Prophecy Line

Our America-centric Perspective

America stands at the center of all the strangeness that has enveloped this moment in history. There is no other way to say it that fits the circumstance in which we find ourselves. At least there is no way to say it that I, myself, can offer.

This is what is meant by the title of the commentary.

It is true that the COVID-19 pandemic affects the entire world of humanity, not just the US. It is true that there is economic turmoil not just here, but in every nation on earth. It is true that there is violence based upon racial strife breaking out in major cities around the world, not just in America. But all of these things seem to center in and around, and stem from, this nation.

Perhaps it is just a matter of perspective. Maybe its nationalistic myopia from which I suffer in considering all we are enduring. But I don’t think so.

America, as we have looked at many times, is the holdup to the globalist agenda hatched in the high places of wickedness by the powers and principalities, both human and demonic. My thoughts are stronger than ever in this regard in considering things from our America-centric prophetic perspective.

The most crucial presidential election yet, in my opinion, looms just ahead. One cannot just sense, but see—through minute-by-minute, hour-by-hour actions by the enraged—assaults from every angle against America as founded that the above perspective is the right vantage from which to draw conclusions.

It is the right perspective, not in the geopolitical sense of “right” vs “left, but the right perspective from the standpoint of what the Bible says about what is coming.

And what is coming is a regime so different from what we have known that it is unimaginable that it could ever happen in the minds of average Americans. It will be a regime that will produce, as Jesus put it, a time of tribulation “such as never was, nor will ever be.” It will be a beast regime—that of the man who will be Antichrist.

The question we who teach, preach, and write about Bible prophecy get practically every time there is a forum for questions and answers is something like: “What about America—is it in Bible prophecy?”

The answer is “No, America isn’t mentioned by name in Bible prophecy.” But, it is always appropriate to follow up with: “However, America is certainly in prophecy in the sense of being among the nations foretold to influence the course of human history while the end of the age approaches and the Tribulation looms.” We can say that, because here we are, right in the mix of things moving the world toward the climax of human history.  And, are they ever moving!

With this nation at the black heart of all the satanically inspired rage, hatred, and determination to bring America down so globalist plans can proceed, I can’t accept that I’m being America-centric unnecessarily. This nation is in the middle of a war, an end-times war in which I believe the Lord Himself intervened miraculously in the 2016 presidential election.

I have no answers to the war’s outcome in the short term. We do know that the globalists will get their “New World Order” at some point. But for now, the battle rages, and the very fact that it does is most encouraging. God is still in the middle of the fight, and there is no better side to be on than that of the omnipotent Creator of all things.

America, A Golden Cup

Again, is the name “America” given anywhere in Scripture? Of course not. But, the influence this nation has exerted since coming to its full bloom as earth’s greatest superpower in history makes it a prophetic nation. The Creator of all things continues to use America in His mighty hand to accomplish two very distinctive, supernatural purposes. As a matter of fact, the United States, in my view, has an overwhelming presence in Bible prophecy.

Its place is at the very heart of the end times things we see developing—matters we see unfolding in daily, even hourly, news reports. In this sense, I believe God is speaking of America—in type, if not by name, when His Word tells us the following:

Babylon [hath been] a golden cup in the LORD’S hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad. (Jeremiah 51:7).

Certainly, the United States of America has been a “golden cup” in the Lord’s hand. No other nation of modern vintage can come close to claiming that achievement.

Some nations of Europe were formative in bringing forth Christianity into the world, thus shedding a degree of gospel light into a world of sin-darkness. But it is America that, despite its great shortcomings and more recent degeneration, has been a shining beacon, reflecting from that golden cup in God’s hand.

Being the first nation in spreading to the whole world the gospel message that Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross makes possible the only way to redemption for lost mankind is a feat no other country can claim. This, ultimately, has been done not by the offices, or under the auspices of American ingenuity, but by the omniscience and the omnipotence of the One holding the “golden cup.”

It is God’s grace and mercy that has put America as a beacon of God’s light upon that mountain of gospel dissemination. God’s providence gave this nation the industrial and technological genius—a fact that is denied, or that is so taken for granted today.

Israel the Real Target

No matter the other exigencies of the hour, it is Israel that is the true target of Satan and his minions in the high places of Ephesians 6: 12. The violent organization Black Lives Matter, despite the media trying to make it look like a force for righteousness in correcting past wrongs, is an anti-Semitic evil based upon so-called liberation theologyWe heard the thrust of that theology when Jeremiah Wright, Barack Obama’s pastor in Chicago, told God to God D**** America before the presidential election of 2008.

It is Israel that Satan is aiming at, ultimately. Bible prophecy culminates first with Antichrist declaring himself God in the temple in Jerusalem. He next leads an attack on Jerusalem when he is let out of the bottomless pit at the end of the millennial reign of Christ.

Israel, America’s Saving Grace

This brings us to America’s second reason for existence—toward the purpose of accomplishing God’s great prophetic plan. In my view, this use of the phenomenally powerful American nation is among the most profound indicators we can find that America, indeed, is in prophecy. And, I believe that our nation being in prophecy includes God using it to be midwife in Israel’s modern birth into the land promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob those thousands of years ago.

President Donald J. Trump has been a friend to Israel like no president since Harry S. Truman. This was a stark change from the anger and disrespect with which the Obama administration treated God’s chosen nation.

Genesis 12:1–3 is still in effect. I have to believe that this counts significantly in God’s great economy for explaining why both Mr. Trump and America continue to survive the most horrendous spiritual/supernatural assault yet endured on an American president and this nation.

So, all things considered, it is permitted to be America-centric in the matter of peering into Bible prophecy on the immediate horizon, I am convinced. Continue to pray the prayer of 2 Chronicles 7:14 and to hold fast to Titus 2:13 and Luke 21:28. Our redemption is drawing near.

Kneeling for Peace and Safety

Detroit Police Chief Todd Bettison took a knee when confronted by a group of protesters of George Floyd’s death at the hands of a Minneapolis police officer. Bettison complied with the enraged protesters’ demands, later saying he did so for “tactical reasons,” apparently since a kneeling policeman threatens no action against anyone. Bettison said he did so because he “didn’t want any violence.”

The performance was against police protocol to be ready to put down actions of unruly gatherings that threaten public harm.

It was all quite ironic since Bettison, a black man, was kneeling before a mob that included a number of white people.

Again, his purpose was, he said, to prevent violence. It was a noble gesture, I suppose, since it seemed to work in that instance. Detroit, of all places, seems to have avoided some of the extreme acts of destruction and anarchy of other inner cities.

Minneapolis, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, and others didn’t fare so well. Seattle, of course, was completely taken over in one section of downtown by anarchists who demanded extortion money from business owners and even residents to “protect” them in the absence of cops, who abdicated even their precinct headquarters to the gun-toting mob.

Abdication of individual rights quickly turned into kneeling before the people who are determined to break the nation into individual “protectorates.” I use the term facetiously, of course.

These extortionists and destroyers of law and order are following the dictates of the minions that direct them. Satan is the lawless one at the head of all such activity, regardless of the noble purposes within which the destroyers try to deceptively couch their protestation.

