Each succeeding week that produces fodder for another commentary brings with it the thought that things couldn’t be more in place for setting in motion the Tribulation.
The perception is always proved wrong.
This week is no different; prophecy stage-setting is still ramping up.
While many issues and events we explore seem at the moment to be critical in setting the stage for fulfillment of Bible prophecy, they most often turn out to be peripheral to the most crucial signals. The things developing now, however, are anything but minor.
Israel and the peace process can never be seen as a subject that’s on the outer edges of Bible prophecy. And what we’re seeing now certainly must be considered as profound a sign as any of where we stand on God’s prophetic timeline.
With all else that’s going on in this nation (which, by the way, is overtly omitted by name in biblical prophecy), we see the strangest presidency of our history at the very heart of astonishing prophetic stage-setting. And who can deny that this president moves the needle on history’s tachometer each and every news cycle?
Never has President Trump been as instrumental in so moving that needle as this past week or so. It’s as if the engine of biblical eschatology has revved once again to near max. I see this as a matter to be viewed as seriously as any we’ve yet seen—i.e., it seems to take us as near Christ’s call to His Church as any movement we’ve known.
With President Trump’s acting as an instrument of such profound prophetic movement comes danger, however. It’s a danger that we all should recognize.
The peace currently being brokered by the Trump administration between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) presents one of the two areas of danger about which the president must be cautioned.
The statement by his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, to reporters frames one of the dangers. Kushner said recently: “We were trying to save the two-state solution… If we kept going with the status quo… ultimately, Israel would have eaten up all the land in the West Bank.”
Kushner, husband of Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, is a Jew who apparently has little knowledge of, or else not much regard for, God’s promises to His chosen people. The Lord gave the Jews all the Land of Promise, including all the land in the West Bank. Mr. Kushner acts as if this is negotiable.
In God’s view, no area of land He gave Israel is negotiable. There is no room whatsoever for a “two-state solution to any problem Israel’s surrounding neighbors have in failing to be at peace with the Jewish State.
Here are the Almighty’s words on the matter:
And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your descendants after you. And I will give to you and to your descendants after you, the land of your sojourning, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. (Genesis 17:7–8)
I would urge men with Holy Spirit-provided savvy regarding Bible prophecy, such as Dr. Robert Jeffress, who have the president’s ear to counsel Mr. Trump about this promise and the serious consequences of attempting to interfere—whether wittingly or not—with that covenant.
Here is what God’s prophet, Joel, foretold more than two thousand years ago regarding the fate the nations of the world will suffer for doing exactly what this administration is trying to do. We’ve looked at it many times.
I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land. (Joel 3:2)
This of course speaks of Armageddon, the killing field where the rebellious armies of the world will be slaughtered.
The second of the cautions I put forth here to this president—whom I very much support in most every way—concerns his possibly making the mistake of listening to those who push for mandatory vaccinations against COVID-19.
Here is a news item that encapsulates to some extent the issue:
President Donald Trump announced several weeks ago that the US government will purchase 100 million doses of Moderna’s experimental coronavirus vaccine, which is currently in late-stage human trials.
In addition to Moderna, AstraZeneca and the Pfizer/BioNTech alliance are also working on a vaccine.
Trump recently estimated that a vaccine for coronavirus may be produced ahead of the US presidential election on November 3.
The US has registered more than six million cases of COVID-19—almost a quarter of the global total—and 185,000 deaths, according to Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins University. (“US States Told Be Ready for COVID-19 Vaccine by November 1,” US & Canada—Israel National News, September 4, 2020)
There is more than just conspiracy theory behind fears that some folks in high places have suggested that a computer tracking nanochip or something like that be injected along with the coming COVID inoculations. There is ample documentation that such ideas have been exchanged between Bill Gates and others who contemplate vaccinating the entire world.
I don’t pretend to suggest that this will be part of such vaccinations, nor am I saying this has something to do with the Revelation 13 “mark of the beast,” “666” system of buying and selling. No one needs to fear that they will take that mark this side of the Rapture, no matter what else the proposed COVID vaccine might mean.
But it all does smack of Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-four and Big Brother, in which the ruling class is in complete control of the hapless masses and wields absolute power.
Mr. President, be aware. Christians who understand Bible prophecy as it is meant to be understood will strongly resist such “mandatory” impositions upon personal liberty.
Terry, I read all of your e letters and enjoy them very much. However, you have completely missed the mark on this one on the Trump peace plan. His plan has nothing to do with a two state solution. It is designed to Box the PLO into a corner From which they cannot escape. They will never accept the conditions placed on them but meanwhile Israel will be able to annex a sizable portion of the west bank. Meanwhile peace agreements are being signed this very day with more to follow soon. The PLO has completely forfeited any bargaining chips they had and the world, especially the Arab world knows it. There will be no two states. Not ever. Not gonna happen.
Have a blessed day/shalom

Jared Kushner brought up the fact that if the peace deal wasn’t done there would never be a chance for a two state solution. Therefore it is implicit within his remark that they do have a two state element in mind for some future peace negotiation. Since he represents the president, the president must be forewarned that to divide God’s land is the thing that will bring all nations to Armageddon according to Joel 3:2.
It’s a moot point, however, because the world has already divided that land. –Even as part of Israel’s “rebirth” in 1948. Therefore all nations will meet their comeuppance on the killing fields of Armageddon.
Brother James, I enjoy your messages so much. I am curious about your expert opinion on a matter though it is a little off topic. I’m extremely concerned about the US economy now. I have a 401K that has beneficiaries that may or may not all be raptured (that’s between them and the Lord like it is for all of us). I would like to leave something for the beneficiary/beneficiaries in the event they are not raptured. Do you think the economy collapses before or after the rapture? Sometimes I read scripture and it seems that possibly the world economy will be thriving which helps the popularity of the AC. My inclination is to get completely out of the stock market at this time. God bless your ministry. Maranatha Lord Jesus. Others may chime in if desired. It would be appreciated. I will be making a decision soon.
