There is talk in every political season of one “litmus test” or another. By this it is meant that in order to get the endorsement of one faction or another, a candidate must show–through a litmus test—that he or she supports the programs, platforms, proposals, or whatsoever of those whose endorsement they seek.

For example, a candidate, to be accepted by today’s Democrat party, must get behind a woman’s right to choose. That is, he or she has to totally embrace abortion at the level the Democrat Party champions. If a prospective candidate goes against this or any other litmus test, they can forget getting anywhere so far as concerns Democrat Party electability.

The Democrat Party rules committee determines who is “right” or “wrong” in this sense. One is determined to be on the “right” side or the “wrong” side of any given issue by what is considered acceptable ideology or viewpoint by the party’s rules.

By this process, the candidate is accepted or rejected as worthy or not.

The Democrat Party has been shown to support abortion, LGBTQ, open borders, sanctuary cities, anti-Second Amendment right to have and bear arms, anti-law enforcement issues, anti-Israel proposals and actions, and other such propositions that directly oppose conservative Christian views.

Democrat positions are considered on the left side of the political spectrum. That is, they are liberal or progressive in their ideological leanings. In these hyper-charged days in regard to politics, the views held by the Democrat Party are ultra-leftist in the view of most who want to maintain traditional American values–i.e., those generally held sacred since the nation’s founding. Those of us who hold to traditional American values are considered on the political right. The leftists consider us as radical right-wingers.

I agree that we who hold to the common-sense side of things in the world of culture and society are right. And those on the left are wrong.

They are not wrong because I say so, or because the US Constitution says so. They are wrong because God’s Word confirms they are wrong.

Discernment is not an option for the Christian. Jesus told every believer who would come down through the ages: “What I say unto one, I say unto all. Watch” (Mark 13:37). He was telling those of today who are in the middle of enduring the wrong being done that we are to observe these things and know how near He is to coming back to rectify that wrong. We are to know the times and seasons. This is a commandment, not a request.

We know what is right and what is wrong by comparing the things going on around us to what the Bible has to say about these things.

In the case of the issues championed by the leftists as given above, we, as Christians–as believers in the veracity of God’s Word—are to be discerning. We are to examine each issue and compare it to God’s Holy Word to discern whether the issue is right or wrong. 

Let’s do so to just a few of the things the political left champions.

Abortion

The progressive/left side of the political spectrum has championed this travesty that has killed more than sixty million babies in their mother’s wombs since 1973. They now, by and large, support the killing of a baby who survives the attempted abortion. They have seen to it that the right to carry out this grisly process has legal backing in a growing number of places. God’s Holy Word says that shedding the blood of the innocent is something He hates.

LGBTQ

The progressive/left fully backs the LGBTQ and all that organized anti-God coalition ravenously pursues. They demand that male can love male and female can love female in the romantic or sexual way without consequence or judgment from God or anyone else. They proclaim that marriage between the same sexes is the equivalent in moral legitimacy to heterosexual marriage. They declare that all have the right to become a gender other than that to which they were born. It is their choice, not any religious entity of any sort.

The Bible says it is an abomination for man to lie with a man and woman with a woman. It is a most egregious sin in God’s Holy eyes. His Word says that He created man and woman. He created them male and female. He ordained one man and one woman to be together in marriage for life.

Anti-Israel Proposals and Actions

The most prominent sign that lets the discerning Christian know where this generation stands on God’s prophetic timeline is the nation Israel. That nation–the Jewish people—stands starkly against the darkening backdrop of these last days. Israel and the world’s treatment of that nation demonstrates clearly that the time of Christ’s return must be very near.

First and foremost, in my estimation, is the denial that Israel is the Israel of old–the Jews of which the Bible says God brought from the loins of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

There is a growing denial even in the evangelical church that today’s Israel any longer is a nation blessed of God to be His chosen people. This lie is from the pit. Read Romans chapter 11 to get the absolute truth about God’s heart for this people. That heavenly embrace will never change!

This doesn’t mean that today’s Israel–the Jewish people–are perfect. They are far from it. They are in total spiritual blindness, the Scripture tells us. This is yet another confirmation from Bible prophecy that we are at the end of the Age of Grace. Only a remnant of the nation Israel will ultimately recognize their Messiah–the Lord Jesus Christ—when He returns at Armageddon. Only that remnant will be saved to repopulate the millennial Israel under the throne of David.

Still, they belong to God. Israel is the same Israel of old. God loves them and will move heaven and hell during the Tribulation to bring about a remnant that will believe in His Son Jesus as their Messiah.

And Israel is the chief signal by which we can discern what is right and what is wrong in looking at the political left. Here is a litmus test for you in this political season. There is a disdain for God’s chosen nation at the very heart of the Democrat Party. The following news excerpt tells the story.

Not a single 2020 Democrat candidate from the massive field spoke at AIPAC’s pro-Israel summit in the spring. But 5 of the 2020 Dems, Sanders, Buttigieg, Castro, Klobuchar, and Bennett, were featured at the J Street conference alongside anti-Israel activists, BDS supporters, and terrorists.

Those 2020 Dems who couldn’t attend the anti-Israel hatefest in person sent video messages.

Elizabeth Warren sent in a video message threatening to cut off aid to Israel unless it surrenders to Islamic terrorists. Then she promised to divide Jerusalem, turning half the ancient holy city into a killing ground for the murderous terrorists already occupying Gaza and portions of the West Bank.

Joe Biden, Beto O’Rourke, Marianne Williamson, and even Andrew Yang joined her in sending messages of support and friendship to the anti-Israel group which has featured BDS supporters and terrorists.

