Powers That Be…
I often use the phrase “the powers that be.” Much is tied up in that expression–more than even the most spiritually astute might suspect.
Usually, in considering these “powers,” we look at the Apostle Paul’s heads-up in his letter to the Ephesians.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:12)
It has always been relatively easy to understand who these supernatural “powers and principalities” are. Not long ago, discernment that this warning involves human minions as well as demonic entities wasn’t so easily recognized. But the progression of stage-setting for soon fulfillment has changed that.
The unfolding of prophetic progression continues at a pace that’s difficult to keep up with. And—again, at the risk of being accused of being Amerocentric—I believe we can see most every element, every satanic influence, operating within this apex nation of world history. America, the most materially blessed and one of the most spiritually blessed nations, is now host to minions of the deadliest sort. Their parasitic infestation grows more horrific by the day.
The spread of sin within the nation has reached the very thinking processes of at least half of our populace. Our leadership, particularly at the national level, exhibits the Romans 1:28 “reprobate” mindset with elected representatives of the people throwing caution to the winds of destruction. They’ve reached the point that the printing presses can’t keep up with the amounts of money they ravenously want to spend.
They now seek to join the globalist powers that be in embracing those minions’ digital economic madness. They can, through electronic transfer, instantly create revenue for their every desire. They can control all people by controlling buying and selling. It is almost certainly the precursor to the Antichrist 666 system of Revelation 13:16–18.
Indeed, the love of money is proving to be at the root of all sorts of evil.
The powers that be, led–willingly or not—by the father of lies, himself, are spreading their reprobate mind infection to the point that evil is spreading uncontrollably.
Inventor of mRNA vaccines Dr. Robert Malone, having worked with the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) for many years, warns that a war is being waged by the government for control of people’s minds, and that social media platforms are being weaponized in this war and are “actively employed” by the intelligence community to influence what people think and feel.
“This new battleground, in which your mind and your thoughts, your very emotions are the battleground. It is not about territory,” Malone said during a recent interview for Epoch TV’s “American Thought Leaders” program. “…Members of a specific “influencer cloud” can be tracked using the military spy technology called the Gorgon Stare, said Malone. This spy technology is capable of detecting movements including what car you drive, who gets in your car, and where you go, he said.
The Gorgon Stare is a surveillance technology, originally created to target terrorist groups, that utilizes high-tech cameras mounted on drones to capture video images of large areas, such as entire cities. Then artificial intelligence is used to analyze the surveillance footage.
Arthur Holland Michel, author of the book, Eyes in the Sky: The Secret Rise of Gorgon Stare and How It Will Watch Us All, called this technology the “pinnacle of aerial surveillance” during a 2019 interview with the CATO Institute and said the things he learned while writing the book were so troubling, they kept him up at night. The human powers are totally sold out to the one who will deliver them the authority to bring about the all-controlling, one world regime demanded by those within the World Economic Forum (WEF). This is prophetically scheduled, of course, to bring about not Utopia, but Hell on earth.
The Lord Jesus’ dealing with Satan and rejecting his proposition proves that Satan could offer the world’s kingdoms at that moment.
And the devil took him up and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time, and said to him, “To you I will give all this authority and their glory, for it has been delivered to me, and I give it to whom I will. If you, then, will worship me, it will all be yours. (Luke 4:5–7)
Some believe Satan no longer has that authority, because Jesus took back the title deed to planet earth with His death, burial and resurrection. The devil, they believe, no longer can offer the world to his human minions.
Well, all that we observe at the moment is that those powers that be are now creating that New World Order we’ve heard much about for so long.

The developments toward bringing in the last seven years before Christ’s Second Advent are now in place. This means the Rapture of believers is on the very brink of taking place.

Memo of Love to Israel
Many who view Bible prophecy from the pre-Trib view believe the United States has a special relationship with the nation Israel. I am certainly of that camp, as I’ve clearly expressed throughout the years.
My own meaning is that America was used by God in the process of bringing Israel back as a nation after millennia of being dispersed throughout the world. The Diaspora began, as Jesus prophesied, in AD 70 when the Romans, led by General Titus, destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple atop Mount Moriah. The Jews scattered, but with the promise that they would one day return to their God-ordained homeland, where they would never be uprooted again.
