The America-Babylon Speculation

Something I’ve often fought against in my writer’s mind in these commentaries is the matter of being too America-centric. That is, it’s always tempting to bring things involving the United States into articles. I’m most familiar with our nation and its influence on geopolitical and other areas of life upon the planet. So it’s perhaps a sense of familiarity that produces laziness in my research if my guard against such isn’t at full resolution.

However, in this particular piece, it is altogether appropriate to make America the focal point. The reason is that I continue to receive a number of emails from writers who look at developments in which the US is undeniably at the center of critical areas of nation-state interaction.

Of course, the emails I receive are inevitably steeped in and surrounded by questions with Bible prophecy at their center. And with the frenetic pace of developments lately, those messages are, almost as a unified theme, posing the question: Why is America so powerfully observable in geopolitical and geo-economics activity at this late hour of this Age of Grace (Church Age)?

Without exception, these mention the fact that the American president commands full attention in all he does, and now there is, with the death of Pope Francis, a newly elected pontiff—an American.

President Trump seemingly has the magic touch in leading all nations–even antagonist nations like China—to join in working to make the world economy one that will benefit all. This president also leads the way in seeking peace in the Middle East in dealing with Iran and Israel, between Russia and Ukraine, and between India and Pakistan–all areas that present the danger of igniting nuclear conflict.

Pope Leo XIV, who is already ballyhooed as “the American pope,” joins the movement in calling for peace and safety as he demonstratively aims to lead with great vigor from the Vatican, Christendom’s most powerful center from the world’s diplomatic perspective.

Many who watch things develop toward prophetic stage-setting and even fulfillment are speculating as to whether the powerful influence the US is currently exhibiting in the areas of geopolitics, geo-economics, and religion might indicate that America is destined to be the Babylon of Revelation 18.

One of the most-asked questions by those interested in end-times matters is: “Is America in Bible prophecy?” Or, “Why isn’t America, certainly considered the greatest nation to this point in history in terms of wealth and material achievement, not in Bible prophecy?”

The most common answer given by teachers and others who view prophecy from the premillennial, pre-Tribulation, futurist perspective is: “No. America is not found in Bible prophecy.” That has most frequently been my own answer to that basic question. The US isn’t found within the pages of God’s prophetic Word.

I can’t answer for others who deal with biblical eschatology (the study of end things). I can only say that my own meaning within my answer is that the US isn’t mentioned by name anywhere in prophecy.

Whether this most materially blessed nation in history, despite the absence of its name, is or is not somewhere in prophecy is another matter. Regarding that, my thinking has trended in more recent times toward “perhaps.”

Babylon, the city second only to Jerusalem as far as the number of times it’s mentioned in the Bible, is, of course, at the center of most controversy in the question of whether America is implied in Scripture. Is the United States Babylon the Great?

Despite the adamant answers to this query by some of my colleagues and friends on both sides of the America/Babylon matter, I must say they cannot—nor can I—know for certain. Only history playing out can provide the answer. We don’t know the future in detail when speculating upon such peripheral prophetic issues. Such is reserved exclusively for the God of Heaven.

Time’s unfolding, however, always draws things to come into focus so that prophetic detail can be more clearly discerned. It seems to me that recent times have provided ever-increasing magnification, showing America’s possible inclusion within these “end-of-days” prophecies, as the secular world terms them.

I’m not declaring that I think America is Babylon the GreatLike this commentary’s title implies, however, our nation, in many ways, looks more and more like a mirror reflection of that prophesied entity. The speculation therefore is allowable, in my view.

If God’s Word is true—and it is in every respect—there must be a city, nation, and commercial influence of tremendous magnitude during the time of what John was told to call the Apocalypse: the “Revelation of Jesus Christ.”

We must then, if trying to understand whether the present generation is near the time of Christ’s revelation, or Second Coming, ask whether a city-state commercial system as described in Revelation 18 exists.

As a matter of fact, there is indeed such an entity. It is the only one on the scene right now. Far beyond that fact, the one presently on the scene is unlike any other that’s ever existed.

The United States of America is, in terms of human achievement and attainment of every conceivable development of material convenience, the absolute apex of all nations of all of history! This isn’t being boastful of my nation. It’s simply fact that even the most ardent America-hater can’t truthfully deny.

At the same time, as we’ve seen over these closing days of the age, America is the exporter of evil even the likes of Sodom couldn’t claim.

Here are God’s Words, through John while the apostle and prophet was exiled on Patmos. Is there any possibility that these words might fit America the Great?

Let’s look here at the mysterious entity God called “Babylon the Great. Its total destruction assuredly describes how it will be the apex nation/city/commercial and religious system of human history.

And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning, Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.

The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing, And saying, Alas, alas that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!

For in one hour so great riches is come to naught. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off, And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!

And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate (Revelation 18:9–10, 15–19).

It’s a frightful and exceedingly sad speculationto be sure. But we are commanded by our Lord to “watch” (Mark 13:37). Therefore, we must do so in accordance with Christ’s other command:

And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. (Luke 21:28)

This Most Dangerous Moment

The message I sense that’s the most important to address is that we–humanity—are now on the precipice of history’s most dangerous moment.

It is the most dangerous because of the warning of the very God of all creation. They are the words of Jesus when He walked in human flesh upon the streets and hills in and around Jerusalem. I would get tired of repeating them so many times in these commentaries. But I dare not stop repeating them, because I sense this prophetic message involves what I’m convicted the Holy Spirit wants all of humanity—both the born again and the unsaved—to know.

