Sodom-like Economy Now Worldwide
Here again, I’m on my soapbox. My contention continues to be that Jesus’ prophecy about the days of Lot is coming into view in these times when Sodom-like wickedness is burgeoning.
Again, I believe as strongly as ever that Jesus said the following about the moment of Rapture:
Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. (Luke 17:28–30)
There should not be a question among true believers that we are in Sodom-like days. News reports each hour bring information that burns our eyes and ears with tales of evil. That these days can be likened to Jesus’ prophecy is almost a given.
But there have been reports that the world is about to collapse into a financial heap of disaster and calamity. This goes counter to the Lord’s statement that people will be buying, selling, and building—doing all the things that indicate good economic times like in Lot’s day. It will be just like those days, Jesus said, when He next breaks into this world to bring about God’s ownership again of planet earth. This will begin with the Rapture of all believers—the Church, as Jesus described His building project. Speaking to Peter and the disciples, Jesus said:
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. (Matthew 16:18)
The news of pending economic catastrophe continues to come, with some writers in the Christian community believing that Christians will soon go into the time of Tribulation (Daniel’s seventieth week—seven years of hell on earth.) There will be no Rapture to rescue believers in Jesus Christ of this Church Age, in this view of biblical eschatology—even though Jesus Himself gave John the beloved disciple the following in the book of Revelation:
Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. (Revelation 3:10)
The predictions of the world getting worse in terms of economic conditions until the Tribulation starts continue to mount. These predictions erroneously compete with the Lord’s prophecy about the days of Lot, if I might put kindly how I see the views of those counter to the Lord’s foretelling. Here is one such counter opinion to what is happening as the time of Christ’s intervention nears. While the writer is reporting facts, the one-sided view fails to take into account the other, which I next give as example.
The global energy supply crunch is only going to get worse as long as the conflicts in the Middle East and Eastern Europe are raging. A lot less oil is getting through the Strait of Hormuz than normal, and diesel production in Russia has been significantly diminished by relentless Ukrainian drone strikes…
If things are this bad now, what will they look like a few months from now if World War 3 continues to intensify? …
The clouds on the horizon are getting really dark, and at this point everyone can see that a major storm is rapidly approaching. The economic picture, worldwide, isn’t as bleak as presented above. As a matter of fact, the following news item seems to indicate quite the contrary in validating the buying, selling, and all other things economic in similarity to the days of Lot as foretold by the Lord.
Last year, lefty corporate media outlets pushed the narrative that President Trump’s trade war with the world could trigger a 1929-style economic collapse. However, a new UBS report presents a markedly different picture: global trade growth is running at historically high levels, supported by AI-related demand and rising export prices.
Let’s take a trip in the “wayback machine” and look at Bloomberg’s headlines when Trump was ratcheting up the trade war with China in early 2025. The outlet pumped out an ungodly number of headlines about “recession” and impending economic doom.
Roughly 1.5 years later, UBS’s latest data show continued growth in global trade, despite the recession risks economists highlighted when the tariff war broke out in the first half of 2025.
UBS chief economist Arend Kapteyn wrote Tuesday morning that global export values are rising about 19% from a year earlier, placing growth in the 84th percentile of the past 25 years. Higher volumes account for roughly 8.8 percentage points of that increase, while rising prices contribute another 10.3 percentage points…
The report suggests that global trade remains resilient, but its core strength is concentrated in technology and Asia. That leaves the expansion heavily sensitive to the AI and power grid investment boom. It seems that all the doom-maxxing forecasts lefty corporate media outlets made last summer have fallen flat on their faces. (“Where’s the 1929-Style Collapse MSM Predicted? Now let me say that despite these optimistic economic figures worldwide, this report doesn’t bode well for this fallen world that’s rebellious to God’s governance. It just means that Jesus’ prophecy about the days of Lot are now fully in view in these last of the last days before He calls all believers to Himself. The world’s economy will then indeed crash into chaos, and the times will become worse than any economic depression in world history.
There is indeed a storm of unfathomable destruction on the horizon, including a hurricane-like devastation of the world’s economy. But Christians will be sheltered within the clouds of Glory when that storm hits.
The Rapture will vacate all Christians, and the Tribulation will begin with the making of the covenant with Antichrist, as outlined in Daniel 9: 27.