President Harry S. Truman stood against most of his presidential cabinet in supporting the rebirth of Israel, and the nation came into modernity, with its own language of Hebrew still intact even after all those centuries of dispersion. The date was May 14, 1948.
This rebirth is considered a miracle even by many secular historians.
The one bright prospect for this nation of destiny is that the God of Israel will never let that nation be destroyed; we have His Word on it.
This is what the Lord says, “He who appoints the sun to shine by day, Who decrees the moon and stars to shine by night, Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar—the Lord Almighty is His Name; Only if these ordinances vanish from My sight,” declares the Lord, “will the descendants of Israel ever cease to be a nation before Me.” (Jeremiah 31:35–36)
That being established, God nonetheless pronounced that His chosen people, the Jews, will suffer a period of great tribulation. It will be known as the time of “Jacob’s trouble” (Jeremiah 30:7).
Jesus further foretold this horrendous persecution of God’s chosen. He said the following while sitting atop the Mount of Olives.
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. (Matthew 24:21)
The bottom line is that Israel, the Jewish race, is again destined to become hated and persecuted–this time with satanic vitriol that will make Hitler’s Holocaust look somewhat less terrible by comparison.
Antichrist—the long-foretold, sometimes-spoofed, but 100 percent-guaranteed-to-come-on-the-world-scene tyrant, will implement genocidal policies against the Jewish race that will go far beyond Draconian.
I didn’t make up this prediction. God’s Word, the Bible, says it. I accept that Word as the only truth there is. I and other Christians who know Jesus Christ as Lord love, or should love, the Jewish people–the nation Israel. To Israel, we say, “God loves you; so must we. You are His chosen.” However, neither I nor Israel can change what God has prophesied to take place in the relatively near future.
Despite the current American president and his administration observably moving away from supporting Israel, the American people, remarkably, continue to back the Jewish state. The following explains.
For decades, in the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, the American public has sided with Israel. In fact, in recent years it has done so by rather hefty margins. Consistent with many earlier surveys over the years, the 2022 Jewish Institute for Liberal Values (JILV) survey of likely voters in the U.S. found that Israel sympathizers out-number Palestinian sympathizers by almost a 2:1 ratio, or 39% to 21%, to be exact. And if we focus upon those with strong feelings—those who strongly favor Israel or strongly favor the Palestinians—the pro-Israel advantage in the American public grows to nearly 3:1 (22% for Israel vs. 8% for the Palestinians).
Adding to this narrative, pro-Israel profile feelings emerge from another key question in the JILV survey. The question asked about competing images of Israel, giving respondents two dramatically opposing choices in how to characterize Israel in its conflict with the Palestinians. Respondents could choose to see Israel as “an occupier and a colonizer using modern military power to attack defenseless Palestinian civilians to steal more indigenous Palestinian land.” Alternatively, the likely voters could choose the pro-Israel option: “Israel is a sovereign nation which has the right and the obligation to defend itself from terrorists intent on killing civilians.” So, is Israel seen as an occupier and colonizer or as a nation defending itself?
Once again, the results favor Israel by a 2:1 margin. As many as 51% see Israel as sovereign with the right to defend itself from terrorists, while just 22% see Israel as an occupier and colonizer attacking defenseless Palestinians. (“Liberals, Progressives, Wokeness and Israel,” Samuel J. Abrams, JewishJournal, 12/13/22)
This same survey, however, finds that such support is eroding. This erosion comes from the constant diatribe of mainstream news sources against Israel and pro-Palestinian rhetoric within journalism and academia.
So, despite America’s current support for God’s chosen nation, the trend is toward development of the coming time when all nations will turn against the Jewish state. This is seen in Zechariah chapter 12 and other Scriptures outlining the time of Daniel’s Seventieth Week.
It is not altogether pleasant to be among those charged with pointing out God’s coming judgment. But we are charged with showing individuals within Israel the way to escape the coming time of Antichrist’s regime of horror. Accept Christ now. He is Messiah. And one day, perhaps very soon, He will call His people—Jews and Gentiles who accept Him as Savior—to be with Him forever. This will be the Rapture. (That stunning event, in which millions of people will vanish from the earth, can be found in 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18 and 1 Corinthians 15:51–55. Jesus spoke of it in John 14:1–3.)
