When Innocence Disappears
In thinking about this article, something that both saddened and angered me came to mind.
Years ago, I heard a well-known actress talking with a TV show host; I believe it was on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. (So, it has been a long time ago—back when I still had eyesight.)
The famous actress said that when she was a very small child, she remembered sitting on a curb by her home waiting for a family who lived nearby to come by and pick her up to take her with them to Sunday school.
She said she remembered being excited because she would be together with her friends. But it was also a good memory because she enjoyed learning all about Jesus.
She said her father, one of the most famous actors in the history of cinema, would always mock her for wanting to go to Sunday school. He would say things like, “If you want to believe those silly fairy tales, go ahead.”
In telling it, she gave a little laugh, but I saw on her face the probability that the memory wasn’t one she cherished.
That same actress grew up and has been part of many movements that are ungodly, even unpatriotic. I still think of the little girl sitting on that curb and what might have been.
She has said at one point that she became a Christian, but one would be hard-pressed to see any public evidence of that conversion.
All children, although—due to the Fall—they’re born into sin like all of us, are innocent in the holy eyes of God until they grow to spiritual maturity, or the “age of accountability,” as I’ve heard it called since my own early childhood.
That little girl’s innocence disappeared from her life, we can presume, unless she indeed asked Jesus into her life, even at that early age. (I continue to pray that she is saved.) Her excitement and joy as expressed on that TV show might mean she had done so at that early point. I, myself, was saved through confessing Jesus as Savior at only six years of age.
But, again, from her public record, other than her later saying she had become a Christian, I see no evidence of her conversion.
So how does the title of this commentary relate to the prophetic picture?
Loss of innocence—as humans grow without the presence of the Holy Spirit, who lives in those who have accepted Christ as Savior—leads to progressive sinfulness. That is, the person, apart from God, lacks true moral guidance in life. This condition leads toward evil, not godly goodness. Paul, the great apostle, said in this regard: “But evil men and seducers shall [grow] worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived” (2 Timothy 3:13).
Certainly, we can understand this loss of innocence growing into absolute evil when reviewing the history of the lives of Adolf Hitler, Josef Stalin, or mass murders Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacey, and others. However, considering that all of humanity has, since the death of innocence in Eden, been moving ever farther from God’s governing goodness, we can’t ignore the frightening reality of where it’s all heading. The prophetic future is bleak almost beyond comprehension.
I believe there is no more profound example of how evil humankind has come than the millions upon millions of babies who have been murdered in the wombs of their mothers, and even outside the mothers’ wombs once born. America is at the forefront of this anti-God horror, with perhaps seventy million such abortions committed to this point.
And for those who might read this who have aborted their child, please know there is forgiveness of God upon repentance (asking for forgiveness, accepting Christ, and turning from this evil). The baby you have lost will, upon your repentance, be awaiting you in Heaven, with absolute love from God the Father.
And the evil in our very nation has progressed to a level that makes the actress’ childhood experience mentioned earlier come to light dramatically, in my view. This news item makes the point:
Despite her love of Christianity, a young Maine girl has been prevented since 2024 from going to church, attending religious holidays, being “exposed” to the Bible or other scriptural literature, and even having Christian friends — all because of a judge’s order in a parental rights case.
The draconian restrictions have been in place for some 18 months as Emily Bickford and her daughter Ava, 13, wait for a decision on an appeal to the state’s Supreme Court eight months ago after Portland District Judge Jennifer Nofsinger issued the shocking ruling in late 2024 as part of a dispute between the girl’s parents.
Not only has the ruling impacted the lifestyle and pursuit of happiness by both mother and daughter, on its face it appears incompatible with the founding principles of the United States.
The right to worship granted by the First Amendment is not in the grip of any judge to grant or abolish, the Portland mother told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview this week.
“That is not theirs to take away,” Bickford said. “It’s in our Declaration of Independence. Our forefathers knew we had inalienable rights given by God. God gave us the freedom to worship him, and there’s no government that can take that away from us.” (“Exclusive: Girl Kept from Church, Bible, and Christian Friends by Portland Judge Awaits Appeals Court Ruling,” Breitbart, Rapture Ready News, June 9, 2026)
America’s innocence since its birth, when most of the founding fathers had Christianity at the center of their thinking, has all but disappeared. In place of the loss of innocence has come the deaths of nearly seventy million babies, whose murders have been condoned by America’s national government. The results have been the coarsening of culture—the destruction of much of America’s founding innocence.
This is but a prelude to the ramifications of what’s to come due to the satanic influence embraced by those who reject the offer of redemption—the forgiveness of sin offered through God’s grace gift through the death, burial, and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ.
When the innocent (all who are God’s children through acceptance of Christ) disappear in one spectacular moment, evil will make life hell on earth for all who are left behind. Only the guilty will then inhabit this judgment-bound planet. Jesus, Himself, said it will be the worst time of all human history (Matthew 24:21).
The Rapture is imminent. It can happen at any second. All signals show that the time of Tribulation Jesus described is about to begin. The Rapture—the disappearance of innocence (Christians)—will have to take place before judgment falls, like in the days of Lot in Sodom.
Here is how to go to the safety of Jesus Christ in the clouds of Glory and be eternally in the grip of God the Father as His child:
That if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and will believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto Salvation. (Romans 10:9–10)

To the believer, strange objects in the skies are secondary to Who is coming out of the sky very soon, to receive us in the clouds and to take us home.
Nonetheless, there is a fever-pitched interest in aliens since President Trump released the long-awaited UFO-files. Almost 2 billion people have accessed them. Stephen Spielberg wanted to make a movie that explains the unexplainable—yet the UFO phenomena is very explainable!
Made in the Image of God
Mankind are the ones made in the image of God. But, answering the haunting question, “are we alone?”, is easy. We share our universe with angels, archangels, cherubim, seraphim, fallen angels, demons, and entities such as the Prince of Persia—a spirit. So, we are hardly alone.
None of these entities were in Spielberg’s mind when he made “Disclosure Day.” He believes there is active life in other solar systems. He is looking for the extraterrestrial, not the interdimensional. He also thinks that once Christians learn the truth, we could lose our faith. Really, Steven? Seeing how the unseen world of demons operate only strengthens the believer.
Abducted by Jesus
We have the last laugh. Believers will disappear to our Heavenly Home. Conveniently blamed will be the new and celebrated UFO entities who abducted pesky Christians. UFO abductions have been reported for decades and some experiences of survivors are believable. Jesus’ abduction of us will be entirely different!