You don’t want to be here during that horrendous era. Here again is how to go to Christ and eternal safety when He shouts for believers to come to Him.
That if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and will believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10: 9-10)
Satanic Portal Opened
This global sphere called planet earth has always had evil and wickedness running wild upon its surface—even beneath its surface. All we have to do is glance at the record of war and the many millions of deaths from those wars to see that the biblical record of satanic influence has run through the human bloodstream since the time of humanity’s rebellion in Eden.
But there seems now, to the spiritually sensitive, a portal that’s been opened in some way through which evil is pouring in increasing volume.
As I’ve pointed out on numerous occasions, this attack seems directed particularly toward the most helpless—the children in the wombs of their mothers. Abortion is the attack’s true name under the false excuse of “the right of choice.”
And the attack continues through ascending ages of the young. These are fed the most anti-God notions through the demonically brilliant scheme of Satan himself. I refer to the devices that carry the lies directly from that infernal realm that seeks to change the order of God’s creation in every way possible.
Homosexuality is normalized; trans lies of every sort infuse young minds—and even minds of the not so young with the insane thought that there are many genders and that the individual, not the God of Heaven, has the right to determine whatever biological sex one wishes to be. One Supreme Court justice nominee, now a justice on that high court, publicly stated she couldn’t define what is a woman.
Now the evil flowing through that portal is transitioning into a more overt assault against all things godly. But the assault is even more precisely focused on the Lord Jesus Christ Himself.
To begin, we consider the church burnings that are proliferating across America. One such report follows of direct assault on Christ:
Another week, another historic church reduced to smoke, rubble. The former Saint Agnes Church on Martha Avenue in Toledo, Ohio went up early Saturday morning. The 116-year-old landmark’s steeple came down. The roof burned out. Nearby homes were evacuated. Once again the cause is listed as currently unknown…
In America churches are burned, while mosques are not…
Investigators in Toledo have not named a suspect, a motive, or even a cause. Vacant churches do burn by accident. They also burn because someone wants them gone. The public is asked, week after week, to accept “unknown” as the last word while the buildings keep falling.

And the attack on Christ directly isn’t limited to the US. The following further makes clear the portal’s opening to issue in satanic assault.
A British lawmaker is sounding the alarm over what he calls “two-tier justice” against Christians in the United Kingdom, telling Fox News Digital it is now “open season” to discriminate against believers while accusing authorities of allowing extremist Islamist preachers to operate as Christian pastors face harassment and arrest.
Lord Jackson of Peterborough, vice chair of a parliamentary group focused on religious freedom, made the charge while discussing Finnish parliamentarian Päivi Räsänen, a Christian politician whose statements about marriage and sexuality have put her at the center of a years-long European battle over religious expression and free speech.
“It does say a lot about the concerns that many of us have about attacks on Christians, and two-tier justice as between Christians and other faiths, and the fact that Christians, are, it’s open season to discriminate against Christians in the United Kingdom now, and that’s a very regrettable position,” Jackson told Fox News Digital in an interview. And the most pronounced proof that a demonic portal is opened comes from experience reported by my longtime friend whose name you will recognize.
Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, who burst onto the Christian publishing scene with his book, The Harbinger, many years ago, reported an up-close-and-personal attack that made the worldwide news recently. The news world, for some reason, was quite tardy in finally giving a full report. Media had only said there was an incident where an unruly, even crazed, passenger had to be subdued by being duck taped to his seat in the plane during an American Airlines flight from Dallas to New Jersey.
Jonathan has issued a video in which he says the passenger who attacked him was the man sitting next to him in that flight, which was diverted to an airport en route to New Jersey. He gives in vivid detail the demonic nature of the assault and the crazed man who was removed when the plane was diverted to a closer airport.
Jonathan has just authored yet another book that is receiving major notice. This one is about The Altar of Pergamon, known as the throne of Satan.
The man in the seat next to Rabbi Cahn, who is a Messianic Jew, was friendly, but morphed into one apparently demonically possessed when he saw the book cover on Jonathan’s laptop. The man attacked Jonathan, screamed anti-Semitic pejoratives, and cursed the name of Jesus in a rage of blasphemy. Mainstream media delayed giving the full story to make sure of details and their accuracy, I presume. And they would never bring in the demonic aspects of the matter, we can be assured. At any rate, it is a most telling story of where we are on God’s prophetic timeline, and where things are quickly moving toward Daniel’s seventieth week (the Tribulation). The portal from the abyss into this fallen world is opening!