And it is dangerous particularly to the unsaved—all of humanity who are of the age of understanding (age of accountability) who don’t know Christ for salvation of their souls. It’s also dangerous, in a sense, to the born again (all who know Jesus for salvation), because we’re commanded to “watch” (Mark 13:37) and discern this late hour of the Age of Grace (Church Age). To disregard this command by the Lord is to disobey God.

Again, I’m convicted that the world of humanity is exactly at the time Jesus spoke of in warning of His next catastrophic intervention into this world of advancing wickedness. And the conditions the Lord said will be manifest immediately before He calls the Church into Heaven are nothing like some Bible prophecy pundits who deny the pre-Trib Rapture are presenting.

And, it isn’t my purpose to be disrespectful to the people who are misreading and falsely reporting on what Paul the apostle and even the Lord Jesus prophesied regarding the very end of this Age of Grace. My purpose is to present the truth so Christ’s warning is conveyed by the Holy Spirit to the understanding of humankind.

Those Bible prophecy writers and pundits to whom I refer have taught for years that we are seeing the economy and all else get worse, and that we should prepare to enter history’s worst time–the Tribulation (Daniel’s 70th week). They accuse that Christians have been led astray by those of us who preach, teach, broadcast, and write that Christ will call all believers in the Rapture to Himself and safety before that terrible time of Tribulation begins. Christians, these anti-pre-Trib Rapture proponents declare, therefore won’t recognize Antichrist and won’t be prepared to “endure unto the end” (endure until the Second Advent of Christ at the time of Armageddon).

For the past months, in particular, the pre-Trib Rapture opponents have had us look at economic conditions so dire that we should, they declare, recognize that the world will be swept into unprecedented depression at any moment. They say this is the beginning of the world of humanity going into the prophesied Tribulation. Indeed, things were looking extremely bleak in that regard. All the secular economic gurus agreed that depression is on the way. It cannot be avoided or averted.

My own take has been focused not on what men say, but on what the Lord Jesus Christ said about the end of this age. And, please understand, I have no delusions of grandeur that I’m an Old Testament-type prophet, or even one who has had a “word of knowledge,” as some claim to have. I just read what our Lord says about the end things and believe Him. Therefore, the Holy Spirit directs as I adhere to God’s Holy Word. Any Christian can do the same.

I’ve written that I believe there will be no great economic disaster on a worldwide scale, neither will there be a world-rending nuclear conflict.

The Lord, through His Word and my prayerful consideration thereof, made it known to me that the economy will, at the end of this age, be in a business-as-usual condition rather than in great depression. I’ve written on it probably until folks are tired of reading it: I believe Jesus said it will be business even better than usual at the time He was referring to in Luke 17:28–30.

Here again is that prophecy:

Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. (Luke 17:28–30)

Again, I believe the Lord was saying here that at the time He next interrupts the affairs of humankind business will be booming, not in a state of depression and calamity. Sodom and Gomorrah, when Lot lived there and served as a city administrator and judge, was the envy of the entire region. Business was booming–while just beneath the surface of civility, the twin cities were probably the most wicked and debauched on earth. Jesus said it will be just like that when He next reveals Himself to humanity. The righteous (represented by Lot) will be removed, then destruction will befall those left behind.

Now we come to the present time on this wicked, debauched planet. Until recently, the economic outlook was bleak–very bleak. Depression and worse looked to be on the cusp of plunging us into both economic disaster and World War III. Wars and rumors thereof were–and remain—in the news.

I believe we’re being shown that God is still in complete control, no matter how bleak things look. Jesus foretold about this very moment just before the world plunges into that abyss the pundits—secular and some Bible-teacher sorts—have predicted for years.

Suddenly we see the world of economy begin to bloom. Remember, I’ve written that I believe Donald John Trump is not a godly man, but he is, I have no doubt, God’s man for this hour.

He is a builder and negotiator like none I can recall, either by observation or by my understanding of human history. I believe we’re about to witness an economic boom.

And even our friends who oppose teaching the pre-Trib Rapture are lightening up a bit, although never coming into the pre-Trib camp.

I offer as evidence these brief prompts from one such writer. The first is found in our Rapture Ready News list for Tuesday May 11, 2025. The second is a couple of days later, May 13, when Trump’s bringing the UK, China, and other nations into talks about trade has begun producing spectacular results in an economic upswing worldwide. Even the previously skeptical Wall Street types are now predicting not gloom and doom, but a boom, if things keep moving ahead under the direction of Mr. Trump.

On May 11, the writer’s take was almost Tribulation gloomy.

Financial Stress Is at an All-Time High for 70 Percent of Americans
When you don’t have enough money to pay the bills, it can make for a lot of sleepless nights.  If you are in that position right now, I want you to know that you are definitely not alone.  I have heard from so many people that are being absolutely crushed by our ongoing cost of living crisis that seems to have no end in sight.  Just about everything has become substantially more expensive over the past five years, and now the global trade war threatens to push prices for foreign-made goods into the stratosphere.

On May 13, after Trump began bringing together top nations to talk trade deals, the writer has lightened his dire presentation–but only to a degree, and with a tone of sarcastic wit.

The Truth about the “Trade Deal” With China
Everybody is so happy right now.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up more than 1,000 points today, the talking heads on television are bubbling over with optimism, and even many of President Trump’s harshest critics are cheering.  It warms my heart to see everyone so happy, and so there is part of me that is not inclined to dump rain on everyone’s parade.  But I am not going to tell people what they want to hear just to tickle their ears.  I have got to tell the truth about the agreement that has just been made with China, and the truth is not all rainbows and lollipops.