There is a place in America for protests—for free speech against perceived or actual wrongs. The Constitution provides that protection to individuals and to groups of peaceful protesters.

But it is peace that is disturbed—is taken away—when the mob mentality takes over and lawlessness prevails.

When violence ensues if others don’t kneel before them and their “causes”—this is iniquity of the first order. This is lawlessness.

We see God’s thoughts on iniquity, the biblical synonym for lawlessness, throughout His Word.

And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. (Matthew 24:12)

Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. (1 John 3:4)

For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is taken out of the way. (2 Thessalonians 2:7)

And then will I declare to them, “I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.” (Matthew 7:23)

It can be conjectured, I think, whether the lawlessness we are witnessing is bringing about the cry for peace and safety prophesied for the time leading up to the day of the Lord—the time when the Age of Grace will end. This will be the moment of the Rapture.

For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. (1 Thessalonians 5:2–3)

The officer in Detroit was kneeling as a symbolic cry for peace and safety for the people he was supposed to be protecting.

Santa Barbara Mayor Cathy Murillo attended a protest at which she did not agree to calls by protesters to take a knee. The mob became unruly and the crowd refused to allow her to speak. Two days later, she took a knee during the Pledge of Allegiance at city council meeting, but her action was rejected as “an encore performance.”

But the most despicable act for purpose of political pandering, in my view, came when Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi led House and Senate Democrats in a group kneel at the Capitol’s Emancipation Hall. It was a blatant statement against constitutional law and order yet perpetrated by an official at that level of federal government. It showed disdain for men and women in law enforcement who die every year to protect us from those who would make us kneel before them.

And make no mistake; it is indeed a thin, blue, line (law enforcement) between us and the tyrants who want to enslave Americans—enslavement, the history of which is the very thing this current kneeling nonsense is supposed to show solidarity against.

The following article excerpt offers a bit of hope for the nation in standing against the kneeling, if I may put it that way.

The ritual [kneeling in solidarity /protest] has caught on and people from around the world are now following suit…

Though the murder of George Floyd is universally condemned, not everyone who supports the fight against racism agrees with taking a knee. Lily Mei, the first Asian-American and the first woman mayor of Fremont California, was addressing a protest on Tuesday when the crowd called for her to take the knee.

“Taking a knee is something that I’m not going to be doing,” she told the crowd.

She explained her decision… “I have been asked why I will not kneel at events like the one from earlier today,” Mei wrote. “Because of my faith, I will never kneel to anyone but God. You will see me kneel in church, but you will not ever see me kneel at any other event except in prayer.”

This statement of faith was also expressed by Georgia State Trooper O’Neal Saddler, who was allegedly asked to kneel during a demonstration in Hartwell.

“If I didn’t have any respect, I wouldn’t [be here],” Saddler explained. “I was supposed to be out of town this weekend with my wife. I took off today, this weekend, but I’m out here to make sure y’all are safe.”

He added, “Don’t go there with respect, OK? I have much respect, but I only kneel for one person.”

Someone in the crowd replied: “And that’s God,” which the trooper confirmed: “God.”

This is Georgia State Trooper O’Neal Saddler. He was asked to kneel today, and this was his response.

God Bless him! (“Rabbis Agree: Kneel Before No One Except God,” Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz, June 9, 2020, Breaking Israel News)

People of America and the world take heed. Don’t kneel before the lawlessness perpetrated by the lawless one—Satan. Kneel only before the One Who truly has the keys to peace and safety, to death and hell, to salvation.

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:10–11)

Racial Strife in Prophecy

I remember as a teenager my dad telling me that Papa (his father, whom we grandchildren called “Daddy James”) said that one day there would be a great racial war in America. My grandfather, who was, among many other things, a school teacher and Pentecostal preacher in south Arkansas, apparently was well known in the region and was sought out for his opinion and advice by politicians and many others. His assessment was that the treatment being given black people would one day come back to haunt the nation.

I heard the story many times from my father and from others within our family on the James side. I didn’t pay a lot of attention to the memories of those stories at age fifteen, even during the 1957 integration crisis at Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas.

That crisis seemed to sort of work itself out, with a lot of help from President Dwight D. Eisenhower and a national guard that the president took out from under the command of Governor Orval Faubus.

As a tenth grader, the racial things just didn’t register very strongly with me. There was complete segregation at the time in my hometown, and Benton High School seemed a continent away from the epicenter of the great controversy of integration vs segregation—although my high school was no more than twenty-five miles from Central High in Little Rock.

The current racial crisis, as I view it as a septuagenarian, finally brings into focus the forward thinker man Daddy James apparently was…

I don’t know how much Bible prophecy played into his thinking. I just knew him when I was a teenager. He died in 1958 and, to me, he was kind of a grumpy old guy with thick, white, tousled hair and white, bushy eyebrows. He was a big, burly, man who sat around at 80-something and grumbled in curmudgeon fashion at us youngsters whenever we tried to get into his violin case in one corner of the room where his favorite chair sat. He was a gifted musician and artist.

I have to think, now, that his observations were somewhat inspired. I’ve always been told that Daddy James was a genius, with few social graces—of which he didn’t wish to indulge, at any rate, because he was inwardly turned.

He was quite the Bible student, family and friends said. This makes me wonder whether Bible prophecy played deeply into his pontification during the rare times he cared to wax eloquent on America’s future racial problems.

Whether he possessed a degree of prescience I don’t know. But here we are, and there is a great racial divide that could break into a civil war of sorts. This especially since of the most volatile areas of the country have governors and mayors who are thinking about defunding police departments, and even about completely doing away with them, in order to correct wrongs done to the black race.

Certainly corrections need to be made in ways that would assure that racial profiling and bigotry are not allowed within police departments. What happened to George Floyd should never be allowed to happen again. But it will. It is inevitable. Whether through deliberate, hate-filled racial bigotry or simply a completely lawful act by a law enforcement official to apprehend someone suspected of a criminal act, it will happen again.

There are always going to be lawbreakers, and there are always going to be bigots. As the saying goes, you can’t legislate morality. You can make laws to enforce compliance, but only God can change spiritual hearts. He does so through the saving of souls one individual at a time.

To want to defund law enforcement is nothing short of insanity, unless we want complete anarchy to rule. And one being does indeed want this scenario.

Satan, of course, is the personage stirring the pot of racial hatreds. He and his minions, both demonic and human, are active. Their chief aim is to bring America into the globalist order for the wind-up of the age, to establish his man, Antichrist, on the platform of control Lucifer the fallen one wants.

Satan’s hatred for humanity is infinitely greater than the leftists’ hatred for President Donald Trump. And this president is the target at the center of this crisis—the one I guess Gideon Johnson James—Daddy James—somehow foresaw.

Or maybe he just took the Word of Jesus, Himself, and extrapolated the evil that he perceived to be on its way to become an incendiary bomb that would explode near the time Christ would return.

I kind of sense that Daddy James read the following and cogitated quite a bit on the things within.

