We don’t get to choose where we are born. And there is no paradise on earth. I have written on multiple occasions about living in a wicked city. Minneapolis, and the greater Twin Cities’ area, is a hot-bed of crime, lawlessness, Somali scandal, leftist lunatic politics, and has attracted the second largest homosexual population in America.
City officials and your average leftist, demonize ICE efforts locally—efforts that would throw the illegal bums out. We watched that all of January, 2026. It is no better here in the spring of 2026.
Ruled by the Spirit of the Antichrist
I often state that I live in the land of 10,000 lakes, taxes, and terrorists. Bill Clinton dropped 100,000 Somalis on us so I often state that I live in “Mogadishu on the Mississippi.” The Democrats didn’t care that they had no skills or education and would not assimilate. They would vote Democrat so that’s all that mattered.
Minneapolis and the surrounding area clearly are ruled by the spirit of the Antichrist. I have reported that we can no longer walk around our dozens and even hundreds of local lakes. There are too many burka-outfitted questionables watching us. One cannot tell if they are carrying a weapon.
Sadly, I have lost just a ton of friends who have had it with all of this, plus sub-zero winters. They have hightailed it to a red state.

A Day to Remember!
Terry then goes on to recount one of the most stunning events of my lifetime. This dates back to the summer of 2009. It was a cool day—not tornado weather which we know well. He says . . .
Less than a month after Nathan and I visited Minneapolis, Heaven made a direct statement about wickedness taking place in the city and area even then, before all the evil we’ve witnessed there in recent weeks.
On August 19, 2009, the first buildings on the downtown side of I94 in Minneapolis, the Minneapolis Convention Center and a church, were struck by a tornado. The twister severely damaged the convention center roof, shredded some tents on the grounds, then broke off the steeple of the church, splitting in two the cross atop the steeple before it lifted.
It was 2:01 p.m. that the tornado touched down at Central Lutheran Church, the largest ELCA cathedral in North and South America, where the assembly had gathered for worship.
At the very moment of the storm, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America was meeting in a convention in Minneapolis to vote on whether to begin ordaining practicing homosexual pastors. For years, liberals had tried to get this policy change through, but it had always been thwarted.
Pastors and other theologians at the time called the out-of-the-blue tornado a “warning” from God to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, which had been meeting to debate a liberalized policy on homosexuality. This is also definitely my thought on this dramatic weather event that produced what was, I believe, a spiritual tornado. At least, I think it was meant to give God’s opinion about that organization’s ungodly decision.
Soros Stirs the Pot
The darkening demonic activity only intensified after that ordeal. We saw it in 2020 with the George Floyd ordeal when 1,000 properties were destroyed. A huge swath of destruction on our south side is still not re-built. Soros and Communist influence in our area is intense.

On Thursday, the Minneapolis City Council voted to begin the legislative process that could potentially lead to the legalization of “adult bathhouses and sex venues. Since 1988, adult bathhouses have been outlawed in Minneapolis.
Those bathhouses, which housed saunas and pools, were almost exclusively frequented by gay men who met up for anonymous sex. As a result, the bathhouses were a hive of sexually transmitted diseases.
Now, the Minneapolis City Council has advanced a measure that could result in bathhouses returning to the city. In a 12-0 vote, the 13-member city council directed staff to explore changes to existing law regarding bathhouses. (“Minneapolis advances measure that could lead to legalization of ‘adult bathhouses and sex venues’” by Luke Sprinkel, Alpha News MN).
The Left never figures out their methods never work. They are dark, anti-biblical, pro-death, and utterly destructive.
Principalities & Powers Attack
But the author does not leave this story on a low note. Terry concludes this way:
In reflecting on my brief conversation with Jan and thinking about that once-great American city, the realization struck. This city, which is obviously under satanic attack, is a target for the Ephesians 6:12 powers and principalities for reasons that make spiritual sense.
This is the area of the world where the gospel of Jesus Christ exploded onto the world in modern times. With the coming of mass communications came perhaps God’s foremost evangelist. It is a name everyone in America recognizes, and this goes for the people of most of the world as well.
September of 1950 was when Billy Graham’s organization was founded in Minneapolis.* The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association was the very heart of powerful expansion of the saving message of Jesus Christ.
Jan’s own ministry carries on that all important push to get the message that Jesus saves—from this geographical area. Is it any wonder Satan and his minions wage war on this Twin-City area that serves as the center for evangelization of America and the world?
Those minions of Minneapolis might seem to have the upper hand in the spiritual battle at the moment. But Jesus has spoken truth, and the victory that will belong to all who believe in Him is already accomplished.
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4)
Thoughtful Analysis
Thank you, Terry James, for your analysis of my home town. You did it brilliantly and you didn’t leave us in the dark. You concluded with good news and a solid biblical analysis explaining some things that seemed unexplainable.
Sadly, I am repeating myself here. My home town is preparing the way for the Antichrist regime, which is waiting in the wings.