The majority of the 2020 Democrat field has aligned with an anti-Israel organization. (“2020 Dems Stand with J Street, Hamas and ISIS Against Israel – Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders declare war on the Jewish State,” Daniel Greenfield,  Frontpage Mag, Nov 1, 2019)

Discernment in today’s world is all important. God’s Word is the only measurement that can validate truth. “Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever” (Psalms 119:160).

“I believe what you have is retinitis pigmentosa,” the retinal specialist said after the test. It was what I believe he called a scleral exam.

In conducting the test, the retinal specialist uses the lower skeletal bone surrounding the eyeball as a fulcrum. He places a hard, plastic instrument that looks like a small shoe spoon beneath the eyeball, and then uses the lower bone forming the eye socket to pop the eyeball out to some extent.

I once heard Sugar Ray Leonard, the welterweight and later middle weight boxing champion say that he would rather go fifteen rounds with his chief nemesis Tommy “The Hitman” Hearns than to again have that examination. Leonard suffered a detached retina from a bout, so had to have the same type of exam.

I know exactly what Mr. Leonard meant. It was extremely painful and excruciatingly lengthy. The specialist then keeps putting the pressure at different points along the lower eye-socket bone to best pop the eyeball out while shining a painful light on the retina. He then stops to make scribbles on some sort of chart before returning to torturing the patient.

The exam was complete in about forty minutes. The doctor then put his thumb and index finger to chin and said, “I believe what you have is retinitis pigmentosa.”

My obvious question was, of course: “What’s that?”

“Well, it’s one we don’t know much about. It’s a degeneration of the rods and cones that make up the retina.”

“What does that mean?”

He said very matter-of-factly, as if giving a clinical report to a student, “It means the retina is being dissolved.”

“What does it mean about my being able to see?” I naturally asked.

He was looking at some sort of book. “It says here that most with the disease go blind.”

That was all in 1977. They didn’t know much about the disease at that time. They know a lot more today, but still can do nothing about the malady–i.e., it can’t be cured, although they are reportedly making strides toward artificially restoring some degree of vision.

Now, to all who are having retinal problems and must face a retinal specialist’s exam, I must offer this bit of comfort: They now have technological means (machinery) to do–with painless procedures–what the doctors did during that scleral exam. Never fear: You most likely will never have to face the procedure Sugar Ray and I had to face.

I am also commissioned, however, to forewarn a procedure that is going to be infinitely more painful: the Great White Throne judgment. It involves examination of a world of people going, well, blind–spiritually blind.

Thankfully, the Lord of Heaven has been with     yours truly all these years of going blind. And, that’s exactly what God has made it possible for me to do. That is, He has kept me going while physically blind.

I’ve been blessed beyond measure by His providing all necessary to accomplish things on His behalf in writing, speaking, and other ministry. I continue to, literally, keep going while totally blind, through God’s grace and permissive will.

What God gives us to do, He makes clear. It might take some time, but, eventually, ultimately, He will dissolve the haze and make our pathway clear.

Of course, we must make every effort to obey. As Dr. Charles Stanley puts it, “Obey God no matter what, and leave all the consequences to Him.”

Proverbs contains the Scripture that encapsulates this directive from on high: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6). It is with that divine imperative that my pathway was made clear on Good Friday, April 22, 2011. I’ve written of it many times in this and other forums, as well as spoken about the profound intervention God performed that Good Friday.

I died clinically three times because of the widow-maker heart attack. I knew precisely each time my heart stopped. I was instantaneously in the presence of heavenly beings–beautiful young men and women who were jubilant and inviting me to join them.

The third time my heart stopped and I was with them, I was running with them, as if in a glorious victory celebration.

The Holy Spirit has shown me on a number of occasions since that this was Hebrews 12:1-3 in action. The specific celebration was to impress upon my spirit that the Lord approves of, in particular, the message that Jesus is on the very cusp of returning. Even more specifically, I have had it validated in the deepest reaches of my spiritual heart that He is coming very soon in the Rapture for the Church–all born-again believers, according to Romans 10:9-10.

This will occur before God’s wrath and judgment must fall on an incorrigibly wicked world of rebellious God-deniers. And this gets back to that world of people who are going, blind. Sadly, they think they see clearly their pathway ahead. They believe humanistic endeavor can guide them to a preferable destination. But their vision is shortsighted. They suffer, you might say, from spiritual retinitis pigmentosa, at the basis of which is the soul-destroying infection called sin.

They keep going, while blind to truth, down that broad way that leads to destruction and the black abyss of eternity. So, my mission, my assignment, is to keep going, even though physically blind. Witness of Christ’s saving power is our heavenly mandate. That is what I intend to do. And, that is what you, as Christ’s representative on earth–His royal ambassador—are to do also.

The heavenly rewards for such faithful service are staggering to contemplate: “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9).

Our spiritual eyes must stay turned toward Heaven as we negotiate this darkening earthly traverse. The light of Jesus Christ will illuminate our pathway as we obey His commandment to go forth and witness of His power to save the soul, no matter how sin ridden.

Christ’s promises are beyond our ability to fully imagine. Things of unparalleled splendor and glory that we will experience at the moment of Rapture–or death, if we pass instantaneously through that doorway—are incomprehensible from this present perspective. Our vision will be made perfect at that time: “For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known” (1 Corinthians 13:12).

