Convergence of all indicators signal that this generation almost certainly is the one that will experience Daniel’s seventieth week—the seven-year Tribulation. We look at the signals every week in these commentaries, usually in considerable depth.
Despite the importance of each of these indicators, a couple of specific ones have emerged that we should focus on intensively. That’s why I liken “focus” in these particular prophesies to being under “God’s microscope.”
These two indicators are becoming more sharply defined by the day while we watch things unfold in hourly news feeds. Hopefully, shining biblical light directly on these matters will present an unmistakable image that leaps into our spiritual sensors.
Wars and Rumors of Wars
The first prophetic indicator most terrifying. That is, it used to be the most terrifying, as we’ve looked at before in these articles.
And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. (Matthew 24:6)
This prophecy of Jesus, I thought, seemingly was being fulfilled when I was a teenager many years ago.
This, as I say, used to be the most terrifying matter. I remember in 1958, as a high school student, being quite troubled while reading a headline during study hall in the school library. The headline at the time of the Cold War warned of nuclear weaponry that had, in testing, dissolved entire islands in the Pacific. If America went to war with the Soviet Union, there would be little to no chance of survival—that was the dire prognosis.
Back then, there were fears and rumors going around amongst us teenagers that America and the USSR were going to war and the world would come to an end.
This seems so strange now, in light of that all has transpired over the decades. Teens today (and a few adults), as far as I can discern, harbor little such fear. I can’t see a teenager today looking at newspaper articles to find out if nuclear war is about to break out. Of course, that whole concept of newspapers among kids today is perhaps a non sequitur; the logic doesn’t follow. Newspapers aren’t really part of communications these days. Neither, however, are students looking on their devices for news of impending nuclear war between Russia and America.
Some might be concerned with climate change, but most are just concerned about conducting their lives through social media, without anxiety over wars and rumors of war.
Yet the Lord Jesus Christ gave this prophecy as a primary signal to look for when the age is on the cusp of His return. Thus, believers should be looking for a profound increase in war and rumors of war.
In my thinking, there is now the greatest likelihood of nuclear war occurring to this point in modernity. That is, if we consider that the Western alliance, led by the present US presidential administration, NATO, and the globalists elite within the World Economic Forum and other nongovernmental organizations seem to be poking that bear. There is an obvious effort to try to get Vladimir Putin to go nuclear, at least in the tactical sense.
But God’s restraining hand is preventing such a catastrophic conflict that would almost certainly take place should the New World Order builders be able to provoke the Russians into using nuclear weapons in the Ukrainian war.
The fact is, we are precisely where Jesus prophesied the end-times generation would be in terms of wars and rumors of wars. This is, therefore, one of today’s two most significant matters to observe intensively under God’s prophetic microscope.
The second to look at—and even more significant, in my opinion—is the matter of the paradox we observe in America in particular. I go back again, maybe for some to the point of ad nauseam, to the prophecy of the Lord Jesus as recorded in Luke 17:28–30.
The Economy and Business and Usual
The love of money, the Bible tells us, is the root of all kinds of evil. We’ve been shown throughout the years of suffering modern wars and rumors of wars that the military-industrial complex President Dwight Eisenhower warned us about has fed the flesh and blood of the young into the war-machine grinder. Great wealth continues to be derived from the production and sales of this machine of horror. For the Russian and the Ukrainian people, this is fully in effect at the moment. And it’s not difficult to discern that the entire globalist New World Order cabal is pushing to bring America and Europe’s youth into that war-machine grinder.
The economy, then, is predicted by Jesus Himself to be prevalent and even in more pronounced ways at the very moment leading to His next catastrophic intervention into the evil affairs of humankind.
The paradox is found in that, at the same time, business is going on as usual—quite vigorously. Wickedness is flowing like a raging river just beneath the seeming normalcy of the time. Money is being made hand over fist at the same time the most wicked, debauched things imaginable are going on in the dark, sinful places of society and culture…all just like in the days of Lot.
Here again is Jesus’ prophecy that places our time, societies, and cultures—particularly here in the apex nation, America—as they were in the days when Lot was removed and God’s judgment began to fall on Sodom and Gomorrah.
Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. (Luke 17:28–30)
This is, in my opinion, the most critical prophecy to view through the prism of God’s microscope at this moment. This condition in America and the world today puts this generation right at the very end of the Age of Grace (Church Age) and at the point of entering the Tribulation.
The rumors of nuclear war will, shortly after the Rapture, quickly begin to roar within the judgments of Revelation. It’s time to realize the signals God is allowing those who are His own as a heavenly heads-up.
“And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” (Luke 21:28)

It is ‘deception’ which is the primary signal in that it was the first thing Jesus mentioned when questioned by His disciples. And there is something even more important and that is, look at what is going on in Israel. A friend of mine has just got back from there and he said the change after just two years since he was last there is palpable and he was not speaking positively. My friend manages a Christian charity which works with addicts and he was in Israel encouraging others in a similar ministry. We live 55 minutes away by plane from Tel Aviv.