Sudden Destruction
For years I’ve had Jesus’ prophecy of Luke 17:28–30 at the center of the message I believe our Lord wants delivered at this late hour of the Church Age:
Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. (Luke 17:28–30)
Well, that message hasn’t changed. It still resonates as the one prophecy I believe is most directly meant for this sin-darkening planet that’s on the cusp of receiving God’s wrath because of humankind’s rebellion against Him.
Jesus said when He next intervenes into the evil affairs of earth’s inhabitants, the “righteous” will be removed. In the “days of Lot” in Jesus’ prophecy, it was Lot and his family who were removed because Lot was considered the only one in Sodom who was righteous. In the case of Christ’s next intervention, He indicated that another righteous entity will be removed to safety. This, of course, will be all who believe in Jesus for salvation–collectively called the Church.
I always preface what I say about that moment of Rapture with Jesus’ statement that, at the time, people of earth will, as in Sodom of Lot’s day, be buying, selling, planting, building, and marrying—in other words, going about business as usual.
Even with all the evil going on now–and it’s probably worse than it was in ancient Sodom and Gomorrah—it is still business as usual, as I view it. Despite the evil–the wars and rumors of war, the deception, the ethnic upheaval all over the planet—there isn’t yet catastrophic disruption of life on earth.
So, in this sense, our time is exactly like Jesus predicted in Luke 17:28–30.
The one thing that has puzzled me to an extent is what Jesus said about the sudden destruction that will, like in Lot’s day, happen immediately upon the removal of the righteous.
As we know, the ancient cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed. And the destruction apparently came immediately following Lot’s removal. The cities were decimated; for millennia, scientists and archaeologists thought the Bible’s account of the destruction to be myth. But in most previous decades, there is evidence that indeed these cities were destroyed, and even sulfur residue of the region at the south end of the Dead Sea proves that something devastatingly powerful blasted the area. Pottery shards and other evidence that humans once inhabited the region are still being extracted from beneath the earth’s surface there.
Jesus, again, said: “But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.”
My dilemma in this prophecy is wondering how the Rapture of the Church will be followed by the destruction of all inhabitants, because we know the world will be filled with unbelievers during the seven-year Tribulation (Daniel’s seventieth week). So, this must mean the destruction that will take place will have to be different than that which instantly and completely obliterated those ancient cities.
I’ve sort of resisted the idea that there will be nuclear war, or at least an all-out nuclear World War III, prior to the Rapture of the Church; otherwise, it could not be business as usual leading up to that call of Christ to all believers, living and dead.
Many observers, even some I hold as good teachers in the pre-Trib view, have been saying we are already in the early stages of World War III. That is, the world is now in the throes of everything it takes to begin a worldwide conflict, as in the times preceding World Wars I and II. Dr. Robert Jeffress of First Baptist of Dallas was one I heard say this just the other day.
He said, if I heard him correctly, he believes the Rapture will occur at the time of some other world-shaking event. He believes, he said, it might be a nuclear exchange that introduces World War III, or some such conflagration. This might cause many of the left-behind to miss the full prophetic implications of the disappearance of millions.
In thinking on this, and based upon the build-up toward conflict involving such nuclear powers as Russia, China, North Korea, and, of course the United States, I believe this might be the case. The Church might be snatched (harpazoed) into the clouds of Glory just as nuclear missiles begin raining down around parts of the globe.
This would certainly be ”sudden destruction,” but would not constitute total devastation as in Sodom and Gomorrah.
The devastation would quickly expand across the world, causing unbelievable chaos–eventuating in total destruction by the end of Armageddon when Christ returns. However, I don’t see in any way how this expanding destructiveness could negate attention paid to the disappearance of millions of earth’s inhabitants.
As you know, I believe all children below the age of accountability, even those just conceived, will be instantly absent from earth when Jesus calls the Church. This alone will cause panic and chaos unlike any situation one can truly imagine. Undoubtedly, the news pundits of the planet will somehow attribute this to being a phenomenon, either of unprecedented, unfathomable nuclear exposure, or to, as we’ve talked about before, some action by so-called extraterrestrial space brothers who have been observing human tendencies toward nuclear war since the advent of the atomic bomb.
Paul, following his words about the Rapture in 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18, prophesied the following that seems to lend credence to such a sudden-destruction scenario.
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. (1 Thessalonians 5:1–3)
Jesus, Himself, told of this coming moment when sudden destruction would forever change things on the earth:
And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. (Luke 21:34–39)

We were there on July 25, 2009, to be interviewed for the History Channel’s series The Nostradamus Effect. I remember vividly sensing a fearful ambience while there, even while being driven from our hotel to the building where the filming would take place.
Our driver, a young woman who was probably about nineteen or twenty, told us she was very nervous about having to pick up the next person to be interviewed.