Anytime this writer hears a theory from a source linked to a so-called conspiracy website or other such questionable source, the discernment antenna goes up. It’s kind of like Uncle Martin’s shiny metal antenna extending from the top of his head on that old TV program, My Favorite Martian starring Bill Bixby. Maybe some of you will remember that program…probably not. Nonetheless, that’s, figuratively speaking, what happened as I thought while preparing to compose this particular commentary. The antenna went up. I had to exercise extreme precaution in my cogitations. In fact, it’s getting more and more difficult to know the difference today between conspiracy theory and what’s actually happening.

Again, I just can’t get beyond what’s going on in the American political world in thinking on these “Nearing Midnight” commentaries. I believe within the deepest reaches of my spirit that the evil machinations we are witnessing involve the wrap-up of all that must be arranged in order to conclude this Age of Grace.

The rage against this president ratchets to a new level of national dementia with each news cycle. President John F. Kennedy’s assassination, along with those of Dr. Martin Luther King and Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, brought about excruciatingly tight security measures. But despite the US Secret Service efforts, born of an almost paranoia about preventing future such murders, attempts on the lives of President Gerald Ford and President Ronald Reagan came close to being successful.

Security measures by the Secret Service have been made increasingly stringent since. The result is that there have been no serious assaults on succeeding presidents.

Quick and severe consequences for anyone making threats have been a big part of the security that assured such a record of safety for the nations’ chief executive. Prior to George W. Bush’s time in office, any mentions of threats against a president, no matter how mild, were met with instantaneous confrontation. However with Bush 43, there seemed a lack of concern. There was even a novel written about his assassination. A documentary-type film, as I recall, was in the news but never received Secret Service attention to any great extent.

His successor, Barack Obama, was pretty much free of threats of assassination. With President Donald Trump, everything has changed. The warnings have come from every quarter on the left of the political spectrum, threatening everything from blowing up the White House to decapitating Mr. Trump.

Those threats came from a woman rock star and from a Hollywood actress, as you might recall. Neither is in jail, or was even charged and brought to trial so far as I can determine. Their supporters (including many within the mainstream news media) defended those women as simply being artful in their descriptive objections to the illegitimacy of Donald Trump’s election in 2016.

The lack of clearly observable action by the Secret Service has, in my opinion, brought on a much higher level of danger to this president.

We can determine that elevated risk to Mr. Trump by things going on at the present. James O’Keefe, a journalist working undercover for Project VERITAS, released secret recordings of some interesting things going on behind closed doors at CNN, the TV cable network.

[O’Keefe] on Thursday released a third round of secretly recorded video clips documenting CNN’s political bias, this time [featuring] a death wish for President Trump and an admission that the network has sold itself to the devil.

The videos were recorded by former CNN satellite uplink technician Cary Poarch, who says he recently agreed to wear a hidden camera “to expose the bias” at the network.

Video released Thursday shows Mike Brevna, a floor manager at CNN, complaining about how much the network has changed over the years.

“When I got this job 13 years ago, CNN was nothing like this…. They sold themselves to the devil. It’s, it’s sad.” Brevna said.

Another segment shows CNN Field Production Supervisor Gerald Sisnette wishing for Trump’s death.

This is a story that’s not gonna go away,” Sisnette said.

“Oh, the Ukraine thing? Or just Trump in general?” Poarch asked.

“Trump in general. The only way this will go away is when he [Trump] dies. Hopefully soon,” Sisnette said. (“CNN Boss: We’ve sold ourselves to the devil,” WND, 10/17/19)

There has been no action, as far as I know, to this, an obvious threat proclaiming that the president of the United States must die. And this real threat-craziness, with no publicly observable pushback by Secret Service authorities, is why the lines get blurred between actual danger and conspiracy kookdom.

It was intimated on the Common Sense Show with host Dave Hodges that former FBI Director James Comey plans to spend the next thirteen months working to drive Donald Trump from the presidency. This, according to a New York Times piece written by Ryan Christopher Jones. The conspiracy-laden report indicated that Comey, former VP Joe Biden, and Republican Sen. Mitt Romney, issued “thinly veiled assassination threats” to Mr. Trump on the eve of his latest trip to Dallas.

The implication was proffered that during the most recent Democrat debate, Biden started to reveal plans to remove Trump from office because the needed action was so important. Then, the report said: “At that point, Biden muzzled himself. He [knew] he had stumbled in what has become typical for Biden since he is obviously suffering from cognitive decline.”

The piece, written just prior to Trump’s trip to Dallas, went on to declare: “And here are Hillary and Bill waiting in the wings for Donald Trump’s demise so Hillary can rightfully claim her throne as US President. If an attempt is made on President Trump, will we believe that the Clinton’s did not know?”

Jones wrote further: “I do not believe that Donald Trump will be assassinated in Dallas. However, there is no question in my mind that the President’s visit to the site of JFK’s murder is being used to send the President a very direct message. ‘Do what the globalists want, or else’.  Where the hell is the Secret Service?”

A good question indeed. Why hasn’t the United States Secret Service been more overtly and observably active in combating the vicious verbal threats against this president?

The answer likely would be: “That’s why it’s called the Secret Service.” And that’s a good answer, most likely. But it doesn’t make us feel any better.

It is almost certain that with all the hatred being ginned up by the mainstream news media, Hollywood types, and many of the Democrat Party against President Trump, someone–deranged or other–should have by now made an attempt on his life. We have no reports of that happening. So the Secret Service has, we should hope, been doing its job in…well…secret.

However, there is another “secret service” that I think is more responsible for this president remaining safe. Billy Graham wrote a book some years ago about this organization. Angels: God’s Secret Agents, I think was its title. Let us not stop praying according to 2 Chronicles 7:14, praying that these agents continue to do their job.

