Why is it Foolish to those who hear?::By Zachary Everett

A nudge from the Lord Jesus Christ to share something in these final days of this age. The world is racing to the abyss, even as I write this the war in the Middle East has now expanded further into the Red Sea. We can only imagine how long it will be before Israel and Hezbollah unleash their weapons upon each other and bring chaos to the Middle East. At every turn it seems wars… economic collapse… natural disaster… and social meltdown are nearing the tipping point.

One can wonder why… why when one hears the words of salvation from the Bible and what Jesus Christ did on the cross for our sins… they… the lost reject it. Even as the world burns around them the cross is considered foolish to them. “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” (1 Corinthians 1:18)

Can any one of us imagine why even as everything falls apart around those who hold on to this world they still will not turn to the salvation that Jesus Christ offers freely. Maybe its pride, the love of sin, ignorance, philosophical standing, or it’s just something they can’t wrap their mind around… that God Almighty in his infinite wisdom saw the cross as the only way to bring salvation to every mortal soul on this earth. That no other way would suffice…

If you are on the fence on what the cross means to you and why God Almighty chose this path for your salvation… let me share this with you from an artist who recently became a born-again believer in Jesus Christ and who came to understand the debt of sin.

“None of us is capable of comprehending the deep sinfulness of our minds, the cosmic divide we willfully cause between us and God. Every day we spit in the face of the perfectly just, good and righteous Creator, who made us and all things, by preferring pointless pleasures in life over His glory. We Prefer everything in the world over him. We prefer ourselves over him. We lie, we covet, we’re angry and envious and self-exalting and proud.

But even the tiniest trespass against an infinitely Holy being would deserve an infinite judgement. Then what about the never-ending torrent of sins we commit, daily? An infinitely just and Holy being would cast all such creatures as far away from himself as possible, for all eternity.

What can any of us do to repay our sins and earn a place with God? Nothing, No amount of finite “good deeds” as offerings can pay off that infinite mountain of sin debt we build ourselves. Sins of infinite severity can only be atoned by something of infinite value. And the only thing with infinite value is God.

And thus, because the almighty God is not only a perfectly just God, but a loving, merciful God, he has freely given us the atonement. By sacrificing His eternal son Jesus the Christ, God himself in the flesh. The lamb of God, who willingly went to be crucified in our stead for our sins, and rose from the dead conquering death itself.

No works can earn you salvation, only the free gift of mercy that is given by admitting our sinfulness, through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ the Lord and Savior.”

The signs are all around us! This age as so many brothers and sisters have said is rapidly coming to an end. Time is very short, 2024 is here and events are moving faster then many thought possible. Don’t stay on the fence and think the message of the cross is foolish. The Lord Almighty has offered you a path to an amazing future beyond your wildest dreams through his son Jesus Christ.

Remember… Tomorrow may not come… but with Jesus Christ you will have eternity!

God Bless

Zachary

This morning I was reading an article on Rapture Ready that implies we won’t be raptured for almost another 3 years. That’s impossible to imagine in my mind.

Yes, God knows best and we are to wait upon Him and His plan, that is irrefutable. But I truly don’t see how we can stay in this holding pattern until mid-2026.

Hallelujah that every day more souls are coming to saving faith in Him; I am grateful that His salvation is being poured out and many brothers and sisters will be spared the Tribulation! This is answered prayer because I ask the Lord to save as many as possible daily.

But my mind isn’t capable of seeing how the high tides of evil will be abated with all the signs we see. (Of course, in 2021, I couldn’t see how we’d make it to today either. We are watching the strong arm of the Lord at work in miraculous ways, moment by moment.) Now it seems to me the time has come for us as the Church to cry out loudly to the Lord to come quickly and rescue us!

We are all being poisoned by the water, in the air and through contaminated food. We are being threatened and murdered by the violence overtaking our world. (I am speaking from personal experience as our family endured a devastating double murder/suicide on Christmas Eve.) And we are watching perversions and lawlessness being celebrated as good while good is called evil and punished.

I am so ready to go home, and obviously most of you are too.

    Maranatha.