She was Hispanic by ethnicity, and the man she was supposed drive to the studio next was a person she called “a white supremacist.” I could hear the fear in her voice, even though, being blind, I couldn’t see her while she was speaking.
Being the grandfatherly sort, I tried to assure her that all would be well. Any such person would be on their best behavior.
I remember the date very well, because while I was in the chair to be interviewed, having the TV make-up applied, one of the film crew came in excitedly and said Michael Jackson had just died. Also, we later learned that Farrah Fawcett of Charlies Angels fame also had died that day.
So, it was a memorable trip to that city now so central to what Jan and I agree have been evil doings going on.

Now, it seems any lesson from above that might have been learned has been forgotten by those in charge of things going on in Minneapolis. Ten Reasons to Look Up! :: By Jan Markell
I love short lists that folks can peruse and then dig deeper on their own. Today I came up with ten issues that tell me the hour is later than we thought. So, here’s my latest summary. Don’t be discouraged. Look up!
1) Europe is looking for an Antichrist figure. Prophecy News Watch reports a disturbing willingness among citizens to embrace strong, decisive leadership that could bypass democratic processes if it promises stability and results. One in five Europeans say they would prefer a dictatorship in certain circumstances, and a quarter admit they would not mind if a capable leader limited democratic rights and acted without accountability—provided he was effective.
Europe is imploding. It has unchecked immigration from Muslim nations and many European nations are in serious decline, lacking sound leadership. There is this longing for a man with a plan.
2) Intensifying Lawlessness is everywhere. In Minnesota, not one elected official who participated in the Somali fraud of billions of dollars has been removed from office or arrested. The Mayor of Minneapolis, Jacob Frey, in part responsible for the mayhem, just made Time Magazine’s top 100 influential people. Thanks for rewarding incompetence!
ICE has been demonized repeatedly and particularly in my home town of Minneapolis. They have been arresting illegal aliens convicted of murder, domestic abuse, sexual assault, and more. In Minnesota alone, nearly 500 illegal aliens have been released back into the community because state and local officials refuse to cooperate with federal law enforcement.
3) Canada is poised to criminalize Christianity with a ban on citing biblical truths, reports The Federalist. Let that sink in. Crazed zealots in the leftist elite have turned Canadian Christians into scapegoats. They are considered deplorables.
As The Federalist states, “Once this brand of leftism comes to rule a country, as it has in Canada and Western Europe, civilizational ruin is sure to follow.” Added to this outrage, Canada is offering to euthanize seniors. Canada’s free healthcare offers the director of Dying to Meet You to the elderly who may be struggling. Surely love has grown cold (Matt. 24:12).
4) The ultimate in calling evil good just transpired when the United Nations handed Iran a seat at the Women’s Rights Table. Iran—the regime whose morality police beat a 22-year-old woman named Mahsa Amini to death for a loose headscarf—has just been elevated to a role within a key United Nations body shaping global policy on women’s rights, disarmament, and terrorism prevention. This is last days’ lunacy and strong delusion (II Thess. 2:11) and it abounds everywhere.
5) Prophecy News Watch asks if we are building a prototype of “the image that speaks” from Revelation. They report that Meta’s reported development of an AI version of its founder, Mark Zuckerberg, has reignited an unusual but increasingly persistent conversation at the intersection of technology, identity, and ancient prophecy.
The company is building a photorealistic, interactive digital version of Zuckerberg, capable of engaging employees in real time, trained on his voice, mannerisms, and strategic thinking. What might sound like corporate innovation to some is, to others, a striking echo of imagery found in the Book of Revelation.
6) A Pew survey says 60% of Americans have an unfavorable view of Israel. Antipathy toward Israel was more pronounced among younger people. Broken down by age groups, 70% of those aged 18-49, including 57% of Republicans in that age bracket, have an unfavorable view. The Democrat Party is down to one supporter: Sen. John Fetterman. Since the slaughter of Jews October 7, 2023, the world has cheered for Hamas and found Israel deplorable. This is Tribulation-esque. Zechariah 12:3 says Israel will become the world’s burdensome stone.
7) A prophetic storm is brewing due to the war with Iran, and we’re all pondering Gog-Magog, the war outlined in Ezekiel 38. One of those participants—Turkey—is making noises, threatening to invade Israel now. Can you imagine a member of NATO making such threats. The passage says Russian invaders will be on horseback. Forbes’ says Russian forces are now attacking Ukraine on horseback. Is this a foreshadowing?
8) The American-born Pope is stirring the pot wherever he goes as he paves the way for a global religion. While lambasting America over the Iran war during the Easter weekend, the Pope said nothing about the Islamist bloodbath in Nigeria at precisely that time, when dozens of Christians were gunned down.
He said that people should be “a little less fearful” of Islam, and that “Islam is a religion of peace we can learn from.” Like the King of England who celebrated Ramadan and ignored Easter, the Pope is equally confused when it comes to Islam.
9) Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) has teased about alien life among us that has made contact with humans. UFOs and UAPs are making headlines. They will do so even more once the church is gone in the rapture and UFOs/aliens are blamed as the reason for our disappearance! Burchett warned that releasing secret alien information would devastate public confidence.
He claimed America would come unglued if citizens learned what government agencies have discovered. The House Task Force member said he was briefed two weeks ago on extraterrestrial matters that would have been catastrophic if released. Discussions around UFOs, UAPs, and extraterrestrial life are no longer confined to fringe communities. They have entered the mainstream conversation at the highest levels.
More and more people are acknowledging their origins are demonic. Even the demons know the hour is late.
10) In the spring of 2026, we were again reminded of serious economic instability that will eventually require a “Mr. Fix-It” to remedy. Oil prices have surged. Supply chains have been disrupted. Markets have reacted with volatility. The war with Iran has already been described as causing the largest energy supply disruption since the 1970s crisis. When a single region can destabilize the global economy, it exposes just how fragile the system truly is. A one-world system with a leader who can conquer such problems is being longed for.
These are just ten reasons I believe we are experiencing earth’s final hours before a trumpet and a shout removes believers forever. Don’t tremble at headlines. Know they are a herald of His coming.
Pride, Profanity, Presidents, and Prophecy
Might as well get directly to the matter that is sticking in my craw, as we sometimes say down south.
It isn’t something I particularly want to address, because it involves an objection I have to someone I greatly admire in that he has brought changes from the previous presidential administration’s governance that are most welcome. These changes have been in ways so much more in line with what the founders, I believe, intended for this nation. It is therefore going against my grain somewhat to have to admonish President Trump.
The reason for the admonishment is especially appropriate, however, because the grievance involves the time of the most holy of observances of the Christian tradition.
The president, in announcing US threats to deal with the terrorist Iranian regime’s evil, conveyed the threat in a vulgar expletive.
Trump kicked off Easter Sunday with a foul-mouthed tirade against Iran and praising Allah—warning the regime to “open the (expletive deleted) ” Strait of Hormuz or else he will ensure the Islamic Republic’s leaders end up in hell.…
“Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “There will be nothing like it!!! Open the (expletive deleted) Strait, you crazy (expletive deleted), or you’ll be living in Hell.”…
“JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah,” he added in a signed post.

This language, of course, cut straight to the spiritual heart of apropos Christian expression. And it was a mixed message, like few, if any, from a president of the United States I’ve heard in my eight decades of life.
Within only a matter of hours, the above threat was either followed by or preceded by (I can’t remember which was issued first) a message the president issued that perhaps was the most Christ-centered Easter message I’ve ever heard a president speak:
This Easter Sunday, the First Lady and I join with Christians all across our Nation and around the world in rejoicing in the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, whose triumph over sin and victory over death secured the promise of redemption and the hope of eternal life for all who believe in Him as Lord and Savior.
Sunday, we proclaim with joy that Christ has risen, a new creation has been ushered in, and evil and death have been conquered forever through the unmatched power of God’s sacrificial love. (Presidential Message on Easter – The White House, April 5, 2026)
What a true and powerful message from the president of the United States! Mr. Trump is as bold in proclaiming the message of Christ as he is in using salacious wording in making threats the vulgar nature of which I might have heard back in the ninth grade.
Wrapped in this president’s verbiage when confronting friends and foes alike is often the element of being human that is most worrisome to me. That is, His communications are often laced with what could be and most often is construed as pride, even arrogance.
Many among the punditry sources from the conservative political side dismiss this as Mr. Trump’s being from New York City, perhaps America’s most profane city in terms of language usage.
Trump’s prideful, tongue-in-cheek expressions are, of course, legendary. And I admit I often find some of them quite amusing. I cannot, however, dismiss with this personality excuse Trump’s use of ungodly language. This, whether the language comes from the president of the United States, some other celebrity, or from myself or my family or friends in a moment of anger or just in general conversation is ungodly and must be condemned.
Here is what God’s Word says about the Lord’s opinion of pride and a foul mouth.
The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. (Proverbs 8:13)
Here is what God further tells us through the Apostle James about the language we use.
Behold, we put bits in the horses’ mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body. Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth. Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh. (James 3: 3-12)
President Donald J. Trump often uses prideful and coarse language in speaking about America’s great military power. I’ve heard some talk show hosts who are conservative and supporters of the Trump administration excuse this prideful extolling of the US greatness as just Trump being Trump. That is, they say Mr. Trump is just using such language in speaking to the tyrants of the world–such as the terrorist regimes of the Middle East. It is the only language a bully understands, they say. And, they say, America’s power is to be used to control the bullies of the geopolitical world.
Let me say at this point that I totally support our president in most everything he has done to try to do away with the so-called “woke” evil that previous administrations imposed on our nation. I agree with him in dealing as he continues to deal with the likes of the Iranian regime–an evil, fanatic horde that would use nuclear weapons on both America and Israel if they ever possess such horrific weaponry.
