The Trump Arrangement Syndrome

Sometimes, as a morning routine, I listen to the Chris Plante national radio show. The other morning, he played sound bites of a typical anti-Trump night-time comedian saying, with sarcasm, that it is now, since the election and inauguration, 24/7 coverage of Donald Trump, whereas before it was only 24/7 coverage of Donald Trump.

Chris Plante then said in his own humorous way: “Ahh yes…mental illness is such a terrible thing, isn’t it?  When did they all come down with the same mental illness?”

Plante was, of course, talking about what long ago became known in pseudo-psychological vernacular as the “Trump derangement syndrome” (TDS). Certainly, that widespread hatred for the now forty-seventh president of the United States wasn’t stanched by his overwhelming win in the 2024 presidential race. The Trump bashers, which include the radical left on the political spectrum, mainstream media, and almost the entire entertainment industry, continue apace in manifesting the syndrome.

One of the more amusing aspects of the ongoing hatred these TDS entities project is that they now–after Donald J. Trump’s win—seem to be joining in agreement with those of us who study Bible prophecy from the pre-Trib view. I’ve heard some of these anti-God types refer to Trump as “the Antichrist” a number of times, so I guess they now believe in Bible prophecy.

Of course, I’ve also read the charge that Mr. Trump will be the Antichrist put forward by more than a few who are presumably Christians claiming Bible prophecy as their source for such a proclamation. These, too, seem to have been infected by the Trump derangement syndrome.

Truly there has never been such a man as Donald J. Trump to so dominate presidential political headlines most every day since he came down the golden escalator at Trump Tower in New York City. Since that moment in 2016, never has any person endured at one and the same time such hatred and accolades on the national stage.

Despite the Trump derangementthe election on November 7 seems to indicate powerfully that most of America’s voting public didn’t fall for the mainstream and entertainment media-fueled Trump hatred. In spite of everything thrown at Donald J. Trump, including the proverbial kitchen sink, he has emerged as the leader that even many of his former hate-filled enemies in many cases now eagerly seek to embrace.

Those who exclusively attribute to his charismatic persona this mercurial political entity’s rise to the ultimate governmental position in the world, then his nation-rendering fall, then his rocket-like rise again is, I believe, as blind spiritually as I am physically. I, you see, am not downcast by the Trump derangement syndrome. Rather, I’m spiritually enlightened and uplifted by understanding what I call the “Trump arrangement syndrome”–a thing, as believers, we must avoid, as I hope to make clear.

This understanding begins with the knowledge that God raises up kings and brings them down:

He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and establishes kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding. (Daniel 2:21)

Donald Trump is, as I’ve written many times, not a godly man. He is, however, there is no doubt in my thinking, God’s man for this late hour of the Church Age (Age of Grace). In this sense, the term “Trump arrangement syndrome” is the right one that encapsulates this president’s ascent to the ultimate, earthly, geopolitical power. The present Trump arrangement is a matter only our Mighty God could bring into this, the prophetic hour just before He again begins dealing in a final prophetic way with His chosen people and nation, Israel.

Proof of this heavenly action–arranging Trump’s positioning–I now believe, was when God spared Trump’s life on that August 14, 2024, afternoon in Butler, Pennsylvania, for the entire world to witness. It was the God of all creation making a statement and preparing the way to get back to “business as usual, rather than allowing the reprobate thinking to be unchecked—the anti-God insanity that was moving too quickly toward satanic stage-setting for Antichrist’s rise to power.

Now let me explain. By saying “business as usual,” I’m not referring to the business of returning to normalcy in the human sense so that we can all just live happy, secure lives. That would mean God approves of the wickedness that “business as usual” has produced–business that has taken us far from Him.

The “business as usual” to which I refer is the exact kind that was going on at the time Lot, his wife, and daughters were removed from Sodom. That activity was, I believe, very much like it will be here in America—and by extension, the world—at the moment Christ next breaks in to the wicked affairs of humanity on earth.

We see how quickly this arrangement is shaping up following Trump’s return to the Oval Office. Even the technocrats–the billionaire producers of the great, advancing technologies are on board this man of destiny’s Trump Train. The president has announced the AI wonders that will constitute what he termed Stargatewhich he says will be funded by $500 billion, and immediately produce more than 100 thousand jobs.

I believe Mr. Trump truly believes this will lead to making America great again and will bring about an American Golden Age, as he puts it. Indeed, America might for a time experience an unusual uptick in economic achievement. But we must not be deluded. It all smacks of preparing the post-Rapture world for AI technological controls for the era Jesus said will be the worst of all human history.