I so agree Robin with your statement of the Rapture not occurring until 2026?? Everyday we are here especially in the United States we are running out of NORMAL. It seems to me that Jesus will come when life is pretty much the same as usual as in fairly normal?? Otherwise it would not take the unbelievers by surprise? As things progress and become more dark and even more sinister, it seems that people would be more apt to think that Jesus would come back in such times of peril and distress. That is just my opinion. I just keep looking up everyday and praying that today will be the day?? Listening for that trumpet sound. COME LORD JESUS COME🙏🏻🙏🏻

Amen Pamela, it doesn’t seem possible for us to be here that long.

But the miraculous is happening all around so who knows?! Clearly I’m on your team, let’s go go go!

I’m sure the Hebrews who knew scripture and of God’s promises to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were begging the Lord to deliver them out of Egypt too.

        All in His timing.

There are, no doubt, many reasons people just refuse to “get it.” One might be that Jesus’ life, from birth to death to life again is simply “unbelievable” based on the laws of nature. We’ve already seen how many scientists would fit into this category.

Another might be the “accountability factor.” Though we are not saved by works, if we want to accept Jesus we will have to be honest with ourselves and likely have to discard some of those things which we liked before. We will also have to admit we can’t do it all on our own and pride is not an easy thing to deal with.

As to the growing increase of evil, there is, in our human nature, a capacity an adaptability. For example, people who live in cold climates long enough get used to it. Same can occur with the human conscience, a fact Paul himself pointed out:

1 Timothy {4:1} Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; {4:2} Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron.

Whatever the reason, despite repeated warnings, such as those in the article above, most of them will fall on deaf ears with tragic results.

Yes, Ed, precisely…and people will continue to get worse as times grow darker.

The prophet Daniel was told by the Lord in Chapter 12 verses 8-10:
8 I heard, but I did not understand. So I asked, “My lord, what will be the outcome of these things?”

9 “Go on your way, Daniel,” he replied, “for the words are closed up and sealed until the time of the end. 10 Many will be purified, made spotless, and refined, but the wicked will continue to act wickedly. None of the wicked will understand, but the wise will understand.”

It is easy to see why people don’t understand what is happening. Even the prophet Daniel didn’t understand what he saw as he had no reference point to understand the visions of the future that God revealed to him. But we, being wise, DO have reference points. What Daniel saw is completely understandable to us because we are redeemed and have been given eyes to see by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit, we would have no true understanding.

It is sad to see what is happening. Very sad, indeed. But we must encourage one another because the Lord has proven Who He Is to us, it is impossible for us to unsee! And we are deeply blessed in knowing.

      Jesus said in Matthew 13:14-17

14 And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says:

‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand,
      And seeing you will see and not perceive;
15 For the hearts of this people have grown dull.
Their ears are hard of hearing,
And their eyes they have closed,
Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears,
Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn,
So that I should heal them.’
16 But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear; 17 for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.

As much as this applied to the apostles with Christ in His first advent, it seems equally true for us today.

      • Ed Wood's avatar Ed Wood says:

        Hi, Robin.

I am always impressed by YOUR understanding of the Bible and the signs of these times. Daniel always sought for his answers from God, but even for him, many things of the End Times were still a mystery to him.

We have had the advantage of God himself stepping into history 2000 years ago and showing us even more and yet, just as the religious experts of his time couldn’t discern the signs of their times and that the Messiah was standing right in front of them, it is exactly the same today. Bad enough that the secular world remains in darkness, but most of the “church” today not only remains there but actually prefers it.

        Paul said it so well:
1 Corinthians {2:12} Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. {2:13} Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. {2:14} But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them,] because they are spiritually discerned.

It isn’t that believers are “better” than anyone else, but I think I can safely say that because we have accepted Jesus, it lets our minds be open to learn those things that the world rejects. The wisdom we might acquire is not intrinsic but the direct action of the Holy Spirit.

According to the Bible, a “trump” will sound immediately before the Rapture (1 Corinthians 15:51). I think this is a literal event and that every believer, dead or alive, will not only hear it, but know exactly what it means – that Jesus is finally, and at long last, calling us all home!

        God bless, Robin.

Keep looking up – and listening!

Israel was born in a day, May 15, 1948.
Jesus said, This generation shall not pass away until all these things take place.
Everyone is getting older, and time is running out!
God’s calendar is correct, and He is quite aware when He has to descend from Heaven with a shout and the voice of the Archangel.
    Trust God, not man!
    God bless.