But, I can’t believe for a moment that the God of Heaven, who has so blessed America, and who I believe has saved Mr. Trump’s life to see to it that he is presently in the most powerful office on the planet, would ever be tolerant of the pride-filled, profanity-laced language this president, or any of the rest of us might use.
Another president comes to mind, from a history class in college somewhere in my past. George Washington, when general of the Revolutionary Army, was recorded as being upset at the cursing going on in the ranks of his army during the Revolutionary War for Independence.
Washington was said to ask in issuing an order to stop such vulgar talk: how could his forces ever expect the blessings of God by granting victory, considering the use of foul language being used in the ranks that included taking the Almighty’s name in vain.
God changes not. I wish that neither would our presidents’ view of morality expressed by that great leader who issued his order to desist use of such language.
There is coming another leader who will have comportment the opposite of that of Washington. Here is God’s Word on that soon-to-come dictator of much of the world.
And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. (Daniel 11: 36)
And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. (Revelation 13: 5-6)
You and I want to be among those in Heaven whom Antichrist will curse as given in this prophecy. We want to be part of the Rapture of the Church who will be with Jesus at the time this greatest of all tyrants has the reins of power on this judgment-bound world.
Here yet again is how to accept Christ and be part of that stupendous event that will take all believers into the clouds of Glory.
That if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and will believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9–10)
Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
Israel: The Bookends of Prophecy
Dr. Robert Jeffress, pastor of First Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas, was saying Bible prophecy starts with Israel and ends with Israel. Israel is at the heart of Bible prophecy.
My thoughts started churning as I heard his sermon broadcast early that recent morning. I’ve always maintained that God’s “chosen nation” is the one sure signal of where this generation stands on His prophetic timeline. Dr. Jeffress’ statement helped confirm in my thoughts that morning that indeed Israel is inseparable, start to finish, from God’s Holy Word. It’s like bookends framing Bible prophecy from beginning to end.
Israel’s conception–its true genesis—began with the Words of Jesus, who is the Word of God.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. (John 1:1–5)
Jesus, then, gave through Moses what would be the beginning of the nation Israel. He was speaking of His own conception—His Incarnation, coming to earth from His triune position within the Godhead to provide redemption for fallen humankind.
Jesus said to Satan the following about His one day coming as the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world:
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. (Genesis 3: 15)
So, Bible prophecy began with the promise of the Redeemer, Jesus Christ, who would come into the world as a human being.
Again, Moses was given the Word about God’s people who would be chosen to give birth to this God-man.
Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. (Genesis 12:1–3)
We know Abraham and Sarah were then given the child of promise, Isaac. From Isaac came Jacob, who was renamed Israel.
Jesus, the Son of God, was born to Mary, Jacob’s progeny, through the immaculate conception, to become the Savior of humanity, which has been lost since the fall in Eden.
Israel’s history is that of suffering as victim of satanic hatred throughout the millennia. This is because Jesus redeems all who accept God’s grace gift of salvation through Christ’s death on the cross, burial, and Resurrection.
As told in Genesis 3:15, the serpent, Satan, who “bruised the heel” of Christ, would have his head crushed by the Savior, by His redemptive action on that cruel cross at Calvary and His subsequent resurrection to life.
Jesus has overcome sin and death to provide eternal life for every person–all born sinful creatures because of Adam’s sin in Eden.
Christ the Redeemer came into this doomed sphere through Israel. The ongoing war against that nation and the Jewish race continues to play out within Bible prophecy, which tells of a time that will see the world turn against Israel:
Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about . And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though . gathered together against it. (Zechariah 12:2–3)
So, Bible prophecy continues to be Israel-centered as we witness the prophet Zechariah’s words playing out even at this moment.
In the near term, it doesn’t get better, but worse…much worse!
Jesus prophesied the degree to which hatred for Israel would progress:
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
The prophet Jeremiah said about this time:
Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it. (Jeremiah 30:7)
The Lord, in His Matthew 24:21 description, skips the details of the time from which things become the worst ever right to the end, when the nation Israel will be saved out of the time of great Tribulation.
But Jesus, Himself, later describes, in explicit detail through twenty-one specific judgments, the time that leads up to Israel being saved out of the great Tribulation. Jesus gave the entire book of the Revelation through the Apostle John–the disciple the Bible said the Lord loved.
Paul prophesies the ultimate position of God’s chosen nation:
For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. (Romans 11: 25-27)
Israel will be saved out of this terrible time. Zechariah says:
And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
So, Israel is at the center of Bible prophecy from Genesis to Revelation. And this is not to say there is a so-called dual covenant with God’s chosen people about salvation from sin. The Jewish people are saved from sin the same way all other people of all other races are saved: by belief in Jesus Christ alone.
