A strange silence of sorts set in immediately following the election of Donald J. Trump as 47th president of the United States. To me it was an eerie sense of stillness, kind of like the atmosphere felt just before a tornado-carrying storm I once experienced in Mississippi.
Within forty-eight hours of the election, two leaders of America’s most dangerous, nuclear-weapons-laden, antagonist nations, Russian President Vladimir Putin and General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party Xi Jinping, reached out to congratulate Mr. Trump for his victory in quite conciliatory language.
At the same time, Basem Naim, a member of the Hamas Political Bureau and spokesperson for the terrorist organization, issued a call for peace. He emphasized “immediate cessation of the aggression, particularly in Gaza.”
Suddenly an atmosphere of peaceful calm seems to pervade the world that just days ago looked to be about to explode into nuclear war. What’s going on?!
Even the completely insane-acting leftists have dialed back hate-filled rhetoric.
President Joe Biden, who just before November 5 was calling all of us who supported Trump “garbage” and saying he wanted to slap our (derrieres), was kind-sounding and generous in his public congratulations to his successor. His press secretary was almost overly accommodating in promising the smoothest transition of presidential power in the history of the republic.
The Trump-haters who were screaming “Nazi!” and “fascist!” in Trump and his supporters’ direction suddenly are no longer to be found–at least not on the surface. What, indeed, is going on?!
Part of the answer, at least to the question of the Biden and Harris forces being so subdued, and even the so-called deep state (the intelligence services that want to keep Trump out of the White House at any cost) seeming to say nothing, is because of the unanticipated election numbers. Donald Trump won both the Electoral College and the popular votes. This produced what is perceived as a mandate for Trump to implement the policies he proposes. The nation has spoken with no uncertainty.
This completely threw Trump’s haters into disarray. They simply, at least for the moment, are stumped as to how to again begin dismantling the nation’s movement back toward its founding principles.
Had Trump won only the Electoral College voting, the mobs of rampaging rioters would have likely been turned loose in order to deceptively protest the injustice they want perceived as being inflicted on those in the majority constituting the popular vote.
Now those, who like Barack Obama, want to “fundamentally transform America” by opening borders to all comers and do all the other Sodom-like things they foisted on us, are temporarily stunned. They must find another tact than burning down their own cities, etc.
All of this peacefulness simply means that Donald J. Trump has been again put in the most powerful office on the planet for the Lord’s very special purposes. No person, political party, or any other force put him there. We even witnessed God’s hand in the assassination attempt. Trump himself said he felt an invisible hand slap him to the floor at the moment when the bullet missed his head by no more than an inch.
I don’t claim to know exactly what the Lord is up to with the sudden developments we see coming one after another. But I do know He is fully aware of each movement in this fascinating end-times act we’re a part of.
The calm we’re in the midst of at present is leading to a sort of peace that will result in the act intolerable to the Almighty. It will be the satanically inspired act against Israel by the world’s nations that will bring God’s destruction upon all anti-God forces of the earth.
Although I’ve continued to support Donald Trump for president, I nonetheless wonder whether he will be instrumental in the prophesied act that will cause God to judge in such world-rending wrath.
Already it is conjectured that Mr. Trump will revise the efforts for peace in the Middle East–the effort he was involved with when forced from power by the loss in the 2020 presidential election.
The Israeli-Palestinian peace plan advanced by President-elect Donald Trump during his first term will likely be back on the table when he returns to office, according to a former senior aide who reportedly has been tapped to help lead the transition team.
The Trump peace plan envisioned Israel being able to annex all of its settlements in the West Bank while granting the Palestinians a pathway to a semi-contiguous state on the remaining territory. The plan was swiftly rejected by the Palestinian Authority, while Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed the plan with reservations. His settler allies, who are now part of his coalition, rejected the proposal due to its inclusion of a potential Palestinian state.
In an interview with CNN, Brian Hook, who served as Trump’s special envoy for Iran, is asked to respond to an assertion by Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister that normalization with Israel is off the table without the establishment of a Palestinian state.
Highlighting the 2020 peace plan, Hook tells CNN, “much of that work is still relevant today,” adding that the proposal contains all of the conditions Riyadh is seeking in order to normalize with Israel.
However, Hook acknowledges that no one is “in much of a mood” to discuss a two-state solution following Hamas’s October 7 onslaught.
“There are many Israelis right now who are focused on other things, specifically keeping them safe from this kind of evil terrorism that they endured on October 7,” he says.
Citing three sources familiar with the matter, CNN reported yesterday that Hook will lead Trump’s transition team at the State Department. (“Trump official suggests 2020 Israeli-Palestinian peace plan will be back in play,” Jacob Magid, The Times of Israel, November 7, 2024)
It is the peacefulness of all these doings that makes one uncomfortable. It will be a covenant of false peace that divides God’s chosen nation Israel that will bring His wrath and judgment, according to Daniel 9:27.
It will be the dividing of God’s land, Israel, that will bring the world to Armageddon according to the prophet Joel (Joel 3:2).
We are told that when there is a cry for peace and safety, sudden destruction comes (1 Thessalonians 5:3).
Antichrist will come in as a peacemaker, but by that peace he will destroy many, the prophecy says (Daniel 8:25).
Now, I in no way am saying Donald J. Trump is to be Antichrist. And, there is no doubt in my thinking that he genuinely wants to bring all these wars, including that of Russia vs. Ukraine and Israel vs. the entire Israel-hating nations of the Middle East, to an end.
However, like past presidents and other leaders placed in power by Heaven’s edict to rid the world of war, to get to the peace, Mr. Trump seems perhaps poised as the world’s most powerful leader of these times to put into motion prophecy that will bring real peace—the only peace that will truly put an end to war on this fallen planet.
That will only happen when Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, breaks through the black clouds of war at Armageddon.
He is the only Hope–the Blessed Hope—for peace on earth, and for peace in the human heart through salvation of the soul.

