The one signal that most powerfully proves where the world is currently located on God’s prophetic timeline is Israel’s present position within the panoply of nation-states.
It is undeniably obvious that Israel today stands in the bull’s eye of rage. This is true in the case of being targeted by the Jewish state’s perennial antagonists, the Arab and Persian Islamist enemies. It is true in the case of the entire international community, whose constituent nations see Israel as the congestive blockage to regional and world peace. But it is the growing antagonism by this United States presidential administration’s operatives that is most disconcerting while this beleaguered planet wobbles toward a time of unprecedented trouble.
As a matter of fact, that coming time of unparalleled strife that will bring all nations to Armageddon is termed “the time of Jacob’s trouble” by Isaiah the prophet:
Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble. (Jeremiah 30:7a)
And, it is Jacob’s trouble—the prophesied end-of-days dastardly treatment of Israel by the nations of earth—that will cause the God of Heaven to bring them to Armageddon. This is what the prophet Joel foretells:
I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land. (Joel 3:2)
This will be the gathering of the nations of earth predicted in the book of Revelation:
For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty…And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. (Revelation 16:14, 16)
This will be the culmination of humankind dealing treacherously with God’s chosen people, the Jews. The Lord’s promise to Abraham includes severe repercussions for anyone who would curse the progeny of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob:
And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. (Genesis 12:3)
God’s declaration is most dramatically validated by looking at twentieth-century history. Adolf Hitler and the Nazi regime made hatred of and genocide against the Jews the focus of the unalloyed evil they spewed. The ashes of the Führer and his Nazi colleagues are scattered in ignominious disgrace across the landscape that Josef Goebbels and the Nazi propagandists arrogantly boasted would be über alles—the all-powerful homeland for their thousand-year Reich.
Any consideration in research of Germany’s history involving the last two years of World War II and the years immediately following must acknowledge that it was as if the very wrath of God was upon the nation. Such documentation includes black-and-white film footage of German men and women forced by Allied Commander General Dwight D. Eisenhower to walk by the skeletal remains of thousands of Jewish corpses. That, Eisenhower stated, was so that the German people and the world would never forget the Holocaust. Its aftermath would forever be recorded.
Yet today, mainstream news journalists are more and more denying the genocide that took perhaps six million Jewish lives as well as the lives of other peoples. They show their loss of memory—even their anti-Semitism—by not jumping full-force down the throats of the elite Ivy League professors who regurgitate the lie that the Holocaust is a fable conjured by the Jews of the world. Rarely is there a repudiation of such blatant lies coming from the would-be destroyers of the Jewish State and the Jewish people.
Tragically, the refusal to educate generations that came after World War II on the truth about the insane treatment of the house of Israel is leading to a future time of even greater atrocities, thus judgment, according to God’s Word. The God of Heaven will react violently—more violently, even, than He reacted to the death-dealing of the Nazi demoniacs:
The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him. Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.
And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it… it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. (Zechariah 12:1–3, 29)
Now we come to the matter of “end-times betrayal.” This blog entry’s title is emphatic in its pronouncement, because the maneuvering actions by this president’s political party in dealing with Israel are wrapped in an impenetrable fog of political doublespeak. Republican Senator Lindsey Graham made manifest the doublespeak in his grilling of the Democrat secretary of state, who is a former top general in the American military establishment.
Lindsey Graham [grilled] Defense Secretary Austin on the Biden Administration’s freezing of weapons shipments to Israel, [asked] if Austin would support dropping the atom bombs on Japan.
Graham asked, “What’s Israel interested in? Do you believe Iran really wants to kill all the Jews if they could? The Iranian regime. Do you believe Hamas is serious when they say we’ll keep doing it over and over again? Do you agree that they will if they can?” Austin answered, “I do.” He also answered in the affirmative when asked if Hezbollah was a terrorist organization. (“Lindsey Graham: ‘Blocking weapons to Israel obscene, Hiroshima, Nagasaki on steroids,’| Israel National News – Arutz Sheva, May 8, 2024)
This former general admitted in the committee probe that Israel, in effect, had a right to defend itself. But at the same time he, as secretary of defense for the Biden administration, withheld promised vital weapons shipments Israel needs to keep its raging enemies from a repeat of October 7, 2023, when Hamas slaughtered and raped 1,200 or more Israelis and others in an unprovoked attack. Hamas, as of this writing, is believed to continue to hold many hostages, including a number of corpses. The terrorist captors reportedly continue to rape and torture their captives.
President Biden himself said he would never give Israel offensive weapons, only defensive ones. This itself is an insanely irrational response to the matter of America remaining faithful in its commitment to its chief ally in the Middle-East–the only truly democratic nation-state in the region.