I agree with his conclusion in that statement. The truth is not all “rainbows and lollipops.”

It’s certainly not all “rainbows and lollypops” for those who aren’t under the sheltering wing of the Lord Jesus Christ. Those who haven’t accepted Christ’s grace-gift offer of salvation from the wages of sin are at the most dangerous moment of human history.

Jesus said He would next intervene into history catastrophically when conditions are precisely as they are quickly becoming while we watch things unfold hourly. It looks to the world that all is about to make a climb out of certain economic collapse and all-out, worldwide war into a time of peace and prosperity. This is, however, a time exactly like what Jesus described. Rather than a spectacular climb into the stratospherics of peace and prosperity, sudden destruction is about to begin.

The great Dave Hunt wrote masterfully of this time in his book: Peace, Prosperity, and the Coming Holocaust.”

This economic boom and cry for peace and safety–even from the just-elected pope from America in Rome, all means that it is like it was in the days of Lot when he and his daughters (the only righteousness God saw in Sodom and Gomorrah) were removed to safety. Sudden destruction fell following that removal. Jesus said conditions will be exactly like that when He is next revealed, making God’s presence known to the entire world.

Even so, come Lord Jesus!

Big Picture of Mounting Prophecy Pressures

Periodically taking a look at the developing big picture, in snapshot fashion, is useful to best serving as watchers of the prophetic clock. With this in mind, let’s—in general terms—examine several current matters of interest concerning Bible prophecy.

Pressures are mounting that indicate increasingly swift movement toward accomplishment of the globalist agenda. This isn’t shocking, considering all the other end-of-the-age signals we consistently observe. The unusual thing I find that activates the sirens of alert is that, other than Israel at the epicenter of global wars and rumors of war, there isn’t one attention-grabbing issue or event that stands out while looking upon the march of eschatological possibilities. All are profound, when viewed in prophetic light, yet they meet in confluence and flow through our daily news without raising much of an alarm, even among those of us who make observing these matters our primary area of work.

We’re witnessing a flood of such issues and events. At the moment, it’s a controlled flood, but a flood nonetheless. I’m convinced it’s the beginnings of a torrent that will gush ungoverned once Christ says “come up here” to the Church.

Daniel framed the warning of that flood for the generation that would be witnessing the end of the age:

And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. (Daniel 9:26).

Daniel was told further:

But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. (Daniel 12:4a)

The flood the prophet was told would come at the end will be a war that will reach its terminus only after desolation is accomplished. In other words, it will end only with Christ’s catastrophic intervention into the murderous affairs of humankind at the end of Armageddon (Revelation 19:11).

We hear these days, even from secular pundits, that we’re already in World War III, but just don’t realize it yet. For my part, I can’t shake the impression that the attacks on America on September 11, 2001, might have been the first of the major salvos from satanic forces opening up the spigots of the end-times flood Daniel prophesied to this present generation.

With that as framework, let’s look briefly at the pressures building for bringing in that flood Daniel was warned about.

The Babylonian system is with this generation; it has been present within every generation. The system of moving back toward Babel—that is, toward one world government, socioeconomics, and religion—has never been as evident as today.

The system of humanistic government—represented in prophetic Scripture by the metallic image of Daniel 2; the weird beast of Daniel 7; the strange creature upon which the harlot rides in Revelation 12; and the beast that comes out of the sea in Revelation 13—is on the rise, while the pressures of ancient luciferian ambitions force end-times prophetic manifestations to the surface of our headlines.

All of it is wrapped in globalist thinking. We are marching back toward the one-world attempts in Genesis 11 that brought God’s direct intervention those many millennia ago.

Attempts at establishing one world government proceeds full-steam ahead. One world economy is the driving force behind the attempts to recapture the spirit of Babel. Both global government and economy are intertwined with a religious fervor for saving the planet from ecological disaster. The world’s most powerful governmental collective—the global economic powers that be—are doing their utmost to force their will on the main actors in the Middle East. They strive to construct a peace that will never eventuate, in the true sense. Their purpose is to govern the flow of oil and prevent Armageddon from igniting. Global economic control is the power that can bring all into compliance–the ability to bring the burgeoning world population into subjugation through the stranglehold of buying and selling. Environmentalism is the religion that continues to look to be the catalyst for attempting to win the hearts and minds of the peoples of the world. Earth Day seems to be the holiday the globalists have chosen as the sacrosanct day of worship at the altar of the developing Mother Earth goddess.

Regardless of the political, cultural, and societal differences, most all religious systems seem to embrace the call to come together for the unified purpose of making life on this sphere equally livable through sustainable development. Even some so-called Christian evangelicals have their own social order plans to achieve Heaven on Earth.

But, all the pressures being brought upon this world to comply with the globalists’ movement toward one world will produce not peace, but fulfilled prophecy. God will again intervene to put an end to the neo-Babel builders.

Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. (Psalm 2:1–5).

While we watch the humanistic/satanic pressures mount in attempt to bring about the Antichrist regime, we listen again to Jesus’ words of great comfort:

And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. (Luke 21:28)

Convergence and Urgency

A couple of weeks ago, my friend Mike Hile and I were at the Christ in Prophecy TV studio near Dallas. TV hosts Tim Moore and Dr. Nathan Jones invited me to interview on our latest book, Tracking Toward Tribulation: And the Any-Moment Intervention by Jesus Christ.

I believe strongly that the programming accomplished that day was Holy Spirit-directed, for two reasons that involve the meaning wrapped within the words “convergence” and “urgency.”

