The Apostle Paul describes the generation that will be on the stage of earth’s history during mankind’s final scenes of this dispensation perhaps better than any other human author. We’ve gone over his many characteristics of end-times man in a number of commentaries. But Paul’s prophetic words about perilous times to come—except for the very few times he says are him, not God, speaking—are inspired by the One who is the Word. Jesus is the true Author of the Bible (John 1:1).
So when we read words issued straight from the Lord’s own mouth, they have special significance. No one but God knows the end from the beginning. His Word proves that again and again. So Jesus’ words on things to come are profoundly important to read and heed.
With that in mind, let’s consider Jesus’ words as juxtaposed against the issues and events of these troublous times that so often vex us, as Lot, the believer of ancient times who lived in Sodom, might have put it.
Jesus, when asked by His disciples about the signs of His Second Coming, said:
Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. (Luke 21:10–11)
The Lord, in other places, described these signs as coming upon the earth in birth-pang-like convulsions. There would be an increase in frequency and intensity of these issues and events. It will be, He indicated, much like a woman when she is having painful contractions in the process of giving birth.
One of the key indicators for us to look at in Christ’s prophecy is the term “nation against nation.”
We’ve pointed out many times that the Greek word for “nation” in this case is ethnos. Jesus was foretelling a time when there would be a tremendous rise in ethnic conflicts. This is one of the key descriptions of our times.
We have to look no further than our own nation, the United States, to determine that we are in ethnic turmoil. And it is contrived turmoil, foisted upon us by globalists who want to move America into a one-world configuration.
The Black Lives Matter and Antifa are proven to be groups organized and funded by the likes of George Soros, a man dedicated to creating a global order.
These organizations have ginned up the ever-intensifying rage of rebellious anarchists within those who harbor racial hatred that has literally brought American cities to ruin societally, culturally, and, most assuredly, economically.
In my view, the so-called COVID pandemic continues to be used by the globalists as a bludgeon against America’s people. The powers and principalities of Ephesians 6:12 are fomenting this nation-against-nation, end-of-the-age conflict.
This brings together the terms in Jesus’ prophecy, “ethnic hatreds and pestilence.” Although COVID and its proliferating strains is a contrived pestilence, it is pestilence nonetheless. It is a precursor to the great, real pandemics that will kill millions during the Tribulation era. What we are seeing now is implementation of a control mechanism that is laying groundwork for the coming Antichrist regime to use.
Jesus, the greatest of all prophets, described precisely this racial hatred that would be prevalent just before He returns to put an end to this wicked, rebellious cabal. God’s Word warns about this evil and its fatal destiny in Psalm 2.
The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. (Psalm 2:2–5)
Jesus stated further:
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring. (Luke 21:25)
Although a case can easily be made for astonishing evidence of things going on in space that have people looking into that dark vastness for answers, it is the second part of this prophecy that is profoundly relevant to this time so near the end of the Age of Grace.
Economic turmoil caused by the worldwide COVID lockdowns has the nations in distress with great and growing perplexity. Great Britain, France, Australia, and other major Western economies are experiencing conditions like those described by the Lord.
America, the nation to whose dollar most all the world is intricately linked, is but one event or occurrence away from total collapse.
Although our government and the mainstream media won’t confess this before the American people or the world that depends on the dollar, that collapse could come at any moment, it is feared by many in the know.
Some perhaps not so much in the know, in terms of economic acumen (yours truly, for example), understand in their spirits that the moment that breaks the proverbial camel’s back is about to occur.
I write, of course, about the Rapture of all believers in Jesus Christ for salvation of their souls.
Jesus’ words are recorded, finally, pointing toward that moment of removal from the Tribulation that will follow that great event.
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. (Luke 21: 28)

I’m sure many believers wonder how much longer this will go on while we are still here. After all, Peter said:
2 Peter {3:9} The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that
any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
I think we’re left here because we still have a job to do in getting out the Word and when God sees that there is no one left who will accept it and we can accomplish nothing more down here, he will bring us home.

