Battlefield 2021

Christmas brings to the Christian mind the thought of peace—the Prince of Peace is with us.

So, this isn’t intended to damper that message in any way. The redemption offered by that miraculous conception and birth is indeed the good news of all the ages.

I’m composing this commentary on that very birthday. But it will be posted beyond this most profound day of celebration. So, we look toward the new year—2021.

Although there have been years of tumult during my many decades of life, with World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and a hundred lesser conflicts, the war we’ve been engaged in the farther into the twenty-first century we travel is more intense than any of those bloody, physical eras of warfare.

So, while the Prince of Peace hasn’t yet assumed His earthly throne as He one day will, we face an epic struggle—as laid out precisely by Paul, the great apostle and prophet.

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, where with ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (Ephesians 6:11–17)

Before 2016, my observation was that this warfare was largely of the unseen realm; I believed it was veiled by the enemy so that it was hidden from view except on rare occasions when it flared and burst through that surface layer of obscurity. For example, the times when genocide reared its ugly head around the world, and when our national leaders decided it was okay to murder children still in the womb.

But those horrors quickly emulsified and were absorbed into the hellish spiritual warfare described by Paul in the passage quoted above. Even Christians became numbed to such atrocity, and things again appeared more or less tranquil as daily life continues toward the new year.

Life is no longer so tranquil, as we can testify from the issues and events of the last half decade. The surface that formerly obscured the boiling evil just beneath it now erupts almost hourly with issues and events that seem to indicate the lateness of the prophetic hour. The battlefield being prepared for the most horrific war on humanity ever to be waged.

We’ve entered that “evil day” prophesied by the Apostle Paul. A quick look at his list of the characteristics of end-times man listed in 2 Timothy chapter 3 makes that clear when considering our minute-by-minute news stories.

People are “lovers of self” and “without natural affection” (consider the matters of homosexuality and of mothers giving up their babies to the abortionists). People are “traitorous” (consider the lying, deception, and treachery of the so-called Deep State over the past few years). People are “unthankful,” “unholy,” and “deny the power of God.” (Consider that at least half of the people in our country don’t object or protest when political leadership declares we can be any gender we want to be. They give it little pushback when man marrying a man and woman marrying a woman is legally approved to be not only equal to the way God prescribed for marriage, but is declared preferable to the way the Creator has given.)

Without meaning to frighten or spread panic, the world as configured presently doesn’t have its best days just ahead, as often declared by optimistic politicians. That “evil day” instead lurks somewhere in the murky future. As Shakespeare’s witch would put it, “Something wicked this way comes.”

The year 2021 indeed looks to be fraught with, particularly, war of a spiritual nature. Paul, again, has told about the kind of war we face, and he’s outlined precisely how to successfully prepare for it and engage those wicked enemies in high places.

The good news, now!

This same Jesus, whose coming to earth in the form of a baby, as God in flesh, we just celebrated, is now full grown and sitting at the right hand of God the Father. He is omnipotent (all-powerful) and omniscient (all-knowing). He promised that He will return to put an end to all wickedness. He has promised to bring all who believe in Him to live with Him forever in heavenly dwellings that He, Himself, has prepared for us (John 14:1–3).

The reality that He will soon call His people—the Church—to Himself in the Rapture is something we should trust. We’re instructed to be looking up and listening for His shout, ”Come up here!” (read Luke 21: 28 and Revelation 4: 1).

Meantime, while we’re awaiting that spectacular moment, each of us should be a spiritual warrior in God’s royal ambassador service. The Prince of Peace is on His way! Battlefield 2021 is one that might well see the most glorious victory ever to put an end to warfare on planet earth!

At the Heart of End Times Prophecy

We are all too familiar with the angst and agony over the 2020 presidential election fraud, the overblown COVID-19 perpetration (in my opinion,) and the satanic globalist rage that threatens to bring on life worse than that under the Nazi regime. But there is something even more profound in terms of where we stand on God’s prophetic timeline.