This means Jesus is about to step onto the clouds of Glory and make that shout: “Come up here!” (Revelation 4:1)

Any validation needed that this earthly sphere now has an end-times portal opened from the dark dimension is provided hourly by news feeds around the world. Things going on make people ask –perhaps make you ask: “What on earth is going on?”
Demonic powers and principalities in high places are more and more active as the unseen entities against which we struggle, like the Apostle Paul warned as recorded in Ephesians 6: 12. But the “unseen” part of this increasingly obvious Truth has, in this writer’s view, burst in the open for all to witness at this late hour of the Age of Grace.

It was a suddenly changed passenger, possessed, no doubt, by demonic influence, who had, finally, to be restrained by being duct-taped to the seat until the plane could land at an airport to which it was diverted.
There could be no more profound Truth about this intrusion by the dark forces than this story that was published worldwide. However, the demonic aspect will never be exposed by secular media, of course.

Unnatural Affection on Display
Of all of the Apostle Paul’s perilous times warnings for the very end of the Church Age, none, to my way of thinking, is more starkly represented in headlines today than the term “without natural affection.”
As most who read these commentaries know, I believe the atrocities inflicted upon the most innocent among us—the babies and small children—is most indicative of just where we must stand on God’s prophetic timeline. When I say “innocent,” I mean they haven’t yet reached the cognitive ability to recognize that they need Jesus Christ as their Savior. I believe their names are still written in the Book of Life until they reach that realization and choose to accept or reject Christ.
So, they are innocent in the holy eyes of God until that point. If they choose to reject when fully able to realize they are lost and need Christ to save them from their sinful status, their names are blotted out of the Book of Life. Their names are written back in, I’m convicted, once they then choose to accept God’s grace gift offer through the shed blood of His Son Jesus—the Lamb that takes away the sins of the world.
Paul tells directly that the last days will be marked as being “without natural affection.” We have looked at how men having sexual relationships with other men and women having such relations with other women is one major signal indicating “without natural affection.”
God’s Word tells us that such is unseemly and against nature, as any sane person should be able to recognize.
However, today, even a supposedly brilliant Supreme Court justice doesn’t know what a woman is, although she is one, and one political party champions that there are many genders and questions anyone who challenges that reprobate notion.
But an equally powerful proof that this is a generation that is “without natural affection” is found at the top of headlines in every news cycle. The evil coming against the most innocent of humankind—the babies and small children—is there for anyone to understand. There is an insanity—a satanic, reprobate insanity that seems to have blocked understanding of a growing number of people on this fallen planet.
Considering our Rapture Ready news on Raptureready.com, we see this proof. A few examples in our news links show the proof that these are indeed “perilous times,” as Paul puts it.

“Experiencing A Psychotic Episode…”: First ‘Clancy Copycat?’ Mom Hangs 2-Year-Old Son
A horrific copycat Lindsay Clancy murder of a child has been committed by a woman in Frankfort, Illinois. Prosecutors say Corie Walsh hanged her 2-year-old son, Barrett, from a basement rafter on Tuesday, then tried to kill herself with a knife. She told police she did it because the boy was the “devil” and the “anti-Christ.” Witnesses said she had become “very invested” in the Lindsay Clancy trial and was still texting friends about it hours before her son was found.
These types of stories appear weekly, sometimes dominating the news on RR and other venues. Satan’s assault on the most VULNERABLE of humanity is proliferating.
Our own state has experienced such unspeakable activity—so much so that there have been reporters who shed tears while trying to describe circumstances.
I was very touched that one of the state’s top radio program hosts prayed a beautiful prayer for a child on air after reporting the story of a little girl assaulted in a heinous way. He ended the prayer in the name of Jesus, and that was doubly touching to me. That’s a rarity in today’s media.
(Sadly, I hear now that the little one has died in the hospital.)
We must wonder—we who name that most holy of all names, the Lord Jesus Christ—just how long God will allow this evil against the little ones to go on throughout the earth.
The answer, of course, is found in the prophetic words issued by the Apostle Peter:
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. (2 Peter 8–10)
Peter is saying that God’s timing is not like our faulty schedules and that He will not be tardy in accomplishing His perfect will. The Rapture will occur like a thief in the night, then all will play out exactly as He has directed from eternity past to eternity future, when all the things of earth will be burned up and the heavens and the earth remade into His perfection.
