God Gathering Gog-Magog

Many times I’ve remarked, after being informed of one prophetic development or another, something like: “Well…what can we expect at this late hour of the age? It’s all coming together just like it should.”

That’s almost a too-casual look on my part at these things we see happening that prove the truth of God’s prophetic Word. I haven’t, in making such a statement, fully grasped in every instance what is taking place at this late hour. At least, yours truly has been occasionally lax in totally understanding what’s taking place, to some extent. So I’ll say here that it’s my faux pas, not yours, that should be addressed and corrected.

Bottom line of this self-critique is that things are taking place not by natural, prophetic selection—the evolving events that build upon one another by happenstance. These things are actually orchestrated by the very hand of the One who foretold the matters involved. God is in the Heaven-ordained process of pulling all things together for the wrap-up of this quickly fleeting Age of Grace.

I could point to many areas that validate that this is taking place. However, one stands out profoundly.

The war Hamas started on October 7, which Israel is in the middle stages of finishing, seems to be the catalyst that’s galvanizing the final stage being set for the Gog-Magog battle (Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39). The Lord’s great hand of direction came starkly in view for me when the announcement that a minor player has just become part of the massive gathering of the major Gog-Magog players.

I don’t mean to trivialize that coming attack on God’s chosen people by likening it to a game of two teams opposing one another. Certainly that isn’t my intention. However, the whole of this thing called human creation and God’s dealing with us seems in some way to be a stupendous drama—a great play, that is, as the title of this article implies—directed by the very hand of God.

And what we see happening in and surrounding God’s chosen nation is unimpeachable proof, if we ever needed it, that He isn’t the existential God the agnostics claim, but a hands-on God beyond human comprehension.

And it isn’t the grand orchestration that so impresses me and any child of God. It is, rather, a more-or-less minor element He has just added to the drama He long ago told us about through Ezekiel that makes the goose bumps run up the back of the neck, because it shows just how very near we are to the finale of the great play that’s about to begin.

The “minor element” is the announcement given in the following news item:

MSN: Algerian parliament authorizes President Tebboune to support Gaza amid Israeli assaults

ALBAWABA- In a significant move, the Algerian Parliament has officially authorized President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to enter the conflict in support of Gaza, with a unanimous vote of 100/100.

This decision comes in response to the escalating Israeli massacres against the Palestinian population in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Algeria becomes the second Arab nation to declare official support for Palestine and to confront Israel. (“Algeria Votes to Go to War with Israel,” by CWR, November 3, 2023)

So why does this joining in by a minor Israel-hating, blood-vowed enemy invoke such a back-of-the-neck chill? The following helps us understand:

The key consideration is the content of Ezekiel 38 and 39. What features of these chapters indicate the timing of the invasion, its participants, and location?…

Magog occurs in the Old Testament on four occasions (Genesis 10:2; 1 Chronicles 1:5; Ezekiel 38:2; 39:6). It identifies a descendant of Japheth in the table of nations, which scholars trace to the ancient Scythians. These tribes lived in the region north of the Black Sea and some consider their territory stretched from Ukraine to Siberia. Further, Ezekiel describes Gog as “the prince of Rosh” (38:2, NASB), which also suggests a location in Russia, although the use of “Rosh” is debated…

Added to these are “Persia, Cush, and Put” (Ezekiel 38:5), as well as “Gomer and all his hordes” and “Beth-togarmah” (38:6). Persia is clearly modern Iran, another Islamic nation, whose name was changed to Iran in recent times. Cush and Put are more difficult to identify, as is Beth-togarmah. Scholars consider Cush is the nation of northern Sudan, an Islamic one, and Put is Libya, another Islamic (mainly Sunni) nation, and possibly includes Algeria and Tunisia because the ancient borders extended west beyond modern Libya. (“The Battle of Gog and Magog,” The Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry, https://www.foi.org/2021/12/10/the-battle-of-gog-and-magog/)

The fact that tiny Algeria—which is almost certainly a major constituent part of the ancient area known as “Put”—is now added to the jigsaw puzzle of the Gog-Magog invading horde shows that God’s great hand of control is at work. This confirms yet again that our Lord keeps every detail of His promises in every instance.

The detail we’re “looking up” for in particular is the Rapture of all believers in Jesus Christ. Here is how to be assured you will be a part of that tremendous rescue from this judgment-bound world.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9–10)

How Near Is the “Fullness of the Gentiles”?

During the course of my conversations with David Hitt, a close friend of many years, he interjected what I believe to be a most insightful consideration. His thinking involves the circumstances surrounding the Rapture, the restoration of Israel, and the possibility of the Rapture occurring during widespread devastation, perhaps a war—one like we see going on at present involving Israel and its hate-filled enemies.

The “fullness of the Gentiles” presented by Paul in Romans 11 has always been foremost in the minds of those who study from the pre-Trib view of Bible prophecy. What exactly does that phrase mean with regard to the time of the Rapture of the Church?

Here are David Hitt’s thoughts:

Isaiah 6 contains the well-known “Here I am.  Send me” passage in which Isaiah volunteers to convey God’s message to His people that they are hardened (deaf, blind, and without understanding).

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed. (Isaiah 6:8–10)

God not only informs His people that they are hardened and that He is the one hardening them, but also that He has hardened them to delay their repenting and being healed.

In Matthew 13, when the disciples ask Jesus why He speaks “to them” in parables, He quotes from Isaiah 6:

He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:” (Matthew 13:11–14)

In Acts 28, Paul also quotes Isaiah 6, reminding the local leaders of the Jews that they are hardened.