Lamb & Lion Ministries, the overall parent ministry for the Christ in Prophecy TV sector of that ministry, will, like us at RaptureReady, be concentrating more than ever on the convergence of indicators for prophetic fulfillment we see developing. Certainly, for those who are truly watching for prophetic stage-setting as the time of the Tribulation nears, there are hour-by-hour signals that the world is about to be plunged into the time Jesus said will become the worst in all of human history (Matthew 24:21).

“Convergence” was sort of a central theme we kept in mind while going through Tracking Toward Tribulation, a book with chapters by fourteen top scholars, writers, and broadcasters who have a pre-Trib view of Bible prophecy. Plus, I put my two cents in as general editor. I believe it’s one of the most prescient of these books the Lord has given me to publish. By this, I mean that each chapter seems to have a special, Holy-Spirit imprint on the dissection of the times each author presents. And the contributors’ in-depth examinations and analyses engender the word “urgency.”

While filming the programs, as we went through the many signals of convergence bursting forth more and more frequently and intensely in these strange times, it was made clear how the greatest of all prophets expected those who are watchmen to act and react. Jesus said the following in that regard:

And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. (Luke 21:28)

Jesus was saying He wants all who believe He is Lord and Savior to not be like the Judaizers, the Pharisees of the time when He first visited the earth in His fleshly incarnation.

These had their Messiah standing right in front of them, speaking with them, with Heaven-sent signs that He had come into their midst. He condemned them because they didn’t recognize Him despite all the signals. He said they could determine what the weather would be next day by observing the signals—the clouds, et cetera—but they couldn’t recognize Israel’s King standing before them at that very moment.

Jesus is saying today that the signals will be everywhere and in great profusion when the time arrives for His next intervention into the affairs of wicked humankind. We who have within us the Holy Spirit—whom He sent to indwell us when He returned to Heaven and the right hand of His Father—are to look up and know He is on His way back to take us unto Himself (paralambano in the Greek language). He will fulfill at that moment the mystery Paul would later reveal. Jesus said He would go away, but would come again and receive believers to Himself (John 14:1–3). That is the Rapture Paul, the great apostle, gave us in revealing that mystery Jesus described in John 14:1–3.

Jesus said in the Luke 21:28 account that we will see “all these things.” We’ll see the burgeoning signs of His Return. All of us (believers) are to watch for these signs (Mark 13:37).

Those of us who truly watch have been seeing these things “begin” to come to pass for quite some time. For certain, some who watch have been watching intensely since the rebirth of Israel on May 14, 1948!

The absolute avalanche of prophetic signals is converging at this moment at the end of this Age of Grace like at no other time I can remember. Thus I and the others in our Christ in Prophecy filming sessions believe there is great urgency to present these signs and all attendant to them as quickly and as effectively as possible. Souls of people hang precariously in the balance.

We want those who don’t know Jesus for salvation to not be left behind to suffer under Antichrist’s hellish evil and God’s wrath during the last seven years leading to Christ’s Second Advent. Nor do we want those who are lost in sin and headed for eternity apart from God to die and go to the lake of fire, that terrible place prepared for the devil and his rebellious angels.

Thus the urgency cannot be overemphasized. The convergence we see propelling this judgment-bound world toward the Tribulation means there isn’t time to disregard or ignore the call of the Holy Spirit to accept Jesus Christ right now, rather than think to accept His saving grace offer at some time in the future. Because of the convergence of signs, Jesus is, we concluded in that TV filming, perhaps at the very door of Heaven about to step out on the clouds of Glory to call all believers out of harm’s-way in the Rapture.

We want all who don’t know Him for salvation to be saved from the wrath to come, and instead be in the shelter of Jesus Christ. Here again is how you can be saved from sin and its deadly consequences. Jesus is the only Way (John 14:6).

That if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and will believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9–10)

Messiah Mania

Up front, I must confess I really don’t know exactly what this might mean, prophetically speaking, with regard to Jesus’ answer to His disciples’ question: “What shall be the sign of your coming and of the end of the world?” But developments are rapidly taking place surrounding Pope Francis’ death concerning the sudden emergence of a Messianic figure from within the Muslim world. I strongly suspect those developments have prophetic significance.

The following news story piqued my attention regarding a matter that’s long been swirling within the Islamic religion, as considered by students within Bible prophecy:

A powerful figure has emerged in the Muslim world, and his newly founded religion is gaining followers worldwide. Shockingly, on Easter Sunday, his followers declared him to be the new pope, and the next day, the Vatican announced that Pope Francis had passed away…

Abdullah Hashem Aba Al-Sadiq, commonly known as Abdullah Hashem, was born in 1983 in Indiana to an Egyptian father and an American mother. He is an Egyptian-American and the founder of the Hamada Religion of Peace and Light (AROPL), not to be confused with the Ahmadiyya community discriminated against in Pakistan. He claims to be the Qa’im Al Muhammad, the reincarnation or second coming of Muhammad and the Mahdi (Messiah). Adherents of the religion believe him to be the second of twelve Mahdis appointed in the will of the Prophet Mohammed.

[The AROPL] group’s central mission is to build the Divine Just State, which a divinely appointed king will rule. This will be a theocratic state with the king appointed by, and a representative of, God rather than through a democratic election process. The AROPL is opposed to the idea of democracy.

