Israel and election 2020

Election results still aren’t settled as I write this. Presidential Election 2020 is, in my many decades of experience, unlike any other. And this is in no way hyperbole.

I know I don’t have to convince you of the truth of that statement. Those of you who read these columns have lived through everything from Donald Trump’s 2016 election until this present hour. Little in the four intervening years has not been strange and, to use KJV terminology, extremely “vexing.”

Strangest of all regarding this election are the dynamics within the matters involved. Donald J. Trump has had everything imaginable thrown at his presidency—and some things so profoundly evil as to defy anything approaching political normalcy. None of it has touched him.

We’ve expressed many times in these articles how Trump seems impervious to and even invulnerable against anything his political enemies and even the minions of Satan can manage against him.

The election of 2016 presented, according to all political hacks—and all polls—insurmountable odds against Trump winning. This was the case up until 9 o’clock on that election night. But when the electioneering dust settled, the political pundits all had to sadly report that the woman the Democrats had chosen to coronate as president had gone down to electoral landslide defeat.

The rage then exploded across the nation and the world. The globalist-elites’ grand plans for America—thus for the world—had been stopped cold in their tracks. Trump had one thing in mind. Well, two things: 1) To drain the swamp that was Washington, DC, and 2) To “Make America Great Again!” Neither could then nor now be tolerated by the powers and principalities of Ephesians 6:12.

Those powers and principalities, both human and demonic, had had their power and control diminished. It could not stand, and their rage became, as often described, “unhinged.”

We who viewed all this through the prism of Bible prophecy understood that this fury that seemed to make Trump’s human enemies do things that bordered on totally irrational was the result of their throwing off all godly restraints. The opposition party, in fact, voted audibly to kick God out of their party platform. Romans 1:28 thus observably set in, and the rage went wild.

There was the Russian collusion hoax brought against Trump twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, for years. The political witch hunt went on until the $40 million Mueller investigation had to admit, finally, that Trump wasn’t guilty of even the slightest infraction.

The Democrat side of the House of Representatives impeached him for something that a White House recording plainly showed was a non-impeachable matter, with the president’s legitimate call to a Ukrainian official. Still, the phony trial went on for months. Taken to its full course, the inevitable not-guilty verdict made the unhinged party on the left look for all to see to be the evil minions they are.

These were the major actions used to assault Mr. Trump. If we dig in a bit, we can present hundreds of less dramatic attacks from the Democrats and their henchmen and henchwomen in the mainstream press. The assaults, as you will remember, were unrelenting.

The question, then, to consider—and I believe it to be one of a profound nature as we move farther into this fleeting age: Why, after all of this, in which nothing could remove this president from the Oval Office, no matter what was attempted, does it now appear that he will be removed by the mere electoral process? This, despite the blatant evidence that his opponent is obviously mentally challenged as proven every time he speaks for any length of time in public. Why are voters—at least half of them—so deluded as to elect the radicals who want to remake America into something akin to the old Soviet Union?

More profound than this is the question: Why has the Lord of Heaven suddenly seemed to take his hand off, which had so obviously been on this man He miraculously put in the White House?

It is especially a profound question, because God’s greatest end-times indicator, His chosen people, Israel, is at the very heart of things accomplished by one Donald J. Trump.

He promised to move the US Embassy from Tel Aviv after declaring Jerusalem as Israel’s capital from America’s perspective. This is something other presidents had promised but never did. Trump did keep the promise to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

He has kept practically every promise he has made—to Israel—to the American people. There is no doubt that this is God’s man for this hour at the close of the Age of Grace (Church Age).

Why has God decided, as it appears He has as of this writing, to remove him from earth’s most powerful office? Why, if it does happen, would the Lord of Heaven replace him with a person who, being mentally ill, seems to represent, through his incapacity, the entire reprobate (upside-down) spiritual and mental capacity of his political party?

Israel must be considered in all this. I haven’t the answers—just the questions.

It will be our wonderful God who will provide those answers when He chooses.

  1. Roxanne Golliver says:

You have asked the very same question that is on the minds of so many who were praying for this election. Right now it doesn’t make sense. Especially when it comes to Israel and what President Trump has accomplished. It would seem that as soon as this evil party takes control they will do everything in their power to undo all that has been accomplished in the Middle East and with Israel. So many questions but I know God has His plan. And we don’t understand His path to accomplishing that plan. We do know the ending though.