So the Trump arrangement taking place is, I believe, Heaven preparing the world for fulfillment of Jesus’ prophecy as recorded in Luke 17:28–30.

The Lord said it will be “as it was in the days of Lot” when He is next “revealed.” Then, just like in Lot’s day, judgment will begin falling on a world that has rebelled against God.

It will be, Jesus said, at “a time you think not.” We’re told in Scripture that “It will come upon the world” “like a snare (a surprise snatching-up).”

For the Christian, we are to be watching all these developments (Mark 13: 37) We’re to notice that Israel is again in the center of all things, and that the desire for peace also is at the center of all things. We are to take notice that the world is not in as dire a situation, economically speaking, as it was looking when the Biden era came to a close. Yes. The world continues to be in an anti-God spiral downward morally, culturally, and throughout society. But now we see an almost exponentially upward spiraling economic and technologically advancing situation in America—and, by extension, worldwide—we are assured by Mr.  Trump and others.

At the same time, there are wars and rumors of wars, and all of them revolve around major players in God’s prophetic Word for the time of the end. Russia, Iran, Turkey, China–all are poised to fulfill their disastrous destinies during the Tribulation—the last seven years leading to Christ’s Second Advent.

We do not want, as believers in Jesus Christ, to get caught up into the Trump arrangement syndrome. This term means Donald Trump is going to make America great again. That syndrome is as wrongheaded as what those with the Trump derangement syndrome suffer.

I am, like you, thankful the 2024 presidential election went the way it did. The Lord arranged it, no doubt. All thanks and glory be to Him! This heavenly arrangement perhaps gives believers time to work to bring more souls into God’s family through salvation in a culture and society that remains free to do so.

At the same time, we are to be “looking up,” for our Redeemer is drawing near. The Rapture is the next event on God’s prophetic calendar!

Here again is the message to share as we go about witnessing the soul-saving power of our Lord:

That if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and will believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10: 9-10)

    Very good article, Terry.

I believe God’s purpose in giving Trump a second chance to “make America great again” is not so we can return to business as usual, with a few added benefits.

No. I believe instead it’s to provide the very resources the Church needs—uncensored social media, safer streets, protection from government persecution, and (possibly) a better economy—so we can make one final push to complete the Great Commission with the few months we have left before the Rapture.

May the Lord always keep this in front of my eyes and give me the determination to use every resource I now possess to get the Word to people who need it: repent and follow Christ while there is still time.

    Make America Godly Again

    Blessings to you all!

    Charles

Excellent commentary Terry. You summed it up perfectly. Trump is God’s man. Trump is getting things in order for thefuture 7 year tribulation, even though Trump is of the opinion that HE is making America great again. You hit the nail on the head that some people are putting their faith in Trump. They love this world and do not want to seeit end. I would venture to say that they cannot imagine anything beyond this world. Those types are going to be greatly deceived. God’s blessing upon you Terry Mark

It is very difficult for me to see anything happening today outside of a biblical lens. Scripture literally rolls over in my mind when I see all of the crazy things the globalists are struggling to implement. (Romans 1:22 is applicable to what we see “Claiming to be wise, they became fools…). They are in so much fear that their plans will be subverted. If they would read scripture, they’d discover God foretold that their plotting will, sooner or later, (I believe sooner) yield its rotten fruit, and how that turns out.

Be careful what you wish for!

Every day these verses of Psalm 2 play in my head:

    1-Why do the nations rage

and the peoples plot in vain?

2-The kings of the earth take their stand

    and the rulers gather together,

    against the LORD

    and against His Anointed One:

    3-“Let us break Their chains

    and cast away Their cords.”

    4-The One enthroned in heaven laughs;

    the Lord taunts them.

5-Then He rebukes them in His anger,

and terrifies them in His fury:

6-“I have installed My King on Zion,

    upon My holy mountain.”

Like you Terry, I believe Trump is God’s instrument to set the pieces on the cosmic chessboard in order to bring about Jacob’s Trouble.

A New Golden Age my eye! Such hubris, such wishful thinking…Yes, God laughs. Certainly, I am thrilled Trump is taking massive, unprecedented action to undo all the Satanic policies and corruption that have overtaken the world, and most clearly, in our nation. He knows we are in full-blown warfare, whether he understands that it is spiritual in nature, who knows?! He speaks often of God but his perspective is that God saved him from an assassin’s bullet to restore America and the world. It is probable he has many advisors (some of them wicked) affirming this belief.

We are truly beginning to see “the nations rage.” They are fighting against one another everywhere; nations are rising, falling, collaborating, movin away from the old, or enacting new alliances, replacing rulers and shifting borders. It is dizzying how quickly all is taking place! As Believers, many of us can see God’s sovereign hand in every move. For the remnant, what is underway is obvious.

