Evil Persists While History Repeats

In the book Antichrist and the Final Solution, Tom Horn and I laid out the case for Satan’s ages-long war against humanity. The devil’s methodologies have changed only in nuance over the millennia. The battle of Ephesians 6:12 rages more violently than ever while the Second Advent of Jesus Christ nears.

The first chapter of the book ends after going over modern history’s vilest dictatorships and how they acted as Satan’s human minions to wreak the most heinous atrocities imaginable on mankind.

The bottom line of the book’s thrust is a warning wrapped up in the words of George Santayana: “Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.”

The following are the closing paragraphs of that chapter.

The thing that makes these mass murderers perhaps even worse than Adolf Hitler and the Nazis is the fact that the victims of Stalin and Mao consisted mostly of their own people. Stalin’s purges and Mao’s cultural revolution brutalized their own citizenry in ways that Hitler would have no doubt admired.

Again, it is good to remember the words of wise observers of the human condition and the way history has a way of repeating. “Those who do not know history’s mistakes are doomed to repeat them,” said Edmund Burke. Lest we think that evil men have changed in their capability to perpetrate horrendous atrocities against their fellow man, we should heed Santayana and Burke’s words. If we forget that the thought to inflict evil intentions on others resides within the human, sin-blackened mind, we’ll eventually suffer consequences of that forgetfulness.

Absolute control of all of humankind was in the mind of the first rebel, Lucifer. Man has, through that being’s seduction, been infected with evil that has potential to afflict others with brutality exactly like that demonstrated by Hitler, Stalin, Mao, and every other deadly tyrant of history. To forget this lesson of the evil that lurks within the human mind and heart is to invite would-be tyrants of the future to take our liberties and even our lives.

But mankind—most of us—either has forgotten the admonition of those like Santayana, Burke, and Kissinger, or we’re simply too busy going about life’s daily movement to pay attention.

Throughout the four years since 2016, we have witnessed the hate-filled actions and activities of a cabal of those who have sought to overthrow a duly-elected president. By this ongoing attempted anti-constitutional activity, they exhibit the same dark desire to take away liberty—to control the American electorate. They, it is over abundantly clear, won’t stop until they have the power to themselves they believe they, alone, should have over the rest of us.

All that we have witnessed by this deep-state, globalist-eliteattempt at accomplishing their silent coup d’état is but a precursor of things to come.

One is coming who will make Adolf Hitler and his henchmen look like Cub Scouts. He will make Josef Stalin, Mao tse-Tung, and all tyrants of history seem like choirboys. The result of this one’s reign over most of planet earth will be the death of as much as three-fourths of humanity.

Jesus Christ—the greatest of all prophets, because He is God, Himself—said about the time of this wicked person’s rule on earth:

For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened. (Matthew 24:21–22)

It’s terrifying to consider that a time is coming that will be worse than any ever experienced to this point in history! But Jesus says just such a time is scheduled in earth’s storm-cloud-obscured future.

There are men right at this moment, while you’re reading this, who would enslave you in order to bring about their idea of Utopia. And there will be a man who will succeed in doing just that, if you’re living upon the planet during that most horrendous time.

The Bible calls this man by several names. “Antichrist”is the one most often used, as in the title of this volume. He will have his own Final Solution in dealing with bringing his satanically controlled regime into being.

He is a “beast,”according to God’s Word. That is, he will have a beastly nature—like Hitler, Stalin, Mao, and the others. But Antichrist will be much, much more powerful, more deadly than they were.

He will have his own version of Hitler’s propaganda minister Josef Goebbels. This false prophet is called the “second beast.”He will force everyone to worship the image of Antichrist.

And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. (Revelation 13:15)

We can see, as we look around the geopolitical, socioeconomic, and religious landscape of the hour, the stage being set for the rise of Antichrist. His Final Solutionis being prepared even now for all those who inhabit this earthly sphere when he steps upon the stage to rule during the final years of earth’s history leading up to Christ’s Second Advent.

We have, perhaps, now entered the very last days before the world moves into the Tribulation—Daniel’s seventieth week. Antichrist’s regime will make all other dictatorships pale in comparison.

Can we see any concrete evidence that evil persists while history is repeating?

Consider the following.

The end-times storm continues to brew, the forewarning flags beginning to snap and stand straight out, the seas and waves of Luke 21:25 roaring not far offshore.