It has been going on for years –decades, really. We see it going on at the moment, even under the auspices of the president we here hold to be a true champion of Israel, thus one of the most God-directed of all of American history’s chief executives.

The actions taken by the U.S. state department and other agencies in this regard dates back to Israel’s reestablishment as a nation in 1948 under President Harry Truman. The efforts, however, got seriously underway in later administrations, with the efforts becoming more pronounced in the most recent decades.

I refer here to the incessant attempts to bring Israel into peace arrangements with its blood-vowed enemies. More specifically, the heart of end times prophecy as referenced in the article’s title involves the attempts made at dividing God’s promised land given to His chosen people –the Jews.

There were efforts made to do so during the Johnson and Nixon administrations to be sure. Jimmy Carter’s presidency made progress in bringing together Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin and Egyptian President Anwar Al-Sadat. This was without serious attempts to add to the mix the division of the land God gave to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

But it was with the George Herbert Walker Bush presidency that the most profound signal of the very end of the age began shaping in an easily observable fashion. James Baker and the state department began serious efforts to force the proposal that the land be divided in order to try to bring Israel’s enemy neighbors to the so-called peace table. Bill Clinton’s administration continued the effort, offering PLO leader Yasser Arafat 98 percent of all the PLO wanted, but to no avail, as Arafat walked out on the talks, knowing he would have nothing to complain about if he accepted the sell-out terms.

Then came the truly serious effort to produce the land for peace deal. The Roadmap to Peace proposals were carried out by the George W. Bush administration. It is still going today, having bridged the Barack Obama administration’s doing as much damage to Israel as possible, while maintaining a solemn face of pseudo-friendship with the Jewish state.

President Trump assigned his Jewish son-in-law, Jared Kushner, the job of putting together and carrying out the Deal of the Century. While Mr. Trump has been an apparent friend to Israel like no other president, none-the-less his administration retained some of the Roadmap to Peace land division ideas within the Deal of the Century blueprint.

The Lord has Foretold plainly in His Word to mankind that He will not abide the division of His Promised Land to His chosen people.

“For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.” (Joel 3: 1-2)

God says this is in a time He has chosen for Him to deal with all who have been implicit in dealing treacherously with His chosen people. It is the end times –the very end of the age—of which He forewarns.

And it is not only those outside of Israel who are bringing about the fulfillment of this prophecy. We see that there is growing within Israel’s governing forces those who want to embrace this deadly course with regard to land for peace.

Benny Gantz believes Jerusalem is “spacious” enough for a Palestinian capital whilst still remaining united, according to an interview in a Saudi newspaper.

Gantz, who serves as defense minister and alternate prime minister told the Arabic language newspaper Asharq al-Awsat that Jerusalem is a “spacious city that is full of sites which are sacred for all.”

“They want and need an entity in which they will live independently. A state or a kingdom, they can call it whatever they like,” Gantz said. “It is in their right to have independence and a capital which will be a solution to all deadlocked issues.”

“I want Palestinians to be part of the peace process. The push for normalization within the Arab world is a great and tangible opportunity,” he said…

While Israel views Jerusalem as its official and undivided capital, while the Palestinians want its eastern part as their own capital under a two-state solution.

A peace plan unveiled by U.S. President Donald Trump earlier this year placed the Palestinian capital in Abu Dis, a small town near Jerusalem.

(Gantz -There will be a place for Palestinian capital in united Jerusalem, Ynetnews, December 19, 2020)

As often pointed out, despite all the other end of the age signals that are flashing during the course of hourly news cycles, it is the nation Israel that is the prime indicator of where this generation stands on God’s prophetic timeline. And it is the dividing of God’s promised land to descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob that is at the heart of Bible prophecy on the cusp of being fulfilled –with Armageddon looming.