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. (Matthew 24:7)

It is stunning, regarding Jesus’ prophecy here. We are experiencing these very symptoms of things the Lord foretold for the very end of the age. They are part of the convergence we have been experiencing for some time during these past several years.

He said there will be famines, meaning famines of unusual dimension and cause. Jesus always spoke in terms that indicated things He prophesied will be far beyond normal levels.

The African continent and some Asian and other areas are experiencing a likelihood of growing famine. This growing probability of famine is the result of the second thing Jesus said in this prophetic verse. There is pestilence. Pestilence in the form of disease runs rampant in those areas of the world mentioned. And, as we know, pestilence in the form of the Wuhan virus is running rampant throughout the world as well.

But, beyond this, pestilence in the form of locust swarms, and even swarms of deadly hornets, the likes of which haven’t been seen since ancient times, are denuding the agricultural lands that feed the populations affected.

All the while the famines and pestilences are devastating broad swaths of the world, the great human plague is developing that has at its center bigotry and racial hatred.

Jesus foretold that “nation shall rise against nation.”

The Greek word for “nation,” here, as we have seen before, is ethnos. This means “ethnic,” of course…race—i.e., races will rise up against other races.

Perhaps my grandfather didn’t have the gift of prophecy—certainly not in the sense of Old and New Testament prophets. There is no such gift today. One thing sure, though, our Lord did and does have that ability. It sure appears He was foretelling this very moment of racial strife.

This is, I believe, all to remind those of us who truly believe every Word in the Bible that His call to us must be near indeed.

For when you see all these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your head, for your redemption draws near. (Luke 21: 28)

A Nation Divided…

Never have the words spoken by Jesus been more relevant than at this moment in the history of America:

And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. (Mark 3: 24–25)

We watched this past week policemen and even members of the National Guard kneeling before the protesters in cities they were supposed to protect and govern. Amongst the protesters were the vilest of people determined to tear America down. The police and military governing officials actually were kneeling before these people as well as before the peaceful, lawful protesters.

Such entities as Black Lives Mattersupposedly an organization to champion the rights of African-Americans in particular, were, meantime, joining with the communist-backed thugs called Antifa in destroying infrastructure of cities and injuring police officers sent to assure the safety of citizens.

Still, the police and even some National Guard members knelt in ”solidarity” with those who perpetrated outrageous, unlawful acts of violence.

This, Jesus said, is what happens when a nation or a household is divided in loyalty and purpose.

America certainly is divided. It is divided at its very core. It is divided along a number of lines—politically, ideologically, racially, and one other, the most important divide of all, spiritually.

The political-ideological divide is so obvious as to need no explanation. However, mention it I will.

We have witnessed the assaults from the politically leaning left ramp up hatred against the current president. It is joined by mainstream news and entertainment media in its hatred for the president and his determination to rebuild America toward its former, founding structure—based upon constitutional authority steeped in Judeo-Christian principles.

Most all of social media join in the effort to further divide America, censoring conservative thought, which wants an America as founded. More and more, only “progressive” thinking that declares there is no desire for governance that includes godly morality dominates the likes of Twitter, Facebook, and others.

Proponents who embrace tearing America down and making it an internationalist rather than national entity, through open borders and every other globalist-engendered way, kneel before the god of this world. That god of this world is Satan, the father of lies, who knows that the way to achieve his own determination to produce his Antichrist regime is to remove the roadblock of nationalism. Particularly, he wants such a powerful roadblock to his goal as the United States removed as quickly as possible and in whatever way necessary.

The devil seems to be having his way lately. The media does its bidding in reporting the dividing of America—or seemingly so. Every night, the cameras and media voices portray this nation as tearing itself apart.

The division, they imply, is rightfully destroying America’s unfair structure of law and order. Current structures of law and order, they want us to infer, needs defunding or whatsoever else necessary in order to show how much we agree with the likes of Black Lives Matter. Media relish the scenes of some among that law-and-order establishment kneeling before the protesters who have been taken over by the violent, anti-American anarchists.

Satan, too, relishes the scenes, no doubt. He knows Jesus’ words are true: “A kingdom or house divided against itself cannot stand.”

The devil has half the country agreeing with having those assigned to protect us against the deadly destructiveness of anarchy kneeling before the anarchists.

The divide is there at every juncture of American life. We are divided right down the middle politically, ideologically, and racially, it seems. But it is the spiritual divide that’s most virulent.

It seems that fully half the nation, including most of the Millennials, has been deluded through decades of anti-American, anti-God inculcation. The education system has been corrupted so that most every higher educational administration has avowed communist or atheist teachers and professors at its core. This is considered a good thing by those on the left, because Thomas Jefferson said there must be separation of church and state. Only Jefferson meant no such thing, as anyone who sincerely examines his statement to the minister in his letter will conclude.

So much of America today, rather than standing, is kneeling before the anti-God forces of Satan’s planning for the globalist regime to come.

There is a remedy. God always provides a way out of a sin-strapped predicament. Let’s look at Jesus’ words in totality in the matter of a house divided.

And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house. (Mark 3: 24–27)

America is in a state of division. Satan has all of his agencies, both human and demonic, working in one direction to bring the nation down so he can complete his one-world order. He must disarm the nation by defunding the protective services through doing away with the Second Amendment and the right to bear arms.

Half the nation, it seems, is kneeling before these forces of evil. The answer to our dire predicament is to do the same. We, who call upon the name of Jesus Christ, must kneel also. We must kneel before our Lord and invoke again the prayer as instructed by the Heavenly Father. As we approach election this November, it is imperative that we heed and do as instructed.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)

We are not naïve. Our beloved nation and the world of nations will eventually fall to the global scheme Satan and his minions are working day and night to bring into being. The satanic, global order is there in Bible prophecy. But our prayers and efforts at the voting booth and in other ways can delay the devil’s implementation of his hellish scheme.

When the Church is called by Christ (Revelation 4:1) in the Rapture (1 Corinthians 15:51–55 and 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18), the world of rebels, sadly, will get their abominable New World Order. Let us be salt and light to the world until that glorious moment.

Post-Rapture Rage

Pat Robertson was once heard to say on his TV program that there couldn’t be a sudden disappearance of millions of people. That would cause such chaos and carnage that such a thing just couldn’t happen. I paraphrase, but that was very close to his declaration.

He said that it would mean cars would have massive accidents, airplanes would crash, and the world would just come unglued. This was just not going to happen, he adamantly said.

I haven’t a clue of where he was going with this except to suspect that he was making known his genuine disdain for the teaching of Rapture—particularly of the pre-Trib Rapture. He consistently railed against the teaching at the time.

This isn’t meant to cast aspersions upon Mr. Robertson. But the words I remember him saying do open up my thinking regarding things that will begin taking place immediately when people all over the world suddenly vanish before the eyes of those left behind, or when people are missing the next day where it is nighttime and most people are sleeping when the Rapture occurs.

The matter that sparked this thinking also is the explosion of violence that erupted when George Floyd, an African-American, was killed by the Minneapolis policeman just over a week ago.