He claims to be the “living successor of both Prophet Muhammad and Jesus Christ,” and his sermons bring “a divine message to the global Christian community.” He also claims to be “the successor to Simon Peter, the successor to Jesus Christ, the true and legitimate Pope.” (“The Muslim Messiah Is Here and He Is Coming to Replace the Pope,” Israel 365 News, May 1, 2025)

I believe we are witnessing with the story above one of the first signals of the end of the age Jesus gave in answer to that question by His disciples.

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. (Matthew 24:4–5)

A few years ago, I wrote about a report of a young Jewish man who displayed supernatural powers, according to some of the Jewish religious hierarchy. At the time, many were touting him as possibly being Israel’s long-awaited Messiah.

I tried to find that article, but I have so many files that I haven’t been able to locate that commentary yet.

Obviously that Jewish phenom-man’s seeming supernatural displays faded into the burgeoning milieu engulfing the Jewish people and state.

“Messiah mania” among the Muslim world joins now in pointing to the lateness of the prophetic hour. The news item above tells of the Muslim candidate for Messiah (Mahdi) claiming to be the “living successor” to both Mohammed and Jesus Christ.

This assertion is almost certainly yet another of the end-of-the-age, false-Christ proclamations the Lord warned about.

Hoopla concerning the emergence of an Islamic messiah generates no angst for the world’s mainstream press. Any talk, however, of the Jewish Messiah coming to make Israel the head of all nations, of course, doesn’t sit well with the majority of earth’s powers that be. All but a very few countries object vehemently to Israel’s right to nationhood. Most, by far, believe Israel is an intruder in the Middle East, an imposter that has usurped the Palestinians’ rightful claims to the land. All nations—sadly, including America—still seek to divide the land granted to Israel by the God who created all that exists.

The “Messiah mania” we’re beginning to witness today is yet another end-times indicator for prophecy watchers to take into account.

Israel’s cry for their Messiah will—again, sadly—result in their accepting a false savior, one who will impose upon the Jewish people a holocaust more horrendous than the one with a capital “H” that was accomplished by the Nazi regime.

Antichrist will inflict upon that people a “final solution” that will try yet again to achieve Satan’s ages-long rage to rid the world of the Jew.

Thankfully, that attempt will result in Lucifer and his followers being destroyed in judgment from on high.

Israel will be a nation forever. We have God’s very word on it.

And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your descendants after you. And I will give to you and to your descendants after you, the land of your sojourning, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. (Genesis 17:7–8)

Quantum Quandaries :: By Gary Ritter

If you thought these end times couldn’t get any stranger, then I’ve got news for you: we just entered another dimension – literally.  You may have seen reports of the jaw-dropping statement made by Michael Kratsios, who is the Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology, otherwise known as the White House Tech Chief.  On April 14 as part of a larger speech, Kratsios made this statement:

“Our technologies permit us to manipulate time and space.”

His next sentence was equally perplexing:

They [our technologies] leave distance annihilated, cause things to grow, and improve productivity.

Wait!  He said what?  What do these things mean?

Well, leave it to me to give you my layman’s best guess from a Christian, Bible prophecy perspective.

As often happens to me, I’ve been reading a fascinating science fiction series that – with exquisite timing – intersects with this public pronouncement of America’s technical capabilities.  It also confirms my suspicions that what we the public are granted in the wisdom of our political savants is well behind the reality of where these developments actually are. In other words, technological advancement is much further along than what we in the general public are told at any given time.  This pronouncement by the chief technical advisor to the White House would seem to be proof of this.  We also have to ask why this is even being said right now?  What’s the impetus for letting this proverbial cat out of the bag telling us that our scientific advancement is well beyond what we’ve thought?

Let’s dive into this briefly.

One novel I’ve been reading is titled Quantum Space, the first in the five-book Quantum Series by Douglas Phillips.  These books would probably be considered “hard” science fiction similar to the book and movie, The Martian by Andy Weir.

Now, I’ll be the first to admit that when it comes to hard science, I’m at my worst.  Biology, chemistry, and physics in school were usually well above my capacity to grasp their concepts.  When I come across books like Quantum Space you have to understand that I’m approaching them in my general ignorance of science.  To that end, where actual scientific discoveries leave off and fictional speculation begins is pretty hard – for me, anyway – to discern.  That said, based on the Afterward written by the author, at least the basics of what are conveyed in the novel are fact.

Quantum physics is, as the Brave browser AI summary states:

. . . the branch of physics that explains how everything works by describing the behavior of particles that make up matter and the forces with which they interact.

There are concepts within this that are complex and far-reaching, including String Theory, Entanglement, and the idea of there being ten dimensions, i.e. seven more than what we can typically perceive in our 3-D space.  It has been said fairly reliably that the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in Switzerland regularly pierces the dimensional barriers.  However, there is another, somewhat smaller collider – or particle accelerator – located at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, i.e. Fermilab, in Batavia, Illinois.  It is also involved in extremely cutting-edge research and discoveries.  Whether this is for better or worse is another issue altogether, and we’ll get to that momentarily.

In the book, as the plot progresses, what the scientists are able to do at Fermilab is at the heart of this Commentary.  They have discovered a way to send into, and bring back, objects from a 4th dimension of space.  In so doing they also project a video camera into this dimension providing the ability to see in that context.  It’s quite strange and a way to comprehend it just a little is with the example given in the story.

A little book titled Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions was originally written and published in 1884.  It’s available on Amazon, and apparently a movie has been made about it.  The essence is that rather than the 3-D space we inhabit, Flatland involves a world which is only 2-D, i.e. it is a 2-dimensional world which has no height perspective.  It is as though a world exits on an absolutely flat piece of paper.  Anything outside of the length and width dimensions cannot be perceived by the inhabitants of that world.  This is the analogy for us to consider 4-D space.  We simply cannot apprehend it with any of our senses that are geared toward our 3-dimensional world.