Knowing God’s Intention

While we make the journey from 2020 to 2021, I’m getting incoming (verbal mortar rounds) that bombards my temperament, which, according to my late friend Tim LaHaye, must be “Spirit-controlled.” That was the book he wrote –The Spirit Controlled Temperament—that, Dr. LaHaye once told me over lunch, really set his influence in ministry on the pathway the Lord wanted for him.

It’s a real test, and I depend on the Lord completely to keep my temperament at a level it’s supposed to be. Otherwise, I would lose it while I’m confronted with things attributed to our God from self-authoritative voices and word processors that grate on my spiritual senses.

Now, I must say that much of the grating comes from my own, admittedly, sometimes intransigence—i.e., I’ve been told by some closest to me that I’m hard-headed once my thoughts are set. It is with full admission of that human frailty that I approach this commentary.

A number of emailers have in recent days sent messages that, to me, come just short of saying God is wrong in His dealings with the election, America, and, in effect, with His people.

Others, whose articles I’ve read, proclaim, as if the writers were personally briefed by the Lord, that God has determined to judge America and dismantle the nation. And, one such writer says, 2 Chronicles 7:14 is for Israel only, not for Christians of today. God has only made covenant with one people, and that is the nation Israel, not with America or any other people.

I agree that the Lord has made a covenant only with one nation, but I disagree vehemently that He has made covenant with only one people.

—Well, maybe I shouldn’t say “vehemently,” as that doesn’t sound “Spirit-controlled.” But I do disagree strongly. The Lord of Heaven has most certainly made a covenant with Christians, and we are people called by His Name. The prayer of 2 Chronicles 7: 14 is for people called by His name. I am one of those, and He hears and acts upon those prayers.

His answers aren’t always what I think is best. As a matter of fact, His answers are, more often than not, different than those my hard-headed ways would have it. But His answers are ALWAYS the very best.

And this brings me to perhaps the central point of the commentary.

Emailers, as I’ve mentioned, have sent numerous messages saying similar things. They express—usually skirting coming right out and saying God is wrong—that they wonder why the Lord has now decided to abandon America and us (His Christian people) by allowing the election to go in a different direction than the emailers believe to be right.

These aren’t rebellious children of God, I realize, once my temperament is controlledThey’re genuinely worried and want to vent their frustration. We all feel that way about the events of the last months and years, regarding the American governmental, societal, and cultural turbulence.

So, I will use a Christian brother’s email to illustrate how it bothers me when people imply that they know God’s intentions and disagree with those intentions.

Why did the Father allow this combination of human and demonic wickedness to steal this election?  He has not allowed it before in my understanding of our history.  He has allowed man to exercise his free will in our elections, and man has made the wrong choice most of the time in recent decades.

He allowed it to go beyond just man exercising his free will this time.  Why did He do so?

He intervened miraculously in 2016 to put Donald Trump in power.  I thought He would do so again this time if necessary.  But He chose not to.  I don’t understand why He would not give Donald and Mike another four years, barring the Rapture event, to continue being His positive instrument for righteousness and good, and for our very supportive relations with Israel.

I believe the country has been on a stay of execution from the Father since the 1960s.  So He has been patient with our wickedness for a long time.  I don’t understand why another brief four years of patience was not possible.

Again, this brother, I believe, is simply expressing his frustration, and I mean no severe criticism by using this excerpt as illustration of my own frustration with people who seem to think they know God’s intention. Those who do that bother me considerably. We, as His creatures—His creation—should, as people indwelt by the Holy Spirit, seek to, as Tim LaHaye wrote, have our temperaments controlled by Heaven’s governance. This includes seeking not only to refrain from anger without just cause, but to be dedicated to realizing that God is in complete control at all times.

We can’t fully know His intention. We can understand what the ultimate outcome will be, because He has told us through His prophets in His Word. But the steps He will take to arrive at the destiny He has determined is within the purview of His omniscience exclusively.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8–9)

Let us trust Him in these troubling yet exciting times. I say “exciting,” because He must even now be preparing our heavenly dwelling places He has promised to take us home to in the Rapture.