And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not. And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers, saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive: For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. (Acts 28:24–27)

Paul discloses for the first time a consequence of Israel’s hardening: the Gospel would be extended to the Gentiles:

Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it. (Acts 28:28)

However, both of these quotes (Matthew 13 and Acts 28) from Isaiah 6 stop short. They only address God’s hardening of Israel. Returning to Isaiah 6, beginning in verse 11, the prophet then begs God for an answer, and God gives it to him:

Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate…” (Isaiah 6:11)

God will lift Israel’s partial hardening during or just after a widespread devastation. This may be a great war, even a nuclear war given the extent and degree of damage. However, it may also be a direct act of God.  Note that the cities and the houses need not be in “the land” (the Promised Land). They may be in the land or elsewhere.  God continues His answer in verse 12:

And the Lord have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land. (Isaiah 6:12)

God gives five conditions that exist just before his people spiritually awaken: (condition 1) cities lie waste without inhabitant; (condition 2) houses are without people; (condition 3) the land is a desolate waste; (condition 4) the Lord removes men (better rendered in the ESV as “people”) far away; and (condition 5) the forsaken places are many in the midst of the land.

In the middle of describing utter devastation (conditions 1–3 and 5), God interjects an enigmatic condition 4: “and the Lord have removed people far away.” The Lord (in all caps) is Yahweh: the covenantal God, and thus the emphasis appears to be on the keeping of a covenant. “People” implies more than one people, i.e. Gentiles. This clause likely refers to the Rapture. Note that condition 5 mentions “forsaken places.” Being listed after condition 4, might God have forsaken them, the Rapture having happened? It’s an interesting thought.

The lack of an explanation for even 4, the Lord’s removal of people far away, makes it a mystery (something hidden).

Now, let’s look at Romans 11, in which Paul answers the question his earlier chapters begged: If Christ is the answer and the law is not, what about the Jews, to whom God had given the law? Has God turned His back on Israel?

I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying, Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life. But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. (Romans 11:1–4)

The answer is an emphatic “No!” God will save an elect remnant of Israel, and He will save them by grace, not the law. To keep the Gentiles from being feeling superior to the Jews, Paul goes on to say:

I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness? For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office: If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them. For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead? (Romans 11:11–15)

Then, after describing how the holy firstfruits of lump of dough renders the whole lump holy, how a holy root can render the entire tree holy, and how branches may be cut off and grafted onto a tree and thereby become holy, Paul reveals a mystery in verse 25:

For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.  (Romans 11:25)

The mystery Paul reveals is that the partial hardening of Israel’s elect will end when the “fulness of the Gentiles be (has) come in.”

So, let’s assemble what we have learned. Paul says in Romans 11:25 that Israel’s partial hardening will end when the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.  In Isaiah 6:11–12, God tells the prophet that He will end His hardening of His people proximate a widespread devastation, likely a great war or a direct act of God.  From these two statements, one concludes that the fullness of the Gentiles comes in on the precipice of or during a widespread devastation, after which God ends His partial hardening of Israel’s elect.

God has one last thing to say to Isaiah to answer his “How long, O Lord?” question:

But yet in [the land] shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof. (Isaiah 6:13)

This speaks of Daniel’s Seventieth Week or the Time of Jacob’s Trouble, commonly called the Tribulation.  The stump (the believing remnant of Israel) connects the holy root (Jesus) to the branches (believers) of the pruned and grafted tree (the body of Christ).  Thus, Israel will be reawakened, after which will be Daniel’s Seventieth Week, which reiterates what we’ve already known: the Rapture precedes Daniel’s Seventieth Week, but perhaps in a time of great tumult, even war.  It won’t be the Tribulation, but many believers may think it is.

******

The time of “the fullness of the Gentiles” must be very near, thinking on the signals of Christ’s return flashing all at once during this generation. To be sure to go to Jesus when He calls in the Rapture, you must do the following:

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9–10)

The End Is Not Yet

“World War III has begun.”

I’ve heard this statement from many sources lately—a good number of them have come from secular pundits like radio talk-show hosts and news commentary panelists. However, more and more, such declarations are coming from Christians who look at the issues and events of the day in light of Bible prophecy.

Indeed, things popping in the Middle East are more than enough to cause the entire world’s population to become angst-ridden. It does look as if the genie’s bottle of global war might have been uncorked.

Again, it isn’t the secular news commentators who elicit my interest in the World War III talk. It is the growing number of declarations by the Bible prophecy watchers that draws my attention.

And I mean no disrespect to or undue criticism of the writers, speakers, and broadcasters of Bible prophecy who are ratcheting up WW III talk. They’re my colleagues and brothers in Christ–even though we may disagree on some aspects of prophecy yet future, such as whether the Rapture will be pre-Tribulation or whether the Rapture will in fact occur at all. (I like to appropriate ol’ Dr. J Vernon McGee’s apothegm in those cases: “They have a right to be wrong. But if they want to be right, they should come along with me.”)

Better put, that great preacher declared they should come along with the Bible’s take on the issues. And that take is that a Rapture is coming–before the Tribulation (Daniel’s seventieth week) that leads to all-out global destruction, culminating in that greatest of all conflicts, Armageddon.

That the WW III talk among communicators within the Bible prophecy community is ramping up can be seen in the following excerpt taken from a well-known contemporary writer:

Right now, we are all witnessing some of the most pivotal moments in all of human history.  For a long time, I warned my readers that a great war would be coming to the Middle East.  In fact, I specifically warned that it would be one of “the 3 wars of the apocalypse”.  I didn’t expect the Great Middle East War to arrive quite so quickly, but here we are.  Once thousands of missiles start flying back and forth, none of our lives will ever be the same again.  We are literally watching an apocalyptic scenario play out right in front of our eyes, and it is all going to begin once Israeli forces move into Gaza…

So here we go.

This is it…

Sadly, there is no way out now.

The clock is ticking, and the Middle East will soon erupt in flames…

We knew that this was coming.

Now it is here.

