I will ask you to indulge me just a bit while I think on the great lie that is prophesied for the time of Tribulation.
Perhaps it’s again the novelist within me struggling to burst forth, but I rather believe the impression to address the much-gone-over topic goes beyond any mere desire I have to create fiction.
Nonetheless, this is a theory; it’s not based on exactly what’s entailed in that great “lie” scheduled to deceive most of the world’s population.
One thing is sure: Just within the past few years, we’ve endured deception and lies of cataclysmic consequences for the future of our nation and the world. These lies are spawned by the father of lies, Satan, and are setting the stage for prophetic fulfillment that’s on the brink of engulfing all who will be left behind when the next great intervention into human history by God takes place.
To begin considering all of this, here is the prophetic lie that will be the culmination, I believe, of all lies Lucifer has foisted upon humanity.
And then shall that wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (2 Thessalonians 2:8–12)
We pre-Tribbers believe this is saying Antichrist will be “revealed” after the disappearance of millions of believers. There should be no doubt by anyone—believer or not—that such a massive vanishing of people before the eyes of others would cause unprecedented panic. The world would, at least temporarily, go nearly insane.
I believe when all children go to Christ at the Rapture, the magnitude of that panic will be beyond anything we can fully anticipate. Even children at conception will be missing. The sheer terror almost certainly produced by such an occurrence is almost unfathomable.
So the powers that be—the human minions, backed by the demonic beings of Ephesians 6:12—will have to produce answers to quell the terror that will grow from that event.
Here is a scenario-type supposition I believe might hold at least a degree of possibility. Actually, I base my thinking on two elements that are becoming more prevalent in the news at this very hour.
The first is a proven compliance-assured matter, already validated as a winner for the globalists who want a one-world government. The second involves an answer to what that great lie of 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 might well be, long speculated by some. I’m pondering whether some combination of the two could be at the heart of the lie Satan will put forth to explain what happened to all those who suddenly vanished.
The First Element
I believe that most will agree that things changed perceptibly with the onslaught of the so-called pandemic near the beginning of 2020.
There eventuated, and in short order, an almost complete worldwide lockdown.
There had never been anything like it in history. No government, no dictator, had ever achieved such a global shutdown of human activity and redirection toward—demand for—compliance. We were to take the vaccine against the COVID–or else…or else we would lose our right to travel and congregate, lose our jobs and many other rights. At least that was the threat.
The Second Element
There is a ramped-up interest in extraterrestrial activity. The UFO controversy isn’t so controversial these days.
Now the governments—the US and others—have acknowledged that extraterrestrial evidence exists, and such information is continually forthcoming as governments release what much of the populace has thought about the probability of the presence of other life on other planets. This opens the door to helping foment the great delusion, once the disappearance of millions happens.
We have wondered whether the powers that be will say that those who have disappeared have been taken from the earth by the “space brothers.”
I offer two items of interest in thinking on how the two elements mentioned above might play into Antichrist and his Ephesians 6: 12 minions foisting the lie God’s Word predicts.
The First Element
The World Bank has created a global pandemic fund, the largest fund in its history. At the same time, preparations to implement the World Health Organization’s Pandemic Treaty marches forward.
We recently published an article about G-20 leaders calling for the establishment of global vaccine passports. In it, we included remarks by Indonesian Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin on 13 November, from Day 1 of B20 Indonesia 2022. “G20 country has agreed to have this digital certificate using WHO standard,” Sadikin said.
Earlier in his remarks, he mentioned that the global pandemic fund is the largest fund the World Bank has ever created and it will increase in the next 5-10 years. The Second Element

Everywhere we look, we see the stage being set for fulfillment of prophecy during the Tribulation. I’m just pondering whether the two items above might be combined to produce one of those stage-setting foreshadowings.
People are already conditioned for being controlled by governmental masters in the matter of a future pandemic that might be promoted as one even deadlier than the one that produced worldwide panic and unprecedented compliance. Many have been preconditioned to believe we will one day be visited by other beings from somewhere out there.