Prophecy Prospectus 2021

This year, one of the most tumultuous of American history, is at a close. While we think on the birth of the Savior at this Christmastime, the looming, dark clouds of 2021 foreshadow days just ahead that appear menacing. I think it good to think aloud at this point about what might lurk in the distance, overlaying that future with the template of God’s prophetic Word. That’s the only prism through which to view matters with any hope of ascertaining insight.

The presidential election of 2020, despite declarations by no matter the accounting system, remains unsettled in the national, political sphere and the spiritual realm. The battle goes on and is centered within Ephesians 6: 12—as is obvious to those who use that biblical prophecy template mentioned above.

I find the following excerpt, taken from what I consider to be a relevant article, to at least begin to summarize things as they’re shaping up for 2021 and beyond.

In terms of the economy and the American social situation, 2020 is definitely one of the ugliest years on record, there’s really no way around it. That said, I get the impression that many in the public are operating under the assumption that we are about to cross over the peak of the mountain and it will be all downhill from here on. Unfortunately, this is not the case.

All eyes have been focused on the pandemic event, and the thinking is that once the pandemic is “over,” the crisis will be over and everything will go back to normal.

But, as the globalists have been telling us since the outbreak began, the world “will never go back to normal again”. It’s not because of the pandemic, mind you, it’s because THEY won’t allow things to go back to normal. The “great reset,” as the World Economic Forum calls it, is meant to go on for many years. And, the globalists intend that every aspect of our lives be changed into something almost unrecognizable. (“If you thought 2020 was bad, watch what happens in 2021,” Brandon Smith, presented by Tyler Durden, Zero Hedge, December 12, 2020)

The author says that the reset planned by the globalists—bringing all nations into their desired new order by requiring that all join their one-world economy—won’t work. It is, he believes, destined to fail. What worries him, he says, is that a devastatingly serious or total collapse will cause a major depression. He says that breakdown is well underway. It has been initiated, he says, by international banks and central banks through massive debt creation and inflationary stimulus measures.

The stock market—which, he says, has seen the Dow at a record 30,000 lately—is not the thing to look at with regard to how well the American or world economy is doing.

But I don’t wish to get into the weeds on the economy; it’s not something I’m familiar enough with to delve into here.

However, fringe economists (those other than the well-known pundits on TV) have long surmised that it’s just a matter of time before the economic dam bursts and the economies of nations come crashing down. America will, they believe, suffer the greatest of all implosions.

My own thoughts continue to be the same as expressed in my series of ten articles written at the end of 2010 and the beginning of 2011, “Scanning a Fearful Future.”

I write in the series that I don’t believe Bible prophecy predicts a huge economic collapse taking place at the moment God next catastrophically intervenes into wicked human conduct upon the earth.

That conclusion is based on Jesus’ words in Matthew 24:36–42 and again in Luke 17:26–30. The Lord plainly prophesies in those passages that it will be business pretty much as usual at the time of the Rapture.

He has to be speaking of the Rapture, because He indicates that people will be buying, selling, planting, marrying—doing all the things of normal activity on earth. If He were describing the time of His Second Advent (Revelation 19:11), things would be so bad that nothing normal would be taking place.

We know that, at the same time, it will be like the days of Lot. The world will be totally debauched, with every sort of evil going on. It will also be like in the days of Noah (Genesis chapter 6): Violence will fill the whole earth.

We, of course, have all of the above taking place right at this moment. The “seas and waves” of Luke 21 are roaring. This refers to the peoples who are in turmoil around the world. Protests, riots—unrest of increasing magnitude—are taking place globally. And pestilence in the form of locusts and other sorts, along with a global pandemic of COVID-19, makes the Luke 21 prophecy by the Lord jump out at the observer of Bible prophecy.