That if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and will believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9–10)

Good analysis. The next 4 years will be incredibly interesting. My hope is that the biblical church will respond to the wake up call and get busy with the mission. We also must be ever vigilant in prayer across the true church. It would be such an awesome thing if there could be a call to regular prayer by you Christian influencers out there. It happened on the evening before the election. Is the spiritual battle finally joined? I don’t think we have a choice.
Yesterday, O’Biden gave approval for Ukraine to use our long-range missiles against Russia. Russia/Putin has stated plainly that if they do this, we are in direct war with Russia. The globalists, ie Satan, wants the collapse of our nation at any cost. Only God is preventing such an event…but we can see how close we are to the end. Peace is a pipe dream in these perilous times.
I didn’t used to understand how Israel would ever agree to a covenant that divided their land any more than it already is. To give up a portion of already tiny Israel, including part of Jerusalem, as terms of a peace agreement, with enemies who have sworn blood-oaths to destroy Israel no less, makes no sense! But here we are, and we know it will happen.

14-“Therefore hear the word of the LORD, O scoffers
who rule this people in Jerusalem.
15-For you said, “We have made a covenant with death;
we have fashioned an agreement with Sheol.
When the overwhelming scourge passes through
it will not touch us,
because we have made lies our refuge
and falsehood our hiding place.”
It is becoming clearer by the day how God is moving the pieces on the global chessboard into place, to fulfill all He has revealed.
While most of us celebrated Trump’s win of good intentions over evil actions, it can not last or prevail. Satan knows what the Bible says and he won’t quit now, unless the Lord stops him…which seems unlikely in the extreme. The evil one will not retreat into the shadows like he was forced to after WWII. Satan knows and sees far more than we do, and he is the instigator of all wickedness. Therefore, he also knows how close he is to ‘his time’ to take over for a short while.
IMHO, any calm is a temporary illusion that our sinking ship can float, and sail off for another 50 years. We must not be deceived. Yes, I am grateful that we have been given a short window to catch our breaths, but I’ll say it again…we didn’t, and we can’t, vote our way out of the Book of Daniel and Revelation.

I agree that what we are experiencing now is just the calm in the middle of the storm. We’ve been through the first half with four years of Woke lunacy and instability in the Middle East and across the world. I think we are only in the eye now.
Before science discovered the nature of hurricanes, people were lulled into a false sense of security, thinking the storm was over as the calm eye rolled over them. Then, they would be hit by the other side, the damage made even worse because they weren’t prepared for it.
So, I hope no one gets complacent because, as Al Jolsen said in the first talkie,”The Jazz Singer,” “You ain’t seen nothing yet!” And don’t write off the Wokesters because once they get over their shock, you can believe they’ll be back with a vengeance.
After all, we still have two months to go before Inauguration Day and there is nothing I would put past President Trump’s enemies to stop him from getting another four years. There are still a lot of unanswered questions about the first attempt on his life. Why, after all this time, is Crooks still such a mystery? Who was pulling this guy’s strings? I’m certain the puppet master is still out there in the shadows.
I just pray that God continues to protect Mr. Trump, his family, and the Remnant in the days ahead.
As far as peace in the Middle East, I have no doubt the stage is being set for the eventual “Covenant with Many.” As I said before, I think that will only be one of the provisions of a much larger global treaty that will enable the global government to be developed and subsequently activated by the Antichrist, post-Rapture. I think the U.N. “Plan for the Future” is just the initial draft. Let’s just hope the election of Donald Trump puts this disastrous scheme on temporary hold – which I think it will.
To be sure, the calm we see now is only the eye of the storm, not its end. Let’s batten down the hatches in the time we’ll be here before getting that upward call because I guarantee that “We ain’t seen nothing yet!”