All of this exploded in the late 1940s just as the new nation of Israel was forming. A coincidence? No, I don’t think so. Satan knew that was the signal that time was running out. That was the beginning of the end. He would kick things into overdrive.
Creatures Out of the Abyss
Since the 1940s, even UFO “occupants” have been seen by some. People describe entities that resemble the demons who come out of the abyss in Revelation 9. We are made in image of God as stated above. These creatures are often described as gross and capable of evil. I believe some of them will be here to torment the left behind world such as those coming out of the abyss.
Still, reliable people like Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN), an evangelical Christian, said if the general public saw what he has seen, they would not sleep at night. What did he see? clearly, something bizarre is going on of last days’ proportion. Is it just the predicted strong delusion? (II Thess. 2:11)
More Popular Than Ever
Prophecy News Watch writes, “Steven Spielberg’s highly-anticipated film, ‘Disclosure Day’, opened in theaters, introducing millions of moviegoers to questions surrounding alien life, government secrecy, and humanity’s place in the universe. Combined with a steady stream of UFO documentaries, streaming services, podcasts, and social media discussions, the topic of non-human intelligence has never been more prominent in the public consciousness.”
An Alien Savior?
Spielberg wanted to explain the unexplainable, but to the believer, all of this is very understandable. But, the demons involved are not cute little ETs we share life with. Evil is waxing worse and worse (II Tim. 3:13). They are part of the coming Antichrist empire. They may eventually announce an alien savior.
Nothing sells like sensationalism. A month ago, a group of American pastors warned that President Donald Trump’s release of ‘alien files’, along with other secrets given to them, could cause doubt among Christians and raise fear. They were told to prepare their flocks!
One pastor said that the upcoming revelations could make the Christian Bible look like a myth.
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) has also claimed that she has seen evidence of alien spacecraft, and claims to know many shocking details.
God Dwells Among Us: We Are Not Alone
We don’t have to hope or wonder at the prospect that “we are not alone” in the universe. We already know we aren’t alone. In his grace, God saw fit to reveal himself and dwell among us.
We are living in incredible times. President Trump says the new Iran deal with bring “peace and security” which leaps out of the Bible (I Thess. 5:3). If you know your Bible, you will be like the Sons of Issachar who understood the times.
Let us look up, not for signs in the skies, or for orbs or mysterious objects, but for His glorious return.
A Nuclear Iran?
Diatribes, as of this writing, have become prolific. President Trump, so the tirade goes, is changing his mind regarding demands he’s made that the Iranian terrorist regime give up its stockpile of enriched uranium that they were building to produce a nuclear weapons capability.
Also, there is talk, particularly in mainstream news sources, that Trump is giving in to Iranian demands that the regime will open the Strait of Hormuz for petroleum and other commercial traffic if the president will pay reparations for the war-making that destroyed the regime’s own war-making ability.
I don’t believe a word of it. Having studied this president for many years and his dealings in the commercial world and now the international community, it is clear that he is patiently, deeply into the art of the deal-making for which he is famous.
But all of this is miniscule in considering its importance to the things truly involved in biblical prophecy. The only thing that really matters in this regard is: What does it mean insofar as it is helping set the stage for the wind-up of this age (Age of Grace/Church Age)?
In that regard, I’d like to look at the matter most concerning to this president and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a matter that’s also at the center of Bible prophecy: the nation now named Iran. By that, I mean what’s in the future for America, Israel, and the rest of the world so far as the possibility of Iran ever having nuclear weaponry? It is interesting to ponder, as we know the God of Heaven has His omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent hand upon all that is transpiring.
First, let’s look at what’s being discussed and bandied about that frames the nuclear Iran question.
When researching reporting on all of this, I found so much specious material—indeed, pure sophistry—in mainstream news sources that I mention it here only to demonstrate how deception, particularly surrounding such a clearly prophetic matter as Iran’s hatred of Israel, is rampant.
The deceptive reports include the supposed documentation that the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei issued a fatwa (legal ruling under Islamic law) against Iran’s development of nuclear weapons, but that American and Israeli threats against Iran caused the supreme leader to think again. The reports from mainstream sources go on to say that successors to the late Khamenei are thinking about doing away with his fatwa, and might now pursue atomic weaponry if, for instance, Israel continues to attack their proxy forces in Lebanon.
Speciousness and sophistry all…
The following somewhat corrals the issue of fear of a nuclear Iran, I believe. A former CIA intelligence analyst recently raised supposed inside information about the true nuclear threat posed by the Iranian regime. According to writer Michael Snyder, whose article, “The Nuclear Rumors About Iran Are Getting Louder,” appears in the June 3 edition of Rapture Ready News, there is reason to count the story as valid, even though he, Snyder, can’t verify the former CIA analyst’s charge.
The analyst, Larry C. Johnson, was interviewed by Newsmax TV program host Judge Andrew Napolitano a short time ago. During that interview, Johnson claimed Iran is prepared to conduct “a demonstration with a nuclear weapon.” The following is an excerpt of information revealed in the interview that Johnson released on his blog. Again, this seems to me be a biased report from a former CIA analyst who could be somewhat at odds—disgruntled—with his former agency and this president for whatever reasons. The “report” is thus somewhat suspect to me. Nonetheless, it offers an interesting perspective on possible prophetic developments:
Pepe Escobar and I received the following intelligence report last Thursday, which was produced by a knowledgeable source with access. I am not reproducing the entire report, but want to highlight the issue of whether or not Iran now has, or soon will have a nuke. Let me emphasize that I firmly support past US intel community assessments that Iran, until now, had no interest in obtaining a nuke.
However, it appears that the surprise attack on 28 February, which followed the aborted color revolution attempted in late December 2025, played a decisive role in changing Iran’s view on this matter…
[Johnson’s analysis:]
Following Trump’s maximalist public response, the Supreme National Security Council deployed its ultimate deterrent. Through Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif—currently the only trusted back-channel between Washington and Tehran—Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian communicated a formally structured, three-step strategic ultimatum if US strikes continued:
- Immediate Withdrawal from the ongoing nuclear peace talks.
- Total Abandonment of the prospective Nuclear Treaty framework.
- The Detonation of a Nuclear Device on Iranian soil—executed not as a weapon of war, but as an undeniable demonstration of sovereign capability and ultimate control over the escalation ladder.
