Podcasters, some of whom I respect, but others whom I find alarmists beyond their acumen about geopolitical intrigues, are more and more these days forecasting fears of attacks on America. Many of the assaults they talk about involve cyberspace invasions and the like. But increasingly, the talk is of direct military action—invasion of our nation from the north and the south.
Russia, they say, will invade from the north, I suppose in concert with the cooperation of the Canadian government. China, they fear, already has troops in large numbers ready to cross the U.S. southern border. Mexico, I suppose, along with countries farther south, is in collusion in some way with this planned invasion.
The enemies most mentioned are Russia and China. We might expect direct military action by as early as the fall, according to the direst warnings the podcasters are predicting.
Daily the bloggers talk of the burgeoning military capacity of both of these enemies that voraciously look at the grand prize—the United States of America. Their submarine forces—according to the bloggers—are simply without peer and surround our nation, poised to launch missiles that are hypersonic—whatever that means in terms of diverging in effectiveness from missiles that are already capable of speeds that can’t be defended against.
It’s as if American military forces have shrunk to the extent that they make these diabolist aggressors impervious to any fear of being themselves destroyed—like they feared during the Cold War era of MAD (mutually assured destruction).
From my reading of prophecy yet future I can say with assurance that war on the scale that would result from such an attack won’t eventuate as these folks forecast. Both of these aggressor-nations are prophetically scheduled to instigate such war, but not at this time—unless the Rapture is immediately upon us in that twinkling-of-an-eye moment we all, as believers, long to take place.
Both aggressor nations are destined to be totally decimated when they do instigate such warfare. That said, there are preparations for war on an unfathomable scale being planned by Satan and his minions, both demonic and human, that will make all other wars of history seem mere skirmishes. Again, we have God’s Holy Word on this eventuation.
Nuclear—and even more horrific instrumentalities of war-making—are in development. And the preparations for unleashing such instrumentalities are in the scientific/technological incubators of a growing number of nations as they make plans for war that God’s prophetic Word foretells is on the way.
An article of interest frames those developments:
A Pentagon report secretly published in 2020 and first disclosed this week, raises the potential for some form of armed conflict between nuclear-armed powers.
The Pentagon’s “Joint Nuclear Options” report, dated April 17, 2020, was released through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request submitted by the Federation of American Scientists.
The report states, “Despite concerted US efforts to reduce the role of nuclear weapons in international affairs and to negotiate reductions in the number of nuclear weapons, since 2010 no potential adversary has reduced either the role of nuclear weapons in its national security strategy or the number of nuclear weapons it fields.”
“Rather, they have moved decidedly in the opposite direction,” the report continues. “As a result, there is an increased potential for regional conflicts involving nuclear-armed adversaries in several parts of the world and the potential for adversary nuclear escalation in crisis or conflict.”…
The report notes Russia is modernizing Soviet-era nuclear systems and developing and employing new nuclear warheads and launchers, three new intercontinental-range nuclear weapon systems; a hypersonic glide vehicle; a nuclear-armed, nuclear-powered ground-launched cruise missile; and a nuclear-armed, nuclear-powered, undersea autonomous torpedo.…
On China, the report states, “China continues to increase the number, capabilities, and protection of its nuclear forces. China has developed a new road-mobile, strategic, intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM); a new multi-warhead version of its DF-5 silo-based ICBM; and its most advanced ballistic missile submarine armed with new submarine-launched ballisticmissiles (SLBMs). It has also announced development of a new nuclear-capable strategic bomber, giving China a nuclear triad.”
The Pentagon report states, “North Korea‘s continued pursuit of nuclear
weapons capabilities poses the most immediate and dire proliferation threat to international security and stability.”…“Iran’s development of increasingly long-range ballistic missile capabilities, and its aggressive strategy and activities to destabilize neighboring governments, raises questions about its long-term commitment to forgoing nuclear weapons capability,” the Pentagon report adds. (Ryan Morgan, “Pentagon Sees Increased Chances of Nuclear Conflict, Newly Disclosed Report Says,” American Military News, July 8, 2021)
As has been stated, no weapon has ever been invented that hasn’t been used to kill in wars. It is obvious that the buildup of weapons of war—ultimate weapons in terms of destructive capacity—is taking place at a pace worthy of the alarmism the podcasters are forewarning. It’s just that their perspective isn’t biblical with their forecasts. Some are partially from the right perspective, that of Bible prophecy. But the forecasters fail to take into account that the Restrainer of evil is still present in this soon-to-be-judged world of corruption and rebellion. God the Holy Spirit is still resident with in each believer–the collective of which is the Church–the Body of Jesus Christ.
The most horrific war-making of human history is yet future, and It can’t take place until the Church is removed in the Rapture, and God again begins dealing with the nation Israel and all of humanity in judgment and wrath–a time out of which Israel will emerge, in remnant form, to become the head nation of the world, from which King Jesus will rule and reign.