We can hear that roaring in the words of the soon-to-be candidate, now vice president of the United States, who was unequivocal in her threat. Kamala Harris said the following on June 18, 2020:

And once Trump’s gone and we have regained our rightful place in the White House, look out if you supported him and [his] actions, because we will be coming for you next. You will feel the vengeance of a nation. No stone will be left unturned as we seek you out in every corner of the nation. For it is you [Christians, Jews, Patriots] who have betrayed us.

Wittingly or not, the first female vice president of the US seems to harbor the luciferian hatred for Christians and Jews held by the dictatorships of the past. That hatred is because of the following Heaven-directed intervention.

Christ came to seek and to save lost mankind. He came in human flesh through the Jewish race. He then established His Church—Christianity, all who believe in His death, burial, and resurrection for the salvation of their souls.

The war against God’s chosen people, the Jews, and against His people, the Church, is intensifying by the hour.

But the forces arrayed against both of God’s chosen—Jews and Christians—are destined to lose.

The Lord of all creation has promised that Israel will be a nation forever. He has promised that the gates of Hell will not prevail against His Church.

So evil is on the march, and history is about to repeat as construction of Antichrist’s wicked world order is almost upon us. But those who belong to Christ won’t be part of the final act now beginning to play out on the stage of human history.

We will be with the Lord as He brings the curtain down on Satan’s futile war-making at Armageddon.

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. (Revelation 19:11–14)

There’s Method to the Madness

I’m in agreement with my close friend and colleague in Bible prophecy commentary, Daymond Duck. I read where he wrote in effect that he really would like to move away from things surrounding the evils of the political, societal, and cultural war today and deal with strictly Bible prophecy study. But all of this is so closely related to where this generation stands on God’s prophetic timeline that, for the moment, at least, I, like Daymond, must deal yet again with these matters.

It is all maddening to those who still retain rationality while observing the things going on. It’s maddening because thinking from the other side—the side that wants to change America from the nation founded upon Judeo-Christian principles to one along the lines championed by Marx and Mao—seems to have lost all sanity in their plans to force us into compliance. This, we have alluded to before, is because, as Paul points out in Romans chapter 1, their rejection of God has caused development of the collective reprobate mind of verse 28.

Evangelist Mike Gendron correctly assesses a large part of the American populace turning their backs on God.

America has become a moral cesspool that is overflowing with ungodliness, unrighteousness and wickedness. Our government has given women the right to murder their babies in the womb, and as a result, tens of millions of human beings have been killed in abortion clinics. Sexual perversions of all types are defiantly flaunted and widely accepted. God’s unique design for marriage was overturned in a landmark decision by the Supreme Court in 2013. Our country has also become the largest supplier of pornography throughout the world. These are all symptoms of a greater evil which is the sin of idolatry (Col. 3:5). Our nation has turned its back on the one true God by worshipping gods of all the false religions (Exo. 20:3). As a nation, we should no longer ask for God’s blessings but instead expect His judgment. “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness” (Rom. 1:18). (Mike Gendron, “Let us not lose heart,” February 1, 2021, wwwproclaimingthegospel.org)

Again, half of the voting population, it is evident from developments since the 2020 presidential election, have observably rejected Heaven’s prescription for living under godly morality. The problems that have burgeoned in the nation’s division are from those who want America transformed and are determined to brutally enforce quickly accumulating executive dictates. Yet those against America as founded blame those of us who want to continue life under the Constitution as framed by men who claimed our rights as God-given to be the troublemakers.

They continue to tell lies through every venue available. Yet their chief cry as of late is that it is those who oppose their lawlessness and godlessness who are telling the “big lie.” The “big lie” accusation by the man currently occupying the White House claims that political opposition in constantly proclaiming the election to be fraudulent is alien in the same vein of Adolf Hitler’s and Josef Goebbels’ “Big lie” against the Jews that eventually brought on the Holocaust and the genocide against Europe’s Jewish people.

The following article excerpt explains to some extent.

[President Joe Biden and his cohorts accuse] President Donald Trump, Sen. Ted Cruz, and Sen. Josh Hawley of a “Big Lie” ; Rep. Mazie Hirono went on Anderson Cooper to accuse the Republican senators of a “Big Lie”; Dominion Voting Systems has alleged a “Big Lie” in their lawsuit against Rudy Giuliani; Jake Tapper has used the term repeatedly on Twitter and on air to describe allegations of fraud in the 2020 election.

Bloomberg explained the analogy in September: “Adolf Hitler and Goebbels, his minister of propaganda, espoused a technique known as the ‘Big Lie,’ which involved repeating a colossal falsehood until the public came to believe it was true.”…

[In his book, Mein Kamf] Hitler charges the Jews with destabilizing society by promulgating a big lie—the narrative that provided a sinister rationale for the detainment and mass murder of the Jewish people.