Jesus said in Luke 21:9 “And when you hear of wars and tumults, do not be terrified, for these things must first take place, but the end will not be at once.” Jesus prophesied that much more would come; and we are assured that the Church will first be removed.

So, we watch, we pray, and we encourage one another, and share the gospel.

We see everything the Lord promised we would, which is more proof that He is Who He says He is, the Bible is the only source of TRUTH in this broken world, and God is actively carrying out the plan the Holy Trinity laid out to bring an end to sin. We can trust in all of His promises and rest in knowing our eternity secure when we are saved in Jesus.

  4. Be careful what you wish for is the thought that comes to mind as in ancient Israel wanting a ‘King’, just like the Nations had. So the Lord installed Saul and look how that turned out! I’ll admit this is perhaps just what the Lord’s intentions were the whole time since he knows the beginning from the end! He let them have Saul, so David could be the King Israel needed for such a time as this, circa some 1000 years BC. Could the same set-up be in America’s future? I’ll reserve judgement on Pres. Trump’s agenda. I voted for him thrice, but I hesitate to say he is exactly what America needs at this time. Granted his agenda–what he says outwardly–appears to support is closer to God-filled spirited mandates as opposed to the Dem’s leftist God-less agenda! Only time will tell, however, I’ll not deny my heart is skeptical of Trump’s agenda, as well as some people he’s associated himself with, especially during his 1st term. I can’t be as confident as Terry or some who’ve commented here in this forum about Trump’s second term.

    • robinlinaz's avatar robinlinaz says:

The Saul/David analogy is quite apt.

My spirit is troubled by all that I see on the world stage. Everything that happens looks to me like God is setting up the chess board; I don’t see it clearly but I know it is true. (His thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are not our ways.)

I trust the Lord and know He is in control of what is happening, and He hasn’t brought us this far into the convergence of the signs, which He graciously gave us in order to recognize His return, to stop His plans now.

I too voted for Trump 3 times. But I have never once seen him as our ‘deliverer.” He is a man, and God has appointed him for this time, to carry forth His divine purposes. I pray for Trump and our nation every day because while we have this short reprieve (and I do believe it will be short), many more souls will be redeemed.

My expectations for anyone in positions of power now are relatively low. As I’ve heard said several times since Trump won reelection, no matter who is POTUS, we can’t vote our way out of the Book of Revelation.

  5. Hi Robin, thanks for the ‘Like’! The Saul-David analogy popped in to my head this morning after reading Terry’s, yours, and other comments. You and Terry are right, He has appointed Donald Trump, and before him, another Gentile leader, King Cyrus! He let ancient Israel return, and re-build their Temple. I’ve said it here before, I do not think it’s a coincidence that Donald Trump, a developer-builder, was randomly picked by the American electorate! Either himself, or his sons, will have a key role in the re-building of the 3rd Temple. Of course, some ultra-orthodox Jews even believe there’s no such a thing as coincidence–that everything happens per God’s ordained plans! Will Pres. Trump help start this process whereby a 3rd Temple begins to take shape? I don’t know, I don’t think we’ll be here to see this even begin to take shape, let alone its actual construction. I’m sure this will be post-rapture event, as it will take the anti-christ’s wheeling and dealing to convince a world, more importantly an Islamic-Arab world to allow the construction of Israel’s 3rd Temple.

  6. robinlinaz's avatar robinlinaz says:

I agree 100%, (Mike-Michael?). I’m in the real estate business and know with today’s modern construction methods, they could get that temple built for use in 6 months or less, if they decided to. No one should underestimate the ingenious capabilities of the Jewish people; I have many Jewish friends. They are, as a people group, the smartest, hardest working human beings on the planet, all by God’s design.

Trump is meeting Netanyahu tomorrow, and certainly a strike against Iran will be discussed. Iran has nuclear weapon capabilities already, and the USA and Israel know it. It seems God made sure Trump (not Biden/Harris) and the United States, would be at the ready to aid Israel in her time of self-protection and preservation. Of course God doesn’t need any of us, but He uses the world, and everything and everyone in it, to bring about His plans.

When we, meaning our nation and the Church, have fully served His plans, in my mind, that is when the Rapture will take place. Jesus will call us up, and simultaneously, the world will descend into chaos…kicking the door wide open for ‘the man with a plan’ to step into his wicked role. All of the world’s leaders will quickly agree to anything to restore ‘peace and safety.’

It is a marvel to see that our lives continue to function without devolving into total mayhem…if you’ll forgive another game analogy, it feels like we are taking part in a global Jenga game. When that critical supporting piece is pulled out, it will all come crashing down.