What the quantum technology described in the Quantum Space book suggests is that the key to – not only seeing – but doing something with 4-D space, can be achieved via a complex mathematical formula that is put into practice at Fermilab.  Since the book was written in 2017, what was true then may be far exceeded today.  However, the author’s Afterward suggests that this aspect I’m about to describe was a speculative extension of the actual current technology.  Regardless, it does make a kind of sense to me.  In the book, he mentions a breakthrough formula which deals with the key to accessing 4-D space through a quantum process that involves the critical capabilities of compression and expansion; compression being the fundamental aspect. What is true or not true today may vary, but at the time of the book’s writing, this was not a real and/or provable concept.  Yet, given the exponential increase in scientific understanding, now eight years later, this certainly could be on the way to being science fact and not fiction.

From Flatland, picture an accordion-like structure intersecting the 2-D space and extending into a third dimension.  Flatland people cannot see it or do anything with it as it is outside their sensory range.  This accordion can compress and expand just as the actual instrument does.  If an object is at the far end of the accordion, which is extending out into the third dimension, when the accordion is completely collapsed/compressed that object would be seen and available in Flatland’s 2-dimensional space.

Now, consider a similar capability into 4-D space.  When the further end of the accordion is compressed all the way, an object at that far distance in the 4th dimension is now accessible in our 3-D space.  Thus, a planet that is light-years away through this compression is now only moments in distance from us.  The book’s author expresses this as an ability to compress distance by a factor of one million times or more.

Think about the Star Trek Transporter that can be used on a small or much grander scale.  If this quantum technology actually works – or could work as pictured in this novel – space research and even exploratory travel becomes as simple as placing a video camera in a box and taking close-up pictures of Saturn, or of stepping into a device and being transported instantly to the target object at the end of the accordion that is thousands of lightyears away.  Who needs spaceships?  Fermilab becomes the new NASA.

You can see how intriguing this is for the scientific community.  Perhaps you can also begin to picture what the White House Tech Chief might possibly have been alluding to. Remember what he said:

“Our technologies permit us to manipulate time and space.”

What I’ve just described concerning quantum technology certainly begins to ring some alarm bells, doesn’t it?  Just to add to the intrigue, recall that he also said:

They [our technologies] leave distance annihilated, cause things to grow, and improve productivity.

Factor this into the description I’ve given and see where that takes you.

Another aspect of all this science and potential is the saga of UFOs and aliens that over the years have intersected with earth in various ways.  Not only have Hollywood and various sci-fi authors dealt with this issue, but so has the Pentagon more and more in recent years.  This short, linked video from the Reese Report discusses a little of how our government has played with this over the years.

Basically, besides reporting UFO sightings, there is the cryptic and intriguing suggestion that we have been in contact with aliens, and they have provided us with various technologies.  This is where we get into the Biblical realm.

Given the dramatic actions that UFOs seem able to take based on video evidence – i.e. achieving incredible speeds, making 90-degree turns on a dime, and popping into and out of sight – perhaps some of the quantum discoveries help us to understand this.

First of all, I don’t for a quantum second believe that there are actual aliens from other worlds.  I absolutely believe that all of this interaction is a result of demonic activity that originates from a divine dimension that we are not normally privy to.

For our UFOs it seems to me that their dramatic capabilities are because they can go into and out of this other dimension.  We could even call it the 4th dimension we’ve been discussing.  It is apparently this dimension that CERN is able to pierce with its frightening apparitions of demonic beings that we’ve been told about.  Of course, the question is: What haven’t they told us?

When Fermilab invades this 4th dimension with its quantum technology, will they actually reach into farthest space, or into the demonic realm?  Are our scientists being deceived that we can achieve Star Trek capabilities to manipulate time and space, and to leave distance annihilated?  If we open these dimensional doors further, à la CERN or Fermilab, what might actually happen when certain prophetic timings are right?

Likewise, this whole business of collaborating with aliens and their technology is a major set-up, in my estimation, for the coming 7-year Tribulation.  I’ve postulated previously that many of the incredible high-tech scientific discoveries come from a demonic source because of the access the rebellious Sons of God have had to the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil since time immemorial.  How difficult is it for a powerful demonic being to deceive willing, God-hating, mankind?  I’ve discussed the powerful ability of angels to cast extremely life-like visions in various Prophecy Updates, including Alien Invasion and 6thBowl Frogs are Aliens.

All this makes me wonder what the “aliens” have told and shown our global rulers, plus military and political folks, who want so much to believe that they know better and are actually in control?  I can only say that they are in for a massive and memorable surprise in the not-too-distant future.  We may see some aspects of this Alien Revelation before the Lord come to Rapture us out of here.  However, once the Tribulation begins, all bets are off and the full force of Satan’s wrath, along with that of his willing rebellious accomplices in the demonic realm, will be off the charts.

Each day we’re treated – if I can use that word – to ever greater deceptions among the vast majority of mankind.  Jesus said that even the elect would be deceived without Holy Spirit discernment, and those who come to Christ during this terrible time ahead would perish, if He didn’t halt the carnage to come as the Lord of Hosts at the appropriate moment.

Our job as always, is to keep our eyes open and to view the world through a Biblical, prophetic lens.  By staying alert in this manner, we’ll be prepared for what comes next and never be taken by surprise.