In the Hitler/Goebbels “Big Lie” analogy flowing freely from the mouths of Biden, Tapper, and others, the accuser would be analogous to Hitler, and the person being accused of lying would be analogous to the Jews.

In other words, the Hitlerian strategy is to accuse one’s enemies of using a “Big Lie” to gain and consolidate control. To accuse your opponent of a “Big Lie” is to borrow a murderous, anti-Semitic slander directly from “Mein Kampf”—and to align oneself with Hitler in the analogy. (Noelle Garnier, “The left keeps accusing conservatives of ‘The Big Lie’—a term invented by Hitler as he prepared to persecute German Jews, TheNationalPulse.com, Rapture Ready News, January 29, 2021)

So, to try to clear up a deliberately convoluted tactic by the present regime in the White House, the administration and their many mouthpieces are accusing those who claim the election was stolen through fraud are evil like Hitler. These rant that to claim the 2020 election fraudulent through illegal mail-in votes and the crooked Dominion Voting System is a Nazi tactic, using a “Big Lie” in the way Hitler employed the tactic.

In fact, it is these leftist operatives who are doing the very thing they accuse their opposition of doing. They are using Nazi-like methods with their “Big Lie” against those who see and report the fraud the left has perpetrated.

So there is method to their madness. All lies are from the father of lies, Lucifer the fallen one. His method hasn’t changed since the time of the Garden of Eden when He told Eve, upon tempting her to eat of the forbidden fruit, “Ye shall not surely die.”

Let us pray that many will turn from the father of lies to the Father of Truth, and be saved from the sin that ensnares them.

Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness; In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began. (Titus 1:1–2)

Terry’s New Novel Set for Release!

Terry James’ novel on spiritual warfare, The Rapture Dialogues, was released in 2006. He and Phillip Goodman, host of the Mid-America Prophecy Conference in Tulsa, OK, presented four programs on Bible prophecy and the spiritual warfare of Ephesians 6:12. (See the links to those programs below.)

Since those times, that warfare has increased tremendously, making the programs more relevant now than ever. Things going on surrounding today’s society and culture have become so debased that we can’t miss the evil that is growing by the hour.

Jesus Christ is about to step out upon the clouds of glory and shout “Come up here!” The Rapture is imminent, and these programs show the nearness of that stupendous event.

The novel series, titled The Second Coming Chronicles, next presented the second story, The Nephilim Imperatives, a couple of years later.

The third of the series, The Minion Protocols, by Terry James and Gary Ritter, will be released in a few days. The story, although fictional, weaves foretelling from God’s Word into truth about our troubled times that cannot be missed or dismissed.

This generation is at the very end of the age, near the moment when Christ will call to the Church and millions will disappear in a fraction of a second.

All three novels of the series will shortly be available to order in a set, in a number of formats such as paperback, Kindle, and others.

Be watching for their release!

God’s Awesome Control

Boy has yours truly been off in his assessment of America with regard to God’s power to control events!

At present, it seems it’s over for the nation in terms of ever returning to any semblance of that envisioned by its founding fathers. Those who are believers in Jesus Christ as mankind’s only hope are filled with worry and dark expectations for the future. This state of many Christians is somewhat of an oxymoron, or would that be a paradox, or even, possibly, a dichotomy?

At any rate, it smacks of being a contradiction in terms. We look to the Creator of all that is as our blessed hope (Titus 2:13) and yet we look at our future as full of extreme gloom. As the Apostle Peter might say, “My brethren, such things ought not be…”

I was reflecting back in the nation’s recent history and came across just how naïve I’ve been about the Lord’s ability to shape, move, and restrain evil in America and the world.

I’ll try to demonstrate. The following is a lengthy excerpt from an article or chapter I believe I wrote around the time of my book The American Apocalypse, which Harvest House published back in 2009.

Change that was promised as part of the American presidential campaign leading to the 2008 election of Barack Hussein Obama is rapidly taking on form and substance. Its monstrous reality no longer lurks about in the shadows of diplomatic obfuscation designed to misdirect and divert. I am convinced we are witnessing the emergence of the end-times entity Daniel and John foresaw under divine revelation.

Acceleration of developments in every area of US global interaction brings focus and magnification to the fact that America is being deliberately and masterfully diminished—brought into configuration for purposes of producing governing authority of immensely ominous scope and power.