    • (Dave) Yes, my career path was finance-mortgage lending, but my Dad was a builder, my brother was also in real estate like yourself. I, also, have heard a timeline for construction of a new Temple of 6-9 months working 24/7 I believe.

It’ll be interesting to see how this meeting between Trump and Netanyahoo possibly figures into anything prophetically. As far as I’ve heard lately, Israel has their Red Heifer without blemish, the Holy ritual instruments, the attire worn by Temple personnel, and the other things that will be used in a newly re-built Temple. The only thing missing is the building!

I’ve heard it said by a pastor in particular I’ve followed for some time, “when that last Gentile gets Saved, the Trumpet will sound”. What about that Jew, or Moslem who don’t believe in Jesus? They won’t go Up, but many of their friends will go, who they either knew personally or heard of somehow. Many will know exactly what happened and will look for answers in the New Testament, and possibly be part of that Great Multitude no man could number John the Revelator spoke of when he got that glimpse into Heaven!

Now, Terry believes every child will go in the Rapture, a position I’m not comfortable with because of the sin-nature even in children that we;re all born with. The age of Accountability varies with every human being regardless of their age.

      • robinlinaz's avatar robinlinaz says:

Nice to meet you Dave :).

In God’s divine plan, we are planting seeds for His kingdom. Our lives, words and faith will all become triggers to those we have encountered once we are Raptured. I try to remember this in every interaction I have with others-not easy to do, but I try.

The issue of children going in the Rapture is one I’m not clear about either. The age of accountability is very wide. And I wonder about those who have never been saved, but have committed unspeakable acts, and still being whisked into Heaven because they aren’t mature yet. It’s God’s doman, not mans; I refrain from making any kind of claim that I understand His mind on this (and many other) matters. He doesn’t clarify this in the Bible, so Deuteronomy 29:29 is applicable.

        Maranatha!

  7. Ed Wood's avatar Ed Wood says:

I have often make the comparison to our times paralleling those of Moses and Lot. Both were times of entrenched evil, making it part of “business as usual” of those times.

Now, we are seeing a temporary pause in the Woke insanity forced upon us by people, either knowingly or unknowingly, doing the devil’s work. I’m sure a lot of people think that happy days are here again and that we are back to business as usual – but the evil is still there under the surface. I think we’ll see it soon enough as the Wokesters recollect themselves and do whatever they can to thwart Mr. Trump’s efforts to turn this nation around.

I also think this is PRECISELY the kind of time that the Rapture will happen because I suspect even a lot of believers won’t be expecting it.

It could very well be that this is the year we make the move to New Jerusalem.

    • robinlinaz's avatar robinlinaz says:

Hey Ed, as it happens I just finished reading of Lot and his family in Genesis (yep, starting over again in my study Bible.) I’ve read this story many times and it still jumps off the page how Lot wasn’t anxious to get out of Sodom, and the angels finally had to drag him out before destruction came! What??? Talk about being glued to his world! Too many Christians are like that and believe we have many more years now to build our lives here.

I’m wearied by the very thought of being here another year, let alone decades.

Satan isn’t going to let up by any stretch. As Terry pointed out, he was racing headlong into the Tribulation, taking over everything he was allowed to, and rushing us into a taste of the soon-to-come, as Jesus said in Matthew 24:21 “worst days in history such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be.” God, slowed him down in order to put some remaining pieces into place, but a slow down doesn’t equate to a reverse.

A rising pushback against Trump and what he is doing is plainly underway…riots, plane crashes, fires in LA, more destructive factory incidents, etc. It is going to get much worse and we must mentally and spiritually prepared for it. And, hard as it is to believe, Trump has only been in office 2 weeks!

      • Ed Wood's avatar Ed Wood says:

For decades I really never made long range plans, something that intensified nine years ago when I developed Stage 4 heart failure. I pretty much took each day as it came. This outlook was reinforced a year and a half ago when I was, shall we say, “taken off-world” for ten minutes quite unexpectedly.

Now I have never been extravagant and I have what I consider a pretty comfortable life down here. I have enough money and even some extra to get by each month and I really don’t lack for anything. I’m pretty fortunate compared to a lot of people.

Yet, I will leave here with no regrets and, as far as I can tell, no unfinished business – though maybe there is some of which I am unaware, having come back from that cardiac arrest. I even got my will made out last month! So, I make the most of each day and whenever it’s time for me to make that final exit, that’ll be fine with me.

My bags are packed – I’m ready to go!

  8. robinlinaz's avatar robinlinaz says:

I’m right behind you Ed, I’ve got my Rapture Helmet on every day.