All babies who have been aborted, all little ones who have suffered premature death, will live forever in that perfection.
The unnatural affection, spawned and fomented by the one called Satan, will never again be experienced by those who are in God’s family.
If you don’t know the one who makes that blessed future a certainty for all believers, here is how to come to Him for God-guaranteed life for all of eternity in that heavenly perfection:
That if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and will believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto Salvation. (Romans 10:9–10)
Choose You This Day…War or Peace
Russian writer Leo Tolstoy wrote the massive fiction titled War and Peace, considered one of the greatest of all love stories. It portrays how protagonists Natasha, Prince Andrei, and others suffered through the great Napoleonic Wars as the famed emperor attacked the Russian motherland. In a sense, Tolstoy seemed to explain in microcosm life on a planet that is in a constant state of war, but always seeking peace.
The Word of God tells us that this is the condition of fallen humanity since Eden. We cry “peace, peace, when there is no peace” (Jeremiah 6:14 and Jeremiah 8:11, with a similar thought also found in Ezekiel 13:16 and Micah 3:5).
That we are still in the throes of war that destroys earthly peace is proven hourly in our news feeds. Ironically, one appropriate example involves the writer of War and Peace in an indirect way.
Pyotr Tolstoy, deputy chairman of the State Duma and great-great-grandson of Russian writer Leo Tolstoy, has called for massed bombing of Ukrainian cities to break the resistance of the people living in them and force a surrender, the news outlet 24 Kanal reported.
Russia denies striking civilians and claims after each attack that it hit military targets, even as its missiles land on homes, hospitals, power plants, and food depots. Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi said Tolstoy’s words should be grounds for an International Criminal Court arrest warrant, calling them a Russian official’s demand for war crimes.
What Tolstoy has urged in public, Russian forces have done for more than 12 years while denying it.
The presenter proposed emptying the cities.
On the state talk show Vremya Pokazhet, which Tolstoy hosts, he was reminded that more than 20 million people live in Ukraine and asked what would become of them if the country were turned to scorched earth. He proposed warning residents a day before strikes so they could flee their homes.
“You think we are calling for cruelty? We are calling for demoralizing the population so thoroughly that it comes out to meet our troops with its little paws up,” Tolstoy said.
Then he named the reason.
In the end, Tolstoy described what Ukraine means for Russia’s plans.
“[Ukraine] is the kind of territory that will allow us to export our energy resources to Europe by the short route,” he said. (“A senior Russian official said out loud what Russia’s missiles do every night,” 24 Kanal, RR News August 29, 2026)
It becomes more obvious with each passing day that Russia is building toward war. Whether such war can be contained to Putin’s need to conquer Ukraine is questionable. Because he is losing the ability to act as the strong-man leader in not having yet defeated the smaller foe, the question is: Might the thought to instigate a wider war in order to prove himself be the “evil thought” Ezekiel the prophet referred to in the Gog-Magog prophecy?
War is inevitable, and peace is not possible in this post-Eden fallen world. James the apostle says the following about this matter.
From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. (James 4:1–2)
The fallen nature of humans precludes asking the God of Heaven for anything because they want what is in their own will, not what is in God’s will. And when they do ask, they show that they aren’t serious, or that they don’t believe in the God of Heaven—because they omit the Holy Name of the only Person to whom God the Father will respond in answering prayer.
An example of this, I believe, is a long, eloquent, prayer read by President Franklin Roosevelt as D Day approached. Like I say, his prayer was long, eloquent, and given with great oratorical skill. Its egregious flaw was that he ended with only the word “Amen.”—no mention of Jesus Christ whatsoever. To any Christian who truly knows about prayer, this was a serious omission on Roosevelt’s part. Thankfully, God did see to it that the assaulting forces prevailed on that day, but not, I’m convinced, because of Roosevelt’s prayer on that occasion.
Jesus instructed the following:
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. (John 14:13)
When we hear public officials pray, even if they indicate that it’s a Christian prayer, they seldom end with the name of Jesus, as Jesus instructs. They therefore show that they refuse to choose to serve and obey Jesus or God the Father. They, again, want to do what is right in their own eyes, or their own will. And it is a collective will that serves Satan, not God, in this fallen, worldly system of governance.