This is why I’m not worried about all the present-day rumors of war. Also, in order for the rest of prophecy to be fulfilled, we need most of the population and our present technology to be intact, something a widespread nuclear exchange would finish off.
On the second point, as I look around, I see that most people are more focused on their day-to-day routine rather than on anything else. It seems they barely look up from their smartphones. This is something not reserved for the younger generations, either. Even the oldsters like me are wrapped up in these things – though I have no interest in ever getting or using one myself. A flip cellphone is as far out of the cave as you’ll get this “geezer!”
Even when I go to the gym, many of the people get a lot more “thumb workout” than anything else.
I’ve been a “dry” alcoholic for over 44 years and I’d think that qualifies me to say that they are definitely addicted to these things. Wouldn’t be surprised to see actual withdrawal symptoms if they were deprived of these contraptions. I very much believe this tech addition is feeding right into the one-world empire that is soon to come.
It’s just a matter of time.

When view though the prophetic lens, one can see how apparently unrelated events really are linked together as this age winds down. Unfortunately, the mainstream churches which should be educating people aren’t doing this even as they abandon just about every other aspect of the Bible as well.
The “closeness” of the Rapture of the Church of Jesus Christ according to His Word-notably the Olivet Discourse–Mathew chapter 24–has for as long as I remember been the standard bearer for Christian theology concerning Christ’s return. What about those who haven’t heard of the Word? Those who have lived in such places as N. Korea, China and other places where even the name Jesus is unknown. My ex-wife told me in the eighties that even those who never heard of Jesus, let alone ever read the Bible, that by the Holy Spirit, the One who made an atoning sacrifice for the Sins of the World would be revealed unto them, and thus ‘made known” to all Flesh! Then they who heard the Holy Spirit could decide for themselves whether or not to follow. I don’t know if this is correct or not, but I feel God is working out something for a still unsaved world! Below is something I saw concerning Russia, and my feelings as to the “closeness” of the Rapture. Read for yourself, and say how long is it going to take Russia to replace this destroyed munitions, depleted forces, and still be able to launch an as yet future invasion of Israel? Meaning we may have a few years yet, but the Rapture itself could change all this so we may not have as much time as I think given a demoralized and depleted Russia could turn desperate, even launch a tactical nuke, enraging Biden, thus putting America at risk of war.

To your first point regarding those who never had the chance to hear about Jesus, I think we can get an idea of how “God plays fairly” from what Jesus said here:
Matthew {12:47} And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not [himself,] neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many [stripes.]{12:48} But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few [stripes.] For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
I would say that this principle also applies to people who are mentally incapable of making the choice for Jesus and kids before the age of accountability.
As far as Russia is concerned, if Putin feels he has no way out, I have no doubt he’d go nuke, but on a limited basis. It may not come to that, some deal may be reached yet, and, if I’m right, he’ll have enough of a military left to join in with the Gog-Magog allies to make a move against Israel. I would also expect China might help him resupply his weaponry as needed in view of recent events. It won’t help, as we know the attack will be a spectacular failure.
The fact that we have so many powder kegs just waiting for matches convinces me that we are “sort-timers” down here and about to be called home.

Matthew 12:47 states ‘then one said unto him, behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee, 48: But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?49:And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! 50:For whosoever shall do the will of my Father, which is in Heaven, the same is my brother and sister, and mother. Obviously you’re quoting from another book, nevertheless, your point is well taken! I stated in a comment from one of Terry;s earlier posts, I don’t know how many more worldly events we’ll see prior to the Rapture, but you’re right. With CBDC, Ai on the cusp of melding ‘man & machine'(Daniel’s Book), block chain tech, another so-called pandemic possibly happening in 2025 according to WHO, and others, how much longer since Jesus said “when you begin to see all these things, look up, your Redemption draws nigh”.

All this “cyborgization” of humans with electronics and machinery sounds an awful lot of the contamination of humankind by fallen angels of Noah’s time to me. We see how it required a direct act by God to deal with that problem. The mark of the beast may also be imposed by a technology that will also defile the humanity of anyone who takes it and I believe the conclusion of the Tribulation will include all of those who have been so compromised being eliminated again in the lake of fire.
Jesus did say the last days would be like those of Noah and Lot, right?
Looks like we are well on the way toward both with “business as usual” coinciding with the technology I mentioned above and wholesale rise of evil; and the the latter plainly evident in the promotion of perversion, even to kids.
I certainly agree that all of this points to our redemption really being near, as you said.