Video of the officer pressing his knee into the neck of Mr. Floyd until he died went viral. It appeared to be murder caught in the act—on video recording. Even the victim’s begging to be allowed to breathe before he died was there for the world to see and hear.

Like in the cases of violence in American cities in the previous incidents where black men were killed by actions of white policemen and by a “white Hispanic” man, the city of the killing, Minneapolis, exploded in violence. The white-hot rage spread to many other large cities around America. Police vehicles were damaged and burned; the police precinct building near the scene of Mr. Floyd’s death was invaded and burned to the ground. The police fled the scene and left it to the anarchists for the most part.

Looters entered and stole all they could get, destroying buildings and businesses in the process.

Like in other cases of what was deemed police brutality, the media quickly, in my view, encouraged the violence by giving the rioters camera time and even moral support. The genuine expressions of protestation—the acts of the ones who lawfully assembled to express their anger—were lost in the anarchy that ensued.

Even CNN’s headquarters being targeted for destruction in Atlanta didn’t cause that media entity to come against the rioters to any meaningful extent. To my way of thinking, it was for that news organization, like for the anarchists, yet another opportunity to push the anti-American agenda they seem to champion.

This all, again, brought to mind the belief of those who have opinions on the Rapture—whether it will occur or is a prophetic event that will not happen.

Particularly, I’m interested in examining the opinions of those who believe the Rapture is going to occur, but who think it will have little effect on American life. It will, I’ve heard these say, hardly be noticed when it happens. Their reasoning is that there are so few “real Christians” that their numbers missing will have no significant effect.

It’s dumbfounding to think that those with such a view have witnessed the American inner cities go insane with rage over one incident and used that incident to burn and loot believe that the disappearance of millions will cause but a ripple. And factors even more traumatic than just the disappearance must be considered.

The first is the fact that every child, even those still in the womb, will be gone in that instant. We’ve gone over a number of times why this is so, as God’s very character is at stake. How can anyone believe that the national psyche will remain untouched—or touched very little—by such an occurrence?

Second, and even more importantly, the Holy Spirit will, in that moment remove as the Restrainer of evil, according to 2 Thessalonians 2. If people act as they have in the recent madness by burning their cities and looting at every opportunity, how will they react to the Rapture? Do these who think it will have little effect on society and culture really believe the anarchists won’t go completely insane with their consciences having been shed of all restraint?

We’ve seen, I believe, just a foretaste of what that post-Rapture time will be like immediately following Christ’s call to the Church. It is something for profound consideration. Would anyone want those they love to be left behind to suffer the throes of enragement witnessed within America’s cities the past week? The reality of that time will almost certainly be infinitely worse than what occurred following the outrageous killing of Mr. Floyd on the street in Minneapolis.

To avoid the post-Rapture rage, it is wise to accept pre-Rapture salvation through the grace-gift offer of the God who said:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY – By Bill Pierce

INTRODUCTION

PROPHECY is defined as: ‘A foretelling…a declaration of something to come. As God only knows future events with certainty, no being but God or some person informed by him [called a prophet], can utter a real prophecy. The prophecies recorded in Scripture, when fulfilled, afford most convincing evidence of the divine original of the Scriptures, as those who uttered the prophecies could not have foreknown the events predicted without supernatural instruction,’ (Noah Webster, 1828). In the last study—THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS, we learned that the entire Holy Bible testifies of Jesus Christ, and that according to the declaration of the angel in the scriptures, “the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy” (Revelation 19:10). Therefore when Jesus warned about changing “the words of the book of this prophecy” (Revelation 22:18-21) he could have been speaking of the entire Holy Bible, and not only the book of Revelation. There are many prophecies to be found in the entire volume of the scriptures—including both the “first testament” (Hebrews 9:15, 18) and the “new testament” (Hebrews 9:15).

‘More than a fourth of the Bible is predictive prophecy. Approximately one-third of it has yet to be fulfilled. Both the Old and New Testaments are full of promises about the return of Jesus Christ. Over 1,800 references appear in the Old Testament, and seventeen Old Testament books give prominence to this theme. Of the 260 chapters in the New Testament, there are more than 300 references to the Lord’s return—one out of every thirty verses. Twenty-three of the twenty-seven New Testament books refer to this great event. For every prophecy on the first coming of Christ, there are eight on Christ’s second coming’—Your Future, George Sweeting.

The website—https://www.accordingtothescriptures.org/prophecy/353prophecies.html, lists 356 old testament prophecies about the first coming of the Lord Jesus Christ which were all fulfilled. See also http://www.clarifyingchristianity.com/m_prophecies.shtml.

GOD KNOWS ALL THINGS!

SCRIPTURE: ‘Appropriately, and by way of distinction, the books of the Old and New Testament; the Bible…bound in a single volume’ (Noah Webster, 1828).

God alone knows the future—The Holy Bible is the only book in the world containing true prophecy. Comparing the time when he saw the Lord Jesus glorified on the mount and heard “a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him” (Matthew 17:5), Peter wrote: “We [who believe the scriptures] have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost” (2Peter 1:19-21). Amos declared: “Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets” (Amos 3:7). God has given mankind one Holy Bible in the universal language of English. This Holy Bible contains all of his words and the prophecies that God has foreordained for men to know. Faithful believers—like those who were noble among the Thessalonians, receive the word of God, “not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God” (1Thessalonians 2:13). By reading, studying, and meditating on the word of God, we know that the expectation of the believer “shall not be cut off” (Proverbs 23:18; 24:14), because we know that everything God reveals to us in his “sure word of prophecy” (2Peter 1:19) will come to pass!

Be not deceived by the supernatural—The scripture tells us that, “There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification [‘The act of making known, or of communicating ideas to another by signs or by words, by any thing that is understood, particularly by words.’]” (1Corinthians 14:10). God warns and commands his children: “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world” (1John 4:1). Should I ever hear a voice speaking words contrary to the scripture from a cloud, I would know that it was not from God!

Be not deceived by any religion—‘There are well over 4,000 different religions in the world today…having a combined total of nearly 10 million adherents…nearly 75 percent of the population belongs to one of five religions: Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and Judaism. These five religions are considered to be the most influential in the world and are often referred to as the “world religions” due to their size and influence’ (The Holy Books of World Religions, by Stephanie Hertzenberg). The books of the four non-Christian religions—the Quran, Torah, the Veda’s, and the received texts of the Buddha contain no prophecy! Sadly therefore, the followers of these false religions do not know where they came from, for what purpose they are living in the world now, and what eternity holds for them. They are the blind being led by the blind (Matthew 15:14). They are children of darkness (1Thessalonians 5:5). The Holy Bible also warns believers to avoid prognosticators (Isaiah 47:13), soothsayers (Daniel 2:27; Micah 5:12; Acts 16:16), astrologers (Isaiah 47:13), witches (Deuteronomy 18:10; 1Samuel 15:23; Galatians 5:20), diviners (Deuteronomy 18:10), enchantments (2Chronicles 33:6), familiar spirits and wizards (1Chronicles 10:13; Leviticus 19:31).