Transmitted by Pakistani FM Ishaq Dar to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, this was not rhetoric; it was a binary geopolitical shock warning. Rubio recognized the gravity, immediately moving to suppress the White House’s escalatory posturing. The Council directed President Pezeshkian to deliver a message to Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Shebas Sharif. Pezeshkian’s message was simple and direct. Prime Minister Sharif then directed his Foreign Minister, Mr. Ishaq Dar, to deliver the message to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Let me emphasize that the source of this information was involved in the decision making process that culminated in the warning delivered to Rubio.
The key phrase — If US Strikes Continued — was delivered to Rubio on Thursday. Based on Iran’s announcement today (Monday) that it was withdrawing from further talks with the US until the Israeli attacks on Lebanon and the Palestinians ends, I believe this intelligence report to be credible.
The ball is now in the hands of Donald Trump and Bibi Netanyahu… If Israel persists in bombing Lebanon — Beirut in particular — then we should expect Iran to announce that it is withdrawing from the NPT. Once free of the NPT obligations, Iran will be free to carry out item 3, i.e., Detonating a Nuclear Device on Iranian Soil. This will be a demonstration intended to warn Israel and the US that further attacks on Iran would carry catastrophic consequences.
Pepe and I received clarification on how Iran has obtained a functioning nuke… The information regarding the construction of this device (or devices) was provided by a third country that does have proven capabilities in this area. Iran’s objective is, with the backing of Pakistan, China and Russia, to raise the risk to Israel of engaging in future attacks on Iran. (“Does Iran Have a Nuke? The report included the possibility of Iran being able to produce an atomic device akin to the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima, Japan, in 1945. It would be a “dirty type” bomb that might produce the effects described in the Jeremiah 49 prophecy we’ve considered in previous articles. Such an explosion could cause the scattering of populations in every direction as indicated in that prophecy about Elam.
One can imagine this evil regime doing such a thing if they believe their rulership is about to be destroyed.
Whether the current Iranian fanatics have at least one such nuclear device, or whether their nuclear weapons ambition is totally removed through diplomatic and/or military action, Ezekiel’s Gog-Magog prophecy apparently indicates that Persia (Iran) won’t use nuclear weapons in its coalition involvement within the attack on God’s chosen nation. In other words, Persia won’t possess nuclear weapons; otherwise, it would almost certainly use them, at least under the present Iranian regime. It is believed to be a land-force assault.
There is mention, of course, of “fire” that falls at that time upon the “coastlands.” However, that seems to be fire sent by God Himself as punishment upon all those who want Israel destroyed.
Stay tuned, as they say. Rather, stay prophetically attuned!
“Come out of her, my people!”
Words from Heaven through prophecy yet future thunders from the voice of God:
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. (Revelation 18:4)
These are words given by the God of Creation as He informed the disciple that He loved, John the Revelator, of a certain city’s impending doom.
Theologians have long debated and offered postulations of every sort about this dynamically influential cultural center where evil will play out until its devastation.
Those arguing the case of the Revelation chapter 18 Babylon the Great seem to relish thinking about whether it refers to a particular nation, an actual city, or—the liberal types would offer—merely an idea of human rebellion that ultimately will be judged.
In some ways, this Babylon seems to mirror Sodom and Gomorrah in the days-of-Lot description in Genesis chapter 19.
The cities comprised another cultural center of debauchery and evil out of which God removed His “people.” Then destruction came, and the archaeologists are just now digging up vestiges of that ancient region. Evidence is now overwhelming that Sodom was an actual city and region at a specific time in history. There is no doubt that it suffered tremendous destruction even greater than what was ascribed to Pompeii under the explosion and aftermath of Mount Vesuvius.
In my view, there is little doubt that the Babylon the Lord described to John is destined to be a literal city. It will, I believe, be the greatest city ever, in terms of the influence it has had on humanity’s rebellion against the God of Heaven. And, yes, the condemnation is also directed at the entire anti-God Babylonian system of all human history since the Fall in Eden.
Because we’re so far along toward the consummation of this Age of Grace (Church Age) as all prophetic stage-setting indicates, Babylon the Great—the city described by the angel to be like no other—almost certainly is on the earthly scene at present.
Such a powerful cultural and commercial center would take decades to develop to the point of being that all-inclusive influence. This is my most pointed argument against Babylon the Great being scheduled for future construction in or around the ancient city of Babylon in present-day Iraq.
Israel is the most tremendous signal of just how late we are in this prophetic hour. We’ve watched in recent days God’s chosen nation—His chosen people—suddenly dominating headlines. Anti-Semitism has grown exponentially just within a few months, stemming from the horrendous attack by Hamas on October 7, 2023.
From that attack most of the world INEXPLICABLY turned to hatred against Israel and instead made the Islamic fanatics who murdered, raped, and kidnapped innocent Jews and others the center of their insane support. Israel was somehow made the evil in all of this, and must, in the satanically inspired view of the anti-Semites, be expunged “from the river to the sea.”
This is inexplicable only if one doesn’t understand God’s Word and Bible prophecy. The hatred is totally understandable if one realizes that Satan, God’s number-one enemy, has targeted God’s chosen people for annihilation.
He tried it throughout the past millennia, and he tried it with Hitler and the Nazis. This last-ditch effort is going to prove to be the devil’s greatest effort because he knows his time is short—very short.
I propose that Babylon the Great might well be New York City. That city fits the description as no other. It is here at this very moment, while all the other prophetic indicators are literally bursting forth during every news cycle.
Here is the prophecy the angel brought from the throne room of Heaven. It is lengthy, but I believe we must look at it carefully to understand its seeming mirror-image of New York City, which most powers-that-be consider the greatest city on the planet.
And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her. And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning, Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come. And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more: The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble, And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men. And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all. The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing, And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls! For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off, And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city! (Revelation 18:1–18)
God’s Word—through the angel here—calls this a “city.” Therefore, I take this messenger at God’s Word. This prophecy is referring to a city.
There is no city on earth like this one…except the great city located on Manhattan Island and its surrounding geography.
With all signals present on today’s horizon, as I said, every direction we look that is setting the stage for prophetic fulfillment (the chief signal being Israel appearing front and center in the news cycles) New York City must be considered a prime suspect for this doomed metropolis.
And this Holy Spirit-directed thought comes to mind: This great city has just recently come under a government with genuine anti-Semitism at its black heart. The new government has moved in many directions to show its disdain for the Jewish population of New York City—even though NYC has a tremendously large population of Jewish people, many of whom voted for the current mayor.