Yet, it is business as usual.

If America collapses economically, the entire world will follow. The global economy is so intricately linked to the dollar and to the American economy that the weight of its fall would cause a fiscal earthquake.

This will happen, I have no doubt. This is the conclusion reached in the series I mention. It will happen when Christ calls the Church—all believers—to Himself in the Rapture.

Jesus said that, like when Lot was taken out of Sodom, that very day, God’s judgment will begin falling. The Rapture will be the beginning of the Lord’s Day. The economies of the world will crash.

So we come to the crux of the article: the “prophetic prospectus” for 2021.

Regardless of electoral results or ramifications, Jesus has indicated that things will be business as usual, while at the same time, societies and cultures will be corrupt, vile, violent, and evil, just like in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Globalism will be advancing, it’s easy to believe, as Satan prepares to institute his man of sin. However, God has promised that when the man of sin is on the verge of being revealed to the left-behind world, God the Holy Spirit, indwelling the Church, will restrain the evil Satan wishes to inflict.

That is what we see happening right now, as we’ve watched the wickedness unfold day by day, hour by hour, over the past years, months, and days.

The prophecy prospectus, I strongly suspect, includes more of the same. The battle in the high places of Ephesians 6:12 will continue, with God’s restraining hand doing His work to hold back descent into total evil.

Suddenly, then, in the “twinkling of an eye,” Jesus will shout, “Come up here!”.

To see what happens then—from that moment of Rapture until God fulfills all prophecy—read Revelation, beginning with chapter 4. No matter what’s in store for 2021, the “prophetic prospectus,” if you’re a Christian, is glorious!

Something Wondrous This Way Comes

We know about Shakespeare’s line, “Something wicked this way comes.” As a matter of fact, I think most of us who are concerned with all the political and election doings for the past four or five years agree that we’ve lived Shakespeare’s famous warning to the fictional generation he addressed in his play Macbeth.

The witch in the play warned of a political entity that had been created—a monster—and that it was on its way. So, “Something wicked this way comes” is a heads-up that there is a monster on the loose, and is coming for you.

I heard an audio of a Democrat congresswoman threatening all who were “Trumpsters.” She put out the message to all who were “soldiers.” She said they would know how to punish those who had anything to do with Donald Trump and his time in the presidency. To me it sounded like she was advocating physical death to all of us who disagreed with the evil she and the anti-God forces we oppose taking over in America forever.

Her threat was so direct, calling on the minions to kill us, as I heard it, that even the leftist Democrat majority in the House of Representatives had her censured by taking her off the committees she had been assigned to. Don’t be fooled, however; this was for public consumption leading up to an anticipated Biden presidency. She’ll almost certainly be reinstated once the dust settles on the kerfuffle she caused.

The “dark winter” the Democrat presumptive president-elect forewarned is certainly part of the planning for America and the world, although Mr. Biden might have meant it only to apply to the coronavirus. Something indeed “wicked this way comes.

That wickedness goes much deeper into the dark regions of evil than the mere, radical leftist, political ideology that threatens to deconstruct America as founded. The architects are inheritors of the same, ancient evil that brought all of humanity together to build that tower on Shinar all those millennia ago. It’s an attempted return to Babel, and instead of a single, demonically inspired leader as was the giant Nimrod, there are multiple minions in high places that are, through immense wealth, thus power, the architects of the global neo-tower project.

The news that even the Supreme Court justices, whom many of us had hopes would put America as founded above finding ways to appease the powers that be, have apparently succumbed to this electoral thievery, is, of course, quite disheartening. It’s even frightening in some respects, especially considering the words of the congresswoman mentioned above, knowing that there are many more just like her who would treat her opposition like Hitler and henchmen treated the Jews after 1939 and Kristallnacht.