It is an all-important matter to consider, as Joshua commanded when issuing Heaven’s instructions to God’s chosen people of Israel:
And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. (Joshua 24:15)
Within such obedience as Joshua upheld is the only peace to be found. For it is the peace found only belief in the Lord Jesus Christ, who promised the following to those who serve Him:
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John 14: 27)
So we must choose this day whom we will serve.

That if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and will believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9–10)
On Everybody’s List: Jews Face ‘The Greatest Threat Ever’ :: By Jan Markell
Let that headline settle in your mind and heart. You don’t even have to be pro-Israel to find it disturbing. And it may be one of the most significant “signs of the times” today.
One of my favorite writers, Jonathan Brentner, states, “The steadily intensifying antisemitism of our day points to the reality of the rapidly approaching Tribulation period. It’s one of the more distinguishing signs of our time because it aligns with so many prophecies that predict hatred for Israel and the Jews during the last days.”
U.S. Democrats
Almost all members of the Democrat Party in Washington have turned on Israel. They have approved financial aid to Israel since 1950 and much more after 1973. In recent years, it has been $3 billion a year—which they now wish to cancel. According to Pew Research, eight-out-of-ten Democrats view Israel unfavorably. Consider that as recently as 2015, most all Democrats were pro-Israel.
When the October 7 slaughter took place, Leftists decided that was the time to switch sides and cheer for the barbarians—not Israel!
The Jews Are On Everybody’s List
Britain’s most senior police officer warned that antisemitism has reached unprecedented levels, saying Jewish communities face their greatest threat to date as authorities confront a series of attacks and rising tensions. It is not uncommon today to hear people state that the Jew-hatred of the 21st Century is comparable to the hatred that led to near genocide of the Jews in the 1930s.
Mark Rowley, head of the Metropolitan Police, said British Jews are being targeted by a wide range of extremist actors, which he linked, in part, to the influence of social media. He states, “The ghastly fact is that Jews are on everybody’s list, all of those hateful groups, whether you’re extreme right, whether you’re extreme left, whether you’re Islamist terrorist, whether you’re right-wing terrorist,” he told The London Times.
Bad Theology Leads to Anti-Semitism
Pastor Gary Hamrick of Cornerstone Chapel in Virginia writes, “In the year following the Oct. 7, 2023 attack on Israel by Hamas, over 10,000 antisemitic incidents were recorded in the U.S.—an increase of 140% over the previous year—and the most ever since the Anti-Defamation League began tracking antisemitic acts in 1979. On college campuses, in workplaces, among ‘influencers’ and politicians, even in some circles of the church, antisemitism is raising its ugly head.”
Hamrick continues, “We’re seeing pastors today who refuse to support Israel because they’ve been influenced by replacement theology’s faulty interpretation of Scripture, and there are terrible repercussions for giving place to this damaging theology. When the church entertains the idea that God has somehow replaced His covenant with the Jewish people, it provides fuel for the fire of those who would do Israel harm.”
And never forget that it was replacement theology that allowed many in Germany to go along with Hitler’s slaughter of the Jews.
Dark and Disturbing
The outstanding online Christian newspaper Harbinger’s Daily reports, “Once again, Canada has received a failing report card on its treatment of its Jewish community. The results were not only terrible—the findings were dark and disturbing.”
Writer Robert Gottselig of Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry in Canada, concluded in the Harbinger’s Daily article, “The report described Canada as facing a ‘national crisis of antisemitism.’”
“Fleeing” to Israel for Safety?
From 2021 to 2025, antisemitic incidents increased by 46% in Argentina, 60% in Canada, 64% in the United Kingdom, 124% in France, 131% in the United States, 215% in Germany, and 270% in Australia. As the headline to this article states, this is the greatest threat to Jews ever because this time it is global.
From Argentina to Australia, Jewish people across the globe report hiding their Jewish identity in public and questioning whether they have a future in their home countries. And yes, God allows some of this calamity as it drives many of them home to Israel. Indeed, tens of thousands are seeking safety in Israel.
What You Can Do
Robert Gottselig makes the following suggestions to Bible-believing Christians: “Reach out and stand with the local Jewish community. Go to your local synagogue, call the rabbi and take him for lunch or coffee. Tell him that, as a Bible-believing Christian, you love and stand with Israel and the Jewish people.”