When millions vanish, might global leaders, under Antichrist, say it was a strange virus or microbe that caused the dissolving of flesh and bone? Will they say someone from “out there” is descending to help the people of planet earth, who now must accept a “666” vaccination/remedy?
Too fantastic, you say? Well, we believe Jesus will call us and we will vanish from earth in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, don’t we?
Can’t get more fantastic than that! But in the case of Rapture, it’s not a scenario; it’s an absolute promise from God Himself!
Here’s how to make sure you go to Jesus when He calls in that fantastic instant.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9–10)

Aliens introduced to a curious public can be traced all the way back to H.G.Wells’ War of the Worlds’ if I’m not mistaken that was late 19th or early 20th century-not sure but anyway through out all of the 20th century we’ve been inculcated with science fiction to no end. The many fake news items the world has believed for over a century now. You’re right Terry when you say it’s only a matter of time before another false doctrine maybe like the one you’re suggesting takes root, perhaps as you say in the Tribulation time. I was a huge Trekkie fan watching all the episodes & movies of Gene Roddenberry made for TV & the big screen. I was intrigued by the possibility of aliens intelligent enough to surpass humans and maybe even conquer us! This is just one more Big Lie from the father of lies-Satan.I no longer believe there’s intelligent life like us in the universe, rather the Lord created the vastness of our Universe for us to marvel at! Getting back to the so-called pandemics I’ve followed a number of people who propose this so called virus, not a virus at all, was created in the lab for the purpose of basically killing mankind, thus reducing the earth’s population-a goal of this New world order they’ve admitted. I’ve read Revelation many times, and for the life of me I could never figure what this one thing was that could possibly make the whole world follow a one-world leader, government and even a religion. I know Revelation explains it but still it didn’t make sense to me until I saw just how a world wide pandemic requiring compliance could fit the ‘bill’. And ultimately make the world’s population submit to an Authoritarian system like the one mentioned in Revelation. After listening to J.D.Farag’s Prophecy Update from Sunday, he enlightened me on what’s being called the Catastrophic Contagion-2025. I never heard of until his update. Check it out at JDFarag.org under heading ‘prophecy vids’ dated 12-18-22. It’s all leading to a scenario of another world wide contagion even though they claim its only a preparedness drill in case something worse happens in 2025. This same group predicted the Covid19 pandemic back in 2001! Look also who’s behind this- Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation & Johns Hopkins among other notable world globalists.
Shortly after Covid arrived, Connecticut did a 15-day lockdown to flatten the curve. Guess what? It didn’t flatten anything and cases just kept going up. That was when I first got suspicious and started doing some homework on the subject. I came up with a list and now, some two years later, has over 50 points that I question about the validity of this whole thing. I sent repeated copies to my federal and state senators, representatives, and even the governor. Now then, you would think they would want to show me where I was wrong, wouldn’t you? Well, guess what?
WITHOUT EXCEPTION I WAS TOTALLY IGNORED!
Either none of these people figured I was important enough to merit a response or else they didn’t have any way to refute my assertions. Probably it was equal amounts of both.
This so-called pandemic is the biggest fraud ever foisted on the world that I’ve ever seen – and my personal experience has been that otherwise intelligent people absolutely refuse look at the facts that show that a fraud it indeed all is.
I mention this because I think it is exactly the same kind of willing refusal to face the truth that will infect the whole world post-Rapture – and make most of those left behind eagerly welcome the false messiah Antichrist while having rejected the real Messiah Jesus all of their lives.

I have read this Rapture scenario in other Terry James articles and from other writers. I don’t find it farfetched at all. The government needs a good, firm lie and this fits the bill. Soon, most people will believe anything the government says and after reading enough articles in newspapers and seeing prepared video of it on TV, the populace will believe anything. They will be running around like chickens in a thunderstorm waiting for the little space creatures to pop up everywhere. Once they see the lie enough, they will be begging the government to save them.
What was most shocking to me about the mass compliance of 2020 was the complete loss of reason, the unwillingness to even look outside of the panic box into which they had been placed.