However, I think we can, as believers, sense something truly profound developing within this strange, troubling mixture of human politics and spiritual warfare. One friend who emailed following the Supreme Court decision to reject hearing the Texas case against the fraud perpetrated by the four or five states wrote the following:

I was “discussing” things with our Lord today in regards to this election and the horrible things that will happen if Biden gets in.

I received a very distinct immediate (for lack of a better term) “response,” of “You think I can’t handle this situation without Trump?”

I stopped.  My prayer was answered.

I heard that same still, small voice myself at a later time. The Lord is not fretting. Neither should we. We’ve certainly registered our, no doubt, millions of prayers within Heaven’s throne room. Now let us, as Moses exhorted the children of Israel when faced with the seemingly impossible-to-breach obstacle that was the Red Sea, “Behold the power of the Lord!”

We’re promised by the Creator of the universe—who just happens to be our Heavenly Father— that something this way “wondrous” comes!

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. (1 Corinthians 2:9)

God’s Warning to Evildoers

Never-ending reports bombard our radios, television sets, computers, and personal devices every second of every day. They continuously bring to light (to the spiritually attuned) the evil that comes from every direction. We have had to agree with Lot, who endured evil that perhaps eclipsed even that of our time. We, like Lot, are sorely vexed.

One Christian friend emailed me her vexation—voiced through the synthesized speech program I have to use due to being blind. She indicated she shared the note with many others as well, including whomever looks at email at the White House.

She says the following, in part:

Terry:  Below is an excerpt from your commentary today.  You are right.  My own anger and indignation just keeps building, just as you describe.

Still, as the battle rages, the force that resists is largely hidden, spiritually speaking. But it is there, and it is a pent-up force that I sense is about to be unleashed in ways those of us within whom it resides can’t fully fathom.

This is the Lord’s Day, which I normally devote to sweet communion with Jesus in the Lord’s Supper and meditation and prayer, but I woke up with angry words in my mind this morning and before I could find peace and solace with our Lord I had to vent—and the result is what I just emailed off to our do-nothing Attorney General…

TO: Bill Barr

Rudy Giuliani says Bill Barr does NOT want to know the truth, which has been painfully obvious to us all.

AG Barr: Where are your grand juries, sadistic prosecuting attorneys and FBI Gestapo whom we have watched for the past four years relentlessly pursuing, persecuting, falsely accusing and framing innocent American patriots like General Mike Flynn who have admirably devoted their lives to serving their country and UPHOLDING THE SACRED OATHS THEY TOOK TO DO SO – THE SAME OATH YOU TOOK!??

Where are all these frenzied forces of yours now that we have thousands of sworn affidavits, video, audio, and reams of documentation of REAL crimes – HIGH crimes – TREASON, assault, murder, rioting, insurrection, looting, threats of violence and murder against the President, members of Congress, and anybody who doesn’t subscribe to the Communist takeover you are evidently passively endorsing?

Why is nobody being arrested and charged? Why has the DOJ/FBI suddenly turned into a big fat blob of dead flesh just sitting in their chairs like rotting corpses from coast to coast and stinking America up with their corruption and decay after their four-year feeding frenzy against innocent people?

Worms. Slimy, squirming, disgusting, traitorous little RED worms.

The LOVE OF THE TRUTH is a gift from God. All who refuse this gift of God are damned to eternal torment.

“because they received not the love of the truth…God shall send them strong delusion…That they all might be damned…” 2nd Thessalonians 2:10–12

(My thanks to Mary for sharing her…vexation.)

The causes of Lot’s vexation as compared to Mary’s vary only in terms of the issues: those of ancient times versus those of our own times. The chief architect of the evil of Lot’s day, our day, and all other times in human history is the same. Satan invades with his surreptitious insidiousness the minds—the very souls—of fallen humanity. He foments rebellion, brings forth false accusation, and implants hatred within the thoughts of “earth dwellers,” as people are called in the KJV.

