Book review by Terry James
It is a genuine gratifying matter to offer this review of this book by my close personal friend, Gary Ritter.
Gary W. Ritter, with whom I’ve worked within Bible prophecy book publication, is a retired lay pastor, Bible teacher, and prolific author. His fiction work explores dystopian end-times events in light of the supernatural aspects of Scripture. Gary writes weekly Commentaries that look at the world through the prophetic lens of the Bible. His insights about these latter days bring the truth of Christ’s kingdom to those seeking answers. You can see, hear, and read his latest teachings on his website blog at GaryRitter.com.
And with this volume, Gary gets right to the heart of these end times machinations we are witnessing.
Antichrist’s Killing Fields is a dystopian, supernatural thriller based on the truth of Bible prophecy revealed in the Book of Revelation. It focuses on the Jewish response in Israel to worldwide antisemitism and the deceit that will cause many in that nation to lose their lives during the most horrible seven years the world has ever known.
Will Israel survive the Great Tribulation? Has God forsaken His Chosen People? Zivia must navigate a world of danger and persecution as she grapples with her identity as a religious Jew in contrast to the New Testament Gospel’s proclamation of Yeshua as Messiah. But as the Antichrist rises to power and the Day of the Lord’s Wrath progresses, Zivia’s faith will be put to the ultimate test. Can she participate in Yahweh’s plan to bring light to a world gone mad? Or will she succumb to the forces of evil and lose everything she holds dear?
In a future where the Jewish state has expanded into “Greater Israel” and faces intense worldwide hatred and oppression, Zivia takes on the dangerous task of facilitating Aliyah, the return of Jews from the diaspora to their God-given homeland. But when she travels to America and Switzerland with her best friend, Rivka, a follower of Yeshua, their mission becomes even more perilous. In the Time of Jacob’s Trouble (Jeremiah 30: 7,) as Jews are rounded up and persecuted, Zivia must confront difficult questions about her faith and her people’s rejection of the Gospel of Christ.
Antichrist’s Killing Fields provides an intriguing look at the dystopia of the Tribulation from an Israeli perspective. If you truly want to know what’s going on in headlines we face today from and about Israel, this book portrays very likely scenarios as to where it is all leading humanity as Christ’s Return approaches.
If you have read Gary’s previous novels like Tribulation Rising and the subsequent novels of the apocalypse in that series, you know that you will absolutely love this related story!
I have read few works by writers of Bible prophecy, either fiction or non-fiction, that rise to the heights of excellence as do the works of my great friend Gary W. Ritter! I can’t recommend in glowing enough terms this story by whom I consider one of the best novelists of our times.