Thank you for your kind words.
I’m by no means and expert in the area of economics. As a matter-of-fact, in today’s world I don’t think there is such a thing. Dynamics affecting every facet of life at this volatile time makes all things uncertain –except one thing. God is in complete Control at all times. that is why Proverbs 3: 5-6 is a Scriptural passage to live by as a believer. Charles Stanley paraphrase of that scripture is one I like very much. “Obey God no matter what, and leave all the consequences to Him.”
Now, to try to answer your specific concern. There might be a financial collapse of a catastrophic sort before the Rapture, but I don’t think so. I base this on Jesus’ Words regarding the days of Noah and the days of Lot prophecy. (Matthew 24: 36-42 and Luke 17: 26-30.
Jesus said things will be going along as usual –like in the days of Lot in Sodom. There will be buying, selling, marriage, planting, building –all the things of life.
Jesus said it will be just like when Lot went out of Sodom. the very day Lot was removed, judgment began to fall and destroyed the world of rebels. The Lord had to be speaking of the Rapture, because things will not be going on as usual at the time of the Second Coming as portrayed in Revelation 19: 11. As much as three fourths of the world populations will have died by that time due to God’s Wrath during the Tribulation. Things will NOT be as usual.
Therefore, I believe the world economy will hold together until the time of Rapture.
It is a guarantee by God Himself that the world economy will collapse following the Rapture. There will be starvation and it is said that it will take a days wage to buy a loaf of bread. Antichrist will institute his numbers and marks system to control buying and selling(Revelation 13: 16-18.
There is just no way making arrangements this side of Rapture –with 401K or any other economic plan will make life after Rapture economically secure.
The ONLY way to be secure now –or after Rapture—is to accept Jesus now. All of Heaven’s Riches will then belong to believers in that Eternal State.
Thank you so much for your time and expertise Brother James. I do believe all of my beneficiaries are “born again” Christians. They “profess” belief as do i.
I do believe that we need to keep in our minds what the scriptures reveal. However, it does really seem as if the stage is being set for the Tribulation.
The very fact that today the USA is hosting a ”peace” deal agreement is very significant. There will, of course, never will be peace between Islam and the Saturday or Sunday people. It can only be a subterfuge – they are quite happy to lie and have a peace deal and then attack those who think they have peace. Just as the scripture states, when the assume peace then destruction will suddenly come upon them.
So I am looking up eagerly anticipating the Rapture whilst abiding and proclaiming the gospel message at every opportunity.
Is it possible that the current peace treaties between Israel and the Arab nations will continue, and in so doing, further inflame those countries that would never consider peace?
If these rogue and often irrational countries feel backed into a corner, might this provoke them into threatening or even starting a conflict in the region so frightening that people will blindly accept anyone who steps up to stop it – say, by confirming a seven-year universal Middle East peace treaty for example?
We know such a treaty will happen and we know who will give it “teeth.”
The question now is only a matter of “when.”
Hello Brother Ed. A great question and comment. I have a question too. Why is a peace deal signed that has a specific length of time assigned to it (i.e. as Daniel says, 7 years)? I would think that a peace deal would not be written like a “cease fire” with a stated duration. Perhaps it is authored like a “permanent” peace deal but the 2nd Coming comes precisely after it is signed 7 years later. Just speculating here. Maranatha!!
Hi Glenn.
Thanks for the kind words – again, since I recall you offering them in the past in previous conversations.
Wish I could answer the question definitively about the Seven Year limit. Perhaps it may have something to do with Islamic history itself. There was the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah in 628 AD between Median and Mecca which had a term limit of 9 years, 9 months, and 9 days (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaty_of_Hudaybiyyah). It may be that a treaty with a time limit is just easier to swallow for the parties involved, both in the past and in the one which will come.
Truth is, I actually think your reason might be the best!
Thanks for bringing this up.
Thxs Ed. A minor question in the totality of things. I’ve always thought to myself that God ordained 7 years as 7 denotes perfection. Exciting and scary times. Thxs for responding. Maranatha!!!!
You are WELCOME!
I really do get the sense that we are “short-timers” down here – and that suits me just fine!
God bless!
Terry, the land of Israel is already divided, and has been since WW1. Israel lost even more of her land when she gave up Gaza. Judah and Samaria have been “contested” territory and called the West Bank since Israel won them back from Jordan. A treaty which formalizes a two-state solution is
simply that; a formalization of the facts on the ground.
Additionally, every day I wake up eagerly anticipating the turning of another page of the prophetic calendar. I am so anxious to be called home I’m actually in a celebratory mood! A peace treaty b/t Israel and her enemies is a major component of end-time prophecies, and brings us so much closer to our Rapture and going home! It’s certainly not the time for a doom and gloom attitude! We’re going home soon, Terry! Smile and say Hallelujah!
Maranatha!
It’s day to day now. Who knows what kinds of judgment this will bring on our country. But it sure looked good to anyone who doesn’t know God’s Word. It seems like such a wonderful thing that they are doing.
The vaccine will change your DNA. Keep that in mind. Not to mention you will be a walking 5G tower. Amongst other evil things that vaccine and the quantum dot tattoo will inflict. Not to mention the test subjects have all had very bad reactions to it.
In addition to my comments yesterday I recommend that You read Ezekiel 38. I believe this move towards peace is lifted right from this very prophetic chapter.
Have a blessed day/shalom

Encouragement. Thank you.