Let’s take solace in the fact that justice will ultimately be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him: But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he feareth not before God. (Ecclesiastes 8:11-13)

Regions directly north of Jerusalem are being stirred to turmoil by the whirlwinds of prophetic destiny. Therefore it is the responsibility of watchmen on the wall to closely examine all things powerfully affecting that area so concentric to Bible prophecy yet to be fulfilled.

The specific prophecy, of course, involves that given about the Gog-Magog battle in Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39. We have been watching the stage setting for some time. Russia, which we believe to be Rosh, Iran (the greatest part of which is almost certainly Persia), and Turkey, which we believe to be a reference to most of what was ancient Togarmah, have been coalescing to Israel’s north for quite some time. This alone can be seen as nothing short of astonishing. Now, with the whole region directly to Israel’s north lighting up with what looks to be prophetic pyrotechnics, the spiritually attuned discerner’s observational powers should be fully turned on and in focus.

We have some from the Christian media community making declarations of what developments mean.

Pat Robertson said the following on his 700 Club show: “I am absolutely appalled that the United States is going to betray those Democratic forces in northern Syria, that we possibly are going to allow the Turkish to come in against the Kurds.” In typical “word of knowledge” power he claims to have, he offered further: “The President of the United States is in danger of losing the mandate of Heaven if he permits this to happen.”

While I can’t and don’t wish to be able to claim such “word of knowledge” ability to pontificate, I’m concerned, but not necessarily against, the president’s decision. I certainly don’t believe his decision to withdraw America from the immediate region of hostilities will doom Mr. Trump to a loss in the 2020 presidential election.

It might just be that the move is by the very hand of God. We can know for sure that America withdrawing in such a manner has in no way slipped up on the Creator of all things. This has not escaped His omniscience.

Turkey invading northern Syria to get at rebels of the region is a serious matter. The Kurdish people are in danger. Many among them are Christians, and that is one reason for many concerns among we who pray for our brothers and sisters there. But so should we pray for all who face death and destruction in this or any military incursion. So, I, like you, don’t view all this lightly.

I do, however, consider these matters from a particularly focused perspective. Things taking place in that biblically important part of the world at this late hour in this quickly fleeting Age of Grace must be critically important. In view of all other converging signs we are discerning, any such apparent stage-setting should light up the eschatological radar screens. 

It is proper to consider, I think, whether this president’s decision to remove American involvement from that specific area is God-ordained. I don’t mean that Mr. Trump might be aware of it possibly being a directive from on high. That in no way is part of this bit of prophetic pondering on my part.

We know that America is not mentioned by name in Ezekiel’s Gog-Magog prophecy, just as the nation isn’t mentioned in any prophecy by name. Here is what we do know God’s prophetic Word says about the nations observing that attack from the sidelines –the attackers we believe to be led by Russia, Iran, and Turkey.

Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil? (Ezekiel 38:13)

My scenario-pondering is wrapped up in the following. I claim no “word of knowledge.”

With America removed from that region of interminable conflict, the other nations that presently comprise NATO and all other countries of combatant-loaning sorts might not be willing to intervene against the assault. Most consider Israel as the problem in the world. Think about the UN being almost totally against Israel on every issue.

If America isn’t there at the time of the Gog-Magog assault, these nations will almost without question not seek to oppose the coalition, led by a powerful Russia.

The removal of America at this time from this theater of future war is most interesting to contemplate. God tells in this prophecy that He, alone, will save His chosen nation. There will be no doubt about who does the rescue.

America’s military might won’t do so. That’s for sure.

Each morning in my prayer time, I am prompted to ask that the Lord continue to restrain the evil coming against His prescription for godliness. That evil seems to be closing in like an eerie, early morning fog. But unlike such naturally occurring, gathering opaqueness, the increasingly darkening supernatural mist that is engulfing life in America today harbors genuine threat. There are real bogeymen who intend harm lurking in that satanically spawned fog.

The Lord of Heaven didn’t put the following in His Word without good reason:

And now ye know what [restrains] that [Antichrist] might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now [restrains] will [restrain], until [the Restrainer] be taken out of the way. And then shall [Antichrist] be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders. (2 Thessalonians 2:6-9)

All the Christian needs do to discern that this generation is being enveloped by the end-times “mystery of iniquity” fog described in the Apostle Paul’s above warning is to consider his “perilous times” forewarnings. Let us again examine just a couple of these characteristics of end-time man given in Paul’s prophecy:

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. (2 Timothy 3:1-8)

“Lovers of Self”

This characteristic is made manifest by social media. Facebook and all other forums hold captive the minds–particularly of Millennials, many of whom live daily in deep concentration on drawing attention to themselves. This “universe of self” opens their souls to invasion by the original being that had “I trouble.” Lucifer and his many “I wills” (Isaiah 14: 14) wishes to infect every human with this attempt to take attention away from God and His prescription for conducting life in the proper way.

The fallen one, through social media forums, has found a very effective conduit for funneling the minds of human beings into channels other than those leading to godliness.

“Unholy”

This characteristic made its infectious influence known just a week or two ago. We remember the thirty-one-year-old Dallas police officer who shot and killed an African-American man in his apartment. The officer claimed she thought she was entering her own apartment and found her door unlocked. A figure came at her from within the darkened apartment, and she shot what she believed to be an attacker with her service revolver.

Having heard all that’s been said about the case, I do believe this is exactly what happened. But, she was convicted of murder and given a 10 year sentence.

In a most touching scene following the sentencing, the victim’s brother, an eighteen-year-old young man, witnessed to the woman who had killed her brother, forgiving her and urging her to accept Christ. The judge who had just sentenced her, equally moved to compassion, followed suit in hugging the condemned woman, as did the victim’s brother, then the judge gave the woman a Bible to take with her as she served her time.