Excellent words Brother James. Please keep them coming if you can. You keep me very encouraged. I fear that mandated vaccines are any day now. The MSM and the WO are accusing the un-vaccinated as causing the surge in infections again (nothing more than a flu like virus IMO, though very contagious. I believe all of the focus should be the death rate, not infections). We are the cause and the enemy now. Nothing is said about all the Covid infected illegal aliens coming into our country or the side affects or deaths caused by taking the vaccines. I go to the gym 5-6 times a week (a high risk area). I have not gotten Covid nor have I taken any vaccines. The only precautions I took were the mandated ones. As soon as no one was looking, the mask came down below my nose so I could BREATHE fresh air for gosh sakes; not re-inhale my own waste. i think we do not realize the full negative impact these lock downs have done. I believe the negative impact will begin gradually (already happening) and then suddenly. I feel the decision should be left up to the patient and their doctor.
That being said, I DO NOT want to take the coming mandated vaccine. I am scarred of the consequences of the vaccine; death or getting very sick; an unforced problem; I already have enough problems. But it looks like if we do not take it, our activities will be severely limited by these reprobate despots. I invite anyone who reads this to give me their thoughts as to what they will do when this mandate comes down. Israel just recently shoved the panic button all the way. Anyone who refuses the vaccine is an enemy to getting back to a normal life. Yea, right. Does anyone think our Lord will come for us before we have to make this decision? I am in a quandary about this. Maranatha Lord Jesus. I am so ready.
As you said, hose not vaccinated are being blamed for the alleged fourth wave of infections now, so I see us already being primed for more widespread “vax discrimination” as added pressure for people to get a shot.
I mentioned before that I did get the J&J the end of May. My heart didn’t seem to like it for a few days afterward. I do have a pre-existing heart issue, however I seem fine now. Can’t say what’ll happen down the line, though.
I have to tell you that I’m not all that worried about long-term effects because I don’t think we’ll be down here much longer and, while we are, God is still and always in control.
Like you, I go to the gym regularly. It’s open 24/7 so I started going really early in the morning and didn’t wear a mask. Now I don’t have to. If mask mandates are enacted again, I still won’t. If I get end up getting kicked out, so be it. I have two legs and the roads and trails are nearby for walking. I’ll also add that if I’m forced to wear a mask inside anywhere again, I will NOT get another shot because that would tellme that the vaccines are effectively WORTHLESS as far as protecting me or anyone else, so why be a lab rat again for nothing?
Unfortunately, as far as a normal life, I don’t think we’ll ever see this again, but as I said above, I think as far as believers are concerned, this will be a very temporary situation!

I have to tell this story I heard to laugh about life a little. We haugh lest we cry. An old man like me got a vax shot at his doc’s office. He was driving home afterwards and he noticed his vision was blurred. He called them back in a panic and said “what should I do; go to the emergency room or come back to your office”? The doctor said “come back here and pick up you glasses” .LOL I have no doubt lots of placebo pains/issues get thrown into the mix of assessments by patients. Mankind huh? We are so complex.. .

Glenn, rest assured you are not the only one who is anxious about the mandatory vaccines heading our way. I heard that only about 48% of Americans had received the jab so far. So, over half our country are probably feeling the same way you and me are. As for me, I am willing to leave my job of 12 years if they make it mandatory. Also, if they came to my door, I would probably opt to be taken to jail. The Lord knows each one of our anxieties about this situation. I think it is all about taking a step of faith. If I lose my job over this, he will provide. (Jehova Jireh) He is Faithful and True. So amazing to me that as believers, He has us right in the palm of His hand. So, no worries my friend. I’m thinking time is short anyway. Has to be. Feast of Trumpets is in 42 days. 🙂 Plus, the Lord hasn’t given us a spirit of fear. So, don’t lose heart.

Have you heard of Pastor JD Farag in Hawaii? He has been doing Prophesy Updates (weekly) since 2008. March 2020 he has been focusing on this “plannedDemic” and now the Final Solution- the vaccine. I found out that the FDA cannot develop a vaccine IF there is an effective medical cure! There is – hydroxychloroquine and zinc, Ivermectin . So the media, govt and Big Pharma conspired to eliminate all information (“misinformation”!) and ridicule/discount and medical doctor it scientist who tried to get the word out. I have 8 family members, including 91 year old uncle, 65 year old brother-in-law with Parkinson’s and a cousin who lost taste and smell – all got on one of those drugs immediately and 2weeks later were totally fine. Delta variant is MILDER than Covid 19 – I guess as virus mutates it gets weaker. I have heard of too many deaths – probably real number 100,000+, and so many tragic adverse reactions of which you’re on your own financially ; insurance won’t cover many folks – now they are unemployed and bankrupt!!

I am in total agreement with everything you said. Today, Ohio & Michigan got a little good news regarding the mask mandates. The Republican Legislature, in both states, voted down any mask mandates. So for now, masks will not be required to go anywhere.
As for the jab, I also believe that we will be facing vaccine mandates very soon. I am unable to get the jab, due to a medical condition, so my plan is to stay at home as much as possible. I refuse to tell anyone my jab statis because frankly it is no one’s business. The only people that know are my spouse and a trusted family member who also refuses the jab.
I will confess, I have been struggling with so many emotions regarding all of this. I have been reading about these times in my Bible for many years, but can’t seem to get my mind around the fact that it is all happening right before my eyes in this hour. There is so much evil that I feel smothered by it. I try to keep my faith strong, but lately, I just feel defeated. I feel alone in my feelings.
How much more do we have to endure before the Rapture? I don’t know, I just pray it comes sooner than we all think!! MARANATHA!! God Bless!!