One small step in such an anti-Semitic direction is wrapped up in the following:
Radical socialist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani was the first mayor in over 60 years to skip the city’s annual Israel Day Parade, which was held on Sunday, despite attending other events that celebrate the city’s diverse cultural landscape.
As The Geller Report notes, “Mamdani’s hatred of the Jewish people is so consuming, it defines his mayoralty.”
Mamdani, instead, bizarrely rode around the city on a bicycle in a full suit…
Former Mayor [Mike] Adams took to X to troll Mamdani ahead of the parade, noting, “This year, [the Jewish parade] means even more.”
“At a time when antisemitism is rising across our country and Jewish New Yorkers are facing hatred, intimidation, and attacks at unprecedented levels, you cannot afford silence.” (“Bizarre: Communist Zohran Mamdani Skips Israel Day Parade, Spends Day Riding Bike Around NYC in a Suit,” Margaret Flavin, New York Post, May 31, 2026)
The assaults and insults against God’s chosen people are growing daily and with ever-increasing virulence. Those seeking office in NYC are filled with blatant hatred for Jews and Israel. (And I don’t use the term “chosen” loosely, because God has made it clear they are His chosen people).
Another case in point is the following:
New York Democratic House hopeful Brad Lander doesn’t just bend the knee to Islam; he prostrates himself and licks its evil boot. He attended a Holocaust-denier’s mosque in Queens, repeated a Quranic verse in Arabic, promoted Hamas, and accused Israel of “potentially” committing genocide in Lebanon. This Democrat is on an antisemitic roll.
The New York Sun reported in January 2006 that Al-Khoei imam Sheikh Fadhel Al-Sahlani claimed that Jewish deaths in the Holocaust were “exaggerated.”
“The numbers which have been mentioned are too much,” Al-Sahlani told Sun reporter Russell Berman during the interview. “The numbers, the reasons, we have to study more.”
Al-Sahlani contended that the Holocaust was “done by the Zionists” and expressed admiration for British Nazi apologist David Irving, then in prison in Austria on charges of Holocaust denial, during an interview in April 2006. (“NY Dem Brad Lander Attends Holocaust-Denier’s Mosque, Repeats Quranic Verse in Arabic, and Vows to ‘Partner’ With Muslim ‘Squad’ Members and Mamdani,” Terresa Monroe-Hamilton, RAIR, May 22, 2026)
If we truly pay attention from the perspective of this portion of the Revelation about Babylon the Great, the key is that God at one point tells “His people” to come out of this wicked place that’s about to be decimated by holy fire.
These “people,” I think we should consider, might be referring to the Jewish people who are in Babylon the Great when chapter 18 is fulfilled. God will cause them to “come out,” as the prophecy states. Many of these Jewish people will undoubtedly constitute part of the remnant who will be saved en masse as they see Jesus Christ returning at Armageddon (Revelation 19:11).
Again, New York City has a massive number of God’s chosen people, the Jews, among its population. That number is second only to the number in Israel, the nation.
There is already a growing call for God’s chosen to remove from New York City, as this excerpt reports:
A group of Orthodox rabbis dedicated to religious outreach is calling on the Jewish residents of New York City to immigrate to Israel after Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani—a member of the Democratic Socialists of America and a cofounder of the Students for Justice in Palestine chapter at Bowdoin College in Maine—won the mayoral election.
On Wednesday, hours after news networks announced that Mamdani had clinched the election, the Tzohar Rabbinical Organization issued an open letter to New York City’s Jewish community and Diaspora rabbis, calling for “renewed reflection on strengthening ties with Israel” and “giving deeper meaning to Jewish identity in light of the growing antisemitic discourse” in the city that is home to the world’s largest Jewish community. (“Rabbinic group issues open letter to Jewish residents of New York City, urging them to immigrate to Israel after Zohran Mamdani’s victory,” World Israel news staff)
So we have one more major element of prophecy to consider in thinking on just how near we must be to Christ’s Second Advent—thus how much nearer we must be to the Rapture!
Jan Markell: You Can’t Have A Genuine Revival With False Doctrine Raging
I am a Rapture watcher, and many of you are as well! We have been eagerly awaiting a trumpet and a shout (I Thess. 4) for years and even decades. We have grown tired of wars and rumors of wars; of stories in the news that are heartbreakers; of personal betrayal; of relationships that primarily hurt or fail.
Imminent Means Any Minute!
For years I have believed that the Rapture of believers is imminent. The Rapture is signless, and will be unannounced, and the Bible suggests it could happen at any minute or imminently. No clearly prophesied event must transpire prior to the Rapture.
If the return of Christ for His Church is imminent, then obviously it will be before the coming period of Tribulation with its predicted signs and judgments. In theological language, the Rapture of the Church must be pretribulational.
A Billion Souls to be Saved Soon?
And yet I hear a dozen evangelists stating that we are on the verge of a great revival. One self-proclaimed prophet says that a billion souls will come to faith in the coming weeks and months. If my Rapture is imminent, how can there be an imminent revival?
Which is it?
A gentleman wrote me recently stating, “Jan, you should be hearing the prophetic words for today about a period of coming peace and a worldwide revival. It is about to dawn. The end is not yet! Instead, prepare for your part in the glorious coming revival, not the Rapture.”
Yes, A Revival Is Coming!
The Bible does talk about a coming revival. The question concerns its timing. Is it in the coming days, or is it after the Rapture when the “left behind” world realizes they should have listened to believers like you and me, get a second chance, and multitudes come to faith?
Once the church is gone, God employs supernatural efforts to proclaim the gospel one final time through the 144,000 evangelists. These 144,000 Jews (Rev. 7:4) are “sealed,” which means they have the special protection of God. They are kept safe from the divine judgments and from the wrath of the Antichrist. They can freely perform their mission during the seven-year Tribulation, or “time of Jacob’s trouble.”
As a result of their ministry, “a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language” (Revelation 7:9)—will come to faith in Christ. That, my friends, is a true revival. But, it is post-Rapture and not in the believer’s lifetime.
On top of that, there are Two Witnesses in Revelation who will have miraculous powers to accompany their message (Revelation 11:6), and no one will be able to stop them in their work of evangelization! These men will be true prophets, unlike so many of today’s self-proclaimed prophets, speaking by divine revelation (Revelation 11). Their witness will be so effective that the Antichrist will have them killed, but they will be resurrected.