The crowd outside the courtroom was outraged at the light sentence and at the judge for her compassion.

The Freedom from Religion Foundation was even more enraged in the legal sense and sought to condemn with ethic violations the judge, who happened to be an African-American like the victim and his young brother.

This rage was directed at the Bible and how the judge had “crossed the line” in giving the book to the girl. This is an infection that now permeates much of American culture and society. It is an unholy characteristic that will one day bring God’s wrath and judgment.

This corrosive, stifling, corrupting toxic cloud of evil has the effect of dividing America. The political effects are the ones that are usually at the heart of my asking for the Lord to restrain the evil. Never in my memory–and, I believe, never in American history– has there been such a powerful, all-out assault against a president. The attackers are almost as one in opposing anything that the God of Heaven has given in His Holy Word about how life should be conducted. These who assault, for the most part, want to cast aside America’s founding principles–principles the early fathers used to form this republic. To the discerning spirit, this is an alert pointing to which side of this national divide is the right side to join.

Recently, Hal Lindsey wrote of this divide. He said that so far it isn’t as bad as the Civil War in terms of guns actually being turned on each other. However, he said the following:

But in one way, our situation is worse. Even though divided over slavery, Americans of 1861 held to a similar set of values. In his second inaugural address, President Lincoln said that northerners and southerners, ‘read the same Bible and pray to the same God.’

Not anymore.

The Bible doesn’t list the United States as a major player in world politics during the Tribulation. For that reason and others, I have been saying for a long time that the United States will be drastically weakened by the time of the Tribulation. Some prophecy teachers have predicted nuclear war, or that some other weapon of mass destruction will be used against America. Many of us have hoped that between now and the Rapture, so many Americans will come to Christ, that their disappearance at the Rapture will cause the problem. I am one of whom Hal writes. Rather, I was one of whom he writes. By that, I mean that I no longer believe it is simply the number of Christians inhabiting America that keeps America afloat as a nation-state–i.e., it isn’t the loss of Christians in large numbers that will bring America down into catastrophic collapse. We seem to be a diminishing segment of American culture in the sense of governing influence.

It is rather that invincible, supernatural Restraining Force alone, who resides within each believer in Christ, whose voluntary removal from earth will allow that noxious cloud of mysterious iniquity to, for a time, seemingly take over planet earth.

That Restraining Force indwells each person who names the Holy Name of Jesus Christ–that is, each person who is born again from on high. Invoke His Name in your time of prayer. Ask that the Restrainer continue to hold back the fog of evil trying to swamp this generation, thus to choke any possibility of eternal life from every unregenerate human being.

Thankfully, that Restraining Force, the Holy Spirit, is alive and well, and is not willing for anyone to perish, but wants all to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).

Last week on Jan Markell’s program, Understanding the Times, aired on 850 radio stations across America, Jan interviewed yours truly on our new book, Discerners: Analyzing Converging Prophetic Signs for the End Of Days.

Thanks to her (in my view, gifted) interview talent, and thanks to the precarious disposition of this generation, the conversation was (again, in my view) Heaven-directed. This program pointed to the crucial position the current generation occupies with regard to Heaven’s view of things discussed during that hour. We looked with exceedingly sharp focus on exactly why this generation must be so near the moment of Christ’s interdiction into the corrupt affairs of mankind.

All of that said, Jan would be quick to agree, I think, that neither she nor I should get glory for truth brought out during the interview. Our back and forth, I sensed, flowed from Holy Spirit influence. Near the end of the broadcast, she asked what I thought was the primary thing to look for as the hours, days, months, and years move swiftly toward that divine intervention.

With the many chapters written by some of the best writers of our times having just been briefly dissected during the hour, the term “convergence” came to mind, of course. This term is in the subtitle of the book. Each writer–it was profoundly obvious as I went through the book in my job as general editor–zeroes in on every assigned prophetic signal of where this generation stands on God’s prophetic timeline.

Dr. Larry Spargimino writes unerringly on the many characteristics of rebellious mankind found in 2 Timothy 3. Jeff Kinley outlines, with stark examples, the dark delusion that is descending upon humanity. Second Thessalonians 2 is manifesting during this generation.

Don McGee presents an eye-opening case for the social and cultural decay corrupting this generation. He brings forth evidence that evil men and seducers are becoming more prevalent, turning people away from God. Nathan Jones thoroughly deals with the Daniel 12:4 developments in technology and travel. He expertly lays out issues and events now fulfilling Daniel’s prophecy that the book of end-time things will be opened to people alive at the end of the age.

Daymond Duck, one of the most highly sought-after speakers at prophecy conferences, brings forward a tremendous chapter giving the issues and events that are showing Satan’s preparation to bring to power his Antichrist. Duck goes through the many aspects of the globalists’ methodologies and organizational machinations to establish the man of sin’s dictatorial regime.

Dr. Tom Hughes examines the many signals that the false religious system of Revelation 17 is in the process of developing. He presents, in vivid detail, the evil that is fomented against biblical Christianity, such as the pope claiming that even atheists will be in Heaven. Pete Garcia analyzes what the seventieth-year of Israel’s rebirth into modernity means. He explains how and why things surrounding that rebirth portend the nearness of Christ’s return.

Phillip Goodman and Grant Phillips, in each of their chapters, weave a tapestry of what a Christian’s comportment should be like as we see that day approaching. Discernment, as believers bear witness for Christ, has never been more critical. Gary Stearman gives a cutting-edge portrayal of what the satanic drive toward socialism and the globalist rage are all about. This rebellion means that judgment hangs heavily above a rebellious creation.