  2. Julia Pomeroy says:

Trump was a glorious respite for America as God wonderfully gave the Americans another four years to repent. We call all see how that went down, now it is time to proceed with God’s plan to put the finishing touches to the stage He has been setting when He will release His judgment upon the world. Considering the number of babies who have been slaughtered to the god of convenience alone, I am amazed at how long-suffering God has been, not to mention the sexual free-for-all which now predominates even children as young as four!
The thing which must bring us hope is that Jesus is coming for His Bride very soon now, so we must be about the business of being watchmen and warning all of the judgment which is to come and they need to get right with God now.

    • standingontruth27 says:

Amen….I believe that President Trump accomplished his mission with Israel….Peace with the Arabs, was the last thing needed to bring about the Ez. 38th war of Gog & Magog…The Arabs only protest this war, and no one comes to help Israel…If Trump was in office, that would not be the case…America is not mentioned in bible prophecy; I’m praying that is because of the rapture….Praying and looking up…Maranatha.

    • Mary Ellis says:

      Very well put. Thankyou Julia.

  3. Lisa K says:

Yes. A lot of questions. But this is where we have to let go and let God. We show our trust even if it does not go the way of our vote. God sees the big picture. His plans our good. I’m praying Christians to search their hearts and release any sin that is gripping them. God wants total surrender, not just the easy stuff. Not just lip service. We have the power of the Holy Spirit in us.
In all things, pray and give thanks to God.

  4. Ruth L says:

I had been thinking that for the Abraham Accord to move forward, it would probably be best for Donald Trump to be President. From the looks of things currently, that will not be true. Will Biden halt the process or has it its own momentum, especially since Biden says he will put the Iran treaty back into place? All the more reason for the Gulf states to get on board the accord. I also wonder if Biden would move the embassy again, which would be quite a slap in the face to Israel.

  5. Ed Wood says:

Julia Pomeroy made a good point and I agree with it. The popular vote for Biden at this point exceeds that for Donald Trump. What that says to me is that the majority of voters didn’t take the opportunity to wise up. If Biden does win, then all I can say is that America got the kind of leadership it deserved.

It’s just too bad the rest of us are unwilling passengers on this hell-bound train – well, for the time being, anyway. God willing, it’ll be a short trip for us.

Now as far as the Middle East goes, if Biden does win, Israel will be on its own even before the Rapture. You can easily see its motivation, having lost its greatest ally, to accept a bogus peace treaty confirmed by the “man of sin,” who will ultimately betray them 3 1/2 years afterward. This is all not a matter of “if ” – just a matter of “when.”

    Same thing for the Rapture.

  6. Jeff says:

I never expected God’s Grace to be extended twice in a row. We had our reprieve – now it’s time for Judgment and so be it, because no country deserves it more than us. Just like Ancient Israel in their idolatry, so America must go in her immorality. It will be painful for all of us; but our hope extends beyond the grave and we also have the Blessed Hope too.

  7. sue christiansen says:

    So encouraging! Praying

  8. Blue Skys says:

Sorry but I can’t read it with that background. 😦

  9. lacs86 says:

I so appreciate your ministry! Well, I concur with your thoughts also. We don’t know how this will play out but of course God does, as we know. If the rapture is very close, then the antichrist will EASILY step in with the likes of Biden & Harris. It would never happen with Trump in the office. Maybe it’s closer than we think!! Israel has the feeling of peace already, maybe even enough for us to go away and the antichrist to come to the forefront. If God wants more peace to surround Israel, then it seems logical that Trump will be in office a little longer. Either way, we are in scary yet EXCITING end times. I thank the Lord all the time for saving me and letting me know that it’s not something that He wants me to worry about and I remind Him that we are limited in our understanding and help us to trust Him. We can rest assured, as Amir said last week, that either way God has a plan and nothing can thwart it! Peace & Love to all His children.

    • standingontruth27 says:

So true!…..I am praying for President Trump, and his family…I pray for their salvation to be in Jesus Christ alone, and also for everyone that is not saved…The rapture is imminent…Prayers to all..
Come Lord Jesus and take us home….Looking up!

  10. Inga says:

Has not God heard all the prayers from us ? Does He not care that more than 50.000 prayed for their country in Washington DC recently ? Of course we know He does ! Of course He cares ! If he chooses to not work with politicians as before He must have another plan. We know He wants souls more than anything else. Yes, it will be EXCITING to see how He will move from now on! Yes, let us rest in His promises, knowing that He knows what He is doing and when our own minds can’t grasp it, it’s probably a good thing. We just can lean on Him and go on by FAITH.

  11. Anna Margaret Broz says:

I too believe Trump has been God’s ordained man for the USA but I am so perplexed at
how arrogant he so often is, that his language is not fitting for our country’s leader!!!!! Why has God allowed this, I’m sorry to question it.
Why haven’t I heard other Christians concern about his behavior here?
I haven’t seen real evidence that Trump is a true believer in Jesus Christ, I do pray for that! I just can’t figure if he has been , is and may well be a Judgement on our country or the man who will keep us from Global power!
Anyone out there wonder this too?

