God’s Weather Warnings

There is, at first glance, perhaps a paradox in our take on the matter of climate change. When I say “our,” I mean those of us in Bible prophecy circles who examine the climate-change matter, which is considered by the Biden administration people to be the greatest crisis faced by mankind today.

The seeming incongruity in our thought process comes by considering the following. While we believe that there is no climate change in terms of the definition given by those on the ideological left, we acknowledge that climate change indeed does exist. And it is becoming exponentially more manifest.

Those who are in the man is destroying the planet camp proclaim all who disagree with that premise to be climate-change deniers. They vehemently declare the same about anyone who disagrees with their dire assessments on any crisis as they delve, in full rage, into whatever problem they believe they must strive to control in their insatiable quest for ever-increasing power. For example, anyone who opposes their claims that COVID-19 is the deadliest virus in modern times is a pandemic denier, and, no doubt, an anti-vaxxer.

Not too many months ago, I have to admit, I was somewhat of a climate-change skeptic, to say the least. And I yet hold that, regarding those earlier times, I still can’t point back to them and see changes in the planet’s weather patterns as being extreme to the point of representing changes of the profound sort.

The evidence is now compounding, however. Reports from around the world of drastic weather events, especially involving flooding and at the same time droughts, continue to erase the skepticism.

Some of the reports just in recent days blazed across our Rapture Ready News headlines. I’ve put a few of these here to display the compiling evidence.

  • Europe floods: Rescuers race to find survivors as hundreds remain missing

Rescue crews have been racing to find survivors of floods that have wreaked havoc across western Europe, killing more than 150 people. Hundreds are still missing after record rainfall triggered severe floods in Germany and Belgium. Heavy rains also hit Switzerland, Luxembourg and the Netherlands – where PM Mark Rutte has declared a national disaster in one southern province.

  • Flagstaff declares state of emergency as Arizona hit by devastating floods

Parts of Arizona have been hit with devastating flooding, with the city of Flagstaff declaring a state of emergency after being inundated with torrents of water that turned streets into murky, fast-running streams.

  • Amid a mega drought, federal water shortage limits loom for the Colorado River

The Colorado River is tapped out. Another dry year has left the watershed that supplies 40 million people in the Southwest parched. A prolonged 21-year warming and drying trend is pushing the nation’s two largest reservoirs to record lows.

  • “Wither away and die”: U.S. Pacific Northwest heat wave bakes wheat, fruit crops

An unprecedented heat wave and ongoing drought in the U.S. Pacific Northwest is damaging white wheat coveted by Asian buyers and forcing fruit farm workers to harvest in the middle of the night to salvage crops and avoid deadly heat.

  • Extreme flooding hits multiple provinces of China, capital Beijing brought to standstill

Prolonged heavy rainfall affecting parts of China over the past couple of days caused extreme flooding in several provinces, including Sichuan, Hebei, Shaanxi, Henan, and Shandong. Severe thunderstorms also affected the capital Beijing, bringing the entire city to a standstill. On July 12, authorities have issued an orange alert, the 2nd highest in the country’s 4-tier weather warning system.

  • Flash floods cause travel chaos in parts of London

Heavy rain has caused flash floods in various parts of London. Cars have been submerged as roads filled with water while train services have also been cancelled. Photos on social media showed parts of south-west London including Barnes, Raynes Park and Richmond had been affected, as had areas of north London including Golders Green and Highgate.

  • Shandong hit by largest tornado outbreak in more than a decade, China

Eastern China’s Shandong Province was hit by its largest tornado outbreak in more than 10 years on July 11, 2021. At least 10 tornadoes were reported, with at least 3 of them [reported as] violent. The reports are still coming in and the number of reported tornadoes is rising.

  • Extremely heavy rains hit Kyushu, JMA issues year’s first Level 5 torrential rain alert, Japan

The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) has issued its highest level rain alert for parts of Kyushu, southwestern Japan on Saturday, July 10, 2021, leading local authorities to instruct hundreds of thousands to take immediate safety measures. Reports of river flooding and landslides are coming in.