Ryan Pitterson brings great enlightenment to the mix of how crucial discernment is in understanding these strange times. He raises awareness of how much like the days of Noah and the days of Lot the world is now, writing in dynamic fashion about the days of Genesis 6 as juxtaposed against our own time. The violence and anti-God comportment of mankind have brought about the “reprobate mind” forewarned by the Apostle Paul (Romans 1:28).

Jan, herself, undertakes a powerful exploration of why there is such hatred for Christianity and for the pre-Trib Rapture in particular. Second Peter 3:3-4 prove just how things are shaping up for the last of the last days. Tim Cameron paints a terrifying picture of what the post-Rapture will be like for those left behind, yet he presents the biblical prescription for how to avoid that fate.

Dr. David Reagan puts together a devastating case against those who expound on the lie that God is a “cosmic teddy bear” who would never let anyone go to a fictional place called Hell. At the same time, he writes truth about God’s righteous judgment and wrath and presents the blessed assurance that the Creator isn’t willing for anyone to perish, but wants all to repent and be saved.

So, the word “convergence” encapsulates the many end-time indicators of where this generation stands on God’s prophetic timeline. Certainly, these writers deal thoroughly with each of these major signals.

But to answer Jan Markell’s question–or, “to fulfill my assignment” might be a better way to put it—I needed to look deeper into the premise. Remember, her question basically asked what I thought was the primary thing to look for as we move swiftly toward Christ’s Second Coming and, before that great event, the Rapture of the Church).

I answered during the broadcast, and my answer hasn’t changed. It can’t change, because it is indeed the number-one signal of where we are on God’s prophetic timeline.

Again I go to two of the tremendously talented writers and observers of this time. Bill Salus explores in-depth geopolitical developments to Israel’s north. He gives in considerable detail current issues and events that bring to life Ezekiel’s prediction of the Gog-Magog attack on Israel. I speak specifically of the Russian-Iranian-Turkish coalition that has now formed and is greedily eyeing Israel to the south.

Jim Fletcher, one of the most astute researchers, columnists/reporters, and speakers on matters involving God’s chosen nation, delivers a stunning chapter on the developing hatred for the Jew and for Israel. He lays out in excruciating detail how even the evangelical church has within its ranks a growing contingent of those devoted to the destruction of that prophetic nation.

So, to answer Jan’s question–which gets right to the heart of being a discerner–I have no surprise response. Israel is the one most profound sign to observe in these closing days of the age. The true discerner will particularly need to watch the ongoing drive to establish peace in that conflict surrounding God’s chosen nation. There will be no true peace until Christ, Himself, makes that peace. He is the one and only Prince of Peace!

It doesn’t surprise, nor should it, that every news cycle brings into greater focus where this generation stands on God’s prophetic timeline. Anti-God forces are in a never-ending building project, constructing a world laid out by their master architect–and their father, the devil.

Satan’s blueprint for moving the bulk of humanity into an earth of his own grand design is on track. The march back to Babel as in the days of Nimrod and the tower meant to reach symbolically into Heaven (Genesis 11) is observably being engineered at an accelerating pace.

We have looked many times at the madness being fomented by these forces that are directed by wickedness in high places. The activity has not abated.

It seems to me that, lately, that evil has been concentrated in laser fashion on the young–in some cases, the very young. It’s as if the chief power and principality in those high places has determined that this current crop of youth must be inculcated to best carry out his master blueprint.

I offer as primary evidence just a few examples. These involve issues and events of recent days and illustrate Satan’s humanistic minions’ attempts to build a case against the God of Heaven.

The first example is the attempt to bring the youngest children under the tutelage of transvestites. Transvestites, of course, are almost exclusively men who have fetishes for dressing in women’s clothing. They, in the past, were considered mentally ill. They were kept away from children. A high percentage of these have been involved in pedophilia. Now, these men “in drag,” as the term has it, are invited into libraries to “teach” youngsters about the joys and adventures of thinking and acting apart from what was formerly considered normal.

As has been reported by my friend Daymond Duck and others, through articles posted by Rapture Ready, these transvestites have been invited by churches to act as goodwill ambassadors in greeting people who enter for services.  Anyone who dares to criticize these formerly considered aberrant individuals are marked for ridicule as hatemongers. Some jurisdictions even prosecute those who publicly criticize such men.

God creating men as men and women as women is unacceptable in these jurisdictions. The powers that be–those ruled by the grand master architect of the coming world order—are dead set on tearing down truth set in God’s order of things. They are obviously concentrating on this process at the most basic foundation of mankind. They are attacking the very young, those who represent the future of planet Earth.

The human minions, whether knowingly or unwittingly, are working within the luciferian scheme to do away with any influence by the God who created called man.

A second example blatantly in our faces is the drive by these same minions in the same high places of wickedness to indoctrinate children with the “climate change” religion. Make no mistake: It is a religious zealotry and fervor the devil is using to ramp up rage against the Almighty.

Children at the most elementary levels are being taught that man, not God, controls the environment. They don’t yet use the term “Mother Earth worship,” but they do intend to make children understand that it is Mother Earth, not Father God, that is the source of their future security and happiness. The only time God is mentioned by the climate-change/global warming minions is to accuse the Lord with the term “act of God.” This, they readily use when there is a weather, volcanic, or earthquake tragedy anywhere in the world.

A week or so ago there was this, as we consider this case the minions are building against the God of Heaven.