He concludes, “Support ministries like the Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry that bless Israel and share the gospel—the good news of Israel’s Messiah— with the Jewish people. Above all, be a Christlike witness, responding with truth from God’s word, compassion, and courage.”
How Odd of God to Choose the Jews
And always “pray for the peace of Jerusalem” (Psalm 122:6). It is, in fact, a commandment! Christians may be their last loyal friend. Someone once wrote: How odd of God to choose the Jews, but not so odd as those who choose the Jewish God, yet spurn the Jews.

End-times Sodom Evidence Mounts
As those know who read this column, I believe a primary prophecy that describes the very moment the Lord Jesus Christ will call all believers into the clouds of Glory is wrapped in the following Scripture passage given by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself:
Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. (Luke 17:28–30)
Jesus was so intimately involved with the fate of the city of Sodom that He made this a cornerstone foretelling about His next “revealing” of Himself. He said the people and circumstances, the social and cultural environs of that moment when He next intervenes catastrophically into the affairs of humankind, will be just like Lot’s circumstances and times when God removed Lot and his family, then totally destroyed Sodom.
We’ve looked many times at just how wicked our current times are, with anti-God activity the norm rather than aberrant, in many cases. We have looked specifically at the characteristic of the days we’re now living in as being very similar to the days in which Lot lived in Sodom.
There is no doubt that the characteristic that had grown to the most pronounced extent—the most egregious to God—was homosexuality.
Remember that the angels, in the form of men, were threatened by the raging homosexual men who surrounded Lot’s home. God removed Lot and those of his household just as the providentially blinded homosexual men were about to invade the house.
Jesus tells us through the Luke 17:28–30 account that things will be like this when the world will see Him “reveal” Himself. It will be with the rescue we’ve come to know as the Rapture of the Church—all born-again believers in Jesus Christ for salvation.
Evidence is mounting, without question, that the homosexual invasion continues.
It seems to me that, like other proliferating anti-God things taking place in the US these days, the homosexual assault is manifesting in Minnesota, specifically in Minneapolis.
Here is a news story that presents growing evidence of these Sodom-like days.
According to the Minnesota State Fair’s schedule, POWER: Drag Revue will perform multiple times on Aug. 27 and 28 on state fair grounds.
The fair schedule says, “POWER: Drag Revue is a high-energy drag performance showcase celebrating the artistry, creativity and diversity of Minnesota’s drag community.”
Drag shows, which feature men dressed as women, have been continuously mainstreamed in recent years. Earlier this year, a drag performance was held inside Minneapolis City Hall which was reportedly the first time such an event had been held there.
According to Mpls.St.Paul Magazine, POWER: Drag Revue is a “BIPOC-focused musical sketch” formed after George Floyd’s death that has a “goal of expanding opportunities in the Twin Cities for historically underrepresented queer performers and artists.”
POWER: Drag Revue depicts its performers in exaggerated, garish representations of women. Several images on that page show apparent drag performers in revealing, sexualized outfits…
Since news of the drag shows broke earlier this week, the planned performances have faced backlash. Republican state Rep. Mary Franson reacted to a news story about the drag shows, saying, “Gross.”
Former state Rep. Jeremy Munson, a current candidate for Minnesota Senate, mentioned the drag shows in a list of fair events and said, “The State Fair is no longer a place we look forward to attending and it continues in the direction of not being welcoming to families.” (“Planned drag show performances at Minnesota State Fair face backlash,” by Rachel Rossum, Alpha News MN, August 21, 2026)
Promoters of the show claim it’s all in good fun, and children, especially, should be brought to see the “delightful” performances, as men, prancing about in revealing, highly sexualized feminine attire entertain the crowds.
My imagination goes to those days in Sodom—and likely in Gomorrah, too—when such “delightful” performances surely must have entertained the crowds. We certainly have no trouble understanding what the God of Heaven thinks about such activity.
They are just now beginning, through digs at the south end of the Dead Sea, to find vestiges of what’s left of those twin cities. And it comes to mind, coincidently, that the cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul are known in their duality, are they not? The twin cities are more and more at the center of homosexual and other wickedness that has been lately reported.
Now this is not meant to in any way besmirch the people of Minneapolis/St. Paul. There are many who protest against what is happening there in terms of anti-God activity.