Prophecy students have for decades puzzled over the fact that smaller nation-states, like Libya, Syria, even Egypt, are mentioned as having prophetic prominence in the Bible. Yet, the greatest super power ever to exist on Planet Earth doesn’t rate even a slight mention, except obliquely, perhaps, in Ezekiel 38: 13, as one of the “young lions.” What happens to the great United States of America that relegates it to a non-player as prophecy comes to culmination?

The church today, and there is but one people within that designation—all truly born-again believers in Jesus Christ—is, for the most part, deliriously happy within its almost total ignorance of biblically prophesied things to come. The majority don’t know about what is prophetically scheduled to happen to their world. They don’t want to know, and are protected in their ignorance by pastors and teachers who harbor the same attitude.

Those within the church who do know and care are, mostly trepidatious about the prospects for America and the world. The trepidation ranges the spectrum from: the US will suffer total economic melt-down and degeneration into chaos and anarchy that will bring about dictatorship and incarceration in FEMA camps, to America will become so weakened that she will be nuked out of existence by the likes of Russia, China, and even maybe a soon-to-be nuclear Iran.

If I may be so audacious, I will propose the third possibility I believe I see clearly now as the terminus for this once great republic. To be honest, I have suspected this will be the scenario for America all along, and have written of my suspicion in a number of essays.

I believe the change promised by the current presidential administration, as part of that being orchestrated over the past several decades, is at this very moment bringing the US into the foretold union to be ruled by history’s most lawless tyrant. The disregard by this president for the US Constitution, in itself a totally lawless modus operandi, in conjunction with a Congress that hasn’t the fortitude to oppose this iniquitous action, is, itself, proof we are in the time of America’s demise and Antichrist’s ascent.

No. I am not saying Barack Obama is the prophesied first beast of Revelation chapter 13. This president is, however, in concert with several administrations previous, and with the help of the many globalist movers and shakers over the past decades and even centuries, complicit in forcing this apex nation into the globalist mold.

The force behind the globalist agenda has been incessantly at work to impress upon the American populace—and the world at large—that the United States is an unjust, even a criminally oppressive state.

Did you get all that? The vast majority of those who were Christians gave developments in the presidential election of 2008 little thought. Those of us who watched what was going on in prophetic stage-setting were thinking America was finished as it was founded.

It is about the same at this very moment. Most are going about their daily, minute-by-minute lives with little or no regard that America is dissolving before their apparently uncaring gazes. Those of us who still do watch for Him, our blessed hope, are even more convinced with these turn of events that America’s days are likely over as founded.

Both attitudes miss the mark as they stand at opposite ends of the matter. Those who don’t seem to be concerned are being mesmerized by the grand delusion that everything is unchanged and will eventually settle in to the old normality. Those who worry that this time—this time—it’s over for our nation are forgetting just who our God is. That is, we are forgetting the awesome power He wields.

The 2016 presidential election, we thought, was lost. Now the global order would swallow the last vestiges of liberty we enjoyed under the Constitution. That much-feared candidate would soon have us in FEMA camps…or worse.

Then the Lord’s mighty right hand clamped down upon the wildly spinning out of control situation. A Make America Great Again reality show celebrity was thrust into the mix and did the impossible. He won!

The next four years were spent in reversing the globalist course, while the proponents of such went absolutely berserk with rage that their plans had been halted. God, in Heaven, had not the least bit of strain in clamping down. He will have no trouble doing so now—when and howsoever He chooses.

I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else. (Isaiah 45:5-6)

Comfort

I believe that most within the Christian family aren’t the least bit concerned with the evil going on in American’s swiftly changing cultural, social, and political landscape. However, I’m equally convinced that most who read these commentaries are extremely concerned and growing more so by the day.

Analyzing the many actions being taken—and contemplated—by those newly installed after the 2020 presidential election, I’m certain that, this time, those in power intend to administer the coup de grâce to all opposition to their globalist ambitions. They believe they have the power to do so, it’s becoming more obvious by the hour. They will quickly and thoroughly determine and put into law—mostly through executive orders—how we will serve them, instead of the other way around.

They intend not to make the mistakes of their most previous time (the Obama administration) of having both the executive and legislative branches under their control and failing to totally vanquish their political enemies. This time they’re determined to finish off the Republic as founded and reshape it into one they believe will reside at the head of the developing, changed world order. There will be no more upstart, populist-type celebrities—or anyone else—allowed to delay implementation of their blueprint for their utopian dream.

