Coming Out!

“Coming out of the closet” is an expression most understand in terms of the American lexicon. We have watched them “come out” over the last few decades. We have been a part of forewarning God’s words of condemnation for the practices of homosexuality–such as the following:

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. (Romans 1:26-27)

The forewarning God gave the Apostle Paul to pronounce has been ridiculed as have few other of His prescriptions for living while on the planet He created for humankind. As a matter of fact, governments–such as that of Canada–have gone a long way toward making offering such scriptural condemnation crime worthy of punishable by imprisonment.

American Christian ministries are affected by those foreign governments whose laws are aimed at punishing those who “discriminate” against “gays.”

For example, one TV ministry recently told a guest minister you would recognize that he was not to say anything about homosexuality. If he did so, the TV hosts told him their ministry would be heavily fined–$50,000. And, the ministry possibly would be forbidden to air programs in Canada in the future.

So, the gay community has not only come out of the proverbial closet, but now has major governments championing them as they proceed to emerge.

Actually, the nucleus of this article isn’t meant to dwell upon the coming out of the so-called gay community. That is very old news in this swiftly moving era as we near the end of this Age of Grace, as I am convinced with every ounce of discernment within me this generation is approaching.

The opening of that barrier to total immorality–the homosexual closet door-however, I believe, is precursor to–indication of–the opening of a much more massive door. I think the door has been opened to the demonic nether region–to the dark dimension from which end-times evil is beginning to emerge.

In every direction we look these days as prophetic observers (watchmen on the wall), there is inexplicable activity by people that flies in the face of common sensibility. I refer to the rage in the streets that not only has not abated, but continues to increase as part of America’s former political process. I say former because the process is no longer recognizable within what was previously the civility norms of that process.

The reprobate mindset for a growing number of people has, I believe, resulted from the spiritual infection gushing from that open door. Paul’s forewarning of what happens when people turn their backs on God becomes more readily apparent by the hour:

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity. (Rom. 1:28-29)

Many examples could be given to express what constitutes the end-times reprobate mindset. I’ll give just one of recent vintage you might remember.

Reacting to the Kavanaugh confirmation, a Georgetown professor said white Republican senators deserve to die “miserable deaths” while “feminists laugh as they take their last gasps.

Carol Christine Fair, an associate professor in the Security Studies Program, added that once the white Republican Senators die miserable deaths, their corpses should be castrated and fed to pigs. (WND, “Prof: White GOP senators deserve ‘miserable deaths,’” Oct. 2, 2018)

But the invasion from that netherworld seems to have transcended merely the bringing about of the reprobate mindset prophesied by Paul–the mindset of those like the professor who is charged with inculcating the minds of America’s youth. The insanity takes on even more pronounced end-times madness.

In what is becoming a regular political expression of the left-wing, an occult bookstore in Brooklyn is organizing a gathering to hex newly appointed Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

The Facebook announcement read:

“Please join us for a public hex on Brett Kavanaugh, upon all rapists and the patriarchy at large which emboldens, rewards and protects them. We are embracing witchcraft’s true roots as the magik (sic) of the poor, the downtrodden and disenfranchised and its history as often the only weapon, the only means of exacting justice available to those of us who have been wronged by men just like him. (“Brooklyn Witches to Hex Brett Kavanaugh,” Breaking Israel News, by Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz, Oct.15, 2018)

Each hour that passes brings such reports and even stranger indications that the demonic world is coming out of that netherworld closet.

And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead? To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. (Isaiah 8:19-20)

Excellent Brother Terry! This world grows darker every day and yet so many are still asleep! I feel guilty crying out to our Lord “MARANATHA” but I am just so sick of it all. I read the news and cry and can’t even look at most of it.
The best weapons I have now are 2 hands clasped in prayer and my constant talking to The Lord. I pray today many find their way to His Cross and His freedom and His salvation. But, at days end…..EVEN SO COME LORD JESUS! God bless you and all the amazing watchmen/women sitting on those walls. All my love in Christ!

  2. Isaiah would no doubt say “Been there, done that” …(5:14) our people in America have gone into captivity so to speak, Held hostage by the ravages of darkness. The great old prophet said that Hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure … a perfect description of where we are. Paul’s reminder to the early church is paramount – The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of Satanic strongholds.

But there is a line drawn somewhere as God did not instruct Abraham and Lot to evangelize Sodom but said, “Get out”. The soon-to-be-heard Trumpet will be our evacuation orders to “get out”. Even so, come Lord Jesus.