The floods and droughts are not merely seasonal occurrences. They are indeed phenomenal weather events, and they are in unprecedented, multiple numbers—occurring almost simultaneously in most every part of the planet.

So this prophecy watcher, at least, fully recognizes that something of last-days significance is taking place almost daily. The way I and others who are likewise watchers differ from the leftists who claim there is climate change is they see it as man-made, while we see it as God-induced.

It is a foreboding weather warning from on high. The storm that’s coming is the Tribulation. The Lord, we sense, is warning of things to come by way of His judgment and wrath.

He wants all to come to repentance. He wants no one to be caught in that final great, destructive storm.

The rebellious, progressive mindset declares that man alone can fix the climate. They are making a globalists-elite-engendered, Mother Earth worship system to do exactly that, they think. We know, on the other hand, that only God can either break or fix the planet He, alone, controls.

The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods. Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? (Psalms 24: 1–3)

There can be no doubt that we are experiencing extremes of weather conditions,as never before. It seems that men think that if they can come up with an explanation for the cause then they are somehow able to control it. Of course world control is the globalists aim. I think it was in the ’70s when the Club of Rome first decided on global warming as a suitable crisis to get all countries to work together. Unfortunately they had difficulty in making this stick, so they changed the name to climate change. We are told in Bible prophecy that we can expect extreme conditions of ‘nature’ and in the behaviour of men in the last days and we can be fairly certain that we are in the last days and we indeed are seeing a convergence of extreme happenings of every kind. It is strange , but comforting for Bible believers to see these events taking shape , even exciting as we anticipate the coming of the Lord to catch us away from the even worse things which we know will follow. It should also fill us with greater compassion to see the lost saved.

I agree Harvey. Good words and thoughts from you. These are exciting times but I am ready for all the drama to end. I guess the Lord is trying to teach me patience. Everyone is arguing with everyone, even brothers and sisters in Christ. There should be harmony between. We all have different backgrounds, what we learned first, etc. I believe dispositions of people are genetic. My nickname is Dr. Doom. I have been talking about the Rapture since 1980. A doomsday outlook of life runs in our family. I get very anxious and weary. I am ready to go home and be with the Lord, the Prince of Peace. That truth should keep us believers in loving harmony with one another.

Once again, spot on message brother James. The weather is really crazy now. Everyone is talking about it. I ask myself, is God orchestrating this to separate the sheep from the goats as far as they can possibly be separated? These crazy weather patterns are prime evidence to the unbelieving world that climate change is real and that man must intervene as you say with God left out of the calculus. It just shows God’s sovereignty I believe. He is orchestrating the whole thing. Like Pharaoh, they can either repent or stiffen their necks. Newsom in California is a prime example of digging in and is oblivious to the destruction that has started from the left’s godless mindset. That is an example of someone given over to a reprobate mind as discussed in Romans Chapter 2. I feel a tsunami of God’s wrath getting ready to hit this planet. It will hit suddenly. God has been long suffering of all of the wickedness giving man the opportunity to repent. Their cup of wrath is just about full I surmise. Surely, the Rapture is upon us. Maranatha Lord Jesus. Please hurry.

    Hello Terry,

I have a little “ different take “ on Climate Change . My take is extremely child-like. I believe that what is happening all over the world is simply……..God. God has had Enough of rebellious mankind, and He is beginning the very end of End Times before we are raptured , by deliberately causing all of these storms. I do not give a dab of credit to science or things that people on earth are doing to Cause the changes. It’s just…….GOD.

Blessings to you, Carol Cole Atlanta

    Thank you James.
I was wondering; with all of the evil going on around the world, has anyone charted these ‘bad’ areas and do they possibly correlate with the bad weather phenomena? Could God be sending these warnings to certain places that have taken a turn for the worse, possibly to open the eyes of non believers?
Just a thought, I’ve seen some connection and was just curious if anyone else has had this thought and/or possibly mapped it out.
God bless you, I love reading your articles.