Well now…the title of our essay is “Comfort.” There certainly isn’t any comfort in what I’ve written so far, I’m aware. However, I assure that much comfort can be gleaned from the political machinations taking place at such a rapid pace. And you don’t have to take my word for it, but the Word of the Creator of all things, which assures that there is comfort to be taken from all the current stage-setting for fulfillment of prophecy yet future.

No one in the Bible’s accounting went through more trials and hardships than Paul, with the possible exception of Job. No one but Paul wrote more thoroughly regarding things that will be transpiring as the time Christ’s call to the Church nears. We see the great apostle’s concern for the assemblies of believers he ministered to throughout his journeys and imprisonments.

Paul foresaw developments that will be pressing upon the believers at the end of the Church Age. Through all of his prophesying, there was one major, thematic impression straight from God’s heart. Believers, while being deluged with evil as the time of Rapture nears, are to be “comforted” with the words Paul was given to prophesy.

We have looked at some examples of this numerous times. Being comforted revolves powerfully around Christ’s imminent Rapture call to believers, asleep and alive, while the world is in process of coming apart. Here are some of those verses:

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” (1 Thessalonians 4:16–18)

“For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way…Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.” (2 Thessalonians 2:7, 15–17)

“Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.” (2 Corinthians 1:3–4)

“For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.” (1 Thessalonians 5:9–11)

While the wickedness around us seemingly grows by the minute, we are instructed to hold fast to God’s promises—especially the one that His Son, Jesus, is on the way. Again, we hold fast to the following:

“And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” (Luke 21:28)

We are to take comfort from all of these end-times developments. Admittedly, that’s easier said than done. But it can, and should, be done. All of these troubling things going on mean our Lord is on the cusp of intervening in the most stupendous event this side of the Second Advent.

Jesus Christ has told us that we will experience “tribulation” during life on earth. This means, in this case, troubles, but not the Tribulation (Daniel’s seventieth week). The Lord will call all believers to Himself. His words, therefore, are made gloriously understandable.

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

Therefore Paul’s words were never truer:

“Be [anxious] for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6–7)

While there is time, let us witness of Christ’s saving power to those around us in our daily lives.

Critical and Powerful Message to America from Jonathan Cahn

The message by Messianic Christian pastor Jonathan Cahn is one that seems written by the hand of God.
It offers perhaps a final admonition to all of America, but especially to Christian pastors and all true believers in Jesus Christ.
It is a most powerful warning to Anti-God forces in the nation and the world.
Please listen carefully.

How Long, Oh Lord?

These troubled days, one question burns at the center of every believer who adheres to the pre-Trib view of the Rapture. I’ve heard it many times through personal conversation and email ”How long will it be until the Lord says ‘enough is enough’ and calls us home?”

I’ve asked it myself on more than one occasion. But I’ve long since put the question somewhere closer to the back of my thinking. The reason, I suspect, is because I’ve finally got it through my hard head that our Lord wants me to prioritize efforts toward completion of the assignment He has given me while in this life.

Heaven’s bottom line is that I wouldn’t be here during these increasingly troubled times if there is no purpose, according to my Creator. Knowing that He has promised to take us to our homes He has been preparing for us is a comforting truth He’s expressed numerous times in His Holy Word. The more firmly we trust Him to keep that promise, the greater the comfort. Now is the time to trust and get on down that pathway He wants us to follow.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5–6)

All that said, there is certainly justification, in my view, for the angst-ridden question: How long, oh Lord? How long will believers have to be subjected to the proliferating end-times evil assaulting society and culture? When will God say “enough is enough” and have His Son step out on the clouds of glory and shout “Come up here!”?

Jesus, while speaking to His immediate disciples on the Mount of Olives, gave the very first indicator to look for that would lead to all other signals of His Second Advent. He said that there would be great deception and many deceivers on the scene at the end of the age. The cumulative indicators of His Second Coming, he addressed a little later in His discourse.

And when ye shall see all these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your head, for your redemption draweth nigh. (Luke 21:28)

Can anyone legitimately deny that we have in recent months and years witnessed deception that is in our faces during every news broadcast, podcast, or electronic and print forum? The mainstream media, both news and entertainment, have been purveyors of their special brand of this indicator. Deception and deceivers pervade and permeate our lives each and every news cycle.