But even at this late stage, most of the world still has no idea what is coming next… (“Here We Go – The IDF Is Given the “Green Light” as U.S. Forces in the Middle East Come under Fire,” by Michael, October 19, 2023, Rapture Ready News)

The writer does a stellar job of filling in reportorial elements making up his apocalyptic view that there is now no way out. He presents important news of prophetic interest taking place. His reporting on what’s been happening in the conflict surrounding Israel is on the money. He is a very good reporter on things important to the stage being set for fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

I disagree totally with his assessment that there’s no way out, but do agree with his statement: “But even at this late stage, most of the world still has no idea what is coming next.”

My disagreement with his assessment in its totality is based upon the biblical truth that we know this isn’t the time of all-out war on earth, because Jesus foretold:

And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. (Matthew 24:6)

The Lord then went on to tell about all that must happen up to and including humankind’s final war. He, in His ascended glory, filled out the conclusion, then, by giving John, His beloved disciple and the writer of Revelation, the full scope of the wrap-up of human history.

Most folks absolutely do not know what is coming next, as the writer says. That includes believers (true Christians) who never consider God’s rescue plan for them. That also includes the writer of the above article, who denies the biblical truth of the pre-Trib Rapture. He believes, according to all I’ve learned from his writing, that believers will go through those seven years of horror.

So, while prospects for war are daunting, as we scan the future landscape, we can be assured that “the end is not yet.” We are, in fact, looking directly into the future with Christ’s Words: “Ye shall hear of wars and rumors of war.” With the murderous wars in Ukraine, the bloody war in the Middle East, and the rumors of World War III front and center, proof abounds of where we stand on God’s prophetic timeline.

Yet, again, “the end is not yet.” The Holy Spirit is still in God’s business of restraining the evil intents of Satan and humankind.

Those who study and believe God’s Word–His entire Word—know what is coming next: the Rapture. We know this, because we are not appointed to wrath (Revelation 3:10). And the seven years of Tribulation will be God’s wrath poured upon a rebellious, anti-God world of earth dwellers. World War III is indeed going to happen as part of that judgment and wrath.

Be Rapture Ready so that you won’t experience even one moment of that terrible time.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto Salvation. (Romans 10:9–10)

Tom Horn—My Tribute

It just doesn’t feel or sound right to say, “I’ll miss Tom Horn.” His powerful presence seems thoroughly melded within my very being, so I can’t imagine him not being a part of my life.

Tom and I were knit together by Holy Spirit orchestration in warm, brotherly friendship that transcended mere occasional contact. We rarely were afforded the opportunity to have one-on-one meetings. We were too immersed in our work, which prevented frequent casual conversation. We labored in the same Heaven-directed way that was solitary and yet symbiotic.

That isn’t to say that we were in any way at the same level in our labor for the Lord. Tom’s brilliance—his dynamic drive and accomplishments—far exceeded my own. But he considered me an equal in our work, and graciously expressed his elevated opinion of my abilities often and without pretentious flattery.

Tom was a truly God-gifted man of immense stature, and he excelled in every undertaking he engaged in, from my perspective. And my perspective has its genesis at the moment he, his wife, Nita, and I met many years ago in Denver at a private publisher meeting. My impression then was that I was in the presence of an exceptionally creative individual with a vision for establishing new ventures in Christian communications.

Boy, is that an understatement! Tom, from that meeting forward, began building a God-centered media…I want to call it “empire,” but Tom wouldn’t like that terminology. He would want me to say that he worked to do media in ways not previously undertaken, in directions not ordinarily gone. Something like that…

Our friendship grew from that meeting, and I was privileged to be among his first published authors once Defender Publishing was established at Crane, Missouri. And I was blessed to be invited to do what I recall being the first TV program taping when he had established SkyWatch TV. Gary Stearman, as I recall, interviewed me for that broadcast.

Tom and I have done many books and TV programs together over the succeeding years, and all of his and Nita’s personal family and others at their ministry are family to me. So Tom’s passing into Glory is only a very temporary parting. We will one day pick up where we left off around that Great Supper of the Lamb get-together our Heavenly Father has prepared for the Lord Jesus and His Bride, the Church.

Knowing I will be again with Tom and our many fellow laborers in God’s work is yet another reason I keep looking up with great anticipation, as commanded by our Lord:

And when you see all these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your head, for your redemption draweth nigh. (Luke 21:28)

My perspective of Tom Horn as a champion of faith and a creative innovator of Christian media is far overshadowed by the beautiful picture drawn in words by Tom’s children. I won’t share that here with you, but offer that if you get a chance to read that tribute, the words of love for their father will clutch wonderfully at your deepest sense of the dad-child relationship God meant for humanity when He created the family.

I present here a few details of Tom’s life his family generously allowed me to share.

Tom Horn

February 28, 1957–October 20, 2023

Tom Horn entered his eternal reward and the arms of Jesus after a lifetime of ministry and service. Thomas Ray Horn was born on February 28, 1957, in El Mirage, Arizona, to Clarence Edward Horn and Virginia Lee (McLaughlin) Horn.

In the late 1980s, Tom’s focus shifted to writing books in which he courageously tackled many challenging and somewhat controversial questions relating to theological views on topics such as extraterrestrial activity, the implications of Genesis 6, biblical prophecy, and multiple other subjects that many ministries are not in a position to take on.

Tom’s life was spent working, while he used his “off hours” to accomplish other things. True to this form, during the early season of Tom’s authorship career, he served at a large camp and conference ministry in Oregon while writing on the side. It was during this chapter that Tom and Nita were able to work, for the first time, with a ministry known as Royal Family Kids’ Camp—a foundation that ministers to children in the foster care system and those rescued from multiple forms of trafficking and abuse by exposing them to a fun-filled week of summer camp, where they are able to experience personal growth and empowerment while being introduced to the concept of a God who cares about them. Immediately, this population of marginalized souls captured the hearts of both Tom and Nita, who looked particularly forward to this group’s return each year for their time at this avenue of service.