Israel is one thing more. It is the only invincible nation on earth. And America has nothing to do with its invincibility. Here are the words of the One who will never betray His chosen nation’s promise of invincibility:
This is what the Lord says, “He who appoints the sun to shine by day, Who decrees the moon and stars to shine by night, Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar—the Lord Almighty is His Name; Only if these ordinances vanish from My sight,” declares the Lord, “will the descendants of Israel ever cease to be a nation before Me.” (Jeremiah 31:35–36)
Watching prophesy unfold daily is unnerving and thrilling at the same time. I feel like I’m strapped onto a roller coaster ride that starts and stops continually, and I can’t get off. Don’t misunderstand, I know God is at the controls, and I trust Him implicitly, even unto death. I wonder if part of the reason there are so many Believers who don’t fully understand what is happening is that God is protecting them somehow because they simply couldn’t survive it. In our frail and fallen human state…let’s just say it’s not for the faint of heart. And perhaps that is why there is a Crown of Righteousness promised to the remnant who are paying attention, watching and praying while we wait.
Yesterday when all of the controversy was swirling around Raisi’s helicopter crash, I said to a sister in Christ “…we are watching God play cosmic chess with opponents all around the world, who are completely outmatched by The Master. He decides it’s time to take this piece off the board and it happens. Or when a player decides THEY want to remove a piece from the board, God sometimes allows it because he already knows how He’ll maneuver around their plans. It’s very fascinating to watch Him work in incredible and mighty ways on a daily basis.” I am reminded of Psalm 2 every day; God laughs in derision at their schemes.
We continue to hear of tremendous revival in Iran and that millions of new Christians have come to saving faith there in the past few years. They must be praising the Lord for answering their prayers and bringing His judgment against the very wicked men who died yesterday. They can see their deliverance is drawing near. He will graciously remove all those Believers before the Tribulation, when disaster falls upon Elam. Just as He has promised to do for us when righteous judgment falls on the USA for her multiple sins and abandonment of Israel.
This nation and this world is not our home.
I continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. I continue to pray for all those who God has chosen, that haven’t come to HIm yet in saving faith, Ephesians 1:4 “…even as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him.”
Lord, may many more, including our friends and family who are still in the darkness, turn to You in repentance and saving faith, before Tribulation comes.
One day closer. Maranatha!
Amen ✝️
Well said.
It’s def not for the faint of heart and even scares me at times as I have had a pretty comfortable life here in the good ole USA. Never had much bad happen to me. So I am comforting myself with a book by Michael Vlach about our lives in the world to come. It’s called The New Creation Model: A Paradigm for Discovering God’s Restoration Purposes from Creation to New Creation. On Amazon if anyone is interested. God bless everyone!
Thank you for the book recommendation. I just ordered it and will begin reading it tomorrow. I need positive encouragement to distract me from the rumor that China will invade Taiwan in June. (They’ll probably have to if they want to maximize the leverage they purchased, as the evidence supports that they bought and paid for the Biden family.)
Wars and rumors of wars. Come Lord Jesus!
Happy to recommend, robin, and so glad you got it. I just started it tonight. I have to admit I’ve not given much thought to the next life but with everything going to hell in a handbasket on earth lately, it entered my mind to think about this. Someone in a Facebook group I am in recommended it to me. It is called Calvinism, Dispensationalism, Presuppositionalism if you are on FB and interested in that. I am learning a lot. Take care and God bless.
Thanks again so much, I will
check that out as well. Blessings to you!

I believe the U.S. came to exist because our founders honored God, his moral principles, and for the role we would one day play in the establishment and protection of a homeland for the Jews.
Now we have an aging and diminished president being run by the radical left which hates God, his principles, and Israel as well. It’s a perfect trifecta of evil!
America was great only when it was good. Certainly, there are a lot of good people left, but the problem is that too few of them are willing to stick out their necks for what’s right. They won’t even elect decent leaders to do it for them or to demand real election reform and accountability so that the fix isn’t in to cause them to lose.
America is no longer good or great. Worse still, we have become irrelevant when it comes to standing for the Godly principles on which it was founded and for protecting the nation of Israel, which is still the apple of God’s eye (Deuteronomy 32:9-10).
I agree Ed and I’ve prayed that Jesus would please come before another pride month. It’s grievous what these God-haters do in our nation to “celebrate their choices” while demanding we do the same. The pushback against it is growing, thank the Lord, but it’s still front and center all month long.