Russia, if it attacked America from the north, would be completely destroyed. China, if attacking from the south, would be completely destroyed. Our Pentagon generals and admirals are not that far diminished in their fealty to duty, honor, and country that they wouldn’t respond with massive retaliation.
Russia must be around, prophetically speaking, according to the prophet Ezekiel, to lead the invasion against Israel. This is where God, Himself, will completely destroy that Gog-Magog juggernaut, except for one-sixth of their forces. China must be around to cross the dried-up Euphrates, as prophesied in Revelation chapters 9 and 16. They will, after destroying one-third of the earth’s population with their nuclear weapons and massive hordes of demonically driven military troops, be utterly smashed to bits along with all other war-making peoples on the killing field called Armageddon. The Lord Himself will bring about the destruction of both of these satanic, tyrant-led nations.
All of these considerations point to one prophetic truth. War on an unfathomable scale is about to take place. This assurance from God’s own Word is encapsulated in the following prophetic utterance given John the Revelator:
And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. (Revelation 6:3)
Excellent! Thank you Terry. Always appreciate your Biblical response to these things. Gives clarity and reassurance, not to worry, but encourage one another. The Day of the Lord is at hand. Jesus will come for His bride! We are still here, so must not be time yet- but any day!
Thank you brother Terry. I do so respect your discernment of Bible Prophecy. I agree with your assessment. I am just spreading the gospel and waiting for the Rapture. It will occur only at His perfect timing. It is so easy to question why God hasn’t interceded directly yet. As He told Job, where were you during creation?. How dare you question my judgments. Things are going exactly as He wants them to. Nothing has caught him by surprise. Maranatha Lord Jesus.
I agree with Terry.
An attack on America on a large scale would certainly trigger an al-out nuclear exchange from which few would be exempt. There’d never be a 200-million man army left to go to the site of Armageddon, never mind the machinery to get them there.
I also doubt any of the technological infrastructure which I think is necessary for the 666 Economic System to be established would be available. Were the Antichrist still show up, he’d be the ruler of a ruined world. This is not what the Bible teaches.
Now, will some kind of nuclear exchange occur in the future? Pre-Rapture, possible, but very limited. Post Rapture, I think it’s a certainty (see Revelation 8:10-12) but still not extensive enough to destroy most of the planet for the reasons I already mentioned.
My sense about America is that if it is to fall before the Rapture, the prime reason will be from internal decay – which is unfortunately already well underway.
I also believe that limited exchange/use of nuclear weapons is possible, even before the Rapture.
You know, Ruth, it just occurred to me that a small-scale nuclear attack, or even an attempted one, on Israel might be all that’s needed for a frightened world to quickly draft a comprehensive Middle East Peace Treaty – just in time for the Antichrist to show up to confirm it!
I read Revelation and loved the story line. Am reading Michael now and also enjoying it. Thank you for the sharing of the talent God has placed within you. Continue the work God placed on you when saving you for His plans to be achieved for the believers and those that love to seek the stories God places in you to write. Prayers your way spoken to the Father of all things. D. Smith, CA.
Amen and Thank you.
Terry, one of the first prophecies, not found in the Bible, that I read was A. A. Allen’s prophesy in 1954. His was discounted because it did not occur immediately. I can see/hear some reverberations of it in the current PlanDemic we are experiencing. https://www.ambassadorwarrior4christ.com/single-post/2018/05/05/AA-Allens-Vision-Of-The-Fall-Destruction-Of-America
I have heard of other such prophecies (and this of A.A. Allen’s as well) and believe it is quite possible. A prophecy should not be dimissed because it isn’t immediately fulfilled. I have had two prophesies concerning national events (dreams) that took six years to fulfill and one that took five years. It could take 6 years or 60 for some dreams or words of knowledge to come to pass. Others happen the next day.
In the spirit of debate Ms. Ruth and Ms. Dawn, I would just say that these “visions” have still not been fulfilled. I am personally skeptical of “visions” during the Age of Grace. There are hundreds of visions in the recent past (all different I might add). Why should we listen to any of them? I do not pay any attention to them nor do I pay any attention to self-proclaimed modern-day Prophets. Some of them say they had a vision that such and such event would occur and if they predict something correctly, they said it was from the Lord. If their vision prediction is wrong, they say it means it did not come from the Lord and keep on calling themselves prophets. What???? That is questionable behavior in my humble opinion. Even unbelievers can have a gift in the political or financial arena of having a 6th sense and can be accurate most of the time. I do not believe that true Prophets (their prophecies are never wrong) of God occur again until the Tribulation period from my understanding of scripture. I say these things with all due respect. I could be WRONG and if so I hope the Lord convicts me of it. I remain open minded. My theology is always being fine-tuned (led by the Holy Spirit I hope). I sincerely hope I have not offended anyone. This is where I am right now. The most important thing is that we are all believers in Jesus Christ. We all long for the Rapture. Maranatha Lord Jesus. Be blessed and have a wonderful day.