When Tom “retired” from working at the camp and conference ministry, he continued writing—an endeavor that, by now, had become nearly full-time involvement in Christian media. He and Nita launched Survivor Mall, an online store that financially supplemented Tom’s ability to write full time, and they relocated to Missouri with plans of buying some property and a few horses, and taking a slower approach to life as they enjoyed their senior years. Around this same time, Defender Publishing was established, followed several years later by SkyWatch TV. Through a series of unexpected life twists, Tom and Nita, together, realized that their retirement chapter on a quiet ranch in Missouri would be better utilized as a summer camp facility dedicated full time to ministering to the same marginalized populace of children who had so captured their hearts before: Royal Family Kids’ Camp and sister ministry Teen Reach. From this, Whispering Ponies Ranch was built, which to this day carries Tom’s legacy, his passion, and his continuing mission to make the world a better place by helping abused children heal and find God’s love.

Over the years, Tom penned many best-selling books, including Forbidden GatesThe Wormwood ProphecyExo-VaticanaZeitgeist 2025ShadowlandAbaddon Ascending, and, most recently, Before Genesis with Donna Howell and his upcoming release, We Are Legion.

Tom is survived by his wife, Juanita F. Horn, and his three children and their families. These include daughter Althia Anderson, son Joe Horn with wife Katherine Horn, and daughter Donna Howell with husband James Howell. Tom is survived by eight grandchildren: John Anderson, Kathryn Anderson, Kate Horn, Nita Horn, Joe Howell, Althia Howell, Rebecca Horn, and name-sake grandson, Thomas Horn.

Gog-Magog and Rapture

There is much questioning, speculation, and worry about exactly what the ghastly attack on Israel by Hamas means in terms of Bible prophecy. What it all means with regard to the Rapture seems the prime focus of concern.

Is this the beginning of the Gog-Magog war of Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39? Is the assault the beginning of a Psalm 83 war? And, added to the subject is the question of Isaiah 17:1. Will Damascus meet its total destruction as part of things about to unfold, since Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and others within the IDF and Israeli defense officials have vowed immense retaliation?

I certainly don’t have the answers—at not least from a 100-percent knowledgeable perspective. But we can definitely postulate a bit based upon a studied view of God’s Word that involves future fulfillment of prophecy.

We who believe in dispensational truth and accept the premillennial, pre-Trib view of things to come know that what’s happening is not coincidental. It all points to exactly where things should be if the world is at the very end of the Church Age, or Age of Grace.

We also have a number of other signals pointing to the end of this dispensation—signals that the stage is being set for fulfillment of prophecies about what will immediately precede Christ’s Second Advent:

    • The globalist minions are trying to bring into being the New World Order, which, we as pre-Trib advocates know, will eventuate in bringing Antichrist to the world stage.
    • These same minions are bringing to bear, in addition to AI and surveillance instrumentalities, a new monetary system of digital control involving computer-satellite technologies that will give the man of sin the control Satan wants to exert over the peoples of earth.
    • Diabolist nations of history yet future are shaping up for their end-times roles. Russia and China, for example, seem to be stepping into their destructive roles described in Ezekiel and Revelation.
    • Wickedness and violence are ramping up, making cultures and societies around the globe like they were in the days of Noah and of Lot—while business goes on, particularly here in America, pretty much as usual.
    • Religious amalgamation proceeds, melding—with the blessings of Pope Francis—into a common, end-times religious model of some sort that is yet to be determined.
    • All the while, there is a falling away—an apostasy—amongst some of the mainstream denominations within Christendom. (I use the word “Christendom” because I’m not referring to Christians, but to those with a false façade of Christianity.)

So, while things are coming together in the Middle East—surrounding and totally involving God’s chosen nation—thrown into the milieu of developments is every other prophetic indicator for the wrap-up of history just prior to Christ’s Second Coming. All ingredients for Daniel’s seventieth week are shaping up for the time Jesus said will be the worst ever (Matthew 24:21).

All of this considered, my own thinking about developments in this ongoing devastation in Gaza is governed by Jesus’ prophetic statement that I believe is perhaps the most important involving matters leading to the Tribulation (Daniel’s seventieth week): The Lord’s words that all things will be like they were in the days of Lot (Luke 17:28–30).

By this, I mean that when an event as devastating as the destruction of all of Israel’s enemies takes place, all semblance of “business as usual” will be out the window. The world will change spectacularly for the worse during that destruction and all that will follow, according to Daniel 9:26–27.

Seven years of hell on earth will begin to rage, and all “business as usual” will be lost in the chaos.
So, while the things we see developing now are profoundly troubling, the end is “not yet”—as Jesus put it in His Olivet Discourse. There remain wars and rumors of war leading to the final dispensational era called the “Great Tribulation” or the “time of Jacob’s trouble”—the last three and a half years of Daniel’s seventieth week.

I’m convinced that although we believers might be here to see considerable war-making, we won’t be on earth to witness the end of the things we see going on now in the land that’s destined to host the Gog-Magog war and Armageddon.

Like Lot and his daughters, we will be taken (the Greek word paralambano) by force from this sphere slated for God’s judgment. The “force” that snatches believers from the hour of God’s wrath will be our Savior’s call: “Come up here!”

Here yet again is how to hear that call:

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9–10)

The Day Approaching

A most relevant Scripture for this moment on God’s prophetic timeline is:

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. (Hebrews 10: 25)

More than 1,200 enthusiastic believers “assembled together” week before last at Norman, Oklahoma, during the Prophecy Watchers conference. As if on cue, a profound event occurred to highlight the reason Gary Stearman, Bob Ulrich, and Mondo Gonzales have Prophecy Watchers as the name of their ministry. Israel, God’s timepiece, as we sometimes refer to that prophetic nation, was attacked on the fiftieth anniversary of the 1973 Yom Kippur War.

All eyes and ears of the gathered prophecy watchers in Norman were affixed upon the ongoing “war,” as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has termed the conflict.