But we must be alert to what’s going on as a spreading, cancerous sin that threatens to infect American culture and societies in ways that bring God’s judgment upon any people who embrace ways of life symbolized by these effeminate displays by the homosexual influencers.
Here is what God’s Word has to say about such matters of ungodly activity.
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9–10)
While not meaning to cast aspersions on the people of those twin cities, I must say that this area of our nation seems increasingly to embody the modern incarnation of the twin cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. –As America, to me, seems more and more to take on the characteristics of the Babylon of Revelation chapter 18.
The answer to stopping this downward movement through anti-God comportment, of course, is prayer and repentance. —Prayer by each of us, individually, who are Christians—for the people of America to repent and turn back to God and godliness.
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7: 14)
Heaven’s Death Statistics
As I began writing this, Dolly Parton had just died. According to one of her nephews who headed her security for years, Dolly was a believer in Jesus Christ. She was at the moment of her death “resting in the arms of Jesus,” the nephew said. We can certainly hope that is true, of course. But that’s between her and God, as believers know.
Neither fame, celebrity, riches, nor anything else of this world can assure salvation. There is but one way to salvation and eternity with God. Jesus explained that He is that Way, as recorded in John 14:6):
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
The famed singer/songwriter/actress apparently died after a short struggle with cancer of some sort, according to news reports. This sparked another report that interested me. It was a list they gave from the Center for Disease Control.
The list gave the numbers of the leading causes of death causes for the year 2025, I think. They were the following (cdc.gov, Faststats Leading Causes of Death-Centers.)
Top 10 Leading Causes of Death
- Heart disease
- Cancer (malignant neoplasms)
- Accidents (unintentional injuries, including drug overdoses and motor vehicle crashes)
- Stroke (cerebrovascular diseases)
- Chronic lower respiratory diseases
- Alzheimer’s disease
- Diabetes
- Nephritis, nephrotic syndrome, and nephrosis (kidney disease)
- Chronic liver disease and cirrhosis
- Suicide.
The top three numbers of deaths in the US were:
- Heart disease: 683,491
- Cancer: 619,876
- Accidents (unintentional injuries): 197,449
These are the statistics given by our government about the causes of death for one year. The Center for Disease Control keeps as careful records as possible. They (government officials) desire to do so in order to prevent future deaths from these dreaded causes as much as possible.
They cannot prevent these deaths. Death is inevitable. Each and every one of us alive at this moment will die—except, of course, if and when the Rapture occurs in our lifetimes.
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment… (Hebrews 9:27)
So there is great concern by American government officials and politicians for these statistics. Any significant increase somehow, they believe, will reflect badly on their ability to reduce or maintain the status quo about these numbers and the causes of the numbers. To fail in at least maintaining the status quo might mean loss of power and control in the political/governmental world.
But God’s heavenly accounting system is far different, we must consider. And the one way it is Infinitely different is that there is a statistic left out of the US and other governmental accountings.
All the statistics listed for last year are skewed by the deaths of 1.1 million not accounted for by the CDC. That is the number of babies aborted last year, if I am hearing the correct statistic. Some 1.1 million human beings are murdered in the wombs of their mothers –mostly for the cause of choice, as reported.
Staggeringly, seventy-three million children were killed in such a way worldwide in the year just past.
Heaven’s accounting system of such yearly deaths must surely ring loudly in the throne room while those deaths register.
What a disheartening matter it is to hear and consider such statistics. Defenseless little ones, innocent of any sin overtly committed, executed, in almost every case, for the sake of convenience.
However, there is tremendous truth that can salve the understanding of those who abhor this murderous tendency of humankind to destroy their own children for convenience of choice.
Each and every one of these little ones so killed in the abortion evil are instantaneously in the presence of God and will enjoy the blessings of eternal life.
We understand this because of God’ very character, which we have looked at a number of times in considering children and the Rapture.
The most dramatic case to prove that babies go to be with the Lord upon death is, of course, the child produced from David’s illicit affair with Bathsheba. David said that the baby couldn’t come to him, but that he, David, would go to the baby one day upon death.
Every baby that dies, even those that are but fetuses, even those just conceived, will go to be with the Lord if they die in the womb or before the age of accountability –the age or cognitive level achieved to be able to decide to accept or reject God’s offer of salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Now that is a reason to praise such an accounting system, as opposed to our governmental accounting systems that completely ignore the deaths of these innocent little ones.