    Thanks Brother Terry.

Amen. I am having a hard time putting my recent experience into words. We were in a lovely church for several years. I taught Sunday School. We had a young pastor who preached the Word of God and gave excellent sermons. Then without warning one segment of that church became furious, very angry and began to attack the pastor and his wife with all kinds of insults and even threats to them and their young children. The rest of us defended him and stood with him. They continued to attack and included the members who stood with him in their attacks. We went to worship and it broke out into a brawl. One Sunday morning he went to the pulpit, a broken man. I forget all that had happened before the service but it was a very harsh and horrid attack on him and his wife. He led the church in prayer and then simply said that we could stay if we chose to but he and his family were leaving and they did.

It was heartbreaking. I have seen a lot of church splits and battles but I have never witnessed the hate, the rage, the temper tantrums that were present in that church. Love? Nope. Compassion? Absent. How can we be salt and leaven when we act as badly or worse than the world outside the church doors.

I agree GWA. Very good article Brother Terry as always. Like GWA, I get very discouraged. I have loved my country my whole life; perhaps too much. The flesh in me wants to fight back against these evil people who are running things now(i.e. returning blow for blow in the streets etc). America will no longer enforce the laws that are about fairness, justice, or enforcing the law; only unfair and unjust ones. I do “in my mind” sense more demons surrounding us as you describe increasing Brother Terry. I don’t know if it’s real or imagined on my part (going crazy like some would say). I think it’s increased discernment on my part. Possessed people do have a “crazy look” in their eyes. I became aware of this years ago watching detective shows and hearing victims describing their attackers and the evil look in their eyes. I believe that is real. I see this in people’s eyes in some of our elected officials now. I think to myself “how can anyone not see the evil of this person by not only the look in their eyes but the evil policies they support”. What’s even more disconcerting to me is if I am interpreting scripture correctly that it is a total waste of time to debate with demon possessed people. They are demonic with no sense of reason or desire to have a fair debate. I tire of hearing people say “Congressmen need to reach across the aisle”. That is not the answer to our problems. That is one of the major causes of the problem; endless compromising with evil. Of course, the root source of this problem is our kicking God to curb. There is no more common ground with liberals. 2Co_6:14 Stop becoming unevenly yoked with unbelievers. What PARTNERSHIP can righteousness have with lawlessness? What fellowship can light have with darkness? All I can say is Maranatha Lord Jesus.

    • hawk2017 says:

I believe you are right. There comes a time when Our God tells us not to pray for a nation of demon possessed people. Jesus is coming very Soon. Love in Jesus Christ.

    • Dawn Street says:

You are right. The eyes are the windows into the soul. I look at some of our elected officials and I see evil looking back at me. It was that way in the church I wrote about. And the evil spills out of their mouths as well and in their deeds are also evil. Yet they will give lovely Christmas Child boxes to Samaritan’s Purse. I am also feeling discouraged and much like a stranger here. Heaven is my home.

Terry knows about my experience with the Episcopal Church, but I thought I’d pass it along for the other readers of this blog. I was a life-long member of this church and over the course of time saw it become more and more liberal. Finally, in 2003 it gave its assent at its triennial convention for the ordination of an openly gay man, Gene Robinson, as bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of New Hampshire. In my own parish, I watched the discord this caused. I stuck it out until 2007 advocating for the Bible’s clear teachings that homosexual behavior was indeed and abomination. When it became clear that its rector and the majority of its members would not make a stand against the “doctrine of devils” the Episcopal hierarchy was preaching, I walked away.

I joined a supposedly Bible-centered Anglican church where it turned out its rector had his “own version” which parts of the Bible should be believed and which should could be ignored. For example, St. Paul’s epistles were just “commentaries,” and we really don’t know what Jesus said because he didn’t have a secretary writing his words down. He also appeared to have an anti-Semitic bias, based in some of his comments from time to time. There was more, but I think you get the idea.

Long story short, few of its members would challenge him and after a particularly unpleasant and final incident between him and myself, I left that place, too. Now my mother and I worship at home.

All of this has given me a look at spiritual evil in high places and unfortunately my story is not unique as most of what passes for the western Protestant church has gone down the road of apostasy.

I am very thankful that men like Terry James have stepped up and given those of us who consider the Bible the ultimate authority a place to call home.

    God bless you, Terry!

    • Dawn Street says:

We have also left the organized church and worship at home. I appreciate Terry and Jan’s words and I have a couple of on-line churches I can watch and listen to. God has told me to “Get out” and I obeyed. I miss the fellowship of the body of believers and the family of God but I do have Christian friends I can talk to and share with.