As I understand, more than two thousand people live-streamed the conference. So I sense that the very core of believers yearning for Christ’s return were tuned in to the conference, and that the Lord might have, in His own omniscient orchestration, made sure the observing eyes and ears of His eternal family who are yearning for His Son’s call to the Church were affixed on and attuned to the brutal, beastly assault on His chosen nation and people yet again.

Of course, all the speakers at the conference, myself included, were bombarded with questions about what this war might mean. I’m sure readers of this commentary are asking the same.

Let me say that I, too, am asking the same questions regarding what all this might mean.

Like all of you who are intensely interested in what’s going on, my own interest revolves most specifically around: What does it all mean in terms of the nearness of the Rapture?

I believe that is a perfectly appropriate question to ask, based upon Hebrews 10:25 quoted above.

The key phrase here, of course, is “as ye see the day approaching.” This goes to the very heart of our Lord’s desire to be faithful members of His heavenly family. We are told we should gather with fellow children of God while we see or watch for the approaching day.

The “assembling together” phraseology isn’t merely a suggestion to go to church regularly, but a command to come together as one in watching developments pointing to that day. I believe “that day” refers to the time of Tribulation and, more importantly, to the Day of Christ when the glorious dawn breaks for all believers—that spectacular instant when Christ calls us to Himself in the Rapture.

Watching for that day is not an exhortation to only those who attend prophecy conferences. It is a command to all believers in Jesus Christ, who has secured forever their place in God’s eternal family.

Again we are commanded by Jesus as to what we should be doing as we see the day approaching:

What I say unto one, I say unto all. Watch. (Mark 13: 37)

And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your head; for your redemption draweth nigh. (Luke 21:28)

All conference attendees in Norman were stunned to have such a powerful signal to be “looking up” when the news of the attack on Israel suddenly came. The word “coincidence,” as Hal Lindsey has noted, is not in God’s vocabulary. The atrocity against Israel has immense significance.

This present Israeli war will have profound ramifications, I believe, based upon all the many other things we see as we watch the day approaching.

If you don’t know the One who has all of this otherwise frightening confluence of end-times signals under complete control, follow what our God Instructs so you will become a member of His eternal family. You will then be able, through Holy Spirit discernment, to see with clarity that “day” approaching.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9–10)

The AI-Alien Connection

It becomes more obvious by the day: AI is in the process of invading the world.

Artificial intelligence has so quickly taken over in daily doings that it is indeed hard to keep up. It certainly has popped up in my life unexpectedly.

Daughter Dana, who is always in the middle of putting together my PowerPoint presentations, has recently been working on my part in the Prophecy Watchers conference in Norman, Oklahoma. (By the time this is posted, I will—Lord willing—have already done it.) Point is, as a blind guy for nearly forty years, when using PowerPoint, I must have audio prompts to lead from one slide to the next so I can keep track of each area I wish to address.

These prompts are usually a narrator giving a statement about what the following section will cover. We usually choose someone we know to do these audio prompts—Dana’s husband, Mike, for example, has done it several times.

This time, however, Dana surprised me. She said she had chosen an AI narrator; an artificial intelligence voice would be giving the prompts.

You know what? It sounds like a real, professional broadcaster. I kind of miss Mike’s voice, but have to admit this AI guy sounds almost as good as my late, great friend Dr. Dave Breese did all those years ago.

So it isn’t an unpleasant invasion that AI has made in this case. I believe the Lord is using that stupendously advancing technology in ways to further His Kingdom work. However, this isn’t the ominous way this technology will ultimately be used to help enslave a world ripe for deception and delusion.

Along with advancing AI is the growing interest that even the US government, once so quiet about UFOs, demonstrates in now wanting people to focus on “unidentified anomalous phenomena” (UAP). I don’t believe the two recent developments—AI and UAP interest—are coincidental. I believe their coming together at this crucial time at the end of this Church Age (Age of Grace) has great prophetic implications.

The following recent news in regard to NASA looking into the possibility of intelligent extraterrestrial life will perhaps help frame my point.

NASA has consistently said there is no evidence of alien life in the cosmos. But some among the authorities exploring the universe are advancing other ideas.

Artificial intelligence and machine learning will be “essential” to finding and proving the existence of extraterrestrial life and UFOs, NASA said.

The space agency recently released its highly anticipated 36-page UFO report that said NASA doesn’t have enough high-quality data to make a “definitive, scientific conclusion” about the origin of UFOs.

Moving forward, AI will be vital to pinpointing anomalies while combing through large datasets, according to the report compiled by NASA’s independent research team on UAPs (unidentified anomalous phenomena), a fancy word for UFO.

“We will use AI and machine learning to search the skies for anomalies… and will continue to search the heavens for habitable reality,” NASA Administrator Bill Nelson said during a Sept. 14 briefing. “AI is just coming on the scene to be explored in all areas, so why should we limit any technological tool in analyzing, using data that we have?”…

Dr. Nicola Fox, NASA’s associate administrator, elaborated on Nelson’s point, saying AI “is an amazing tool” to find “signatures that are sort of buried in data.”

That’s how NASA, and scientists around the world, are going to be able to find the metaphorical needle in a haystack, Fox said…

“The [16-member, independent UAP research team report]  panel finds that sophisticated data analysis techniques, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, must be used in a comprehensive UAP detection campaign when coupled with systematic data gathering and robust curation,” the report says…

The use of AI has been a controversial topic that governments around the world, including the U.S., are grappling with.

Advocates have lauded the potential capabilities of generative AI and the possibility it could catapult society to the next evolution of humankind. On the flip side, it can also create a dystopian future if guardrails aren’t put in place, or if it’s in the hands of ill-intended users, experts have warned…

The NASA panel was asked if regulating AI would impact the space agency’s ability to use the budding technology to potentially find extraterrestrial life.