Glenn, I know there are many who do not accept the spiritual gifts of I Cor 12, and I don’t condemn anyone who doesn’t. I have no idea if A.A. Allen’s vision was correct. But I do know that my prophetic dreams and words of knowledge (I don’t have visions) have all come true and that can be attested to by others. Probably 60% were for personal decision making in my own life, but the other 40% were about national (a couple international) events. None of them have failed to come to pass. My first prophetic dream was when I was young and occurred on the night of Ronald Reagan’s election to his first term (Nov 4, 1980). I dreamt of the assassination attempt on this life for the purpose of praying that he would survive. But since it was my first prophetic dream I didn’t give it the importance it should have been given. I knew somehow that it was different from ordinary dreams, but until it came true, didn’t know it was prophetic. I haven’t had any dreams of note for several years now–a very few dreams for personal direction is all. I think that is true for a bunch of prophetic people.
I pray the Lord will impress upon you that spiritual gifts are real and for today. Don’t get me wrong–there are an abundance of false prophets out there. But there are (and were) some who were true prophets. Yes, I agree with you about what the most important thing is. And I long for the Lord to return, as you do, and have since I was in my 20s.
TY for taking the time to respond to me sister Ruth. It was informed and gentle. I appreciate that. I hope I come across the same way. I will not get into a debate by trading verses to make a point. I dream every night. When I was working, I had dreams about how projects were going to turn out I was working on. Some were negative dreams. Some were positive dreams. Some came true. Most did not. That is how I would view your dream about Reagan for example. What would you change in your response to your dream? Do you wish you had warned the FBI, the Secret Service or Reagan himself? How many false alarms would you guess the FBI gets? As with religion, It is the same for me with politics, world events, work, and financial matters. I have dreams about those matters too because I dwell on them so much during these very troubling times. Does God intercede in my dreams and speak to me indirectly? If so, which one?
I am glad you acknowledged other Christian theological experts who feel as I do. Ms. Ruth, there are so many people saying God told them this and God told them that. Who are we to believe? Right now, I do not listen to any of them. I could be wrong and could be missing out on spiritual goings-on. I am a very open person when talking theology. You could very well be right theologically!! Have a blessed day Ms. Ruth. I enjoy what I consider our fellowship about God’s Word today my sister in Christ.
Thanks, Glenn. I appreciate your kiindness. I wouldn’t do anything different about the Reagan dream because it was given for the purpose of praying that he would live. I would not contact the FBI. I guess I would have prayed more, but apparently it was enough.
As another example, I asked my manager not to go on a long driving trip to Colorado as I dreamt she would be in an accident. She went and was in an accident which injured someone and resulted in a lawsuit against her. After that she told others at work, “If Ruth has a dream about you, pay attention.” I don’t tell anyone who to listen to…I just know who I listen to. As for A.A. Allen, I don’t know…and what could we do about it anyway? Pray for protection, I guess.
I know of a young prophetic person/pastor In Indiana, but most of his words of knowledge are for individuals–and they know that his prophecies come true. His accuracy is astounding.
I had a dream about going to Moody Bible Institute in Jewish Studies (special program) and the Lord gave me a confirmation…but not enough to take a leave from my job to go to Chicago from CA. I asked the Lord then, “If this dream is from you, I am going to a conference in two weeks and I pray you would have someone speaking on the platform give me a word of knowledge. Have them mention D. L Moody or Moody Bible Institute.” On the second night of the conference, after the message, the speaker (whom I didn’t know) said, “The Lord is prompting me to mention D. L. Moody or Moody Bible Institute. That will be a confirmation for someone here tonight.” I was at the conference alone and had not told anyone about my prayer. I applied to Moody, was accepted (as a very mature adult much older than the kids there), and took a leave from my job to go to that special program. My professor of Jewish Studies said he did not know how I got accepted for that program as an organization (missionary) has to sponsor you. He asked who sponsored me. I told him the Lord did. He agreed. (I didn’t tell him about the dream as his students told me he didn’t accept such things. But they did.)
Lord bless you, Glenn.
That is quite the testimony, Ms. Ruth. God is sovereign over all things I believe. I bet we both agree on that. He looks out for his sheep at all times. You have many confirmations of that sister. I bet we hang on to the same verses from God’s Word. One of my favorites that keeps me from getting too discouraged is: (BTW, Terry James has helped me so much during these dark days; I wanted to say that. I get so discouraged sometimes. He is so sound theologically in my view. He is my favorite on Bible Prophecy with his discernment). Rom_8:28 “And we know that ALL things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose”. No doubt, he has an infinite number of ways effectuating that. We can debate how. Be blessed today sister Ruth.
Yes, the Lord is sovereign, as you say Glenn. And I agree about Terry. as well. I also love Dr. Andy Woods of Sugar Land Bible Church. May the Lord lift you up and all of us who are discouraged in this sad and abnormal time (when they are prepping us for more lockdowns).