Additionally, according to Revelation 14:6-7, an angel during the Tribulation will proclaim an “everlasting gospel” to every nation, tribe, language, and people. This message urges humanity to fear, glorify, and worship God because the hour of His judgment has arrived.
All of these supernatural happenings result in the greatest revival in history, but it is not in the Church Age! It is post-Rapture.
Then What Is the Falling Away?
So, what does the Bible say about the spiritual temperature in the last days? It’s not a pretty picture. It describes a great “falling away” (II Thess. 2:3), not a revival.
In Luke 18:8 we read that when the Son of Man comes, will he find any faith on the earth?
In the classic passage written to the church—II Timothy 3—we read that there will only be a “form of godliness” (II Timothy 3:5) that will be prominent in the last days.
The Bible warns about a departure from the faith in I Timothy 4:1-5. Again, that is not the language of a revival. And I don’t think the wolves among the flock, (Acts 20:29) spoken of by Paul, are spreading revival.
It says in II Timothy 4, that in the last days, people won’t even endure sound doctrine. You can’t have a genuine revival with false doctrine raging.
God Will Pour Out His Spirit in the Church Age
And yet it says in Acts 2:15-18 that in the last days God will pour out his spirit on all flesh. There will be gospel-preaching churches and evangelists in these last days. Many of them will be effective. The new media will spread this gospel to the ends of the earth in the Church Age and many will respond—but nothing like the outpouring of the gospel during the Tribulation.
Could we say there is a genuine outpouring of God’s spirit in the last days, but the predicted revival happens when believers are gone and God does it supernaturally? And the Bible talks more about end-time persecution in our day than it does revival.
Perhaps Today!
But don’t lose heart and please, share the gospel while there is still time so those you love can escape the coming Tribulation. And remember, the biblical theme for the coming Rapture is “perhaps today.” Any minute or imminent. Nothing must precede it.

Jesus’ Critical Question for End-Times Believers

I believe Jesus’ command was never more crucial for Christians as at this moment.
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. (Luke 21:28)
Jesus’ Critical Question for End-Times Believers
A recent news item about certain polling data grasped my attention. I’m sure many who look at www.raptureready.com‘s news section had their curiosity piqued and read it as well.
After looking into the matters reported, I found the poll wasn’t as thorough as I would have liked—but it was fascinating nonetheless. Also, it was too one-sided in ethnic make-up. However, I give it enough credence to examine it here because I believe it revolves around a concern the Lord Jesus Christ expressed while teaching about conditions that will prevail at the end of the age.
A new survey finds that Americans are divided over whether they believe Jesus Christ will return by the year 2050.
Among respondents to the survey by the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press and Smithsonian Magazine, 41 percent said they expect Jesus’ Second Coming in the next forty years, while 46 percent said it probably or definitely won’t happen.
The poll suggests that 58 percent of white evangelicals believe Jesus will return by 2050, compared to only 32 percent of Catholics, and respondents with no college education were three times as likely as those with college degrees to expect Christ’s Second Coming in the next forty years. (“Many Americans Expect Jesus’ Return by 2050,” Associated Press/Israel News, 6/23/10).
To be honest, I was quite surprised that 58 percent of white evangelicals believe Christ will return by 2050. This disconnect in my mind comes from the fact that in looking for interest in Bible prophecy within the church today (by this I mean, of course, born-again believers; see John 3:3), my colleagues and I find no evidence to support that percentage.
Perhaps I should speak just for myself, but if my colleagues are honest, based upon conversations we’ve had, they will confess that the interest just isn’t there in those kinds of numbers.
So, a few cynical (I suppose) thoughts regarding the poll come to mind:
- The poll is a complete “guesstimate”—even a prefabrication.
- The poll is skewed because it was taken from among a limited group of believers thoroughly educated in Bible prophecy.
- The poll reflects a flippancy that will agree that Christ could return within the next forty years because the possibility is far enough in the future that the respondents need not worry about changing their personal conduct.
- My colleagues and I are wrong, and the church—”white evangelicals,” in this case—is expecting the Lord’s return in majority numbers.
If the last point is true, then the fact that so many are looking for Christ is well hidden. I’m a blind guy, as many know, so I can’t see things all that well. But interest in Christ’s return—and in Bible prophecy in general, according to everything I hear—is confined to an extremely small number of folks in relationship to the tremendous number of people who claim the name of Christ.
Clicking through Christian TV networks (yes, we blind guys “watch” TV), I rarely come across a prophetic message. Most of the viewing fare consists of the prosperity gospel or entertainment that is for the most part a rather poor knockoff of secular entertainment. The preachers who do present a sound gospel message and sound doctrine seldom to rarely speak on Bible prophecy. And they certainly don’t touch upon the pre-Trib return of Christ in the Rapture.
When I’ve personally asked some of the preachers and teachers why they avoid presenting prophecy, they have said things like: “The people just don’t understand Revelation”; “The subject is just too scary to most people”; or ” We just concentrate on getting people the gospel so they will be saved.”
The honest preachers and teachers say: “I just don’t know anything about prophecy. I’ve not studied it enough to preach on it.”
What a tragedy, a travesty, this is! There is a singular hope (Titus 2:13) that God’s people have in this swiftly degenerating age. Yet, their shepherds—the preachers and teachers, their suppliers of spiritual food—use every conceivable excuse for not telling Christians about their returning Lord.
Some accuse those of us whose mission is to concentrate on Bible prophecy of doing so to the point that we ignore Christ’s love and the Bible’s life lessons for His people.
We in no way believe prophecy should be taught exclusively. However, prophecy constitutes almost 30 percent of the whole Word of God, so the Heavenly Father obviously means for it to be a generous part of the mix for His children’s spiritual sustenance. This is especially true in these days when the signals of Christ’s coming again are every direction in which one looks.
Bible prophecy is being marginalized by those who are supposed to shepherd their flocks, but who don’t want to study it and/or don’t want to risk scaring people out of the pews. This is because it is the feel-good and do-good, entertainment-oriented sermonettes that tickle itching ears and build many of the elaborate end-times edifices.
Understand that I recognize there are huge churches that hold to doctrinal truth and include God’s prophetic Word as part of feeding their attending flocks. This is not to castigate these wonderful pastors, teachers, and staffs. God bless them! But these are in the minority. The dearth of interest in Christ’s coming back in the Rapture, then in the Second Advent, demonstrates the lack of faith resident within Christ’s Body at this crucial hour.