The Rapture will take place before that time of horror—the era Jesus called “great Tribulation” (Matthew 24: 21).
The people of Israel who are unrepentant (the remnant, for most will die in this last holocaust) will accept Christ at the last moment.
Here’s what that future remnant’s Messiah—the Lord Jesus Christ—says:
And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. (Zechariah 12:9–10)
Israel will then be made the head of all nations, with the resurrected King David ruling as co-regent with the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ, atop Mount Zion at Jerusalem for one thousand years–the Millennium! Believe it or not, that is your nation’s great God-promised destiny.
We who love Israel pray that you will believe. And God’s unbreakable promise is that you will indeed believe, as a people.
Here is how to believe now, in individual repentance that will spare you from going through the time of Jacob’s trouble.

Shaking Down Sodom
America’s national political system has from the beginning been less than virtuous. There have even been duels fought as part of the process, with, for example, Alexander Hamilton being killed by Aaron Burr. So it is not surprising that a sin-drenched national milieu has produced Mafia-like shakedowns and extortion, blackmail, and every other nefarious political tactic.
We have seen it time after time, issue after issue. Leaders of movements wanting their way politically –these usually pushing demands involving forcing American taxpayers to pay for their more often than not ungodly plans— threaten businesses and even elected authorities in order to get their way.
Whereas Mafioso might urge a business to take out their insurance against destruction of their business –or even breakage of their knees, these political shake-down artists operate similarly. They often suggest that an elected official vote and/or implement plans the shakedowners want –as protection against having the shakedown organization (often a race-based monocracy) work against the extorted elected official’s political futures.
It has become the American way of local, state, and national politics. And as I believe biblically prophetic progression has reached the end of this Church Age, I think it is probably accurate to say–as Obama’s one-time pastor Jeremiah Wright might say—America’s chickens have come home to roost.
The title for this commentary, Shaking down Sodom, is meant to convey yet again how our beloved nation seems to fit the Sodom of Lot’s day. Jesus foretold that things would be like they were in those wicked times in Sodom, when God will suddenly and without remedy cast judgment upon an incorrigible, ungodly, rebellious people. This will be done, just as when the Lord first removed Lot, whom He viewed as righteous. It will be the Rapture that removes God’s children and begins bringing to an end through judgment and wrath mankind’s final rebellion against Heaven’s intended order.
The United States fits the Luke 17:28-30 Sodom model, as I’ve written before. Of all nations on the planet presently, many in severely failing economic situations, America is still going along pretty much business as usual, just as Sodom of Lot’s day. Beneath that business-as-usual flow, however, beats the heart of wickedness perhaps matched by no other nation on earth. Our technological advancement, along with unparalleled freedoms, has produced a level of evil unavailable to any other generation.
And this brings me to the point I hope to make.
Having reached this Sodom-like level, America is ripe for a shakedown of monumental proportion.
As a matter of fact, Satan’s desired installation of his Antichrist regime, it seems to me, cannot be achieved so long as this constitutional republic as configured since its founding stands. It must be destroyed–or at least disassembled. And in that regard, we have been and are presently witnessing such a shakedown on a global scale.
The Ephesians 6 12 human minions within the UN, the World Economic Forum, and other New World Order institutional bodies, are stripping America’s wealth–and even more profoundly—America’s structure, once moored and governed by Judeo-Christian principles. And, again in my opinion, many within our representative government at the national level are willing to allow this undoing of our nation out of motives governed by the desire for personal wealth and power.
Those who understand what is truly happening to our country recognize the collusion and subterfuge taking place within the federal government. We have observed and chronicled once American protective agencies like the FBI, CIA, and others while they became totally politicized and joined to the globalists’ cabal. They have made American citizens the targets for purposes of bringing the nation into compliance with all plans global. We have watched these forces, now turned totally to the dark side, in my view,do all within their collective power to bring down an America-First president. And they have, in effect, managed to do just that.
We have watched, standing by almost helplessly, while elections were and are still being stolen. Again, seemingly because of desire to achieve personal wealth and power, elected representatives of both major political parties have chosen to not rock the boat in which they float within the Washington swamp. It is indeed a uniparty –as charged—that we are now, it seems, becoming enslaved by–as the American electoral process no longer exists as intended by the founding fathers.