I concur with what you have written in this article. I, too, have watched and listened as those in power have amped up the ET prospects. Delusion will be satan’s most effective tool in fooling those left behind, as many have already proven to be so readily malleable. It isn’t the rejection, attempts to shame us, or the losses we personally suffered in 2020-2022 that grieve me most: it is the willing ignorance that will usher so many into irrevocable separation from the Savior, and an eternity in hell.
I totally agree, Cherry. I have found that even if the facts are presented which show that Covid was a Big Lie, most people still refuse to consider them. I like your phrase “willing ignorance” and that is exactly right. It is this kind of impaired and reprobate mentality that will usher in the Antichrist who is to come.
I believe the lie will be this simple, the God of universe, who wants mankind to live in harmony with nature and fellow humans, had to remove the trouble makers, the ones who love Israel and claim the things God called abomination are still abomination. They will declare Devine retribution for their attempts to thwart true peace! The Antichrist will have the solution to all the immediate problems.

Once a great deception is established it becomes easy to reinforce.
And this is done by building argument complete with proof texts and knowledge. The Spirit runs on different fuel** and yes it does seem foolishness to the wise. Especially those that are wise in their own eyes.
I could give references to which parts of Gods Word I’m relying on here, but I have found that general reading and re-reading of the whole of it and the context in which it presents itself is a far more powerful and reliable source than cherry picking your favourites.
PreTrib relies heavily if not completely on the doctrine of ‘imminence’, but the parable of 10 virgins tells of the appearance of The Bridegoom being announced, but giving time for a half of them to want to subscribe to the oil** that the other 5 have in easy in jars. On refusal they go to buy some with the expectation there is j-u-s-t enough time to make it.
I don’t know how an unborn child will be chosen to be taken away before its gets the chance to make a choice, yet the mother who supposedly communicated the Gospel for it to qualify gets to be,, well,, you know. I don’t know if and how those are the ones referred to as being especially hard for nursing mothers at that time. ( operative word here is “nursing”, or to those that give suck )
I don’t doubt that many of the elements bought into the article will happen in some way or another, but for it to be so neatly fitting together is a concern. As if that is the only conclusion. No Thanks. I could say more but given the rise of highly convincing chat robots in the last 3 months of posting date, ( I won’t even reference its name, the virtual egotist that it is will like seeing its name, and target the article, become aware and most likely add the article content above to its database to further fool the unsuspecting and hapless needy person )
Sounds like you are not a Pre-Trib rapture believer. I won’t try to change your mind, but I’ll tell you a few reasons why why I believe it.
1) Imminence. This just means there are no prophetic preconditions fro the Rapture, unlike Jesus’ Second Coming which can only happen after all the Tribulation prophesies revealed in Revelation. As we get farther and farther into these Last Days, the idea of it also meaning “soon” becomes ever more meaningful.
2) Kids being taken. I think this applies to anyone incapable either by young age or infirmity of accepting Jesus, based on the principle seen in Luke 12:47-48, not to mention Jesus’ high regard for children (Matthew 19:14-15). Besides, don’t human parents do the same thing, taking care of their kids when they are too young or inexperienced to do it for themselves?
3) There are the historical precedents of Enoch (Genesis 5:23-24) and Elijah not seeing death but being taken immediately into heaven (1 Kings 2:9-11).
4) Also, we have this: 1 Thessalonians 1:9-10.
5) Let’s look at one more thing. If you accept the premise that believers in Jesus have the Holy Spirit dwellling within themselves, then for any to be left here when God pours out his judgment on the Earth doesn’t make sense. If they were, God would be essentially punishing the Holy Spirit as well – which is part of himself. That would be irrational and that is something that God certainly is not.
I believe THEE lie is that you can become a god and never die (2 Thess 2:11). This verse uses the definite article “the” with “lie” which means Scripture is referring to a specific lie that already exists and what greater lie is there than that you can become as God and never die as in the Garden. However, I DO also believe UAPs (UFOs) and demons posing as aliens from other worlds could play a huge part in reinforcing and supporting/propagating THEE lie.