The “saving” of Israel means a remnant of the Jewish people will comprise the nation of God’s covenant promises. That is, those who accept Jesus Christ as their Savior—Israel’s Messiah—inherit God’s promises for Israel. This remnant of Jewish believers will see Jesus returning from Heaven at the time of Armageddon and will realize He is their Messiah at that stunning moment. This will be the chosen nation and people God planned to establish from the time in Eden.
Israel is the indisputable signal of exactly where the world stands right now. The movement to fulfill all Bible prophecy is streaming more swiftly with each news cycle. All geopolitics are revolving around the nation that began in Genesis 3:15. The time of Jacob’s trouble quickly approaches.
You don’t want to be a part of people within the orbit of those who don’t know Jesus for salvation. Here again is how to go to Christ when He calls–an event that will take place at any twinkling-of-the-eye moment!

The Jesus Haters 2026
Having just celebrated Easter, the thought that hatred for Jesus Christ is what put Him on the cross at Calvary is foremost in my mind.
Of course, it was the sin of humanity that brought Jesus to that grotesque implement of torture as the lamb slain from the foundation of the world. God sent His Only Son into this fallen world to die for sinful humankind so that redemption is now possible for all who are lost (separated from God the Father).
But the steps of achieving Christ’s purpose in this regard at the time of the crucifixion was steeped in satanic hatred for Jesus. The Judaizers of that moment sought to get rid of this man who was claimed to be the very Messiah for whom Israel had been longing. He was, they feared, usurping their great power over the people of Israel. They hated Him and colluded even with the hated Roman government to put Jesus to death.
Thankfully, the hatred was and continues to be totally under the control of Heaven. Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection accomplished the salvation of all who will accept God’s grace-gift sacrifice for redemption from sin and separation from God.
Hatred for Jesus Christ in the year 2026 is still on the scene. That hatred is on the rise, as a matter of fact. The condition of anti-God, anti-Christian activity is in every direction while this fallen planet staggers toward God’s judgment and wrath.
This hatred shouldn’t surprise or confuse those who are directed by God the Holy Spirit to be alert to the nearness of Christ’s return to make all things right, as they were before the Fall in Eden.
Jesus, Himself, told His immediate disciples and apostles precisely how things would be during the Age of Grace that would follow His finishing of the redemption process on that old, rugged cross.
Here is what He told them–and us, believers who would be born again through the years:
These things I command you, that ye love one another. If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me. (John 15:17–21)
The nations of the world are increasingly declaring their hatred for Jesus Christ—not necessarily in that stark term of expression, but in ways that can’t be missed. One news item that displays the hatred is shown in the following:
The Canadian Liberal government has just rammed through a bill that effectively declares war on the Bible and anyone bold enough to quote it in public.
Canada’s House of Commons passed Bill C-9, the so-called “Combating Hate Act,” in a 186-137 vote Wednesday night.
Liberals and the Bloc voted in lockstep to strip away long-standing protections for religious speech under the Criminal Code. Conservatives, the NDP, and the Greens opposed it. The bill now heads to the Senate.
The bill expands Canada’s hate speech laws and introduces new criminal penalties for what the government defines as the “willful promotion of hatred” against protected groups.…
Some warn that teachings rooted in religious texts, including the Bible, could face increased legal scrutiny if interpreted as promoting “hatred” under the law’s expanded definitions.…
In comments sent to LifeSiteNews, Campaign Life Coalition (CLC) blasted the passage of Bill C-9 and called upon “Christians and pro-life advocates to prepare for increasing hostility.”
“With the passage of Bill C-9 in the House, Christians and pro-life advocates will almost certainly face an entirely new level of hostility, as the door swings open to actual persecution under a cloak of supposed legality,” said CLC’s Campaigns Manager David Cooke, who is also a Christian pastor.
Cooke said the Bill C-9 was framed as a law going after “hate,” but, in reality, it is a bill that religious leaders from various faith communities “say could lead to hate-related charges against believers – empowers ideologically-driven police officers and judges to target, for the first time, the very word of God on matters of life, family, and faith.” (Canadian Liberals Pass ‘Anti-Christian’ Bill That Would CRIMINALIZE Quoting Parts of the Bible in Public | The Gateway Pundit, March 31, 2026)
Not to be outdone by the Jesus haters in Canada, here in America, a nation founded within Judeo-Christian precepts, the following proves such hatred is present and on the rise:
The Chicago Bulls have waived guard Jaden Ivey following videos he posted where his rant about religion and other topics led to him calling out the NBA for celebrating Pride Month.
The Bulls announced the move on Monday, saying it was due to conduct detrimental to the team.
Ivey’s video calling out the league was posted on Monday morning, as he said it was “unrighteousness” that the NBA would celebrate Pride Month.
Ivey has been posting similar videos with rants in recent weeks, while the 24-year-old has noted in the past he deals with depression.