Jesus asked the following profoundly troubling question in that prophetic context: “Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8b). The Lord had a somber message for God’s people who will be alive at His sudden, unannounced coming. I wrote the following as part of a chapter for an upcoming book that I believe gets across the gist of this:
The indifference so prevalent within the church is, itself, an end-times signal, it seems. The Lord obviously spoke to the fact that God’s own children will in large part be indifferent to the prophetic signals. They will not be living as they should at the time of His coming for them, as He promised in John 14:1–3. As a matter of fact, He forewarned: “And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.” (Luke 21:34–36; from a chapter by Terry James in a book to be released in 2010)
I pray more born-again pastors, Bible teachers, and God’s children of this nation and the world will awaken en masse to the staggering implications of Christ’s Second Coming.
God’s Word Trumps Trump

Author’s note: Our president has once again made the statement, apparently to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, that if it were not for himself, Donald John Trump, Israel would cease to exist.
I cringed in every point of my being when I heard him make that anti-God statement recently, just as I did when he made a similar statement back in 2024.

Mr. President, I continue to applaud and support your tremendous efforts and achievements on behalf of our beloved nation, but this anti-Biblical statement cannot stand. Please listen up. Such pride and arrogance achieves no good result under the Watchful Eyes of He Who Rules over all Creation.
Please reconsider and repent so that Judgment from on High might Relent.
God’s Word Trumps Trump.
It appears we are, in a sense, at the end of the cosmic end game. If compared to cards, the winning hand is about to be revealed. And the outcome is not a gamble in any sense.
The One who holds that winning hand cannot lose. He knows every card held by every opponent, and they are all losers. This is because they choose to not accept the hand originally given them, but rather continue determined to play by rules contrary to the One who deals only in truth.
Truth is all that matters in this game, and when deliberately denying the truth, either on purpose or in ignorance, the player suffers loss to one degree or another.
And now I get to the point of this metaphor. I will aim it at the presidential candidate I support in the upcoming presidential election. It is not a gentle comparison I make, because I want Mr. Trump to realize that when it comes to God’s Word, we are not in the hallway of our junior high years. It is a deadly serious matter to deny the truth—and God’s Word is the only truth there is.
In this eternal high-stakes end game, your word, Mr. President, is trumped by the inerrant Word of the one who holds the hand that cannot be overridden.
Your declaration recently is a most egregious misunderstanding of earthly geopolitics from God’s inerrant view.
In his characteristically outspoken manner, Trump has been critical of Jews who support his opponent. At a speech addressing antisemitism Thursday night in Washington D.C., he warned that if Harris enters the White House as president, Israel would be “eradicated.”
“If I don’t win this election, Israel in my opinion will cease to exist within two years, and I believe I’m 100% right,” Trump said. “If I do win, Israel will be safe and secured.”…
Dr. Miriam Adelson, the widow of late casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, [Who leads the way in a large Jews-for-Trump group] spoke in favor of the candidate, saying that Jews have a “sacred duty” to vote for Trump, “in gratitude for everything he has done and trust in everything he will yet do.”…
She has written that Trump “should enjoy sweeping support” among U.S. Jews and Israelis and that Trump deserves a “Book of Trump” in the Bible due to his support for Israel…
She did, however, chide Trump after the event. While noting that his claims had some merit, she added, “Our people have one more secret.”
Adelson quoted from the Passover Haggadah to explain what that secret is, “And this [promise] is what has stood by our ancestors and us; for it was not only one man who rose up to destroy us: in every single generation people rise up to destroy us—but the Holy One, Blessed Be He, saves us from their hands.” (“Trump warns President Harris would “eradicate” Israel but Megadonor corrects him: ‘Jews have a secret’”—Israel365 News)
Donald Trump as president did much to support Israel. He has taken strong and definitive stands against anti-Semitism. For this he no doubt was at least in part brought to that high office by the Lord. But it is obvious from his rhetoric that he is woefully ignorant of the truth in this cosmic end game we’re in the midst of.
This Jewish influencer/supporter has corrected him, although I’ve not seen or heard any evidence of Mr. Trump acknowledging that he was wrong by saying that if he doesn’t win this November, Israel will cease to exist within two years.
Mr. President, I hope someone will pass this along to you. You can’t play junior-high word games when it comes to God’s chosen nation. And I say that as one who is praying that if we reach Election Day, you will be the victor. I pray for your safety, and for ours as a nation.
That God will assure our continued traversing upon this planet is something we can’t know for certain. But the continued existence of the nation Israel is a God-guaranteed matter.
God’s Holy Word trumps your words, Mr. President. Here is that Word, issued from the Holy Spirit-inspired prophet Jeremiah thousands of years ago:
This is what the Lord says, “He who appoints the sun to shine by day, Who decrees the moon and stars to shine by night, Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar—the Lord Almighty is His Name; Only if these ordinances vanish from My sight,” declares the Lord, “will the descendants of Israel ever cease to be a nation before Me.” (Jeremiah 31:35–36)
The date of posting this article is most poignant as we remember October 7, 2023. Israel’s blood-vowed enemies inflicted the most heinous atrocities against the Jewish people since the time of Hitler’s Holocaust.
This is but one more reminder of just how near the world is to entering the time known as Jacob’s trouble (Jeremiah 30: 7). But even during the time Jesus, Himself, said would be the worst in all of human history, Israel and the Jewish people will, as a chosen remnant, be preserved to go into the millennial reign of the Messiah they rejected two millennia ago.
It will not be Donald J. Trump, or anyone or anything other that will bring them to that glorious head of all nations of history. It will be done by the very Word of the Living God!
If his sons forsake My law, and do not walk in My judgments, if they violate My statues, and do not keep My commandments, then I will visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes. But I will not break off My loving kindness from him, nor deal falsely in My faithfulness. My covenant I will not violate, nor will I alter the utterance of My lips. Once I have sworn by My holiness; I will not lie to David. His descendants shall endure forever like the moon, and the witness in the sky is faithful. (Psalm 89:30–37)
Turkey Strutting Its Prophesied Power
There is growing worry, especially among Israeli news sources, about Israel’s future. One primary reason for the angst is Turkey’s dramatically growing desire and efforts to establish hegemony over the entire region. This, they fear is happening while America’s desire to withdraw from the region as “sheriff” threatens to leave Israel to defend itself without US military help.