Children who attend New York City public schools will be allowed to cut classes on Friday to join Swedish climate change activist Greta Thunberg for a protest at the United Nations. 

“@NYCschools will excuse absences of students participating in the #ClimateStrike on Friday 9/20. Students will need parental consent. Younger students can only leave school with a parent,” the school district tweeted along with a tweet from Mayor Bill de Blasio saying the students would be allowed to take part in the protest. (“NYC Schools Allowing Students to Skip Class to Join Greta Thunberg for U.N.,” Daily Plug, September 20, 2019)

The minions carrying out this inculcation under the master architect’s direction are choosing the youngest among us to woo the children in Pied-piper fashion. A sixteen-year old girl from Sweden has been chosen for that role. The report further explains:

[Greta] Thunberg started Fridays for Future school walkouts in her hometown of Stockholm a year ago, a movement that has spread around the world and, according to the Fridays for Future website, 2,400 events will be taking place around the world from September 20 through September 27:

The week’s crescendo of events will bracket the UN Climate Action Summit taking place in New York on September 23rd. We’ll be sending global leaders the message that our #house is on fire and that we’re calling on them to do what the science clearly tells us must be done.

All eyes are on the United States which already has 145 cities signed up, with participation that is expected to be tenfold when compared with  the first two global strikes in March and May of this year.

New York is expecting a huge turnout, as is Montreal (Canada) which saw 150,000 take to the streets to demand climate action in the largest strike so far without the presence of Greta Thunberg. (Ibid)

If space permitted, we could look in considerable depth at the madness in California to back up the premise of this commentary. I’m referring to the legislature blaming “religious groups” who hold to biblical understandings of sex and gender as responsible for “disproportionately high rates” of suicide among homosexuals and transgenders.

In Sacramento, the state assembly declared through concurrent Resolution 99 that homosexuality and transgenderism are “part of natural variations that occur in sexual orientation and gender identity” and condemns counseling services that help people resolve unwanted gender confusion or same-sex attraction.

Suffice it to say that the master architect continues to present his lying narrative through satanically specious evidence that God has no business in the business of mankind. But we are thankful Bible prophecy assures that the same God who is presently so reviled by the wicked minions will one day forever put an end to the madness.

Even so, come Lord Jesus.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s reelection bid Tuesday September 17 has definite prophetic overtones, I think. The election is still not confirmed one way or the other as of this writing. But we will offer the following thoughts nonetheless.

Like in the case of Donald J. Trump’s political turmoil in the US, Netanyahu’s whirlpool of opposition that seeks to destroy him is a struggle against wicked powers and principalities to be sure. The ongoing storm involving both leaders continues to focus the attention of the prophetic observer upon end-times stage setting.

The Israeli prime minister, prior to Tuesday’s election, questioned just who the Israeli people wanted to trust to negotiate with in trying to work out a peace deal. Did they prefer to work with Trump and his effort at peace, or with those of Netanyahu’s opposition?

The prime minister reminded how he, Netanyahu, had helped convince President Trump to declare Jerusalem Israel’s capital. He had, he also reminded, convinced Mr. Trump to move the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Additionally, he announced that, if reelected and upon forming an effective coalition government, he would annex the Jordanian Valley and the northern reaches of the Dead Sea for Israel–a thing that would help to consolidate stronger defensive buffer zones from attacks from the Jewish state’s surrounding enemies.

Netanyahu further sought to provide proof of his close working relationship–even friendship—with the American president. He said that he told the US administration of his plans to annex the Jordan valley well before making the announcement publicly. He said “someone in the White House” had said off the record that “Netanyahu’s plan does not impinge on Trump’s.”

The prime minister said further, “That’s saying a lot.” He went on to express the vast differences in dealing with the current US president as opposed to the previous.

“For over eight years,” Netanyahu said, “I blocked the attempt to push us into the ’67 borders, to uproot settlements. Then, in the last three years, I’m changing the course of Jewish history by getting recognition for settlement, for the borders.”

He declared that he had “persuaded Trump to recognize Jerusalem as our capital, move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, recognize our sovereignty in the Golan, get out of the horrible Iran deal—that Gantz and Lapid [political opponents] supported—and now I’m doing the same thing [not only] vis a vis the Jordan Valley, but also all the settlements inside and outside the blocs. This is crucial.”

Immediately upon his declaration of his intention to annex certain swaths of the Jordanian Valley, the Palestinian leadership complained that this action will assure hostilities for the next hundred years. Leaders of both Russia and of Turkey joined in the rant against Netanyahu’s planned action.

For many years I and others who observe political movement within the Middle East–Israel in particular–have been curious about the entity called Jordan. Most who study the end-times alignment of nations look with interest at the following prophecy: “He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon” (Daniel 11:41).

The “he” in this prophecy is reference to the Antichrist, who will run rampant over the nations of the Middle East at the height of his power. It is fascinating to consider that present-day Jordan is carved from the territory called Moab in the prophecy. The children of Ammon, of course, are, in modern terms, the people of Jordan.

There are two nations among Israel’s antagonists not mentioned in the Gog-Magog coalition that will storm southward to destroy Israel and take “great spoil.” These countries are Egypt and Jordan.

These are the only Arab-Muslim nations in the region who have officially made peace with the much-hated Israel. While it is not yet clear what Netanyahu’s intention to annex these buffer lands mean in the overall scheme of stage-setting for fulfilled prophecy, we must consider developments with piqued focus.

A number of prophetic passages in the Bible foretell that both Egypt and Jordan (Moab and the children of Ammon) will fare well during Christ’s millennial reign. Of course, the people who come out of these regions to inherit that thousand years of a magnificently restored planet earth will be a remnant. These will be believers in Christ for salvation who survive the terrible time of Antichrist rule and of the judgments of the Tribulation era.