“The world can proclaim LGBTQ, right?” Ivey said in his latest video. “They proclaim Pride Month and the NBA. They proclaim it. They show it to the world. They say, ‘Come join us for Pride Month to celebrate unrighteousness.’ They proclaim it. They proclaim it on the billboards. They proclaim in the streets. Unrighteousness. So, how is it that one can’t speak righteousness? Listening to a report on Fox News announcing the removal of Jaden Ivey from the Chicago Bulls, I heard the player give his testimony of how Jesus Christ had completely changed his life and had made him see the wickedness that is against God’s Word. The LGBTQ, etc., matter was just one of the evils he pointed out on that program.
For his stance in lifting the name of Jesus Christ, he has been called “crazy,” a “religious nut,” and other invectives.
Fox, as seen in the excerpts above, called Jaden Ivey’s Christian values as expressed “rants,” thus showing the news source’s bias—edging toward hatred, in my view—of all things held as righteous in God’s holy eyes.
This hatred for Jesus is swiftly moving the world of lost people down that broad way to forever separation from God, who loves them and has moved Heaven and Hell—has sent His Only Son—to bring them into His eternal family.
The hatred for Jesus that’s growing worldwide shows precisely, I think, where this generation of humankind is on God’s prophetic timeline.
The call to His family to meet Jesus in the clouds of Glory is on the very cusp of taking place. You will want to be part of that rescue from out of this judgment-bound planet. Here is how to accept Jesus at this very moment.

America the Dutiful
When thinking about the prophetic implications of the present hour so late in this Church Age (Age of Grace), Israel is the prominent marker of where the world stands on God’s prophetic timeline.
God’s chosen people, the nation Israel, have contributed massively to achievements in many areas of human existence—just as the Lord promised Abraham, Israel’s progenitor. So, it shouldn’t surprise us that Israel is at the center of much turmoil and controversy at this time. This is precisely how Bible prophecy—through prophets such as Zechariah, for example—says Israel will be positioned the closer the world comes to Christ’s return.
Despite God’s promises to Abraham—many of which have been fulfilled—the people of Abraham through Isaac and Jacob have failed in many ways to fulfill God’s expectations. Primarily, they have failed because of rejecting their Messiah when He presented Himself to them.
Israel, therefore, is perhaps best example of the violation of Christ’s admonition: “For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required” (Luke 12:48 b).
God expects those whom He blesses to obey His directive and to trust His Word as given in Scripture through the prophets. There are inevitably severe consequences when His blueprint for conducting life on earth is not followed.
We know all about Israel and its place in God’s directive—His call to duty in the mission He gave Abraham’s progeny. That nation and people are everywhere we look in God’s Word and are prominent everywhere we look on the geopolitical horizon. And who could in truth deny that Israel has had nothing but trouble from this satanically saturated world?
To me, God’s appointment to our nation, the United States of America, is almost as profound in God’s blueprint as it is in that of Israel. The proof is in the dominance America has been given since its founding. And, at this moment, it is the most glaringly dominant and powerfully influential nation on the planet. The double proof of this is that America stands beside God’s chosen nation and people while most of the world’s nations demonstrate an inexplicable hatred for Israel and the Jewish people. This, to me, is absolute proof of the importance God assigned America.

The United States of America has been the nation at the very heart of the explosion of human technological progress. America has no peer in this regard, even to this present hour. Just as God’s hand of providence guided the founding fathers in bringing the country to birth in 1776, so His omnipresence inspired the American genius and industry resident in the nation to achieve things essential to the opening of the book of end-times prophecy.…
Again, the United States of America is inarguably the matrix out of which the geometrical progression of knowledge, thus spectacular increase in ability to travel to and from anywhere on earth, has grown.…
America’s influence within its brief duration of nationhood has brought mankind relief from drudgery, physical comforts, and luxuries that no other era has provided. Although vast areas of the world still wallow in squalor, the technologies–produced for the most part by this nation–are available to bring those victims out of their tragic conditions. It is the greed of tyrants–for the most part, the dictators who keep the very poor of the world under their despotic thumbs of oppression.
The United States has been at the forefront of reaching out to other lands and their peoples–almost to a fault, one might correctly surmise. Much of the largesse that has poured from the American treasuries into these dictatorships has been scarfed up by the despots and put into their own bank accounts around the world.

The explosion of knowledge brought the technology that can make man’s life on earth a blessed existence. That same bursting forth of travel and knowledge has produced the ability to deliver destructive power from the air, the like of which no other generation could even fathom. Make no mistake: America is at the very heart of the end-of-days book being opened. And open it is! (The American Apocalypse, Harvest House, 2009)
So, I titled this commentary “America the Dutiful.”
We’ve been commissioned by God to a call to duty. America has been the most materially blessed of all nations of history, second only to Israel in spiritual blessings. While this nation has used its material blessings to help the poorest of the world and has reached out as no other nation with the gospel of Christ, we’ve also infected the world with much of the wickedness our technological wizardry has produced. It might be said that the peoples of earth have become intoxicated on the wine of the fornication and depravity flowing from America’s dark subsurface.