These Wars and Rumors of War

A note from a frequent emailer friend in India brought to my spiritual understanding that indeed all we see happening on the peace-effort front might have prophetic significance beyond what I’ve fully covered.

I’ll just mention his name as “KS.” He proffered his thought that we could be right at the point near what’s described in 1 Thessalonians 5:3:

For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

KS then indicated that his thoughts included a nuclear deal with Iran and talks for a two-state solution that might be key to bringing about the Rapture and the “sudden destruction” Jesus spoke of in His “days of Lot” prophecy (Luke 17:2 8–30). The destruction might then eventuate to be the foretold permanent removal of Damascus as a city (Isaiah 17:1) and possibly the Psalm 83 war many believe to be in the near future (I still don’t agree with that).

It’s not that I haven’t considered the many issues involving possible war and peace under the light of Bible prophecy for the end times. It is just that there are so many major war dynamics erupting so often, I must now explore them more closely than ever. We have examined these things many times, based upon the words of the greatest of all prophets:

And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. (Matthew 24:6)

Jesus made it clear that as the end of this age (the Age of Grace) approaches, there will be a ramping-up of wars across the world. Yet He we shouldn’t be troubled; these terrible wars and dire warnings of war to come will not mean it is the end.

How in the world could the Lord say we shouldn’t be troubled–that this didn’t mean it is the end?! If there are to be more of these wars–many with the possibility of nuclear exchanges—shouldn’t that be reason for being more troublednot less?

When thinking on Jesus’ prophecy here, the words of World War II Prime Minister Winston Churchill come to mind. As Hitler’s Blitzkrieg and the bombings came to an end against London early in the war, Churchill tried to fortify the British people for the hellish war against the Nazis he knew Britain and the world still faced.

He said in a broadcast to his people and the rest of the world: “This is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.”

I wonder if Sir Winston, in his famous speech, framed his thoughts after studying Jesus’ words found in the Matthew 24:6 warning of things to come. Probably not. But Churchill’s own words might be expressed in terms of what we as a nation and world face at this moment.

Our own time at present in facing war is certainly not at an end. Ukraine versus Russia is at a critical phase, with obstacles against which even our own president, a master negotiator, can’t seem to make headway. Israel versus Iranian terrorist proxies rage and build daily toward becoming a truly troubling conflict. And my friend who lives in India faces rumors of nuclear war with Pakistan, where another of my friends makes his home and conducts Christian ministry. Both India and Pakistan now have heating-up hatreds long simmering, each possessing nuclear weaponry.

And, at the same time, a profoundly perilous “rumor of war” threatens regional and world peace.

Iran, with fanatic Islamic leadership that daily threatens to destroy the much-hated Israel, and that sponsors terrorism globally, is perhaps days from developing nuclear weapons it will use to accomplish its blood-vowed intention.

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has promised Iran will never be allowed to develop such weaponry. He is backed by a president of the United States who has proven he will follow through with what he promises. He has promised that if negotiations don’t work and the Iranian regime gets close to having an atomic weapon, the US military will lead the way in taking out Iran’s underground facilities.

Russia has signed pacts with the Iranians, and such lethal actions as will be necessary to destroy the underground weapons labs would make Russia put up or shut up in its friendship of protection with Iran.

This is indeed a “rumor of war” to consider!

The following news item tells of dangers involved in terms of the tenuousness of peace for Israel and the Middle East:

[Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speaking in JNS interview]

“I’m saying this for the ambassadors who are here—all of you know this,” he said. “We just tried a Palestinian state in Gaza,” he continued. “You saw what that brought, right?”

The Jewish state had been “attacked savagely, horribly” on Oct. 7, 2023, said Netanyahu. When German Chancellor Olaf Schultz, who visited Israel early in the war, “saw the film of the horrors and visited the sites, he said there: they’re exactly like the Nazis,” the Israeli premier recalled.

“And I said, well, they’re different. Not in intent, not in savagery—but the Nazis tried to hide their crimes. And these people carry GoPro cameras, live, you know, they’re ecstatic about the blood they shed, the people they butcher, the women they rape, the men they beheaded, the babies they burned,” he continued.

“You cannot build peace and security on lies. If you do so, sooner or later, these lies will crash on the realities of the Middle East,” he said…

“So what’s left? Well, quite a few things and many opportunities, but obviously they’ll all go down the tube if Iran gets nuclear weapons,” he added, vowing to work with Washington to ensure that Tehran will not be able to enrich uranium under a possible deal. (“ ‘Folly’ to Think Palestinian State Will Produce Peace, Netanyahu Tells JNS,” JNS staff, JNS.org)

My friend KS from India is looking for the Rapture like so many who can discern these end times of “wars and rumors of war.” Jesus has promised that there will be no such all-out, world-shattering war before He calls the Church (all born-again believers) to Himself in the Rapture. (Read again the “days of Lot” prophecy in Luke 17:28–30.)

In this sense, we can apply Mr. Churchill’s war-time statement to this time when the stage is being set for the quickly approaching Tribulation. What we see in these times of war and rumors of even greater wars of the nuclear sort, when viewed through the prism of Bible prophecy, is that this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps very soon, the end of the beginning.

This satanic assault on humanity, and particularly upon Israel, is about to end for those who believe in Jesus Christ for salvation. The Tribulation–the great end-times war—will then have its beginning in all its full-blown virulence and violence.

Now we can more clearly understand with spiritual assurance why the Lord Jesus said: “Let not your heart be troubled.”  Believers will not be here on earth to participate in the coming wars and humanity’s final war, Armageddon.