    • Julia Pomeroy says:

First you need to remember he was not voted in for his charm but for the capabilities those who voted for him believed he has, which I think, as an outsider, I believe he has demonstrated. Secondly, surely it is not our place to tell the President of the United States how to behave, he is not a Christian so it is not our place. Tragically for every Jack Hibbs type there is advising him there are triple NAR Types, such as Paula White, there too advising him and NAR has long since left the Christian ‘camp’ if it was ever there in the first place, it is more suited to Hinduism and New Ageism!
And lastly, Trump was a gracious respite from God, now we get back to the nitty gritty of finishing off preparing the stage for the ‘next act’ – the Tribulation.

      • Ruth L says:

Amen. I voted for him because his values align with the platform that most aligns with Biblical values. Not personality or language.

  12. Linda Gayle Crosby says:

What is so heartbreaking for one thing..is the fact that each person that voted for the democratic platform which includes the murdering of babies..do they get it that for each baby that is swept from the womb they are responsible? They voted for this & that makes each human being that did a conspirator in these babies deaths!…Did they ever think that one day it could include a baby they could love? President Trump has spoken out for pro life…He hates abortion!! See The Dark hates The LIGHT!That is who our president speaks openly about…THE LIGHT!

  13. There is a lot of talk about the rapture and judgement but are we ready for persecution? Perhaps that’s what’s next for us. Are we, the church really expecting to return to status quo? Maybe we need to soberly acknowledge that the environment has fundamentally changed for followers of Christ. Get ready for persecution and get back on mission.

    • Jeff says:

Well put, sir. Well put – it’s best to prepare ourselves. After all, the 1st Century saints had it far, far worse.

  14. Ron says:

I love your article & I too am waiting upon God to move one way or the other.

  15. Helen Stewart says:

God is still in control. We as followers of Christ must still keep praying fervently! We are seeing the beginning of a Great Awakening in this land to turn back to God. It will be full of riots, etc. BUT we MUST keep on praying for righteousness to reign. TRUMP won all the states he needed…..now it goes to the courts. Contribute to Judicial Watch as they are our President’s lawyers and working very hard to get to the truth of the votes of the American people. PLEASE PRAY for protection for our President, Melania and Barron and all the legal team. KEEP PRAYING.

    • Julia Pomeroy says:

You believe ‘we’ are beginning to see a “Great Awakening”? Are you for real? America has slaughtered over sixty million babies – legally – they have agreed to homosexuals legally indulging in their depravity – they are agreeing to letting children take puberty blockers and you think there is a Great Awakening coming? (From where in the Bible have you gleaned that information?) Wow, unbelievable – do you even live on the same planet sweet? America, like the rest of the world, is under God’s judgment, the time to have had Him retain the hedge of protection He gives us, has long since past. And where does judgment start? – At the house of God. It truly does not matter if the truth is ever revealed we are all for the high jump. Of course when I say ‘we’ I am not referring to all those who have put their faith in Jesus Christ of Nazareth and in His life, death and resurrection, we wisll be gone at great rate of knots very soon now.
They say the onlooker sees more of the ‘game’ and I am an onlooker from thousands of miles away but I can see the filth that is increasing not just in America but in many other nations as well. Do you truly believe God is going to condone it and also bless us with a Great Awakening? Where has the church been when all these perversions started in the 60s, hmm?

      • Ed Wood says:

I agree with you again, Julia.

I can’t think of any Bible passages that foretell of a “Great Awakening” in the Last Days. In fact, just the opposite is portrayed as we can readily see in the Olivet Discourse, not to mention Paul’s second letter to Timothy, and Revelation 3:14-18, which many Bible scholars believe refers to the state of the end-times church.

There are, of course, many more similar examples, but I think these certainly meet the Bible’s own standard for at least two or three witnesses.

It looks now as if President Trump will not get re-elected and the Republicans could also lose their Senate majority. As I said in an earlier post, I think America was given its last chance by electing Donald Trump four years ago and by now choosing to elect people who are openly hostile to God and his standards, the voters in this country have shown God the door for the last time.

Nevertheless, God will not abandon his own today, just like he did not abandon Noah when the whole rest of the world had turned its back on him. Instead, he saved him and his whole family.

I am sure he will SOON do the same for us.

  16. Ed Wood says:

Looks like the Biden-Harris ticket has just won.

I expect the prophetic clock which has been slowed the past four years will now begin to accelerate at a breakneck speed and for all of us believers, our rescue from this disintegrating world has become that much closer.

All the more reason to keep looking up!