“No, don’t think that any attempts to that the Congress has underway to try to write a law that would appropriately put guardrails around AI for other reasons is anyway going to inhibit us from utilizing the tools of AI to help us in our quest on this specific issue,” Nelson said in response to the question. (“NASA reveals latest weapon to ‘search the heavens’ for UFOs, aliens- released a report that highlighted the importance of artificial intelligence,” Chris Eberhart, crime and US news reporter for Fox News Digital, September 25, 2023)

Now to try to make the AI-alien connection.

There will be tremendous deception during the Tribulation, as Jesus said in His first answer to His disciples when they asked for the signs of His coming. Jesus also told John, the writer of Revelation, about the things to come when Antichrist is in power during that Tribulation era. The prophecy John was given that makes my point is the following:

And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. (Rev. 13:11–14)

There will be “great delusion,” according to Paul’s prophecy.

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie. (2 Thessalonians 2:11)

The big, deluding “lie,” I believe, will be made up in part by the False Prophet telling the world that the many lights they see descending to earth are space beings he supposedly is calling down from heaven.

Satan and his hordes will be ejected from the heavens after the great war in Heaven against Michael and his angels. Satan and his fallen angels will be cast to the earth. My contention is that this will likely be the “fire” coming down, supposedly called down by the False Prophet as given in the Revelation chapter 13 prophecy above.

With all the “miracles” being produced by the Antichrist and False Prophet—the demonic activity—it is almost a certainty that AI, in its greatly advanced state, will play some part in deceiving people into believing that these are aliens from other star systems who have come to assist Antichrist in saving the planet—or some such claim.

Also, the “image of the beast” offers fascinating fodder for thought about the use of AI by the Antichrist regime.

Most people left on earth after the disappearance of millions–those who have vanished, which includes all children before the age of accountability—will be ready to accept anything to get back to some degree of normalcy—even aliens from outer space come to rescue them. Instead, they will be welcoming the most hideously wicked forces imaginable. Here is what God’s Word foretells about those forces’ leader.

Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. (Revelation 12 12)

You don’t want to be left behind on this judgment-bound planet when the False Prophet likely uses some greatly advanced form of AI to mesmerize the inhabitants of the post-Rapture planet.

Jesus said it will be the worst time of all human history (Matthew 24:21). Here is how to be Rapture Ready and eternally in God’s family so you will avoid this time of hell on earth.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved, For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9–10)

Bad News, Good News, Best News!

Each day I receive emails—sometimes many—that lament the times we’re in. These include most often the question of how much longer the terrible things going on—the stage being set for the Tribulation—will be allowed to continue. That is, how long will it be before Christ calls believers to Himself in the Rapture?

Many pin their hopes on Old Testament, Jewish holy days and traditions. When these don’t produce the Rapture, they can become quite downhearted. This, despite the fact that some excellent people these days who write and speak on things like the Feast of Trumpets make it clear that these could be times for the Rapture, but that the Rapture won’t necessarily be tied to any such event. These folks, whom I respect greatly, give these Jewish points of interest as showing just how close we must be to God bringing all things to a conclusion. They point to how near the Tribulation and Second Advent of Christ must be, saying we must be even closer the time of the pre-Trib Rapture.

Still some are dejected when these Jewish tradition dates pass and the Rapture hasn’t occurred. It is perceived in such cases as bad news.

And the bad news compiles one report upon another, adding to the sometimes fear-filled angst. The cries grow even louder: When will the Lord get us out of here?!

I suppose this is one way of “looking up” and “watching” as Jesus commanded (Luke 21:28 and Mark 13:37). But it isn’t a healthy “looking up” or “watching,” in terms of maintaining good and proper spiritual health.

And the bad news is indeed daunting. Some of the headlines found most recently in Rapture Ready News are fodder for that angst many Rapture Ready folks are expressing to me.

The Bad News

I Live in Sodom and You Live in Gomorrah

If the Lord were to visit Washington DC, he would find that there were not 50 righteous men, there were not 40 righteous men, not 30, not 20, not even 10 righteous men and just like Sodom and Gomorrah, we will surely be destroyed.

In Five Years AI Could Be So Advanced It Would Mean the “end of human-dominated history.” Yuval Noah Harari Says

Mustafa Suleyman, co-founder of Google DeepMind, and Yuval Noah Harari discussed how advanced AI will be in five years.  After hearing Suleyman’s predictions, Harari said: “This is the end of human history.  Not the end of history—the end of human-dominated history.”  In other words, humans will no longer be the dominant life force on Earth as we have been since time began.

I could have found much worse news had I wanted to take the time. These are just from one day’s news cycle from Raptureready.com.

Within my own concerns are the growing, satanically inspired assaults on children. I ask myself—as do many others so concerned: How long will this be allowed to continue before God says “Enough!”?

End-times Enlightenment

I believe the messenger who gave Daniel the instruction to “close up the book until the time of the end” was speaking of believers during our present day. We are to be the “wise” who are to “understand” the things taking place that signify the consummation of the age.

Unlike Daniel, who no doubt was for a brief moment disappointed that he would not be allowed to know how things would play out prophetically, we who are living in this late hour of the Age of Grace should joyfully embrace Jesus’ Words: “When you see all these things begin to come to pass…”.

Indeed, we have for quite some time seen these things begin to come to pass. The end-times markers are absolutely stunning in many cases. Those who are watching cannot miss the Good News!

The Good News

My great friend and mentor, the late Dr. Tim LaHaye, in asking different people to participate in writing commentary for the Bible whose publisher he reluctantly allowed to use his name as its title—The Tim LaHaye Prophecy Bible—asked me to write briefly on a particular verse. I believe that, in regard to Christians looking at the future in a healthy way rather than in an unhealthy way filled with fear, the passage I recall being assigned is close to being the perfect perspective from God’s Holy Word:

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)

This verse is all-encompassing, if we truly consider its meaning.

It tells us that, no matter what, everything we see of an evil nature will ultimately turn out to be used by our God in a way to benefit us. There is no need to worry. Our job is to fulfill the purpose He has assigned each of us.