The former president who just left office properly termed the deceptive practices of journalists “fake news.” Paul the apostle said the following of such that will be prevalent as the Lord’s return nears:

But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived (2 Timothy 3:13, NKJV)

With the daily diatribes by all the mainstream media that consistently lied, thus brought to the office of president a candidate many consider an imposter because of what they believe to be election fraud, the New King James version certainly seems to fit. Deception of the sort Jesus and Paul pronounced upon the end-times generation seems quite appropriate.

Jesus’ words that times would be just like in the days of Noah and of Lot make it seem to many prophecy watchers as if He was speaking specifically of these very days that make us ask: “How long, oh Lord?”

Observing the anger and destruction of the thugs who burned down much of America’s cities during 2020 brings into sharp focus the words in Genesis chapter 6: “violence filled the whole earth.” Assessing the state of our nation and the world in the matter of the satanic forces normalizing what was a few years ago aberrant sexual behavior and deviancy quickly brings realization that the days of Lot prophesied by the Lord Jesus are quite likely the days we’re currently living in.

At last count, there are twenty-seven nations where gay marriage is legal. The Sodom level of sexual immorality and deviancy has just in recent years reached a zenith. Gay rights and all attendant to the perversions it has wrought, such as transgenderism, have torn apart society and culture and done irreparable harm to foundational morality. The youth of America and the world have been victim of inculcation by Sodom-like organizations such as the LBGQTI. The family and its traditional stability have been vitally diminished.

Every day, believers who are paying attention and have the truth of Christ’s words in their spiritual hearts say, “How long, oh Lord?” We’re wise to read again and again the words by our Lord while thinking on this question we’re are asking.

I know all the arguments from those who hold vehemently to the seminary line about the Olivet Discourse being for the Jews only, so don’t write hotly accusing me of misinterpreting these words recorded here. I believe the fig tree here refers to Israel. I believe Jesus is speaking of His next catastrophic intervention into mankind’s evil history–the Rapture. I believe He addresses to some extent the answer to our question of “how long?”.

Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. (Matthew 24:32–36)

Be assured and comforted! Our Lord’s words in Luke 21:28 are almost certainly for this generation!

Anticipating Prophetic Cry for Peace and Safety

The single most prominent contribution, perhaps, in President Trump’s dealing with Israel involved deescalating movement toward war in the region.

Despite outcries from every quarter when Mr. Trump officially declared Jerusalem Israel’s capital, then his ordering the American Embassy moved to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv, calm has prevailed. There has been lower temperature in the region rather than elevation of heated conflict.

A big part of the success in keeping the potential for war at a relatively low level was the Trump administration’s reversal of the previous administration’s nuclear deal with Iran. The Iranian fanatic dictators—the Muslim ayatollahs—had their financial windfalls cut off abruptly by the “outsider candidate” that came to the presidency in January of 2017.

The Obama administration had rewarded bad behavior and threats by doing things like delivering billions of dollars in cash on pallets on darkened runways at night. Trump reversed this by cutting off funds belonging to Iran in US vaults by forbidding access to those funds by the Iranian regime.

Additionally, Trump’s State Department—though in some cases, reluctantly by the deep-state sort embedded there—put economy-breaking sanctions on the regime. This, in turn, caused population uprisings among Iran’s people because of food shortages and other sanction-engendered hardships.

Even liberal, geopolitical observers had to admit that, strangely, the Iranian people, rather than blaming America, placed blame squarely on the ayatollah dictators for their plight.

To the day of Donald J. Trump’s leaving the presidency, Iran’s black-hearted leadership was searching for ways to get America to loosen sanctions. They tried everything from threats of attacking ships in the Gulf of Hormuz to promising to send terror squads to infiltrate American cities.

Never was there “nice talk” of peaceful resolution from the pernicious Persians. But as soon as it became clear that Biden had won the presidential race, the Iranians began “nice talk” of welcoming the same nuclear deal that Mr. Obama and John Kerry had arranged.

Still, however, Iran’s hostility toward America and Israel was not quelled.

They blatantly began to openly let be known that they were again working on nuclear projects, not even hiding that this includes uranium processing for weapons-grade, fissile material.

It is more than obvious that the dangers are building. Iran is on track to produce the nuclear weapon that Donald Trump declared they would never have.

Indeed, they apparently haven’t been able to produce such a weapon to this point. But it is now a matter of time, if the Biden administration, as it seems to be promising, goes back to the nuclear deal of Obama and Kerry. It is almost certain that if the regime of the Muslim terrorists have their way like they did prior to Trump’s presidency, people not only in Israel, but all over the world, will soon be crying for “peace and safety.”