“So You want to claim ‘Climate Change’ …. OK, I’ll give you something to talk about.” …………. God

  6. see references says:

Weather is engaging in entropy. More evidence supporting the reality that all Creation groans. It does.

  7. Ed Wood says:

I have often expressed my opinion that climate change is a “real deal.” There is just too much evidence supporting it, I believe, especially now as we see weather extremes increasing in frequency and magnitude. The question remains as to the cause.

I don’t think there is a single one, but I believe that the use of fossil fuels is a significant factor as is the deforestation of tropical rain forests. It is true that climate changes occurred by natural causes ever since the Earth had an atmosphere. The difference between now and then is the speed of occurrence. What used to take millennia or eons is now happening in less than a century. Interestingly enough, the present rapid warming of the planet appears to have begun coincident to the Industrial Revolution and the increasing use of fossil fuels that accompanied it. Carbon stored under the earth, in the seas, or vegetation is benign. Released into the atmosphere in large quantities by combustion is not. The resulting carbon dioxide from combustion is a proven greenhouse gas. The planet Venus is an extreme example of this very thing as its atmosphere is predominantly CO2. It is hotter than Mercury on a planetary scale, even though it is farther from the sun. Whether or not human activity surpasses natural ones is a question I can’t answer.

    So, there’s the science.

However, I believe the main reason we are seeing the extremes we have today goes all the way back to Genesis:

Genesis {3:17-19} And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed [is] the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat [of] it all the days of thy life;Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou [art,] and unto dust shalt thou return.

It occurred to me today that many people, including myself, long assumed that God brought about this “curse,” but I think I’ve been wrong about that all along. It was not God but Satan who was allowed access to this universe by Adam and Eve breaking God’s rules. After all, he is a thief whose purpose is only to destroy and kill (John 10:10).

I suppose that if we look at it this way, then it looks like humanity is indeed the prime reason our climate and everything else on Earth is falling apart after all.

    • VSpeer says:

The cause of what we are seeing is Sin and man’s rebellious heart toward God…
He is in control and His Will will be done. We each have been given the ultimate choice to make. As for me, I am a sinner, but my God of Creation, who so Loves this world, saved me because I believe His son Jesus died, was resurrected, and lives now. By His Grace I am saved to Eternal Salvation with Him.

  8. Glenn B. says:

I have to disagree my good friend and brother in Christ Ed. I use this as my source of the reason for climate change which has always been with us.
Job 37:5 God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.
Job 37:6 For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.
Job 37:7 He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work.
Job 37:8 Then the beasts go into dens, and remain in their places.
Job 37:9 Out of the south cometh the whirlwind: and cold out of the north.
Job 37:10 By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.
Job 37:11 Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud:
Job 37:12 And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the world in the earth.
Job 37:13 He causeth it to come, whether for CORRECTION(sic-my insertion), or for his land, or for mercy.
I do think it is possible that our sovereign God used fossil fuels to effectuate his sovereign will so many we are not far apart.
BTW, I was a career Petroleum Engineer. I heard it from the nature lovers my whole career. :-).
    Again, Maranatha My Sweet Lord.

    • Ed Wood says:

Well, Glenn, I certainly don’t have a problem if someone disagrees with me because I’m smart enough to know I sure don’t know it all. Here’s some more reflections on this subject.

Eden’s climate was perfectly stable for all the life God chose to create, including us. Genesis clearly states that this changed because Adam and Eve disobeyed God’s rules. I believe that Satan’s entrance into our realm brought about the kinds of changes that made weeds grow where none ever had before and also took away man’s immortality.

Despite this, God is still in overall control and that includes our climate. I believe that while America was predominantly a Christian nation, he actually suppressed the kinds of extremes of weather we are now seeing. Now that most Americans have either ignored him or arrogantly told him to “get out of town,” he is doing so because he has given us the free will to accept or reject him – and we must deal with the consequences thereof. The whole world is now heading in this direction and the weather extremes are similarly becoming extreme on a planetary scale.