This American president, likely compromised by conflict of interest with China, Ukraine, and other international entities, along with the military-industrial complex warned about by President Dwight Eisenhower, has the nation bogged in commitments that drain America’s wealth by trillions of dollars –which, incidentally, we no longer possess.
Yet this once-great nation continues to stand, although shaken by the shakedown minions both external and internal. Like Sodom of Lot’s day, business as usual within the US even seems to hold up the collapse of much of the rest of the world.
The most stringent efforts of the Ephesians 6:12 shakedown artists–the powers and principalities, both human and demonic—have not yet succeeded in bringing America down so they can plunder her wealth.
And they won’t succeed in doing so by their ever-increasing wicked efforts. Like in the case of Sodom in Lot’s day, America –and the entire, wicked world system, will come crashing down by the shaking God’s judgment will bring. It will occur at the Rapture of all believers in Jesus Christ.
Here, again, is how to avoid being a victim of the coming, catastrophic world collapse, and instead become one of God’s children taken to their eternal home by the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Real Planet Polluters
Climate change—formerly global warming—is almost certainly the nucleus around which the Revelation chapter 17 harlot religious system is being formed. Mother Earth worship seems to be the system the globalist would-be world rulers want us to embrace as quickly as possible.
There is an almost visceral sense of many among the pre-Trib camp that the system is satanic, involving not only fear-mongering about climate change, but also the panicked pronouncement of an unstoppable pandemic. All this is combined with the lie that there are too many people populating the victim of all this—planet Earth.
The sacrifice that must be made upon the altar erected by the unspecified powers that be is the elimination of all but 500 million human beings. This sacrifice has at its heart the offering, through abortion, of many millions of children in their mothers’ wombs, and even some outside the womb.
Those powers command that we must bring the ratio of humans to nature into sustainable configuration—a demand long championed by Prince Charles, who is now King Charles III. He is totally sold out to the developing New World Order being orchestrated by Klaus Schwab’s World Economic Forum (WEF) and other nongovernmental organizations (NGOs).
For years, observers of the efforts to bring about the one-world utopia have insisted that these minions in high places (like given in Ephesians 6:12) are deliberately trying to change weather and climate. These observers charge that those who intend to establish a New World Order want to alter the ecosystem in ways that will help depopulate Mother Earth.
The Klaus Schwab types proclaim that too many people on earth mean they are polluting the planet. There are too many eaters, and thus soon there will be more starvation than ever, along with malnutrition and every sort of pestilence—like the recent pandemic has wrought.
One has to question the veracity of their reasoning. It seems that if they just let things take the natural course, as discomforting as it might be, the result of the starvation, disease, etc., would bring their desired depopulation. An interesting quandary, but one apparently not long dwelt upon by reprobate minds, it seems.
The observations by the likes of us pre-Tribbers regarding charging the powers that be with taking depopulation into their own hands now has apparently been born out, at least to some extent. The accusation that we are conspiracy nuts or tin-hat sorts has proven otherwise. The following item is interesting in that regard.
To keep natural sunlight from reaching planet earth and supporting life, a geoengineering startup company called Make Sunsets has begun deploying massive weather balloons to blast the stratosphere with reflective sulfur particles, all for the claimed purpose of “fighting climate change.”
A phenomenon also known as chemtrails, these sulfur blasts stop the sun’s ultraviolet rays from reaching the atmosphere and ultimately earth’s surface. The result is a dimmed sun that no longer functions as designed to sustain life on earth. (Related: It was known in 2018 that climate fanatics were pushing a “global dimming” agenda to block out the sun and “save the planet.”)
Much like how natural volcanic eruptions flood the skies with pollutants that darken daylight for days or even weeks at a time, chemtrail blasts like the ones occurring at Make Sunsets mimic this sun-blocking effects to fight “global warming.”
Numerous test launches have already taken place at sites across Mexico with no public input or scientific debate. The goal, according to the company’s head, is to eventually commercialize the technology for widespread use.