Yet the most egregious of the vexing evil is the same, and is front and center in these times as it was back then. Political wickedness filled ancient culture in Sodom, in that all of society obviously was mad with sensuality and lust that was permitted—even condoned, no doubt by government. However, homosexuality reigned supreme, it’s obvious from the Genesis chapter 19 account. The LGBTQ lobby today, although population-wise is small, has managed to politically/legally all but silence those who would oppose their assault on the morality of the nation.

The past four or five years have given rise to evil that threatens to unleash total debauchery like that out of which the Lord took Lot, whom He called “just” (meaning “righteous”). The God of Heaven says the following by way of warning for those who follow the pernicious ways of the evildoers of Lot’s day. The Lord, through the Psalmist, begins by giving those who are “sorely vexed” great hope.

“Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.” (Psalms 37:1–11)

To understand fully God’s pronouncement against evil and His promise to the righteous, read the entire passage of Psalm 37.

But for those who are presently entrapped in evildoing, there remains hope—Jesus Christ, the “Blessed Hope.”

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9)

Assembling for the Appearance

While we await final election results, there is, according to emails, an emotional rollercoaster among many. The ups and downs can be traumatizing.

If it were possible for the Lord to become weary of hearing prayers about this election, imploring that He intervene in the way His people desire, He would say “Enough!” Of course, our Heavenly Father not only doesn’t say that, but He invites us to pray even more.

As we’ve said before, during these tumultuous months and years, God has held back the evil that is striving with all the might the “wickedness in high places” of Ephesians 6: 12 can muster. And now that evil, which has failed to accomplish significant gains in the battle to bring the nation into the globalist configuration it demands, seems to be on the verge of achieving its minions’ goal. Election 2020 seems to indicate that those powers and principalities have found the lawless formula for being victorious.

We’ve looked at how the Restrainer, the Holy Spirit that lives within each believer, has kept this president from being removed at every turn of the torturous political screws by those who hate him. Yet, at this moment, which is a snapshot of the election process, we fear that the minions have found ways, through computer manipulation and outright fraudulent ballot counting to remove him from the office in which the Lord of Heaven placed him. (God raises up kings and He removes them, the Scripture says.)

We consider how millions of prayers go up constantly, requesting that the Lord turn this supposed defeat through fraud around. Our Heavenly Father has told us that if we humble ourselves, pray, turn from our wicked ways, and seek His Face, He will hear from Heaven, forgive our sin, and heal our land.

We’ve been promised in His Word that He will continue to restrain until He is taken out of the way. That won’t happen until Antichrist comes on the scene (is revealed).

We know, through careful scriptural analysis, that while the Church is still on earth, the wickedness in high places cannot prevail. Jesus said that Satan will not overcome the Church. The Church is indwelt by God the Holy Spirit—the One restraining the evil that is ravenously trying to break loose from its chains and bring in Antichrist’s regime for the last seven years of human history leading up to Christ’s Second Advent.

So, while we are concerned about what we face in this election evil, we nonetheless can see a brilliant light streaming through the gloominess of the storm clouds. God is still in control, and prayer changes things. Part of that stream of light is manifesting more and more as I observe the various alternative media—that is, media that is alternative to the mainstream sources.

I’m hearing more and more voices invoking the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

One example that profoundly stimulated my assurance that God is in control and is powerfully influencing things just behind all that’s going on happened Thursday, December 3.

I was listening to the last couple of minutes of the Rush Limbaugh program. Rush’s guest host while he was off recuperating from cancer treatment, Todd Herman, was signing off. As he closed the program, he said something to the effect that we must offer up prayers. Specifically, he said that we must ask the Holy Spirit to give wisdom and influence all in authority who are involved in the election matter. We must, he indicated, ask God for His intervention by praying and seeking His direction and help.

It was a tremendous reminder to millions of listeners that it is God who has the answers to this and all troubles in the world. I could only say in a whisper, while shouting in my spirit, “Amen!