If I’m right about this, then it follows that human activity is indeed the primary cause for the kinds of changes we are seeing on the earth today and this is much more profound than our adding to the atmosphere’s CO2 content, though, it too, may be a contributing factor.

Thanks for presenting your comments because we all need to learn from each other.

      God bless.

  9. Harvey Rosieur says:

Glenn B. I agree with you. I have had enough, yet it would be selfish of me to want to ‘pull up the ladder’ when so many others need to be saved. So I hope God will be gentle with us as He continues to save others. I deplore the arguments and differences between apparent Christian brothers. It ought not to be so. We should be able and want to reach agreement without coming to blows. If someone can show me where I am wrong I want to know the truth. I love the truth and nobody but a fool would want to believe a lie, but such is the power of deception. I remember the prayer Jesus prayed in John 17. “That they might be truly one, even as I and the Father are one”. It must be so. The divisions will , I believe , disappear in the last days and I await to see how this will be accomplished.

    • VSpeer says:

We cannot save those who refuse to believe. We can boldly share the Gospel of Jesus Christ by witnessing with love to others. This is The Great Commission of believers. God’s Holy Spirit works to change man’s heart if he will believe. The Bible says Jesus came to save ALL men. Even the Beloved Jews must call on the name of our Lord Jesus as Messiah to be saved. This is the truth, many will reject Him even after they see Hm for themselves. We have a short time to finish our part before the Tribulation begins.

      • Ed Wood says:

        I totally agree.

This is all part of that free will God blessed us with. Even Jesus didn’t force the issue. He provided the information and examples of who he was and then let people decide for themselves during his First Advent. Where we end up for eternity really is up to what we do with this information.

    • VSpeer says:

“That they might be truly one.” The word MIGHT is the key. He did not say, that they WILL be truly one.

  10. V says:

My thoughts, precisely. Come Lord Come! Your will be done…

  11. Harvey Rosieur says:

V.Speer- All that Jesus did/does is for the sanctification of the believer. We are sanctified by the truth. That will make us truly one. While we are not yet one we are not fully sanctified by the truth. Jesus’ prayer will not be in vain.
Cindy – I understand what you are getting at. I often wonder, when disaster strikes a particular area, “How have they sinned?” . The trouble is, every time we point our finger there are three fingers pointing back at us .We’ all sin and fall short of God’s glory’ and ‘ as we sew, so shall we reap’. Is it because a nation is particularly evil that disaster occurs? But what of the good people? We must not judge , but we must discern. I learned a lot by what my siblings did when we were little and avoided getting into trouble by avoiding the things which got them into trouble . Yes we can learn sometimes but we do not have the mind of God. America, because of its size and ability to influence, must be careful in how it treats Israel for example, because there are specific warnings in the Bible , but what of the citizens who disagree with the governments actions? Should they all be punished? Christchurch (in the South Island of New Zealand) suffered a bad earhquake. Was it because they gave a wizard the keys to the city or because the Anglican Cathedral was more a tourist earner than a place of worship? I am sure the Christians did what they could to prevent or discourage these things. Did they need to suffer? It is healthy to question because that is how we learn but we must be careful not to judge .

  12. Robin McCann says:

Erratic as they may be, the climate has always changed 4 times a year but, now we have to consider HAARP and those who want to play god. I totally believe that the HAARP inventors want to control the population, that’s why I call it a weapon. So, for the more recent disasters that occur, one has to ask himself if it’s God or if it’s HAARP or if it’s God using HAARP? Mind boggling.

The way I figure it, people who want to play god, God be like… lemme give you a hand.

  13. Harvey Rosieur says:

It does not really matter what the causes are. God told us how things would be and that settles it. Incidentally , we can also command the weather, as Jesus did in the boat. He said so.