It’s always disconcerting to consider that we can’t find mention of such a blessed nation as ours even once by name in God’s Word.
Perhaps, frighteningly, it might be there in Revelation chapter 18, but this always comes down to supposition.
It is incumbent upon Christians in our beloved America to remain “dutiful” in carrying out the commission it seems our founding fathers were blessed to receive those 250 years ago.
“For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required” (Luke 12:48 b).

Gog, the prophesied leader of the Israel-hating coalition north of Jerusalem, has hooks in his jaws—put there by none other than the Lord God of all creation. Our scenario has that hook lubricated generously with the black liquid gold of the Middle East.
The dictator who rules Russia has watched, with Lucifer-inspired obsession, the whole international rearrangements following the disappearance of millions. He receives an “evil thought,” and thinks to take “great spoil”—the vast oil supplies of the regions surrounding Israel.
It is the Tribulation era, Daniel’s seventieth week: the last seven years of human history that will culminate in Christ’s Second Advent. Humans have always claimed, in their humanistic pride, that they can make this world into paradise. This has been true since before the time of Nimrod and Babel (Genesis chapter 11).
The leader of the newly formed super-agglomeration of Western powers has brokered the peace the “prince” promises will make things heaven on earth for the world. Israel has bitten into the apple from the great leader’s garden of promises. God Almighty takes His hand off the earth to the extent that He will now allow humankind to see if they can achieve their utopia. The Holy Spirit has withdrawn from acting as restrainer upon the consciences of human beings.
Gog knows the leadership of the Western nations is consolidating its power. Once that’s done, the forces of the reviving Roman Empire will be formidable–perhaps even impossible to defeat. They have the most awesome thermonuclear arsenal ever stockpiled. But Russia, China, and even some of Gog’s other allies have such weapons, too. Enough to destroy the world, as a matter of fact. The Western behemoth that’s gathering strength is quite unlikely–in Gog’s self-inflated estimation—to use military power to try to stop his invasion at this point. Their weak note of diplomatic protest proves it in the Russian’s mind.
Gog is inspired by one other profound realization. The West’s true power has always been in its great technological capabilities–its fantastic, wealth-producing machinery that’s far more advanced than anything the humanity-oppressive regimes of the East have been able to match. The only true thing achieved by the Eastern world has been, for the most part, mere replication of things produced by the freedom-loving people of the West.
The Russian, in consort with his cohorts of the coalition he has gathered, knows that to take away the Western powers’ ability to run their machinery–thus their technological production—is to cripple them. He will claim all the oil of the Middle East. The West–having long fallen prey to those who preached the ecological mumbo-jumbo, the political correctness that said they were raping “Mother Earth” by drilling and refining petroleum—will be without resources to fuel their drive to dominate the world.
The leader who brokered the peace remains peaceful. He has sent his diplomatic protest. But he believes in Bible prophecy. His knowledge comes from the father of lies, who convinces him that all of prophecy is true, except the part that says he–the prince that shall come—will ultimately lose to the returning King of all kings (Revelation 19:20).
The Western leader watches the Gog-Magog forces gather. He is troubled but bides his time.
While the beast of Revelation 13 watches, the beast of the East–Gog—doesn’t keep his nemesis waiting long. The assault is quick, all-out, and—seen from satellite reconnaissance—looks like a massive storm moving southward toward Jerusalem. Israel sits vulnerable, without defense. The leader squints from Brussels at the many monitors while waiting to see if the things his special minion-mentors are telling him will play out on schedule.
He is not disappointed. Here is how Ezekiel, under God’s direction, reported this battle thousands of years ago:
Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel: And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand. Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD (Ezekiel 39:1–5).
Many, particularly the Jews within Israel, will believe God has won the victory. And, indeed, there is no evidence to the contrary. God did it all.
Even the great peacemaker from his proud perch has to say to himself that the Deity has done this marvelous thing. But so far as he is concerned, it only means advantage to his ambition. All resistance has been crushed for him, paving his way to fill the power vacuum. All of the oil riches are his.
Now he will truly be able to build his one-world kingdom. To him belongs the great spoil Gog foolishly thought would be his.
He rides into the region as a conqueror. He has–in his increasingly demon-possessed mind—correctly understood the “dark sentences” given him by his minion-mentors from the father of lies. Jerusalem, the very capital of Jehovah on earth—is his for the taking. He, himself, will be the god of this planet:
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4)
Antichrist has revealed himself. He demands worship. The greatest holocaust of history will begin. It is the time of Jacob’s Trouble:
Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it. (Jeremiah 30:7)
Jesus said of this time:
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. (Matthew 24:21)
So, we come to the last of this series. But, of course, the story is far from over. The beautiful part of this scenario–and it is God’s scenario that really matters—is found in these last few words of the great old prophet Jeremiah: “but he shall be saved out of it.” All of Israel–the believing remnant—will be saved out of this horrible holocaust. (Read Revelation, chapter 12.)