God’s prophecies are not predictions that may or may not come to pass. They are not like weather or stock market forecasts, which may be inaccurate. They are not based on astrology or speculation, the deceiving words of ‘spirit guides,’ or the pronouncements those who falsely call themselves prophets, such as: Nostrodamus, Edgar Cayce, or Jean Dixon, or even men and women in churches who claim to be prophets. Referring to the perfection [completion] of the word of God with the completion of the book of Revelation around 96AD, almost forty years earlier the apostle Paul prophesied: “Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail [‘To be extinct; to cease; to be entirely wanting; to be no longer produced’ (Noah Webster, 1828)]; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away [This is a reference to the supernatural knowledge that was given to the apostles before the word of God was perfected]. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part [Before The Holy Bible was perfected the Lord gave portions of prophecy to the apostles and prophets.] shall be done away” (1Corinthians 13:8-10). Therefore without the inspired prophecies in the word of God it is not possible for any of God’s creatures—man, angel, or devil, to know what will happen in the future! Such truth is a great blessing if you will think about it! Just think how miserable your life would be if you knew in advance every time you would be hurt, break an arm, have a car accident, or any other terrible thing; and there was nothing that you could do to prevent any of them? So if you really believe God alone knows the events of the future, then the truth of the word of God will make you free from the deceiving lies of false prophets, false teachers, false preachers, and all kinds of devilish deceptions, apprehensions, and imaginations (John 8:31-32).

The prophecies of holy scripture are immutable—IMMUTABLE means: ‘Unchangeableness; the quality that renders change or alteration impossible; invariableness. Immutability is an attribute of God. Bible prophecies are the absolutely true and immutable declarations of Almighty God whose “understanding is infinite” (Psalm 147:5)! As a Bible believer it is a great comfort to understand how God has made our hope of eternal salvation through Jesus Christ, “both sure and steadfast” by “two immutable things” (Hebrews 6:17-20). God has confirmed his counsel [his word] with an oath [a solemn declaration].

The eternal counsel of God—“Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure” (Isaiah 46:9-10; 45:21). Because “All scripture is given by inspiration of God” (2Timothy 3:16-17), “that cannot lie” (Titus 1:2), and “the scripture cannot be broken” (John 10:35), the “LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect. The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations” (Psalm 33:10-11; Proverbs 19:21; 21:30).

FOREKNOWLEDGE WITHOUT PREDESTINATION—The truth that our great God knows “all his works from the beginning of the world” (Acts 15:18) does not interfere with man’s free will choices whatsoever! Although God knows what every man will do, and how he will react to the calling of the gospel of Christ, God predestines no one to belief or unbelief! God gives all men the “power” to freely receive or reject the Lord Jesus Christ (John 1:12-13). Calvinism has a greatly mistaken view of the character of our great merciful God, and also about the doctrine of predestination. These things will be discussed in more detail in a future post we will call: CHOSEN.

THE FIRST AND THE LAST

The prophet Isaiah declared: “Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation” (Isaiah 12:2). The LORD JEHOVAH became Isaiah’s salvation when “the Word” [Jesus Christ] who “was God” (John 1:1), “was made flesh” (John 1:14). Declaring the same miraculous event, the apostle Paul wrote: “God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory” (1Timothy 3:16). Both the LORD JEHOVAH and the Lord Jesus Christ declared themselves to be the first and the last! This is entirely in agreement with other scriptures. Jesus said, “I and my Father are one” (John 10:30)…making himself “God” (John 10:33). Jesus “said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God” (John 5:18). Jesus Christ “thought it not robbery to be equal with God” (Philippians 2:5-6).

JEHOVAH’S DECLARATION—Isaiah the prophet wrote: “Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God” (Isaiah 44:6).

JESUS CHRIST’S DECLARATION—When the Lord Jesus Christ appeared to the apostle John, he said, “I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last…And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last (Revelation 1:10-11, 17). And in the last chapter the Lord Jesus again declared: “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last” (Revelation 22:13).

God’s first prophecy warned of the curse of death—After God created everything to support and supply man with all his needs, we know that “God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them” (Genesis 1:1-27) on the last day of creation, for another scripture says, “For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is” (Exodus 20:11). And when he had finished the creation, “God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day” (Genesis 1:31).

The first prophecy was a warning to Adam: “And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed…And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die” (Genesis 2:8, 16-17).

God’s last prophecy promises a blessing to all believers—The last prophecy in the scriptures is found in the last two verses of the Holy Bible where the Lord Jesus Christ proclaims the last prophecy of his coming for his church (1Thessalonians 4:16-18; 1Corinthians 15:51-53). The Lord Jesus said: “He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen” (Revelation 22:20-21). This is a wonderful prophecy for all the believers who are “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:13).

SIX FINAL KINGDOMS OF THIS WORLD

Prophesied in the book of Daniel—History has already verified that Daniel’s prophecies about five of the six final world empires (Daniel 2) are accurate. The last kingdom of this world—the kingdom of the antichrist [“the man of sin…the son of perdition” (2Thessalonians 2:3)] is yet to come.

The prophecies in Daniel chapter two concern “the times of the Gentiles” (Luke 21:24). God uses the wicked as a sword in his hand (Psalm 17:13-14). Many times God chooses to use heathen men to fulfill his purpose. For example the Lord used Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon (Jeremiah 27:6); Pharaoh, king of Egypt (Exodus 9:16); and Judas Iscariot, king over the “bottomless pit” (John 6:70; Revelation 9:11; 11:7; 17:8).

Daniel also prophesied accurate details of the events that happened during the four hundred years between the last old testament book and the first new testament book (Daniel 11:1-35). Daniel chapter eleven concludes with prophecy about the final world kingdom of antichrist (Daniel 11:36-45). Even though the Lord Jesus verified Daniel’s prophecy of “the abomination of desolation” (Matthew 24:15; Mark 13:14), which shall stand in the holy place of the rebuilt temple in the middle of the seven year long “time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jeremiah 30:7), some unbelieving detractors claim that the book of Daniel was written after the events occurred! Such a lie would fit well with the ridiculous fantasy that the destruction of the temple by Titus the son of a Roman governor in AD 70 fulfilled all the prophecies concerning soon to come tribulation period called, “the time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jeremiah 30:7).

PROPHECIES OF THE FIRST AND SECOND COMING

Excellent source—We cannot afford the space to list prophecies here. For those who want more information, I suggest that you go to the article, ‘356 Prophecies Fulfilled in Jesus Christ.’ For a list of 119 future prophecies that will certainly be fulfilled, see the article, ‘What will the Future Bring? A Prophetic Timeline of the Future,’ and ‘Last Days Prophecies’ on the same excellent website (https://www.accordingtothescriptures.org/prophecy/353 prophecies.html).

With God all things are possible—At his first coming the Lord Jesus Christ fulfilled over 300 old testament prophecies. Forty eight of these are listed in the article: ‘PROOF GOD EXISTS: Indisputable Proof the Bible is True (www.makinglifecount.net).’ This article goes on to say, ‘Jesus fulfilled more than 300 prophecies in the Bible. Peter Stoner in Science Speaks (Chicago: Moody Press, 1963) calculated the probability of one man fulfilling 48 prophecies to be one in 10 to the 157th power [That is one with 157 zeros after it: a very large number.]…This could not have happened by mere chance. Only a supernatural God could have inspired and fulfilled the prophecies in the Bible. The evidence is so compelling that it should convince you beyond a reasonable doubt. God left His fingerprints on these prophecies so that you could “figure out” that He is real and the Bible is true.’