This is happening in ever-increasing numbers, as alternate media types seem to grasp where true answers to what America faces reside. Perhaps this election evil is allowed by the Lord—for certainly He knew all about it from eternity past—in order to bring His people, called by His Name, together in prayer and recognition of His love and power.

In this sense, I take a bit of scriptural liberty in believing that God’s forces—His people—are not “forsaking assembling themselves together as they see that day approaching”—the day when Christ will rule and reign on planet earth (Hebrews 10: 25).

Restrainer’s Resounding Resistance

Election 2020 isn’t over. There is, I sense, much yet to be discovered, uncovered, and, perhaps recovered, before the final period—perhaps I should say “exclamation point”—marks its finality.

At the center of this end-of-the-age demarcation—this evil-saturated presidential election—stands Heaven’s most powerful force. This holy entity of might is unseen, but it’s not without resounding energy and impact. The power within its long-ago prophesied influence for just this critical hour is on the very brink of revealing God to a wicked, wicked world, I believe.

We have witnessed earth’s powers and principalities in government, military bastions, and media enclaves as they have coalesced to form, perhaps, the most powerful anti-God movement in the history of man. At the same time, Heaven’s force has quietly swatted away every attempt to bring in Satan’s Antichrist regime. The evil has been, as I’ve said, almost tangible throughout every news cycle over the past four or five years. The defense against the evil hasn’t been overtly manifest, for the most part.

All of this end-of-the-age spiritual warfare, straight out of Ephesians 6:12, has seemed to be fought particularly in America. The moment Donald J. Trump was made his political party’s nominee, the battle roared to life in ways not seen in my lifetime. The satanic minions were knocked off balance, losing equilibrium—and all sanity—from that moment. They are scrambling more frantically than ever to regain lost time in the globalist onslaught they began following World War II with the establishment of the United Nations.

Still, as the battle rages, the force that resists is largely hidden, spiritually speaking. But it is there, and it is a pent-up force that I sense is about to be unleashed in ways those of us within whom it resides can’t fully fathom.

To many believers, it seems that God is silent, while the minions of the powers-and-principalities coalition apparently have gotten away with fraud of the first order. Mainstream news media and all other media outlets dominated by the “prince of the power of the air” proclaim at every opportunity that Mr. Biden is president-elect—even though it is the electors of the states, not any news sources, that are given the constitutional authority to declare who is president.

And, ultimately, it isn’t even these electors who have that power. They are but players on the stage of history—as we all are.

It is the God of Heaven who determines who will be president. He raises up kings and those in authority, and He removes them, the Scripture tells us. His, alone, is the true power that determines the future.

All this, and at the same time He allows free will. It is a concept beyond the finite mind’s ability to comprehend. In other words, we cannot understand how He can at the same time allow free will, yet control everything absolutely. This is all wrapped up, of course, in His omnipotence—His all-powerful, hands-on governance of His created universe.

It’s part of His omniscience, too—His all-consuming knowledge from eternity past into eternity future. There is nothing that takes Him by surprise and nothing that He doesn’t ultimately control.

So while it might seem that resistance to evil is on the decline and that the minions of evil are charging to victory in this election and in every other facet of life upon this fallen sphere, the opposite is true.

As my good friend, Jan Markell, one of the most listened-to program hosts in Christian radio, says: “Things aren’t falling apart; they are falling together”—i.e., things laid out in God’s prophetic foreknowledge are coming to fruition exactly as the He says, and at a blistering pace.

The very fact that all of the cheating and fraud taking place in Election 2020 haven’t yet secured victory for those perpetrators means, to us who observe closely, that God and His restraining hand is still at work as powerfully as ever. That power is fueled in a mighty way by the prayers of His saints, who are indwelt by God the Holy Spirit.

So, whatsoever the outcome of this election, God’s will is being done, and His victory—thus ours—is absolutely assured.

“Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us” (Romans 8:37).