“We joke slash not joke that this is partly a company and partly a cult,” said Luke Iseman, the co-founder and CEO of Make Sunsets. “It’s morally wrong, in my opinion, for us not to be doing this … (and we need) to do this as quickly and safely as we can.” (“After Decades of Denial, Corporate Media Admits Chemtrail Terraforming Is Happening Right Now to “fight climate change,” Ethan Huff, Natural News, 12/28/22, Rapture Ready News, 12/30/22)
So we eaters have for decades been accused by the global warmist/climate-change gurus of polluting Mother Earth with our deadly carbon footprints. But the admission that there are private industries, aided and even funded by governmental entities actually and deliberately spreading the earth’s skies with destructive chemtrails or whatsoever, make clear who the real polluters are.
The powers that be–Lucifer’s minions, both human and demonic—may think to change the time, seasons, and the ecology of earth. But our God says otherwise. The Lord tells truth about who controls His creation. He does so through His everlasting promise to Israel.
“This is what the Lord says, ‘He who appoints the sun to shine by day, Who decrees the moon and stars to shine by night, Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar—the Lord Almighty is His Name; Only if these ordinances vanish from My sight,’ declares the Lord, ‘will the descendants of Israel ever cease to be a nation before Me.'” (Jeremiah 31:35–36)

Racing toward Rapture
These thoughts encompass the many things of prophetic progression going on as we enter 2023. Issues and events are, indeed, speeding full bore toward that twinkling-of-an-eye instant when we hear Christ shout our names, saying, “Come up here!”
However, I’d like to think a bit with you on the “race” Paul the apostle consistently worked into his great epistles. I want to bring our thoughts down to our individual sprint toward that God-ordained finish line, giving every ounce of our spiritual ability and strength to the effort.
Okay. At the risk of raising an eyebrow or two from the skeptics, I’m going to bring it up again. I can’t and won’t apologize for telling it—at least in part—again, because it is an experience I was given, and I know that not using it when appropriate would run counter to God’s purpose in the entire matter.
I’m talking about my widow-maker heart attack more than ten years ago. (The “widow-maker” occurs when an artery that runs directly into the heart is blocked. The heart stops if it isn’t cleared immediately.)
My heart did stop—on, the hospital records show, four different times. I remember three of those times, because each time it stopped, I was instantaneously in front of the same huge throng of magnificent heavenly beings. They were handsome and beautiful young men and women—smiling broadly with great, energetic enthusiasm—who were bidding me to come to them. They looked no older than their mid-to-late twenties.
Each time I was with them, things shortly started darkening from the spectacular brightness of that realm. That’s what happened when the doctors in the cath lab kept hitting me with the defibrillation paddles to restart my heart. By the third time it happened, I definitely remember not wanting to leave that joy-filled place.
That third time, I wasn’t in front of the group, but among them. We were running swiftly and effortlessly toward a destination I couldn’t know at that moment. They had their hands raised, and they were looking over at me, laughing out of sheer delight, making me sense they were saying, “Isn’t this the most wonderful thing ever?!”
It sure was, and I didn’t want to leave. But, being blind, things started fading to black yet again, and I was again in darkness on the table. The doctor had removed the blockage, and I was back to stay.
I now know the raised arms and bright smiles were the way these runners were saying as they looked over at me: “This is a race we are running together…and we are already in a victory lap!”
To add validation, that experience occurred on Good Friday, April 22, 2011. Meanings of the details of that heavenly visit were provided and remain at the center of what it was all about that strange day.
The Scripture assuring me the Lord is in that experience is constantly on my mind:
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:1–2)
I was running along with that “cloud of witnesses” toward the throne where Jesus sits with God the Father, wanting to award us for our victory. Our victory, of course, is possible only as we overcome this sin-filled world through our Lord Jesus Christ, who has already overcome this world of wickedness.
The race is full of obstacles made up of evil and corruption at every level, with luciferian maliciousness toward God becoming overwhelmingly evident at this hour.
We’ve looked at all of the levels of resistance to godliness throughout the past year. The “woke” insanity that has assaulted America and the world, bringing about recognition that God has turned much of our country over to the “reprobate mind” of Romans 1:28, is undeniable.