If you want to go to Christ and to the safety of the clouds of Glory when He calls believers to Himself, follow God’s holy instructions:

That if you will confess the Lord Jesus, and will believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9–10)

On Pope Francis and Prophecy

At the outset, I must be honest and say those of us who hold the Lord Jesus Christ as the One and Only Way to Heaven and God the Father came down hard on Pope Francis, who passed into Eternity on what is termed Easter Monday, April 21.

The reasons for our being against this pope go far beyond our belief that the Catholic Church puts forth false teaching that varies in demonically inspired ways. This particular pope, Jorge Mario Bergoglio, who chose the name Francis upon being elected as Pontiff following the resignation of Pope Benedict in 2013, consistently stated views he held that directly indicated he didn’t understand Jesus Christ to be the One and Only Way to Salvation.

My long-time friend and great Bible Prophecy teacher and broadcaster Dr. David Reagan listed for us this pope’s missing the mark about the Lord Jesus Christ and the Salvation issue.

In May of 2013, Pope Francis said that atheists could go to Heaven “if they lead good and honorable lives.”

In July of 2013, when asked if homosexuals could serve as priests, he replied: “If someone is gay and he searches for the Lord and has good will, who am I to judge?”

In November of 2015, he proclaimed that “Christians and Muslims are brothers and sisters.” In June 2016, Pope Francis issued his first video. In it, he expressed his belief that all the major religions are different paths to the same God. Following this shocking revelation, the video featured persons from different world religions expressing confidence in their various gods. The video then closed with the pope expressing his belief that regardless of religious profession, “we are all children of God.”

In May of 2023, he emphasized “doing good” as the principle that unites all humanity. He added, “The Lord has redeemed all of us, all of us, with the blood of Christ — not just Catholics. Everyone! Even the atheists. Everyone! … We must meet one another doing good.”

In December 2023, he authorized priests to bless same-sex couples.

The apostasy of Pope Francis was reinforced recently when he boldly proclaimed that there are many different roads to God. He made this declaration while speaking in Singapore in September of 2024. Specifically, he said, “There’s only one God, and each of us has a language to arrive at God. Some are Sikh, Muslim, Hindu, Christian, and they are different paths [to God].” Actually, this was nothing new for him. It was simply a more precise definition of what he had proclaimed in his infamous video of June 2016.

The Climax of Catholic Apostasy

These outreaches to world religions, regardless of the gods they worship, have now come to a climax with Pope Francis’ proclamation that all religions are roads to the same God.

This proclamation makes a mockery of the sacrifice of Jesus. It also makes Jesus a liar when He proclaimed, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me” (John 14:6). Further, it is directly contrary to the Apostle Peter’s declaration that “There is salvation in no one else [except Jesus]; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

Source: ‘Doctrines of Demons’: Pope Francis Dies As The Most Influential And Dangerous False Teacher, Berean Review, article by Dr. David Reagan, founder of Lamb, Lion Ministry and Christ In Prophecy]

There is undeniable proof from this pope’s own words throughout his papacy, which tells us that he would greatly diminish, or even eliminate, the death, burial, and Resurrection of our Blessed Lord Jesus Christ.

Any other gospel…

Perhaps no other classification of prophetic indicators exhibits more ubiquitous/prolific such end-time signs in this generation than the category “other gospels.” The Scriptures are found back-to-back and are repeated by the Apostle Paul for emphasis.

“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any [man] preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed” (Gal. 1:8-9).

This specific prophetic warning for the last generation just before Christ’s return is again given by the great apostle and prophet, Paul:

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables” (2 Tim. 4:3-4).

Satan comes at this generation with a full, frontal assault that no Christian should fail to recognize. Tragically, most do miss the attacks, so wrapped in the entertainment hyperbole of the day are they, their eyes on the glitter and glitz of the Hollywood hucksters of lasciviousness.

Endtime Doctrines and Seducing Spirits

Again, God’s warning through Paul the apostle is clear about the matter. The endtime generation will experience a great increase in false doctrines that seduce the people of that era.

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth” (1 Tim. 4:1-3).

Sadly, much of the replacement theology of our time –including that of the Catholic Church– is based in this satanic tripe because of the ignorance of those who hold to the belief that Israel no longer is heir to God’s promises to them. The blasphemy of claiming God would ever renege on an unconditional promise is held as doctrinal truth by major denominations within Christianity today. I believe it is one of the key elements of doctrinal integrity that will one day separate the Philadelphian Church from the Laodicean (read Rev. 3:7-19).

It is incredible that we could come to this point in the perversion of God’s truth. But, here we are, right on schedule in relationship to all other prophetic signs of the times, so far as God’s prophetic Word is concerned.

As disturbing as these blasphemies are, there are others far more troubling, in my view. They are far more troubling because they come, supposedly, from within Christianity. The most egregious examples are the new Bible versions based upon texts other than the authorized.

There isn’t space to go into detail here, but the new “Bibles” that tone down the blood atonement of Christ, His death, burial, and resurrection, or that relegate God to gender-neutral status rather than acknowledging Him in the masculine –that try to present a message that we shouldn’t concern ourselves with things like judgment, punishment, or Hell –that we shouldn’t concern ourselves with Christ’s coming again and the prophetic Word, are not Heaven-sent but hell-spawned.

Let us not be deceived by those who seek to diminish Jesus Christ in any form. Let’s not fall for any other gospel, but be fortified and edified by that once given –the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy (Rev. 19:10). That is essential to understand in this last time.