In an article titled, Silver Dollars All Over Texas! by Bill Perkins, he wrote: ‘There are over 300 prophecies in the Bible of Jesus’ first coming, all having come true. What would be the odds of just eight of these prophecies coming true?

(1) Messiah to be born in Bethlehem. (Micah 5:2)

(2) Messiah betrayed for thirty pieces of silver. (Zechariah 11:12-13)

(3) Messiah’s clothes would be gambled away. (Psalms 22:18)

(4) Messiah’s hands and feet would be pierced. (Psalms 22:16)

(5) Messiah’s bones would not be broken. (Psalms 34:20)

(6) Messiah would be born in the tribe of Judah.  (Isaiah 37:31)

(7) Messiah would be called from Egypt. (Hosea 11:1)

(8) Messiah would be buried in a rich man’s grave. (Isaiah 53:9)

The odds of all eight coming true are virtually incomprehensible! Consider this illustration—Suppose we filled the entire State of Texas with 100 trillion silver dollars. That would make the entire state about two feet deep in coins. Then we mark only one coin. Next we stir-up the state full of coins so they are thoroughly mixed and random. The marked coin could be anywhere in the state in the two foot deep coins. Finally we blindfold a man and let him travel the entire state to choose one random coin. What would be the odds of him finding the marked coin in one try? He would have the same chance the prophets had for those eight prophecies being fulfilled. Which is virtually no chance. But that was only eight of the over 300 prophecies! Figuring the odds of fulfilling all 300 Bible prophecies is ridiculously astronomical. Simply incalculable—except that the real author of these prophecies knew the future. The God who created the universe out of nothing was in total control and knows the past, present AND future.’

GAMBLERS WILL LOSE THEIR SOULS

From the Popular Mechanics website: https://www.popularmechanics.com/space/a27259/ how-many-particles-are-in-the-entire-universe/, we learn that there are 3.28 times ten to the eightieth power [that is 3.28 with eighty zeros after it] particles [protons, electrons, and quarks] in the known universe. Therefore the chance of choosing one particular particle out of all the particles in the entire universe is much greater—much more likely, than a man choosing one out of 100 trillion silver dollars! It would be inconceivable and absurd—opposed to manifest truth and inconsistent with reason or the plain dictates of common sense, for anyone to think that the prophecies of the Almighty God could have been chance events! Our great God the LORD declared: “Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them” (Isaiah 42:9). In reference to the powerball lottery, a Forbes article by Vanessa McGrady on 01-08-2016 says, ‘The probability of winning the big prize is 1 in 292,201,338.’ That number is about 3 times ten to the eighth power. The chance of a man winning the powerball lottery therefore is ten times greater than finding one silver dollar among 100 trillion silver dollars. Jesus declared: “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Matthew 16:26). According to the scriptures a man who rejects the Lord Jesus Christ and his gospel through unbelief will certainly lose his soul and “shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death” (Revelation 21:8). There is absolutely no chance for you to “escape the damnation of hell” (Matthew 23:33) if you remain an unbeliever!

READ THE WORD OF GOD FOR YOURSELF!

Where to begin—The gospel according to John has been the source of faith and salvation for a great number of people, including myself. All believers are saved “by grace…through faith” (Ephesians 2:8-9). John explained that he wrote his book to give the reader faith to believe and have life. Salvation is possible to the reader, because “faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17). John wrote his book to give faith to the reader. John wrote: “And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name” (John 20:30-31). Also, in his first epistle, John wrote: “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God” (1John 5:13). God gives every true believer, who is “born of the Spirit” (John 3:8) the internal witness of his Spirit: “Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit” (1John 4:13): “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God” (Romans 8:16).

Believe and be saved!—Perhaps until this very time, Satan, “the god of this world” has blinded your mind to “the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God” (2Corinthians 4:3-4). If you are still breathing in “the land of the living” (Psalm 27:13), God promises you, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Romans 10:9); for the “gospel of Christ…how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scripturesis the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth” (Romans 1:16-17; 1Corinthians 15:3-4). The terrified keeper of the prison at Philippi said to Paul and Silas, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house” (Acts 16:25-31).

Noah’s Day in Microcosm

Violence once again has reared its ugly head. It seems more and more that times like Noah’s can be observed in America, supposedly the most civilized nation of the West.

Of course, that perception is only shared by those who look at life around them with Pollyanna-ish delusion. Bless them; they see through eyes affixed on the good old days, not on the days as they are. They choose not to see that society and culture have changed—and not for the better.

The Lord Jesus Christ said: “And as it was in the days of Noah so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man” (Luke 17:26).

He went on to list all the things people will be doing when He next makes His presence known to the whole world. He foretold that mankind will be buying, selling, planting, building, marrying—doing all the things of life. The people alive at the time He next appears will be business as usual, for the most part.

I believe the prophecy indicates that few will pay attention to the true chaos going on when those of that generation are so busy with the daily activities of life.

Genesis 6 (which describes Noah’s day) gives us this prophetic signal Jesus said will be prevalent when He returns at the Rapture and, for that matter, at His Second Advent:

The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. (Genesis 6:11–13)

So there will be the two Americas at the time—if we consider America will still be a national entity. One side of America will be doing all the things of life—buying, selling, building, marrying, etc. The other side will be filled with violence, debauchery—evil of many sorts, like in Noah’s day.

Violence erupted once again in the streets of one of our larger cities on May 25 when a police officer appeared on video to literally murder a man he had in custody. Three other officers held off a crowd of people who shouted for the policeman to let the man breathe.

The man being held, an African-American who was arrested for trying to pass a counterfeit $20 bill, died of suffocation.

The officer will almost certainly be tried for the man’s death, and all four officers involved were instantly fired when the Minneapolis police chief watched the video.

The incident, as we all know, led to rioters and looters burning up police precinct buildings and stealing merchandise from several stores the looters had broken into.

Across the nation, in other large cities, rioters and professional anarchists like the thugs of Black Lives Matter set fires and damaged vehicles and businesses. It was all reminiscent of similar anarchy like in Ferguson, Missouri, Watts, and other such violent rampages of the distant and recent past.

America, as life is currently unfolding, could be seen as the days of Noah in microcosm.

The evil perpetrated by the rogue police officer, if things turn out to be the murder of his victim, the purveyors of violence such as the rioters and looters—and the terrors inflicted by the paid-for thugs who carryout anarchy to damage the nation, can’t be missed, even by the Pollyanna-ish among us. And, we should consider whether the COVID-19 pandemic, or coronavirus, or Wuhan virus, or whatever you want to call it, might have been allowed to wake this generation to the fact we are in times that signal Christ’s imminent intervention.