How does homosexuality bond with Christianity?? Homosexual Christians? I do believe there are some saved homosexuals….but they are sure avoiding the whole Truth of God’s Word. Am I wrong to think there might be some that live that lifestyle, yet are saved?

  7. Glenn Bowman says:

As a lay Bible reader, I believe it is possible. Once someone is born again, I believe he can never lose that salvation. We can’t be “unborn”; Once saved, always saved. If a “born again” Christian “backslides” into that lifestyle, I still believe they will be saved. They will suffer in this life and probably receive no reward but I believe they will be in Heaven. May God convict me if I am wrong on this. I just believe that scripture confirms that once we accept Christ, we are forever His. We all continue to sin while in the flesh though a believer.

    • GWA says:

I do not believe you can live a homosexual lifestyle and “get to heaven”. We are told to turn away from our sins and if that means living a life in celibacy then so be it. The scriptures clearly back that up. We can’t be saved by The Blood of The Lamb and continue to “willfully commit” a sin just because we are “saved”. Yes, we will still sin as it’s our nature but living or committing a sin daily? No. Sorry…..I, with love, respectfully disagree. I also believe that’s the problems with the lucy/goosey churches today as they say “get saved” and go live how you want to after all you will still get to heaven. God bless……..MARANATHA

      • GWA says:

ill (5) inherit the kingdom of God. … not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10: The Original Greek Various English

      • Glenn Bowman says:

I hear you brother GWA. Most would agree with you. We are saved by grace and grace alone. Not grace + works which becomes salvation by good works in my view. I believe the verse you reference in Corinthians is most definitely directed at unbelievers at the top of the chapter. I could very well be deceived on this. YES!! I think about it a lot. I remain open minded. I just know so many professing believers who doubt their salvation because they still have sin in their lives which never ends this side of glory; even to the point that not going to Bible study on Wednesday means they aren’t saved. Right now sir, I believe all my sins past, present and future are covered in the shed blood of Jesus. In Christ my brother, Glenn

      • GWA says:

Brother Glenn……I AGREE we do sin and will do so until we are out of here …… what I am talking about is this: You “get saved” and you believe you can continue in a sinful lifestyle. The Word of God is very clear as was Jesus. We are to “go, sin no more”……when He said that He was saying “I forgive you but stop doing what you were doing that was a sin”. Not……you are saved and go right back at it. Does that make sense? We have to GET OUT OF OUR SINS……if we still WILLFULLY commit that sin then we are choosing sin over our salvation.
Getting “saved” is not a license to commit sin as most seem to believe it is. God is HOLY and we must try to be HOLY as He is Holy. I would ask anyone in a homosexual or adulterous relationship……CAN YOU LIVE WITHOUT SEX? I THINK WE ALL CAN FOLKS. What did Jesus say about plucking out your eye or cutting off your hand or what it an arm? Either way……get it OUT OF YOUR LIFE.
We must develop a relationship with Jesus……you can’t proclaim him one day and live like the devil the next. Jesus will say to many on judgment day “I never KNEW you”. How can one have a full on relationship with Christ and live in a lifestyle God’s Word says is sinful? Answer……? You can’t. Sorry.
Loved your comment…..and I am a “sister”! LOL LOL I need a more girly name. God bless you ….. all my love in Christ.

      • Glenn Bowman says:

Sister GWA (sorry). You could very well be right. The woman at the well did not “go and sin no more”. Neither do I. Yes, many use this as a license to sin. “May it never be”. If one is born again, they can’t lose that. Jesus said “it is done” on calvary. This means nothing if it can be lost. Sin is sin. We never stop sinning. So many believers are going around doubting their salvation because people are pointing out different sins in their lives. You can’t do this and you can’t do that. I think Satan uses that standard of (grace + works) to keep these people from trusting completely in the Lord’s work on the cross. “It is done”. I believe that knowing one is saved in most cases keeps people growing/ascending in their relationship to the Lord out of love, not out of compunction. Have a blessed day sister. Enjoy talking about the Lord and the scripture. 🙂

  8. SRB says:

Thank you Glenn Bowman and GWA for your comments to my question.

    • Dawn Street says:

I thank God that He is a righteous and all knowing Judge. I trust Him to sort it out and I am very grateful that I don’t have to. I have my hands full with my own sins without sorting out somebody else’s. But if I’d never had a problem, I’d never know that God can solve them. I wouldn’t know what faith in God could do.