As the late Charles Stanley always put it: “Obey God no matter what, and leave all the consequences to Him.”

The Best News

The best news, second only to the Good News of the Gospel itself, is that Jesus has promised the Rapture for which we are all prayerfully wishing. Again, His promise is the following:

And when you see all these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your head, for your redemption draweth nigh. (Luke 21:28)

America’s Last Gleaming

NOTE FROM TERRY: The article below was first posted on July 19, 2018. At that time, America was indeed in a state of degeneration. That is, the culture and society were moving away from God’s governance. The drift had become a swift flow in that direction apart from its founding principles.

Despite the Trump presidential administration—which I’m convinced was put in place to slow the flow of wickedness perpetrated within the government—the proof could not be missed. The society and culture nonetheless became coarser, more debauched, by the day. This is despite many steps being taken by the government to make things better through positive actions.

Five years hence, it has become more than obvious to me that liberty’s light is being quenched by the human and demonic minions of Ephesians 6:12 who are determined to forever darken the nation Ronald Reagan called “the shining city on the hill.”

We are perhaps now seeing America’s last gleaming. But while that seems true in every respect, the glorious light from above calls all to repentance. At any moment, you can be made a citizen of that heavenly, shining city, New Jerusalem. Here is how:

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10: 9–10)

God Bless America Again

A country song from way back in the1960s and 1970s, during the Vietnam War era, plays through my mind these days. The chorus goes: “God bless America again. You must know the trouble that she’s in. Wash her pretty face, dry her eyes, and then, God bless America again.”

The war was raging while Walter Cronkite read the mainstream view of the news to us at dinnertime. Film of bloodied American GIs and corpses of black-pajamaed Vietcong projected from our TV screens while we downed our evening meals.

B-52s dropped hundreds of thousands of tons of explosives, carpet-bombing an unseen enemy many thousands of feet below. Rolling Thunder, as it was called, churned up killing fields of earth mixed with flesh and blood night after night, day after day.

More than fifty thousand American soldiers and airmen went through the horrific, grinding process of becoming casualties of war their country’s leaders, it turned out, never intended to bring to total victory—giving their last measure of devotion for America the beautiful. At the same time, the ugliness of political warfare was being uncovered and displayed in a news media orgy of, in my view, pro-Communist glee.

A US president of the United States was turned out of office in disgrace—and rightfully so. The term “Watergate” became forever ingrained within the American-English lexicon.

Would America ever recover? Would the curse that had descended since the time of Korea, with America’s young men and women dying in a “police action” purposely fought to stalemate rather than to complete victory, ever lift from our nation?

There have been moments of seemingly possible national egress from the plunge into the abyss of political corrosiveness. It looked like the nation might pull away from the cultural rot that began in earnest during the sexual revolution of the 1960s and the legitimization of murdering babies in their mother’s wombs.

The Moral Majority appeared for a brief, shining moment to be making headway in engendering movement toward moral sanity. Somehow, however, a national, cultural darkness began descending following the Reagan years. An almost tangible veil separating America’s formerly flawed but Judeo- Christian-governed morality from a new immoral malignity fell with the Clinton years, the White House intern’s stained blue dress, and all the rest.

Jeremiah Wright, Barack Hussein Obama’s black-liberation theology pastor, from his Chicago pulpit, spewed a venomous rant that America’s chickens had come home to roost, and implied that the Lord of Heaven should damn America—using God’s name in vain with the invective. Wright was, I infer, talking about the Islamist attacks on the World Trade Center Towers in New York and the Pentagon in Washington, DC.

As much as I detested Wright’s hate speech against the United States, I must admit that, indeed, America’s chickens appeared to have come home to roost, suffering on that September 11, 2001, Tuesday at least some degree of God’s judgment. In my view, the eight years of Wright’s best-known parishioner’s time in the Oval Office brought an intensification of that judgment.

The year 2016 truly was a pivotal year for this nation and the world. It was proper, I believe, to wonder whether God’s judgment was on track to preclude that of the corrective sort, such as in the past. I’m thinking of times like the Great Depression of the 1930s following the debauched era of the Roaring Twenties.

It was within reason to consider that God’s judgment might be entering a destructive phrase rather than another corrective one. Was America entering a time such as when Sodom and Gomorrah came to their end—i.e., was it possible that God would never again bless America?

Like that country song tells throughout its lyrics, I, too, love America, and don’t want to ever let it fall because I haven’t done my part in helping keep it upright in every sense.

All of this said, spiritually enlightened Bible students know that neither the leaders of this nation nor of any other will rectify the rapidly mounting problems. Only Jesus Christ will solve the otherwise unsolvable, sinister evil at humanity’s core.

There are within the community of Bible prophecy observers those who wonder whether America is the most likely candidate for being the Babylon of the eighteenth chapter of Revelation. That’s the country that will be the most materially accomplished of all nations of earth’s history.

I’m one of those who pondered this possibility more seriously with each passing news headline involving the Obama administration and State Department dealing with Israel.

God, it is abundantly clear, has more than lived up to His promise to bless those who bless the progeny that would come from Abraham through Isaac. America, acting as midwife in the rebirth of the Jewish state in 1948, has been the recipient of bountiful material blessings beyond measure. God has truly blessed America.

Conversely, God has promised to curse those who curse His chosen nation, Israel. The cultural war is observably causing the loss of America’s former striving to promote Judeo-Christian values the Founding Fathers infused into the Constitution. Just as troubling was the obvious disdain Obama and those around him had for Israel, even choosing to champion Israel’s enemies at every diplomatic opportunity, it seems.

Such continued folly would not perhaps, but certainly, bring national disaster the likes of which our previously blessed nation has never experienced.

If indeed forgiveness of our national sins is possible, given the lateness of the prophetic hour, let us who name the matchless name that is above every name implore God to bless America again. This must be done, however, not with vain repetition in the idle words “God bless America” often used by presidents and politicians when ending their meaningless speeches.