This pandemic has brought things to a standstill and made people take time to see, through fear-filled eyes, that carrying on life as usual in the most comfort-filled nation in the world has changed. Perhaps it is a supreme act of love from on high, forewarning that the most momentous event since Christ’s resurrection is on the verge of bringing the promised moment of the Rapture.

Surging Spirit of Antichrist

Questions continue about what is going on in all of this geopolitical and cultural/societal intrigue in terms of Bible prophecy. What does it all mean? Why such a divide? Why such rage and hatred? People want answers, and the answer is spiritual. It is all there in Bible prophecy. It is altogether a major indicator of how near we are to the end of this Age of Grace.

The spirit of Antichrist is indeed surging. It’s most revealed through the globalist mantra—that anyone who is in denial about climate change is, in effect, an apostate within their worldview.

But, in fact, another spirit of denial is the true obstacle to a pristine earth.

It is those who make such accusations against Bible-believing Christian, climate-change deniers who are at the heart of earth’s many problems. Chiefly, the Antichrist spirit denies the Lord Jesus Christ and His very existence. These are the true deniers—those who believe and proclaim that they, not Christ, have a right to control the destiny of this planet He created.

John the apostle and author of Revelation—the vision of the Apocalypse—presents what God gave Him to tell us about the Antichrist spirit.

And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.” (1 John 4:3)

Deniers of Jesus Christ—the powers and principalities in high places, those human minions and supernatural minions—and their incessant strategies and determination to keep God out of things manifest the spirit of Antichrist at an accelerating rate.

Christians are battling the Antichrist spirit at the highest levels—the evil within both human and demonic minions. Our would-be rulers (those denying, through being influenced by, the anti-Christ spirit that God should reign) hold powerful positions within the top strata of globalist echelons. It all revolves around worldwide satanic influence on matters involving the so-called deep state. It is Ephesians 6:12 we’ve been watching in action. Nationalism must go…boundaries must be erased. Sovereignty must be eliminated so global government by the elites might rule.

Once again, it’s good to look at the Apostle Paul’s warning:

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:12)

These powers that be in high places of government view the US as the problem rather than the answer to conflict throughout the world. It is the richest, most powerful national entity to ever exist, so must be brought down, its assets given to the global elite to use for their own purposes.

The current presidential administration has, in the obviously enraged opinion of the deep-state and leftist minions, sought to change the way things have supposed to be progressing since post WW II. The global order as run by the high echelon of the diplomatic types and the people with political power have had that drive for ultimate power disrupted. America is, in this internationalist, no borders, view, supposed to be in place to fund the UN and all of its globalist agenda plans.

Making America Great Again is not in their blueprint. This nation, therefore, is the chief obstacle, nation-wise, to Satan’s plans in forming the one-world order he wants to set up for the coming Antichrist. That’s why we’ve endured insane rage while the powers in high places strive to get power back into the formerly established order by getting rid of this president.

The satanic assault against American society and culture can’t be missed by the spiritually attuned. Minions in high places have in recent years inflicted tremendous deleterious effects upon the nation’s moral fiber established by the founding fathers and by Christian church influences. America’s public, and even private, educational systems have become completely corrupted, first by the evolutional model, then by the Marxist educators at every level of the public school system.

The rage makes clear the existence of the Antichrist spirit in high places that continues to do everything to bring America and the world into the configuration Satan wants to establish for his soon-coming Antichrist platform. At the heart of the minions’ (both human and supernatural) effort is destruction of moral values and norms based upon Judeo-Christian precepts/concepts. Cultures and societies throughout the world—especially in America—must be altered drastically to pave the way for the coming Antichrist regime.

These minions in the high places of wickedness are even now using the so-called pandemic in their incessant drive to bring about their version of Heaven on earth. They will succeed for a time, but not until the Holy Spirit as Restrainer of evil removes as God’s prophetic Word foretells in 2 Thessalonians 2.

Just as we witness the Antichrist spirit surging, we, as born-again believers should have a surging sense of excitement and comfort. Redemption is near (Titus 2:13).

Ezekiel’s Malefactors on the Move

News today continues to prove Bible prophecy truth. Stage-setting for fulfillment of things foretold to come moves forward.

In the realm of setting the stage for the horrific wars that are predicted at the windup of the days leading to Christ’s return, the prophet Ezekiel’s words are front and center:

And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: Gomer, and all his bands: and many people with thee. (Ezekiel 38:1–6)

Dr. Harry A. Ironside, one of the most recognized of those who had a literal, futurist view of Bible prophecy, wrote the following early in the twentieth century:

In the last days, the final head of the Russian people will look with covetous eyes upon the great developments in the land of Palestine. They will determine that Russia must have her part of the wealth there produced. Consequently, we have the picture of a vast army, augmented by warriors from Persia, Cush, Phut, marching down toward Palestine.

Dr. Jack Van Impe, who recently went to be home with the Lord, wrote the following about Ezekiel’s prophecy:

There is no need to marshal the scholars of the past to confirm the place or purpose of this war. Ezekiel explained:

“After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.” (Ezek. 38:8).

What a clear and up-to-date description of Israel! She is certainly the land that is brought back from the sword—gathered out of many people—a former wasteland—brought forth out of the nations. (“The Coming War with Russia,” Dr. Jack VanImpe, Perhaps Today magazine)

There is little question that Russia is the nation or people of Rosh, as Ezekiel terms it, which will be the lead nation in the Gog-Magog assault. Its chief prince, i.e., its leader, will be the leader of the coalition that will invade Israel. The reason, according to the prophet, will be to take “spoil.” That is, they will desire to plunder Israel’s wealth.

It is rational to ask what could induce a coalition of nations to conspire to do such a thing in these days of nuclear weaponry. Israel reportedly has one of the top nuclear arsenals in terms of number of weapons. It would be foolhardy to attack as described in Ezekiel 38 and 39. This is especially a relevant question since Israel has demonstrated on many occasions that it will defend its territory. And, in modern times, it has never lost!

Ezekiel gives the reason Gog gets the evil thought. It is apparently because Israel will be dwelling in “unwalled villages.” That is, it will be without defense, as walls were for the defense of nations in so-called Bible times.

But there is the factor also of that matter of Gog’s “evil thought” including, apparently, the knowledge that there are “spoils” to be garnered by such an attack. It must be that the “spoil” is desperately needed for some reason.

Now we consider the way things are shaping in the Middle East in these times. One must concede they are strange, I think. Never has there been a world completely shut down because of something proven to be not much more than a flu bug with somewhat of an extra bite.

So, with these strange times and all other considerations we’ve discussed in these commentaries many times, it is prudent to ask whether the Gog-Magog war might be in view.

It is my opinion that this assault won’t take place until after the Rapture of the Church. My belief revolves around a number of factors covered before. Space here doesn’t allow that we go over that territory again.

So what do we see in the news at the moment that might be setting the stage for the Gog-Magog war, which the Lord Himself will win for Israel?

A quick look at the three major players in that coalition and one more minor nation involved in the attack will help clue us.

The first news item involves Iran, Israel’s chief Middle East enemy of dangerous proportion. Iran, of course, covers much of what was Persia in Ezekiel’s time.