Chris, thank you so much for responding. I appreciate it. I will not drag you into all my “double-mindedness on this”. The internal debate is still raging within me. I do not think God’s Word is clear on this or maybe I am not hearing the Holy Spirit. The following verse haunts me. Mat_4:7 “Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God”. Is this a “planneddemic” or a true pandemic? For example, Brother James thinks it was contrived purposely. I use to scoff at people interviewed on TV who would ride out a Hurricane of Category 5 or 6 and when interviewed would say “I am trusting in God” and then get killed. Am I tempting God? But anyway, I am still on the fence although I feel there is something nefarious about these vaccines (the censorship of opposing points of view is a major red flag with me). Like I said, I would drive anyone looking for an answer. I have NO DOUBT all of our comments are being screened as we exchange comments. I am sure you know you are putting yourself at being or their extremist Evangelical list by posting your comment. Scary times.

I do think this virus was a planned event to take down number 45. DJT. It worked. And also it is setting the stage for submission of all the poor souls that will get in line. I personally think there should be weekly press conferences on information about how the vaccines are doing. They should be informing the American public the side effects of the so-called vaccines. I haven’t seen anything. My wife works for Lilly. Sometimes it take several years to get new medicines approved by FDA. It takes time studies to see what effects will take place on the human body. Then, they list a whole boatload of possible side effects. You’ve seen the Infomercials. That’s not being done with these vaccines. They know if they did that, people would be scared to death and never get the jab. I’m not a medicine guy. I hate to put anything man made into my Temple. This country is in turmoil and tensions bubble under the surface about all sorts of things, mostly “rights” , bit like a tinder box. There are very differing views about the pandemic, vaccines, face coverings etc. Where I live people are generally respectful of divergent view points. Most restrictions in England have gone now and rather than government dictact we have personal responsibility – based upon increasing me,me,me pandemic….which noone talks about.
The virus has been running rampant, it is rather more impactful than say flu, I spoke to someone the other day whom had caught it despite vaccination and was quite unwell – but wasn’t hospitalised and seems to not have contracted long covid, that conversation did give an opportunity to bless them. I have a neighbour whom has a friend who has contracted long covid and is very unwell. It doesn’t mean the vaccines don’t work, it just means you are less likely to be hospitalized
(My son was in close contact with a work colleague whom tested positive for delta, thankfully my son did not contract covid, had had first vaccine and since his second, I know of faithful brothers and sisters in Jesus whom have contracted covid primarily before vaccination….it is a very emotive subject, and as Paul says we are free, yet what we do mustn’t cause another to stumble) The main issue is the Delta variant which is much more transmissible, all viruses evolve and so now the concern is that it will further mutate. I find brothers and sisters whom have become fearful and posting prayers, scriptures to them, using social media to proclaim Christ Jesus has become more prominent in my own witnessing, to help build up and encourage my fellow siblings, but also non believers see posts.
Vaccine passports for nightclubs, football (soccer) matches are coming into being. Care home staff are to be doubled jabbed. So whilst the bulk of restrictions have gone, there are new ones lurking in the background.
We are seeing high temperatures then deluged with rain, London LDR was flooded in places last week (Brits always talk about the weather and I know within my sphere people say “the seasons have gone”, )
The floods in Europe, are unprecedented. And yes China too.
The earth is groaning for its redemption, it is so very ready.
The SNP are trying to break up the UK, whilst systematically lying to the people but they have done a good job of drip feeding people especially the young teens, whom can vote at 16yrs old…absurd. So even within our island there is a definite move and I see Scotland wanting independence as a rising up against England. ..nation against nation.
Food prices are rocketing and food banks are the more normal for many now.
I could go on and on.
I have noticed for the past decade a significant watered down milk and not much meat being held out to people.
But there is a remnant of faithful believers, there are those whom feel the earth groaning, recognise it for what it is, are looking up, keeping lamps filled, being watchful and awake, are about our Fathers’ business, running the race set before them.
I believe there is still much work to be done, the remnant across the globe have been charged with the task and privilege of witnessing to Jesus Christ of Nazerath in these last days. These are challenging times, with minds/eyes blinded, ears deafened, the love of many growing cold. Creation is groaning now as birthpains increase in intensity and frequency, crying out to be redeemed. What a calling we have been given, to be placed wherever we are, to stand firm, hold out the truth of the Good News of our Lord, Saviour, King, Brother and friend
We really must continue to humble ourselves before Almighty God, rely on His Spirit to guide our prayers and actions as we spend these last hours in turbulent times. (Jude 1:20-25)

I plan to leave this world with the DNA Jesus gave me. I saw where the UN is building “quarantine” concentration camps in Europe but here in the U.S., ours are ready and waiting — along with transport and “end times”.