For certain “We ain’t seen nothing yet.” We know enough about what is coming to tremble for those left behind.
Zelenskyy fired off missiles into Russia in the past few hours. IMO he is a drugged up, demon possessed minion of Satan and knows the end game for himself is ghastly. He simply doesn’t care, he has succumbed to his fate just like Judas, and there is no evidence of humanity in him. The same is true for Biden, Obama, McConnell, Harris, Pelosi, and the rest of the cabal. They are engulfed by their reprobate minds. Expecting rational, humane behavior from any of them is a recipe for disappointment.
Rumors are swirling that Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has been in a coma for over a week and may very well be dead. He appointed his son as his successor a few days ago. Isn’t it incredible God kept him alive all of these decades, for His sovereign purposes, to bring us to this point in His timeline?!
We can see the divine chessboard is moving into those next positions to usher in the 7-Year Tribulation. It may not happen for another year or two, although it could be much sooner. I know that is the prayer of Terry’s readers.
I pray for Trump, Vance, RFK Jr, and their families, every day. That they all would be saved in Jesus Christ, that God would continue His divine protection over them and our nation, and most of all that His will be done.
If there is anything I have learned over the past few years, these verses in Isaiah 55 run through my mind every day:
8-“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. 9-For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
He has revealed all that He wants us to know in His Word. He calls on us to trust Him and turn to Him in prayer, seeking His promises and protection. Our hope is in Christ alone, not in any man, who is made of dust, and not in any nation, which rises and falls according to God’s plans.
Job 13:15 “Though he slay me, I will hope in him…”
I never figured Russia had the right to just walk into someone else’s country, but I also believe we have and are still not being told the whole story. I don’t trust Putin or Zelenskyy and I sure don’t like Biden, or whomever is pulling his strings, backing the Bear into a corner. I just hope we can get through the next couple of months without setting him off.
Khamenei is another bad dude, typical of the nut-jobs running Iran since Khomenei got into power in 1979. Rumor has it that his son, Mojtaba, who might succeed him, is worse. Maybe he’ll be the trigger for Ezekiel 38-39.
I’ve never seen a time when it is becoming increasingly difficult to keep up with the puzzle pieces falling into place – and who knows what is going on out of sight, not only on Earth but in the spirit realm where the real battle is occurring. this is the kind of acceleration Jesus said would occur as the end of the age approaches.
To continue with my earlier analogy, we are seeing the other side of the eye wall rising above the horizon while most of the world is looking in the opposite direction at blue skies.
We also realize that we will soon be much more than just dust, renewed into the likeness of Jesus’ resurrected body.