There is but one heavenly prescription for obtaining an answer to such a prayer:

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)

God does not change. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. That call to repentance is still in effect—and it is for Church Age saints, just as it was for His chosen people of ancient Israel. But, time is swiftly fleeting.

“We will make America great again!” [was Trump’s] presidential politics proclamation. No, “we” won’t. We have proven, through our actions and lack thereof, that, as a people, we want to take America in the other direction. “We” didn’t make America great in the first place, and “we” certainly can’t make it great in the future.

“God bless America again,” when offered in genuine spiritual, obedient humility—not in politically prideful demand—before the throne of Almighty God is the only petition that has a prayer of a chance to save our nation.

The CRISIS

In thinking for some time about writing on this subject, I considered putting together an entire book to explore matters under the title “The CRISIS.” That might still come to fruition at some point, but the breakneck pace of the stage being set for the Tribulation prompted my idea to deal with subjects making up the CRISIS sooner rather than later.

America and the world, through growing anti-God activity, are building one layer of evil on top of the next. This is setting the stage for the fulfillment of Bible prophecy. Secular economists and observers of the national and geopolitical movement toward fiscal and every other sort of catastrophe predict coming collapse into—well, they aren’t certain exactly what.

The experts who believe world economic collapse is on the brink have been predicting it for decades. Some think the globalists are deliberately doing things to collapse America and the world so they can be at the center of rebuilding society and culture in their own image. As witness, consider the term “Great Reset, which is encapsulated in Agenda 30, the outline of the many changes proposed by the New World Order builders for the year 2030. (That year, interestingly, is seven years from this one.)

Bible prophecy watchers, in some cases (including myself), particularly have this view that these minions are trying to bring about world collapse. Some believe it’s the globally elite such as Klaus Schwab, George Soros, etc., who will ultimately be able to bring it about. America must go down first, obviously is their thinking, because it is the apex monetary holdup to the rest of the world falling in line with their nefarious plans.

It is my long-standing contention that the collapse, which we’ve been told will happen next month or next year, or sooner or later, will never come because of these people within the Ephesians 6:12 cabal having their way. Neither will the demonic minions within that group be able to bring about the global implosion into dystopia.

They need a CRISIS in order to crash things and implement the devil’s blueprint. They incessantly try to find ways to bring about that CRISIS, which they perceive is necessary to make Americans compliant with their wicked planning.

One of the most obvious attempts to bring about collapse was the pandemic that began in late 2019—the COVID-19 virus. And it was largely successful. The United States suffered significantly from the shutdown of businesses, schools, entertainment, and every other sort of activity, including many churches. This must have been particularly pleasing to the devil.

Yet that CRISIS, which they’re trying to gin up again in anticipation of a presidential election that might go against globalist planning, did not bring about the collapse. America, as well as much of the world, came out of the effort weakened, but in a recovery mode. It will take a more virulent catastrophe to bring the conditions that will allow them to implement Agenda 30—the plan that is seven years in the future.

There has been much talk of stepping up the movement into the Agenda 30 Great Reset effort by the powers that be. On September 19, there are scheduled meetings to catch up on ground lost due to the nations’ recovery from the pandemic and other attempts to bring about collapse. Their Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) plan has fallen behind, and the meetings will be designed to get all of the most powerful national governments on board with the globalist efforts of the United Nations, World Economic Forum, World Health Organization, and other would-be masters of the earth.

We’ve looked at all this previously. Here, again, is their dilemma, in their own words. The SDG brief documenting their near-panic states:

A recently released report by the secretary general on “progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals” draws on the latest data to sound the alarm for action. Of the roughly 140 targets with data, only about 12% are on track to be achieved by 2030; and some 30% have either seen no movement or progressed below the 2030 baseline.

Giving up on the SDG or extending the deadline is not an option. The world has been rocked by a series of interlocked crises… Recommitting to the 2030 Agenda is the best roadmap out of these crises, but we are fast running out of time. (“We Need 7 Years of Accelerated, Transformative Action to Achieve Sags,” IISD SDG Knowledge Hub, https://www.un.org/en/desa/we-need-7-years-accelerated-transformative-action-achieve-sdgs, June 13, 2023)

Here is a link that gives greater detail about plans for the September 18–19 SDG summit: http://sdg.iisd.org/news/broadest-possible-agreement-reached-on-sdg-summit-political-declaration/

And now I learn that the UN has just added an Israel-Palestine peace plan involving the Saudis to the SDG Summit agenda. This is a profound development to consider in thinking on the nearness to the tribulation –Daniel’s seventieth week.

I believe this summit is Psalms 2:1–12 playing out before our eyes. It is the world of anti-God governing entities slapping God in the face. I believe this display of rebellion will substantially move forward God’s judgment in answering this wicked agglomeration.

The human and demonic minions against which we struggle, according to Paul’s warning in Ephesians, are desperate for their world-rending CRISIS. Their attempts, as mighty as they have been, haven’t been able to bring in their Great Reset so the New World Order can be installed.

Again, I contend that they will never be able to bring on such a global CRISIS. The Holy Spirit is in the business of restraining their evil this side of the Rapture, according to 2 Thessalonians chapter 2. God has these evil entities in derision, as predicted in Psalms chapter 2.

That world collapse into dystopia is coming, however. It cannot be stopped. But it will be the God of Heaven, not the human and demonic minions, who will produce the CRISIS that will come when Christ calls to all believers to Himself (1 Corinthians 15:51–55 and 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18). God’s judgment and wrath against the anti-God rebels of earth will begin to fall that very day, according to the Lord Jesus:

Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. (Luke 17:26–30)

The CRISIS could come at, literally, any tick of the second hand on your watch. You don’t want to be left here in unbelief when Jesus calls those of God’s family. Here is how to make sure you will hear and heed that glorious call.

That if thou shalt belief in thine heart the lord Jesus, and shalt confess with thy mouth that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10: 9–10)