Defection from a strong stance against such insanity by even formerly staunch Christian churches has risen to apostate levels. Devilish practices (including transvestites being allowed to perform for children) have even entered some denominations.
And 2023 portends even more hellish lasciviousness. This, while at the same time the globalist-cabal—the demonic and human powers and principalities described in Ephesians 6: 12—make plans in the New Year’s first month to bring on Antichrist’s rule as quickly as possible.
Karl Schwab’s World Economic Forum (WEF) seems at the moment to be the primary force in this accelerated effort to bring about a one-world government. January 16, 2023, the WEF will meet to deal with the following agenda items to create systems of control, according to reports. This is the nucleus of their much-ballyhooed “Reset.”
- A new system to deal with energy and food crisis.
- A new system to deal with high inflation, low growth and high economy.
- A new system based on the use of technology.
- A new system to deal with social issues.
- A new system to deal with dialogue and cooperation in multi polar world
The satanic powers are in a race to have everything in order when the real Reset takes place. The demonic minions among them, at least, understand that the real Reset will be the one God interjects into this world. They believe in the Rapture, because they know God cannot lie. They just don’t know when it will happen (it will be cataclysmic for the world of rebels, but not for Christians).
You and I are in an even more profound race of destiny. The race God has chosen for us to run is all-important within His eternal knowledge. We are to run it all out and give all we can to God’s great calling in our lives–individually and collectively as His Church.
Paul the apostle informs about his own race, which he carried out spectacularly to the very end of his life and until his beginning at home in Heaven:
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:13–14)
Let us run this race in which we’ve been placed for this time at the very end of this Church Age. Like Paul heard, we want to hear what the Lord said will be His words for us when we finish this race to the best of our ability:
…Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. (Matthew 25:21–22)
A Connecticut Yankee in King Jesus’ Court
Mark Twain (Samuel Langhorne Clemens), the late-nineteenth—early-twentieth-century humorist-writer, penned his famous A Connecticut Yankee in King Author’s Court. It was a fanciful play on the legend of Camelot and all involved in matters of King Arthur and his knights of the round table in ancient England.
The 1940s Hollywood film adaptation starring Bing Crosby by the same title was a much lighter-hearted portrayal than Twain’s book. While moments of humor dotted the book’s story, a dark, dystopian undercurrent permeated, projecting the author’s cynical, even fatalistic, view of the world.
In the film, the protagonist endures the morose evil of ancient European society while trying to improve that world with his advanced technological knowledge. In the end—and back in the future that is his own time—he lives happily (we suppose ever after) with the exact copy of the girl he fell in love with in that ancient dream-vision.
However, in the original story, his dream-vision carrying him throughout King Arthur’s kingdom with the king himself at his side ends with unfulfilled hope. The protagonist sees all he tried to accomplish back in time come to nothing. And, in his own time, he drifts into death toward an unknown hereafter.
The story, then, is really the author’s allegorical treatment of humanity going down a one-way road that, no matter the victories and even kindly intentions along the way, ends without fulfillment or hope. This, despite the famous author’s wit and humor, was the view Clemens—an agnostic, and some say an atheist—had: Life is without hope; it is without God.
Apart from God, there is no future “happily ever after,” only moments of imagined joy that are fading—they’re temporary and fleeting. At all times, there is a God-shaped void within the human soul that, through self-generated effort, can at best assuage the inner emptiness for a moment during our physical existence.
As believers who have the very essence of God dwelling in us, we can be joyful and blessed beyond measure, despite this increasingly darkening world. It is this oppressive, depressing, wicked world system that is the temporary, fleeting, sometimes nightmare-like occupation in this foreign land that believers will soon evacuate for a glorious future where joy never fades; rather, it builds in never-ending ecstasy.
As we come to the beginning of this new year, I again want to tell of another Connecticut Yankee–this one isn’t in a fictitious king’s court, but in the court of the King of all kings.

No matter where any believer lives, he or she is a member of King Jesus’ court.
Please understand that we aren’t merely “subjects” as believers during this Church Age. We are the Bride of the King of all kings. We are the very children of God the Father. We are joint heirs with King Jesus!
Can there be a more magnificent prospect than to be in this eternal kingdom, and expecting Jesus’ any moment call for us to “Come up here!”? (Revelation 4: 1).