Iran will support any nation or group that fights Israel, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Wednesday, ahead of this week’s annual observance of Quds (Jerusalem) Day to express support for Palestinians.

We will support and assist any nation or any group anywhere who opposes and fights the Zionist regime, and we do not hesitate to say this,” Khamenei said in a post on his official English-language Twitter account.

Iran, Israel’s arch-enemy in the Middle East, has been a key supporter, along with Russia, of President Bashar al-Assad during Syria’s civil war, sending military advisers as well as material and regional Shi’ite militias. The second story brings into view a major and a minor player as listed by Ezekiel. These two nations, close in proximity in military affairs, prove they’re already closing in on conflict that might bring Libya totally into the Turkish orbit. The way things go with strongmen bullying and bashing their way around in the region, it might be just a matter of time before joint battle strategy is forthcoming.

Turkey has warned that attacks on its interests in Libya by renegade military commander Khalifa Haftar’s forces will have “grave consequences” after advances by the country’s Turkish-backed government.

Ankara has provided military support to the internationally recognized Government of National Accord (GNA) in Libya, which has been battling to fend off a year-long offensive by Haftar’s forces to take control of the capital Tripoli.

Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Hami Aksoy on Thursday said Haftar’s Libyan National Army (LNA) had received warplanes with “foreign support” and that they had vowed to target Turkish positions in Libya with an air campaign.

“In the event Turkish interests in Libya are targeted, this will have very grave consequences,” Aksoy said on Thursday, adding that the LNA’s statements were “delusional.” (“Grave Consequences: Turkey Warns Libya’s Haftar Against Attacks | Turkey News, Al Jazeera May 21, 2020)

The third nation in the news will lead the coalition against God’s chosen people, according to Ezekiel. Russia, already strapped for cash because of falling petroleum and natural gas prices and myriad other economic woes, was hit harder by the COVID-19 crisis than has been reported.

MOSCOW (Reuters)—Russia’s economy could contract by more than 8% in the second quarter of 2020, central bank governor Elvira Nabiullina said on Friday, adding that the bank would revise its most recent gross domestic product forecast.

Nabiullina said cutting Russia’s benchmark interest rate by 100 basis points from 5.5% will be considered in June.

On inflation, Nabiullina said the bank’s year-end forecast was 3.8-4.8%, with peak annual inflation expected in the summer. (“Russian GDP Could Fall by More than 8% Second Quarter 2020, Nabiullina, May 22, 2020)

Russia’s Gross National Product figures are dismal and scheduled to get much, much worse. Israel is all but certain to pick up Russian clients in Europe and elsewhere because of tremendous finds in and around Israel. Could it all have to do with the “evil thought” the Russian leader of that day will have, thus bring Russia, Turkey (Togarmah), Iran (Persia), and Libya down over the mountains of Israel to take “great spoil”?

 Pandemic vs Abortion

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to rule the airwaves, cyberspace, and every facet of our lives. Every story coming across our TV or computer screens continues to scream with the Coronavirus onslaught that has condemned us, potentially, to death, and almost certainly, too, economic depression. The pandemic is all the media want us to think about, and most gladly oblige by adhering to the guidelines demanded by those experts such as Dr. Anthony Fauci.

The figures they parade before our near-panicked eyes are front and center each and every news cycle. One snapshot in time, as the pandemic progresses, presented the following as I perused the numbers. They are taken from a Google search.

United States cases: Updated May 17 at 10:20 AM local

Confirmed: 1,500,148 (+26,733)

Deaths: 89,498 (+1,261)

Recovered: 274,265

Global cases: Updated May 17 at 9:20 AM local

Confirmed: 4,658,651 (+95,193)

Deaths: 312,239 (+4,074)

Recovered: 1,703,322 (+54,047)

There is great alarm over the deaths among these statistics. The number of cases both in America and globally are all-consuming. However, the statistics of recoveries are downplayed to the point they are never mentioned in many newscasts or news postings.

Any death, as the president and all others consistently remind us, is too many. There is a race to move Heaven and earth in order to find a vaccine that will guarantee one cannot get the virus. That is a quest that is, almost all of the experts agree, something that can’t happen for at least another 18 months. Some say there will never be a vaccine found for these types of viral diseases because they mutate constantly. The common flu, for example, has shots but not true vaccines. The shots can lessen the severity of the flu in patients. No vaccine has been produced that guarantees people won’t get any strain of the flu.

Vaccines have been produced that are effective for measles, smallpox, polio, and other diseases but not for the viral illnesses. You will have to ask someone besides yours truly to find out why this is the case. I certainly can’t give you the answer. I just know it’s a fact.

This great, all-consuming concern for our lives, as we have seen, has a raging political agenda attached to it. We can’t open up the economies either of America or the world until that magical vaccine is found. This is the opinion of those such as Dr. Fauci and the CDC for the most part.

Yet no such vaccine is likely forthcoming, despite the efforts of those such as Bill Gates, who, many of our friends with a squinted, conspiratorial eye toward his efforts believe, intends to inject in all of us a tracking device, or worse.

There might develop flu-like shots to lessen severity, but a true vaccine such as in measles or smallpox isn’t likely to be produced.

The satanic influence of all this particularly strikes my suspicion-meter when thinking on how, while there is all this burning concern for making sure no one ever again gets a case of Coronavirus, the most vulnerable and helpless of our kind are given no such concern or protective effort – except for those who are concerned for the sanctity of life.

While we see the figures each and every news cycle of cases and deaths of COVID-19 victims, we never see the statistics of the infanticide we are deliberately allowing to be perpetrated.

Abortion in America has been consistently very near 1 million or more babies per year for decades. Statistics show a slight lessening over the last few years, but still the mark hovers around the 1 million mark. The last time I looked at it, the number since Roe v Wade was nearing 70 million.

The COVID-19 Nazis – I mean officials – have told us that the most vulnerable among us, in addition to the elderly and those with severe health problems, are people of color – mostly meaning those who are African Americans. This is of great concern to, particularly, the progressives, as they prepare their plans for how to twist things in order to get Trump removed from office. They want back the numbers among the darker races they’ve lost due to Trump’s efforts to advance their plight in America.

They blame him for numbers of deaths being so high among people of color, as they put it. The conclusion they make is, of course, ludicrous, as is so much they try to peddle.

In considering facts about concern for African Americans and the Coronavirus, we wonder where the great concern is in the matter of African American babies in the wombs of their mothers. By far, the greatest number of abortions are performed on African American fetuses. They are a minority, but the majority of abortions are performed on black children. Where is the compassion of the Party that claims to champion the black American voter base?

There is great concern to prevent COVID-19, but no concern for helpless children in the womb.

We don’t have to wonder what the Creator God of Heaven thinks about the Pandemic vs Abortion statistical inequity.

Here is what David, a man after God’s own heart, wrote under Holy Spirit Inspiration:

“For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfected; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them” (Psalms 139: 13-16).

I continue to believe that when the Rapture takes place and every womb is empty because those little ones are with Christ in that instant, God will have made a Statement about when life begins.