Turkey, of course, is included, we believe, within the prophesied Gog-Magog assault given by the prophet Ezekiel.
Here is God’s Word on the initiation of that future assault on God’s chosen nation, Israel.
And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee. (Ezekiel 38:1–7)
The term “the house of Togarmah of the north quarters” speaks of the ancient geographical region now occupied by modern-day Turkey.
That nation today is often front and center in news from the Middle East. Under the leadership of a man considered by many to be a voracious dictator, Turkey is indeed seen as flexing its military and hegemonic muscles while strutting upon the end-times stage.
One story frames the situation well, I think:
Israel is closely monitoring a series of regional military and geopolitical developments this week that analysts say could reshape the balance of power in the Middle East, particularly as Turkey expands its influence and the United States signals growing fatigue with military involvement in the region.
The long-standing goal of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to establish his country as the leading Islamist political, cultural and military power in the Middle East as a stepping stone toward resurrecting the Ottoman Empire has been well documented.
This week, some progress appeared to be made toward that goal when the EFES-2026 Combined Joint Live-Fire Field Exercise took place along the Aegean coast near İzmir, involving large land, naval and air forces from the Turkish military alongside contingents from 50 other countries, including Syria and Libya…
Ankara’s growing influence, not only in the Middle East but also in Europe and Africa, is viewed in Israel as an increasingly worrying development.
Students of Biblical prophecy have also noted the prominent mention of ancient regions corresponding to modern-day Turkey, Persia (modern-day Iran) and Libya in the coalition of nations that come against Israel, described in the prophecies of Ezekiel chapters 38-39…
”The U.S. doesn’t want to be in the Middle East anymore, while Iran and Turkey both want to be the new sheriff in town,” said a U.S. CENTCOM intelligence analyst who spoke to ALL ISRAEL NEWS on condition of anonymity.
“They might be willing to share it, or they might compete with each other, while Egypt, Saudi and the rest make a deal with one or the other. Israel might be all alone soon. You better figure something out real fast!” (“Israel Watching Regional Military Shifts with Growing Concern,” All Israel News Staff, May 24, 2026)
Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan exhibits all the attributes given most dictators of the world throughout history. He is an avid anti-Israel Muslim and will easily fit within the Gog-Magog coalition if he is the one to lead Togarmah in the deadly assault on God’s chosen nation and people.
Turkey has joined with the other Gog-Magog coalition members in several ways over recent years. Russia (Rosh) and Iran (Persia), along with Turkey, seem to be the three prime movers and shakers that will lead the deadly attack.
Only it won’t be deadly for Israel. It will be extremely deadly to that Gog-Magog force!
Here is God’s description of that evil coalition’s fate:
Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel: And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand. Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD. (Ezekiel 39:1–5)
This assault will be world-rending because God Himself will unleash supreme power and authority over Satan’s wickedness. All but one-sixth of the forces will be destroyed.
Because this will be an event, probably with nuclear fire, falling upon many nations and their coastlands, I believe this Gog-Magog attack will take place after the Rapture, not before.
Jesus, as I’ve written many times, promises that things will be business as usual at the moment He next catastrophically intervenes (in the Rapture of the Church; see Luke 17:28–30). Therefore, things will not “be business as usual” when God deals with those who would destroy His nation and people.
Again, even as chaotic as our world is now, things are still “business as usual,” with people buying, selling, planting, building, and moving through all the other activities of life. There has been no truly world-rending catastrophe.
But that catastrophe is coming…for believer in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation, however, it will not be catastrophe, but the most glorious moment possible when the Rapture occurs.
Here is how to go to be with Jesus when He shouts, “Come up here!”:
That if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and will believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9–10)
Jan Markell: Is Israel’s Spiritual Blindness A Reason For Christians To Reject Them?
Many believers are shocked that God’s land will be defiled once again in June with a gala LGBTQ event at the Dead Sea. In fact, at Sodom and Gomorrah.
In Romans 9–11, Paul argues that God remains faithful to the Jewish people despite their widespread unbelief in Jesus and worldly pursuits, as his promises are irrevocable (Romans 11:29). God maintains a “remnant” by grace, uses Israel’s partial, temporary hardening to bring salvation to the Gentiles, and promises a future restoration where “all Israel will be saved” at the Second Coming (Romans 11:26).
God is a Covenant Keeper!
God has two sets of covenant people: The Jews and believers. He cannot and will not break a covenant with either. That would make him a covenant breaker, not a covenant keeper. We get back to that pesky word irrevocable.
Beyond that, the Bible says that “salvation is of the Jews” (John 4:22). They are a special people to him. But that makes the June event all the more grievous.
Enter “Pride Land”
The Israeli Foreign Ministry promoted the upcoming four-day event, called “Pride Land,” as the “biggest LGBTQ+ festival ever in the Middle East.” Scheduled for early June, the celebration is expected to transform the desert landscape near the Dead Sea into a temporary city featuring hotels, entertainment venues, and round-the-clock programming.
It is the biggest event of its kind in the Middle East because all other Middle East countries throw homosexuals off of buildings or otherwise kill and torment them!
There is obviously symbolic weight in hosting such an event in a region tied so closely to one of the Bible’s most sobering accounts of judgment, but a secular society does not give judgment much thought.
The Dry Bones Lack Breath!
Ezekiel 36 emphasizes that when the Jews return to the land, they will do so in unbelief. There will be spiritual regeneration much later! The dry bones of Ezekiel 37 reflect a lack of breath or spiritual life. God states he is gathering them back “not for your sake but for my holy name’s sake,” because their presence among the nations caused his name to be profaned. Ezekiel 36 promises that once back in the land, God will cleanse them, give them a new spirit, and cause them to walk in his statutes. But much later.
Eventually, there will be spiritual revival and the land will be as the garden of Eden (Ezekiel 36:35-36).
How Can You as a Ministry Support This?
The story of Sodom and Gomorrah has long served as a warning about moral decline and the consequences of turning away from God. Thus, I am bombarded with questions as to how many ministries could possibly remain on Israel’s side. What was once remembered as a place of reckoning is now being re-branded as a place of celebration. And for many believers, that is a bridge too far. They are abandoning the ship. They have given up on God’s land and people.
Prophecy News Watch says it well: “There is a long and deeply rooted love for Israel within the Christian community. Many see the nation not just as a geopolitical ally, but as a central thread in God’s redemptive story. They pray for its peace. They defend its existence. They celebrate its resilience. So, when something like this emerges, the reaction is not rejection—it is lament.”