Clearly, we are no longer a “Christian Nation” but I believe we remain the most influential and Christian nation, per capita, on the planet. It is heartwarming when I hear people speaking out for Jesus. Like the Lord told Elijah when he thought he was the only one left in Israel who loved the Lord, I’m paraphrasing here, “I have saved 7000 back for myself.” We are not alone! There are probably more like 30,000,000 here in the USA. He has promised to take us out before His wrath falls.
When we are gone, all Hell is going to break loose. I feel such empathy for those who come to Christ under those circumstances. Better late than never, to be sure, but oh my, how tremulous their lives will be.
Every day we are one step closer.
I’m totally with you, Robin.
A couple years ago, I had the misfortune to have to travel to a nearby middle-sized town that was absolutely festooned with rainbows and all manner of “gay pride” banners, etc. I was thoroughly disgusted! Jesus’ words of the last days being like those of Lot immediately came to mind. Along with that was my own wondering of just how long God would put up with this.
I, too, think that the U.S. still has the highest ratio of Christians in the world, but it is clear we are rapidly becoming a “diminishing species.” So, as you correctly said, it is easy for us to feel quite isolated. I’m glad there are places like this website where we can see that there are indeed some of us left.
We’ll get to see who they are on the way up on that grand day we rise to finally be with Jesus!
See YOU there among them!
Amen, brother, it won’t be long! Friends forever ;).
Immediately before “The Time of Jacob’s Trouble” is verse 6, talking about men having babies – which no one would understand up to just a few years ago. So Jeremiah very precisely dated the timeframe for this to happen 25+ centuries ago, and confirmed by the Olivet and other sections, such as 2 Timothy 3.
The thing about Genesis `12:3 is that whatever someone curses the apple of God’s eye is what will actually happen to themselves, such as Pharaoh throwing Hebrew boys into the waters, and being drowned himself. Poor Persians and other hordes of Magog.
Columbus sailed the ocean blue on the ninth of Av, setting in motion a grand cosmic plan to return the Jews 1878 years after their eviction. Things are not falling apart, they are falling into place (Jan), and it is impossible to understand the times in which we live without the proper worldview and lens of Truth.
Right now things seem to REALLY be speeding up (ta’kos) dramatically!! I’m sure Jesus said that’s when He’d come “quickly”. Even so come, Lord Jesus. We are waiting for You. ( & trying to tell an unwilling generation about the priceless gift of eternal life through your precious shed blood). Open their eyes & hearts Dear Lord Jesus. MARANATHA, In Jesus, Christy
You make some good points Mike.
Absolutely fantastic article that explains Our Mighty God’s view of His Chosen Beloved People!
Hope this is okay to post here. I wanted to ask everyone who reads this to please pray for a woman I know in Britain. She is a white middle-aged female (autistic) who converted to Islam some 20 years ago. She has an aunt (her favorite) who is a born-again Christian and now me in her life witnessing to her. She refuses anything to do with Christianity. Says Islam suits her because it appeals to her sense of logic and common sense. She has never lived in an Islamic country and has no real-life knowledge of what her fate would be if she did. How she can embrace this is beyond me. Everything I say and everything I send is rebuffed. So I am going to stop all attempts and just pray for her. And I would be so appreciative for prayers on her behalf. I do not even know her true name as I met her in an online forum and no one uses their real names there, well, no one but me. So all I know is Spud. So if anyone who reads this will ask God to open Spud’s heart to Christ, I would so appreciate it. I have many unbelieving friends online and I pray for them all, but this one gal lays heavy on my heart. Many thanks and God bless you all.
Jodyel, I know it is tough to try to convince an unbeliever that what we believe about Jesus is true, but you can rest in the knowledge that you have done your part.
Best of all, God knows this, too!
Remember, that despite all the miracles Jesus performed during his first advent, all too many of the people who witnessed them still didn’t believe him.
Paul tried to convince many of his own kinsman the Jesus was, indeed, the messiah, but they refused to believe him. So, he essentially packed his bags and moved on – which ended up being a great blessing to the Gentiles – which includes us:
Acts {18:5} And when Silas and Timotheus were come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews [that] Jesus [was] Christ. {18:6} And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook [his] raiment, and said unto them, Your blood [be] upon your own heads; I [am] clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.
Thing is, you may never know in this life what will grow from the seeds you have planted along the way.
Thank you, Ed.
She has heard and rejected many times, and now we have stopped communicating frequently. So I am not going to mention it again. Time to shake the dust off and move on to those who are willing to hear.
God bless,
Jody
You are absolutely right. You’ve done your part and I would not be surprised that you will meet people when we all leave here who are there because of your witness.
Imagine how pleased Jesus is already!
God bless, Jody.