The International Atomic Energy Agency, an international organization for overseeing nuclear programs, announced last Wednesday that Iran has begun work on uranium metal-based fuel for a research reactor in contravention of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) signed in 2015. The deal bans Iran from producing or acquiring uranium metal until 2030 and, in return, removed economic sanctions that had been in place. Uranium metal, a material that can be used in the core of a nuclear bomb, has no civilian uses but is essential for a nuclear weapons program.

France, Britain, and Germany, who are still adhering to the terms of the JCPOA which they co-signed, joined in condemning the move:

“We strongly encourage Iran to end this activity, and return to full compliance with its commitments under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action without delay, if it is serious about preserving this agreement,” the three countries’ governments said in a joint statement.

It is expected that Iran will begin producing the uranium metal within five months. (“Iran to Begin Producing Uranium Metal for Nuclear Weapons Program,” by Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz, The Israel BibleTM, January 19, 2021)

With the new administration’s leaning toward total recommitment to the Iran nuclear deal, Israel’s options for dealing with a revitalized Iranian nuclear-weapons program are becoming fewer. The prophecy of Elam being destroyed might be on their docket—the mountainous area where much of Iran’s nuclear laboratories are said to be operating. It seems now to be only a matter of time, short of heavenly intervention.

And then there is the tremendous economic and geopolitical boost in the Chinese regime that looks to be in the offing with the coming in of the Democrat-controlled US government. They see China as a “competitor,” not as an enemy to be feared, despite the hegemonic, even overtly aggressive military actions by the CCP in the South China Sea, around Taiwan, and in other parts of the region.

The cry for “peace and safety” will shortly be on the rise, I have no doubt. But this also has a silver lining. Such a time is prophesied to be the moment of that great, anticipated instant in human history that will be an astonishing event to the entire world.

But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober… Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. (1 Thes 5:1–6, 11)

And in conclusion…

My former work life included being creative director for advertising agencies and public relations director for several corporate entities. My favorite part of the work was creating ad campaigns or PR promotional institutional campaigns for the companies and/or products they sold.

I was always interested in the creative billboards that were then strung along America’s highways. Billboards had to be minimal in number of words and yet make an instantaneous impact upon those whose eyes quickly scanned them.

The whole purpose was to relate the words or graphic—or both—with the company or product being advertised by the billboard.

My favorite of all time was for a funeral home. I don’t remember what funeral home or in what city. I’m sure there were several copycats because it was such a profoundly to-the-point message to swiftly passing people.

The billboard said simply: “And in conclusion…”

What better could be said for a funeral home service? That was probably the most comprehensive statement of all advertising ever given within three words.

The message was all-inclusive, wrapping up the finality of life that has spanned howsoever long. Now the funeral home’s services would put the exclamation mark on one’s life. It was both clever and effective like no other advertising message I can remember.

In America, every person who viewed it had in the back of his or her mind somewhere that he or she would one day need the service wrapped up in those three words. Most who saw the message were, I’m sure, like me, both amused and made aware of the 100 percent assuredness of one’s own mortality. Death is a sure thing, everyone understands.

Well. Not quite.

I’m not now in the business of advertising with clever lines such as “And in conclusion…” as an adman. Rather, I consider myself in the business of giving out the message worded in the same way, but profoundly different from the one inferred by the passersby who read that clever billboard back in the day. I offer another assuredness. There is the infinitely different “conclusion” that is spread across God’s great billboard—the Bible.

As a matter of fact, if I were to apply my old advertising-guy cleverness to expressing an ad for God’s message, I would probably put on that Billboard something like…well… “And in conclusion….” I couldn’t improve on that message. The difference is the product being advertised would be different—infinitely different!

The ad would be to let people know that at the conclusion of life is not death—rather, it is life eternal. The message is that to buy into this prospect of living for all eternity in a glorious place beyond imagination, Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14: 6)!.

Now, as a possessor of this guarantee of eternal life in Jesus, I can testify that included within those three words—“And in conclusion…”—Jesus in your life means you might not die physically. Death is no longer a 100 percent guarantee as a “conclusion.”

Jesus has promised to come and take those who have trusted in Him directly to homes He has been building just for them. He put it this way:

Let not your heart be troubled, you believe in God, believe also in me. In my father’s house are many mansions. If it were not so I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. If I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you unto myself, that where I am there you may be also. (John 14:1–3)

Jesus was foretelling a “mystery” that the Apostle Paul would later reveal. Paul wrote the following.

Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? (1 Corinthians 15:51–55)

No death! No funeral home! Now that’s some conclusion!