Like other secular societies, Israel needs Jesus. Uniting with Israel does not mean we are aligned with everything the nation and people do. Most are in spiritual blindness. Their leaders are spiritually blind. Most of their military is as well. There is a remnant who are regenerated now. That will change someday.
God’s covenant with Abraham is everlasting (Genesis 12:2-3), the Jewish people are God’s chosen people, and Christianity owes a theological debt to its Jewish roots. Israel’s modern establishment is seen by many as the fulfillment of biblical prophecies.
How Odd of God to Choose the Jews
Let’s remember the words out of Deuteronomy 7:6-8: “For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession. The Lord did not set his affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples. But it was because the Lord loved you and kept the oath he swore to your forefathers that he brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the land of slavery, from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt.”
God’s eternal purpose is to bless the world through Israel. Our Bible is a Jewish book, and our Savior is a Jewish Savior. Many Jews are coming to faith in the Jewish Messiah more rapidly than at any time in history.
Everyone reading this article was at one time in spiritual darkness. Someone didn’t give up on you and we must not give up on the Jewish people or the nation of Israel.
Daniel’s Ten Kingdoms Emerging
Yet another pointer to where this generation stands upon God’s prophetic timeline is the emerging of globalism’s powers as they construct the final world kingdom. We have God’s Word on what I believe we see beginning to form as Daniel the prophet foretold through interpretation of Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar’s strange dream:
And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise. And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. (Daniel 2:40-43)
This is the description of the ten-kingdom power base that will form Antichrist’s regime for controlling all peoples of the world. This power platform, too, is described in a brief mention by John, another of God’s great prophets:
And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. (Revelation 13:7-8)
Fifth and Final World Power
Daniel prophesied that the fifth world power will come out of the fourth. We know the order of world empires from history. The first Daniel interpreted was Babylon. The second would be the Medo-Persian. The third would be the Greek Empire, and the fourth would be the Roman Empire, represented in Nebuchadnezzar’s night-vision by the legs of iron. The fifth empire–the final empire, and the only one that is yet to come into being as fulfilled prophecy–is represented by the feet and toes of that metallic monstrosity.
To my understanding, the five world empires given to Daniel in metallic representations–i.e., gold for the head, silver for the breast and arms, brass or bronze for the belly and thighs, and iron for the legs, feet and toes–is indicative of money and the power to rule over the inhabitants of planet earth. Metals have most always been at the center of any economy throughout history. And when the metals represented the power to mold and construct weaponry–e.g., spears, bullets, bombs, warcraft-like tanks, planes, and ships, et cetera–the power of the metal and the economies of the world powers become understandable. Money is power, and power is control. These are inextricably linked.
The fifth world power will come from the Roman Empire, which disintegrated but is reforming, we who observe prophecy from the pre-Trib view believe. We believe the European Union is almost certainly the nucleus out of which this last Gentile power is emerging. This is the area of central Europe in particular. Rome is the very heart of that nucleus.
Antichrist Comes Forth
Daniel also prophesied about the last world empire’s leader who would leap to center stage at just the right moment in Satan’s plans to bring him to power:
And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. (Daniel 9:26-27)
Antichrist, “the beast,” as this vicious future tyrant is termed, will come to power and rule ruthlessly. His power will emanate from economics–the ability to call all to worship him through a mark-and-numbering system that will control buying and selling. (Read Revelation 13:16-18 to understand this 666 system of absolute control.)
Economics Set the End-times Stage
We are witnessing economic rearrangements at present like no other generation has seen. Even the United States–as anyone with any sense of what’s been going on in the news will attest–is being forced into a mold of one-world economic order. It is all leading toward the mark-and-numbering system that will give Antichrist his power. (Read Revelation 17:12-13 to learn of the ten economic power blocs that will develop, then give power and authority to the Beast–Antichrist, the ruler of the fifth and final world empire.)
Again, the European powers are apparently to be the nucleus of this satanic kingdom of ten kingdoms. However, the whole world will be absorbed into this agglomerate power base. The following reports the continuing emergence of other areas of the world that will ultimately join so Antichrist can control most of the world once he leaps upon the stage of post-Rapture history.
The agglomerate bloc known as BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) represents growing economic and demographic heft: the eleven BRICS countries now comprise more than a quarter of the global economy and almost half of the world’s population:
“Whether it’s called a BRICS or ‘Western’ order, it is all the WEF-UN global order.
“BRICS-based multipolarity will save us from ‘The Technocratic Dark State’ by making the rollout of an oppressive global surveillance state much better. This will be the result of ‘improving global governance.’ At least, that is according to the BRICS Outcome Document published by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs after the latest riveting meeting of BRICS foreign ministers.
“The global dictatorship will be a happier, fluffier kind of new world order tyranny under the BRICS’ multipolar model because it will be ‘more just, equitable, agile, effective, efficient, responsive, representative, legitimate, democratic and accountable.’ Fantastic news, doubtless welcomed by those Hrvoje Morić refers to as the ‘Multipolaristas.’
“Though the BRICS’ document reads like the worst kind of globalese dross imaginable, it is important to remember that the BRICS are offering us the promise of a ‘beautiful multi-polar world order defined by win-win cooperation.’ Presumably, this is because humanity must have some sort of centralised, oligarch-led global dictatorship enslaving it for any of us to have a chance to ‘win.’ “(“BRICS proposes a multipolar world order; it is the same as the WEF-UN led world order under a different name,” By Rhoda Wilson, Expose, May 18, 2026)
Paul the apostle wrote of the economic reality that drives the world toward God’s judgment and wrath:
“But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil” (1 Timothy 6:9-10a).
Rushing toward the End
Certainly, the truth of God’s Word frames what’s happening at this time in history, and where it all is heading as the rulers of this fallen sphere grasp for the wealth of this world and strive to cast off the bonds of governance God wisely placed upon the would-be masters of planet earth.
Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days. Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth. Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter. Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you. (James 5:1-6)
We are in the end-of-the-age era of the toes of Nebuchadnezzar’s night vision.
Only the Rapture of believers stand between the people of planet earth who will be left behind and this, what Jesus called the worst time of human history (Matthew 24:21).
You don’t want to be part of that left-behind world. Here once again is how to escape that time and go to Christ and safety when He calls believers:
That if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and will believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10: 9-10)
