The thing is that unless you are incredibly wealthy, there is NO WAY the average person can ride out a World War 3 event. Even a limited-scale war would be catastrophic in those places directly affected. Sure, we can stock up on some food, maybe some fuel for our vehicles and generators, if we have them, but to last even more than a month would be stretching it. And this does not even factor in breakdowns. Even if you know how to fix these things – which most people don’t – what happens if you need parts? You’d be out of luck. We have to be realists and realize that we can rely only on Jesus, plain and simple.

Now, does this mean that we should throw up our hands and bury our heads in the sand? Absolutely not, because Jesus wants us to “watch” and to”occupy” until he comes back. That means making use of every opportunity to give the gospel message and outline what the Bible says is coming upon the Earth.

I think that would be the best “prep advice” we could give anyone.

I agree, Ed. On the one hand it is foolish not to have (if possible) a 2-week stockpile of food, water, and basic needs including flashlights, sanitary products, batteries, candles, a few propane tanks, water purifier tablets, blankets and the like, and on the other hand most of us simply can’t prepare for a long term hardship.

My heart grieves for the people in N. Carolina, and what the Biden Admin has done to those Americans, all while sending billions of our dollars to Ukraine. It is outrageous! If they don’t repent, I’ll be thrilled to see all of them receive God’s judgment. The Carolinians are a sobering reminder of how bad things might get for many before the Rapture.

My hope is not in horses or chariots, it is in the Lord.

      • e's avatar e says:

Thankfully, Biden and Company will soon be GONE! As bad it is was for North Carolina, can you imagine how much worse it would have been if there was a disaster affecting a whole region of America had been affected if K.H. had won the election?

I could get by for a few weeks on the food on hand and could store up some more if given enough warning. If my propane tank was topped off, it’d be the same for heat. Better still in warm weather. I could also get some more gasoline containers to load up for my generator. Fortunately, I know how to fix it and most of the other stuff around the house as well.

But I don’t obsess over a worst case long-term circumstance because, I, like you, trust on God to provide as he has always done.

Besides – Jesus is coming soon!

        This year in New Jerusalem!

Everything around us keeps building toward the Tribulation. It’s not slowing, it’s accelerating.

        Soon, and very soon!

We really could be in New Jerusalem before the end of this year.

        See you there!

Oh how I pray this happens. I’m sure almost everyone who follows Terry feels the same.

I have a dear sister in Christ who is so faithful, such a fine example of a godly woman, and we had lunch this week. Whenever I broach the topic of Christ’s return she goes quiet and doesn’t want to talk about it. She doesn’t say so, but she doesn’t have to, her body language tells me all I need to know. I’m not faulting her, but I don’t understand her fears.

It is bewildering to me why every Believer wouldn’t want to talk about, and share in the excitement, of the Lord’s return. Is it out of fear for loved ones who aren’t saved?! I think we all wrestle with this concern, it is one of the heaviest crosses we bear in our lifetime.

The Rapture is an incredible, truly “blessed hope” for all who are indwelled by the Holy Spirit. If we are truly saved, we are going up when the trumpet sounds, and all of the things we endure now in our earthly bodies will be forever behind us!

No wonder there is a crown of righteousness for those who are watching, and longing for His return. It is not escapism, Jesus Himself commanded us to watch in Mark 13: 34-37

34-It is like a man going on a journey who left his house, put each servant in charge of his own task, and instructed the doorkeeper to keep watch. 35-Therefore keep watch, because you do not know when the master of the house will return—whether in the evening, at midnight, when the rooster crows, or in the morning. 36-Otherwise, he may arrive without notice and find you sleeping. 37-And what I say to you, I say to everyone: Keep watch!”

We are in the last laps of our race, we must encourage one another to remain strong no matter what may come. I expect from here on it is going to be very difficult because the world is heading straight into the Tribulation Storm.

        Maranatha!

I think there are several reasons people shy away from this topic, Robin. Here are a few:

        1) Scriptural illiteracy.

        2) Doubt in the reliability of the Bible.

        3) They like their lives as they are and don’t want them to change.

4)They don’t like facing the inevitable so they put it off. Like making a will of funeral arrangements.

        5) The think all of this is “scary” and don’t realize that it is actually good news for believers.

        6) They think they have “fallen short,” based on the false doctrines of having to add works in addition to what Jesus did for them.

        I’m sure there are more.

Like you, I am looking forward to what Jesus promised with eager anticipation.

        God bless!

      • robinlinaz's avatar robinlinaz says:

Excellent list Ed, you are spot on! Saved doesn’t mean biblically literate or at rest in the promises of the Lord.

What a disservice we do to ourselves when we don’t study the Word, because by doing so it will likely eliminate all the other issues.

        Hugs and prayers to you

      • Ed Wood's avatar Ed Wood says:

You are right. All a person need do is to believe in Jesus – the biblical one – as the only means of salvation. But to be a mature Christian means to study the Bible. Otherwise, like Paul said, they remain infants, not capable of solid food (1 Corinthians 3:1-2). That makes them pretty ineffective servants, hardly capable of passing on the Word to anyone else.

        That really is a shame!

I found Col Maginnis to have some interesting insights regarding Worl War 3. My understanding is the same asyour’s Terry. Things will be going along pretty much the same. Very few will be watching for Christs return becausein earthly eyes, there is no real emergency from which mankind needs to be saved. We will be raptured.Global chaos will reign supreme. Israel will sign a 7 year treaty. The anti-Christ will ascend to power. BRICS AKA the Kings of the East will invade the Middle East and WW3 will be in full swing. The Gog/Magog war will happen at some point in time then as well and could very well be part of the invasion ofthe Kings of the East. Men will become as rare as fine gold. over 2/3rds of the Earths population will die and JesusHimself will intervene or no flesh would be left alive. Maranatha, even so come Lord Jesus.

    Lord BlessMark