And, again, I can’t mention the matter of abortion without offering this comfort for those who have aborted a child. There is no sin that is unforgivable but that of unbelief. That is refusing to accept Christ for forgiveness.
God offers His grace—His forgiveness—even for the terrible sin of abortion.
Again, I want to emphasize that this is a most significant matter in our consideration of what we are charged with by Heaven to accomplish through our website Raptureready.com.
Although even some among conservative seminaries who teach the pre-Trib Rapture say I’m wrong, I believe that every baby, every child below that age of accountability, will go to Christ when He calls the Church to Himself. I believe with all that is within my spiritual understanding that God is going to make a statement that no one can miss when that shout, “Come up here!” (Revelation 4: 1), is made by Jesus. The world will suddenly be absent of all babies and small children—and all others who never came to the cognitive ability to make a decision for Christ. The God of Heaven will at that moment let this rebellious world know exactly what He thinks of the sin of abortion, and exactly when life begins.
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. (Revelation 22: 20)
Jan Markell: A New Global System Of Government Is Coming, And Democratic Socialism Is Helping To Build It
Prophecy watchers know a new system of government is coming. We see signs that the system is already forming. Nothing says “one world system” and totalitarian government like today’s Democratic Socialism. This is the brand being marketed by Bernie Sanders, Zohran Mamdani, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. They have legions of followers and like-minded radicals.
The Antichrist needs a one-world system, and Democratic Socialism is helping to build it today. It will be the governing system during the Tribulation, also called the “time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jer. 30:7). Many just call it Daniel’s 70th Week (Daniel 9:24-27).
The Antichrist Cannot Allow Capitalism
Democratic Socialism intends to replace capitalism. The Antichrist cannot allow free-market capitalism. He must control everything. And leftist lunatics, who think they are doing the world a favor with their form of government, are actually setting the stage for absolute evil.
A recent Gallup Poll revealed that two-thirds of Democrats view socialism positively. A new poll from CNN finds that a third of Democrats identify as Democratic Socialists. They are drawn to hot-button issues such as government-run healthcare, public housing, and higher corporate taxes. And a startling number of the under-age-35 generation prefer such a system. Today’s education system has glorified it!
It should alarm every freedom-loving American that at least one Democratic Socialist—the above-mentioned Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez— is a frontrunner for President of the United States in 2028.
Just Another Form of Marxism
Socialism is just another form of Marxism as it divides people into classes and thrives on class warfare. It promotes the redistribution of wealth, but it is government that decides who gets what.
Both Dr. Mark Hitchcock and Dr. David Jeremiah have presented compelling messages warning of the growing threat of this system in America. Both suggest this could even lead to America’s demise as we know it, and that it is preparing the way for a Mr. Fix-It.
Bring Israel Down As Well
Democratic Socialists also despise the nation of Israel. They want to end all U.S. support of Israel, make Jerusalem the capital of a Palestinian state, and bring Israel down to defeat.
They favor immigrants and criminals, as they want to abolish all prisons! They would defund the Department of War. Their priority is the Green New Deal. But sadly, they are gaining strength in America every day, and their ideology of totalitarianism/Communism has killed over 100 million people in the last 120 years.
Democratic Socialists see this as a form of economic justice. The world is a zero-sum game split between the rich and oppressive one percent, whose wealth and success are driven by “unfettered capitalism.” They compare it to Roosevelt’s New Deal. Both FDR and Hoover’s economic policies prolonged the Great Depression—hardly a legacy we should aspire to emulate.
Is This Why America Is Absent from Bible Prophecy?
Clearly, if left unchecked, this philosophy and political system will lead to America’s downfall. Does this explain the absence of America from Bible prophecy? I think so. Elections do have consequences. Bible believers have a front-row seat to watch things form that were predicted long ago; however, this is a tough one to watch.
It is comforting to know that true believers escape that terrible time to come known as the Tribulation. But we are stuck here watching all sorts of end-time activity form, daily wondering how much more we have to witness.
Democratic Socialism is seeking a one-world system that is outlined in Revelation 13. It will have a single leader. Capitalism will be crushed. Believers will be gone.
What we see today is setting the stage for the ultimate global cabal.