Yes there is a lot more to the story behind the Ukraine/Russia war. The globalists, who make up most of the UN and NATO, intentionally tested Russia by buying Zelenskyy, the comedian and perverse stripper, to incite the war for their purposes. I am not a fan of Putin by any means, he is evil and a megalomaniac, but we would have responded in the same way (that is before Biden took control.) As a side note, only God kept Russia from attacking us after we sabotaged the Nordstream pipeline. Russia has shown restraint, but that’s because Putin’s lifelong mentor was Henry Kissinger, and Putin is a hybrid globalist. (People push back against this, claiming he is a nationalist, but doing some research will prove what I say is true.)
Launching long-range missiles into Russia is next level insanity. But since Satan is behind all of this, and he loves war and death, it is only to his advantage to incite global war. However time and again, we see that God is sovereign.
John’s comment about the enemy staggering is spot on, and it surely won’t last. Satan is already regathering his forces, it is obvious. Still, it is delightful to witness every victory Trump, and those who fight with him, win…by God’s grace…against the suffocating evil we are surrounded by even now.
The Cult of Trump is disquieting to my Spirit. People who are not Believers are so desperate for a physical man to be their savior that they aren’t giving rightful praise or glory to our One True Savior, Jesus Christ. The glittering path they have focused upon is eventually going to lead to a terrible shock (IMO the Rapture), and the world will rush headlong to worship the Man of Lawlessness, the Antichrist.
We can see the temporal road ahead…it is not what the world sees. The cries for “peace and safety” are global, and they intermingle with the sound of the ticking of God’s prophetic clock. The only bright future to be found is in Jesus Christ; this has always been true, and always will be. Even into the glorious Millennial Kingdom.
Isaiah . {6:10} Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.
Jesus referred back to this passage in regarding the people of his own time:
Matthew {13:13} Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing
they hear not, neither do they understand. {13:14} And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: {13:15} For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and [their] ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with [their] eyes, and hear with [their] ears, and should understand with [their] heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
The only change between now and then are the numbers of clueless people who are similarly without the capacity to see and hear the things all around them that point to the end of this age. Nor do they want to face the facts even if you spell it out for them.
I expect it was exactly this way even earlier, in Noah’s and Lot’s day. The human race, for the most part has learned nothing that really matters!
100% Ed. I just finished reading Ezekiel 16 aain, and it is truly heartbreaking. In fact, many rabbis will not allow it to be read in synagogue because it is such a brutal indictment against the long, willful and disgusting rebellion of Israel. Nothing new under the sun. In our sinful and fallen nature, we close our eyes and ears to things that direct our hearts and minds away from our own desires and places them onto God.
God’s patience and mercy is beyond anything we can comprehend. He is fully within His righteous character to bring judgment.
And it is coming.
I used to think what comes down in Revelation was overly harsh – but that was years ago. Not so anymore. Rebellious humanity is getting exactly what it deserves.
I wonder if Russia will nuke our country causing Israel to panic at being alone which will encourage the peace agreement. So many have seen Russia sending missiles from the sea.
Hadn’t considered that, but it seems almost like Biden and Company are prodding the Russian Bear to use nukes somewhere. I think he’d use tactical nukes in his own neighborhood first, but,who knows? Maybe the election of Donald Trump will cause him not to go that route. Let’s hope so.
I think the Ezekiel 38- 39 battle will come at a time when Israel won’t have anyone’s support. America will not be able to help, I suspect because the Rapture will weaken it to such a degree that it can’t help. I’m pretty sure that for some reason, Israel won’t even be able to help itself – which is why God will directly step in. Maybe their tech and weapons systems will be incapacitated by an EMP or computer virus.
All we can do is to keep are eyes open, keep growing the Remnant – and to keep looking up!

I voted for Donald Trump for the 3rd time, although I had reservations about this. However, I could not vote for Harris, the Democratic ticket, and all they support. I mentioned to Ed Wood over a year back now re: Elon Musk, and could he possibly be the anti-christ? Now, he will be a part of a Trump administration it seems. It seems now ridiculous that I ever brought this possibility up concerning Musk! How is it that the Jewish people will ever accept a quote Gentile as their Messiah-seems impossible now that I think about it. But consider this possibility, Donald Trump is a developer/builder, and from what I’ve been reading lately(really for several years now), most religious Jews in Israel want the Temple built-and soon. Only the surrounding areas because of Islam’s influence, and vitriol by religious fanatics make this impossible. All the ornate preparations for ritual Temple conduct is ready, just waiting for a building. It’s not hard to imagine a good friend of Israel(like Trump) letting his son’s company discuss a plan to start a Temple building soon after he takes office. Now, Terry said he’s not saying Donald Trump is the anti-christ, and I don’t think he or Elon are, nevertheless, could they be used by him(Satan) to accomplish this agenda immediately after the rapture? Its going to take some give-and-take on all parties concerned to accomplish this-just saying! It’s pure speculation on my part, and I agree with robinlinaz, and hoping Donald Trump has accepted Jesus since his close call with death!

Thank you very much for your many excellent articles. I am quite fond of our local parish but for understanding of biblical prophesy I rely on yourself and your fellows.
My reaction to the recent election is a strong sense of relief mixed with an awareness that the relief is likely to be short-lived. The “eye of the storm” analogy is quite apt. Perhaps the most profound positive aspect is that it truly seemed that millions of us were fervently praying that the Marxist ticket, Harris/Walz/Obama et. al. be soundly rejected. Christianity in the US, though badly weakened and under relentless attack, managed to summon enough discernment and focus to recognize that the organized, militant degeneracy being installed by the current Democrat party was nothing short of evil.
The landslide proportions of the victory has temporarily left the enemy staggering. The violent coup that seems to have been prepared has been postponed. Our magnificent and sovereign God has built into HIS plan a reprieve, not a global dispensation. Antifa, the thousands of cartel thugs, the organized gangs, the thousands of military age Chinese males etc. have not gone home. As others have articulated, we can’t vote, deport nor police our way out of biblical prophesy.
All things are possible for our God but HIS word makes clear that only HE is capable of purging the evil which has largely engulfed the globe. The “Golden Age” President Trump aspires to will be fortunate to last Four years, assuming it is not aborted before inauguration.
Meanwhile we must strive to shield our children and encourage as many souls as possible to join God’s host.