Time to Take Comfort

“This is going to be a very dark winter.” That quote made by presidential candidate Joe Biden during a debate both expressed and set the nation’s mood for the beginning of 2021 and beyond.

He made the comment later, for a second time, while staring into the camera somberly while fully masked. It seemed more than a political utterance that was meant to shape the electorate’s desire for someone prepared to deal effectively with COVID-19.

By the time Biden made the comment, the national mood was already one of dark expectations. Mr. Biden’s party, aided and assisted by its propaganda arm—the mainstream media, both news and entertainment, and the social media, anti-free speech giants—had already brought the American people to a point of fear and frustration. They had divided us right down the middle, setting in motion movement along the track of civil war.

The China/deep-state/leftist-manufactured coronavirus pandemic had done its work. People were, and continue to be, huddling in trepidation and willing to go along with globalist demands, both current and future.

Little thought or worry were or are now forthcoming from fully one-half of America’s citizenry concerning the very real possibility that the nation faces at the very least European-style socialism. More and more for the other half, there is growing realization that we might be facing something far worse: not just socialism, but complete lockdown of Orwellian proportions by anti-constitutionalists and anti-God forces intent on completely shutting down liberties written into our founding documents.

Everywhere we look, we see mounting evidence that people have already been cowered into that dystopian corner portrayed in the novel 1984. Everyday life is being swallowed up by the onrush of building stage-setting for Antichrist’s regime of complete control as presented in Revelation chapter 13.

A long-time friend of the Rapture Ready website recently wrote an email that personifies the state of that future society we already face. The personal snapshot of the experience would be humorous if not so serious in its evil portent.

In part, our friend said the following.

I went for a ride this morning, I wake up feeling so bad, I thought a ride and fresh air would help. I got out of the car at a park, took deep breaths, I felt a little better. Then I walked to a nearby pet store to pick up my cat food.

We have to stay outside the store, I stood over a foot away from the door, there was a desk blocking the way to the store and the clerk came over. I was outside in the open, more than 2 feet away from the clerk and the first thing he told me that my mask is not properly covering my nose and to fix it.

I fixed my mask, got the bag and left agitated by his behavior, I went to another store, dropped stuff out of agitation, I picked them and left the store quickly after only getting the stuff I needed most.

I called the store to talk to a manager, I knew what the outcome would be, yet I still picked up the phone and the manager went on about how people have to wear their masks properly.

I kept telling her that I was outside the store, nowhere near the clerk, and he should at least say “Hi” something,……………not the first thing I hear is to adjust my mask.

She went on a rant about our responsibility to protect each other and when I told her I was outside the building  a good distance from that guy,  she said: “common sense is that people have to make sure their masks are on properly before approaching a store.”

I felt my blood starting to boil, I said: So now, I don’t have common sense?

Anyway, I told the manager, it is nice for the employees to at least say “hi” to a person and not start by asking them to adjust their mask.

She said: is that what you want, I said “yes”, she said ok next time we will say Hi before we ask someone to adjust their mask.

I was so agitated. I shouted out to God about how much longer are we going to put up with this world…”

Actually, I can relate to the experience. While visiting my dermatologist for a check-up, my wife was helping me with a face mask. (I wear one only when absolutely required to do so. Therefore, I’m quite inept.)

A woman was quite agitated nearby. So much so that she began instructing, with irritation in her voice, how my mask should be placed. She then rushed from the room, we figure, because my adjustment was too slowly accomplished.

I, of course, laughed heartily, but Margaret was quite irritated with the lady’s ill-tempered attempt to make sure we did it right.

It was a lesson to me of how people are being turned into proverbial lemmings in preparation for implementing the “new normal” with which the Re-setters want us to comply.

But the foregoing experiences are whimsical compared to what is coming. The supposed winners of the just-concluded presidential election are vowing to come down hard on anyone and everyone who supported the other candidate in any way. They have the most powerful, anti-God forces in the world—plus the minions in high places of Ephesians 6:12 on their side.

Looking at all the troubling things going on in that way makes it seem to not bode well, especially for Christians who oppose the policies and movements that are blatantly against God’s Word.

However, we are instructed by that very Word to trust in the Lord with all our heart (Proverbs 3:5-6). After Paul’s marvelous promise of Christ’s call to us, in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, the apostle writes further in the following chapter:

“For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.” (1 Thessalonians 5:9–11)

We are to take comfort as we see that moment approaching. And one doesn’t have to be a prophet to see that the signs of His coming are converging even now.