However, the prophecy above and others seem to indicate that people, particularly in the area of present-day Jordan, will avoid Antichrist’s devastation for the most part. Jesus said to each who call Him Lord: “What I say unto one, I say to all, watch” (Mark 13: 37).

As our new book Discerners: Analyzing Converging Prophetic Signs For the End Of Days lays out for believers in these closing days of the age, it is time to seek understanding of the strange things going on all around us. The Holy Spirit will make the madness of it all discernible, if we but seek to know about the signs of the times.

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned (1 Corinthians 2:14 ).

A most fascinating book occupies my current thinking. The relatively new release, The Snapping of the American Mind by David Tupelian, is, in my view, one of the great books describing what happens when a people turns their backs on God Almighty.

This isn’t a review of that book in any sense, but I intend to one day soon write one. The book’s contents contain wisdom that seems taken straight from the Apostle Paul’s forewarnings as given to Roman believers of his time–thus to us all who name the Name of Christ.

Never in the annals of history has development of the biblical description of the “reprobate mind” been more clearly manifest than in present-day American society and culture. We’ve looked a number of times at the nucleus of Tupelian’s work that so directly reflects, I think, the words of Paul: “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient” (Romans 1:28).

Again, it might seem overly America-centric to keep bringing up our nation as the center of focus in dissecting these end-times matters. The world, after all, is filled with sinfulness as egregious as our nation’s sins. However, in the matter of looking at the descent into madness–through the snapping of the American mind, as author Tupelian would have it–the example of the United States today serves empiricism well. There is no more appropriate nation-state to consider in discerning these strange days so near the end of this Age of Grace.

And there is nothing more important to analysis of all this madness than thought processes filled with understanding. That’s the reason I’ve chosen the title of this commentary.

Many believers in Jesus Christ for salvation of their souls believe that this generation is nearing the time of Christ’s Second Coming. Sadly, the greatest part of God’s family either don’t realize how close Christ’s return is, don’t believe it is close, or really don’t choose to think about it at all. Jesus, Himself, as we have recently looked at, was righteously angry because the religionists of His time, while He was in His physical body, refused to understand that God in the form of Messiah was in their presence. These Pharisees and Sadducees not only should have believed, but should have been informing the Jewish people under their tutelage. They should have been doing so based upon the many signs and wonders their Messiah was performing.

Jesus spoke to their evil: “When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red. And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?” (Matthew 16:2-3).

Because of their neglect and deliberate actions to keep the people from this man they considered not sent from God, the people of Israel died in their sin from lack of knowledge. The nation is still suffering the consequences of their evil actions.

This is the danger of people not being taught today the truth that Jesus Christ is about to intervene into the affairs of mankind. He is coming again, and all indicators point to the likelihood that His coming again is very near indeed.

I just saw a headline as I write this that 45 percent of college students want “In God We Trust” taken off America’s currency. Obviously, too many parents, pastors, and teachers, both in Sunday schools and in secular classrooms, are without this thing Jesus called “discernment.” Else this statistic would not be there to indicate the sad state of spiritual understanding in our nation today. These have failed miserably to properly instruct and inform many of America’s children.

This is the purpose of our newest book Discerners: Analyzing Converging Prophetic Signs for the End of Days–to raise spiritual awareness of these troubling times and what it all means, and to help parents, pastors, and teachers–and all others—to understand the times that are so obviously near the end of the age.  We want to help all who name the Name of the Lord Jesus to be watchmen on the wall.

A man stood up the other day at one Democrat Party function or the other. He was a fellow Democrat with those gathered, as I recall.

The man with the microphone for that moment said something like, “Our nation is in serious trouble, and the only one who can make it right again is the Lord Jesus Christ.” That’s not his exact quote, but it was just as strong as I’ve paraphrased here.

There was immediate and loud reaction to his words. They were not in support of the speaker’s sentiment. Far from it; there were shouts for him to shut up and even stronger invective, as I heard the reaction.

They gave him the proverbial hook in no uncertain terms.

He was exactly right, of course, and what he was doing on that Democrat stage, I must admit, baffled me. Having heard all such references to God in a positive way shouted down by Democrat Party gatherings since well before the 2016 presidential election–shouted down with boos and hisses of serpent-like virulence–I was surprised that even one among them still held to the view he tried to express.

Now I am aware that there are many true Christians even among the Democrat Party as it is currently constituted. However, it is getting more and more difficult to come to that conclusion based upon the God-opposing madness that–again, in my view— has become manifest since the time immediately following John F. Kennedy’s presidency.

It is as if that political element within America is waging war on God. I’m not thinking here in terms of symbolically or allegorically or metaphorically, or any other way than literally. It seems the Democrat Party, with the full-blown assistance of the mainstream media and every other humanistic element of culture and society, is at war with God–specifically with Jesus Christ.

Lest critics brand me as a falsehood-spreading, right-wing deplorable, I offer a couple of pieces of evidence of recent vintage to support my case.

While the anti-God forces seek in every way, and on a daily basis, to push Christian beliefs from the public square, the champions of this force incessantly seek to claim that Christians are doing what they, themselves, are doing to remove all godly governance.

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) passed a resolution at its summer meeting championing “religiously unaffiliated” voters, who the resolution noted are the “largest religious group” within the party.

The DNC’s “Resolution Regarding the Religiously Unaffiliated Demographic” stated that “religiously unaffiliated Americans overwhelmingly share the Democratic Party’s values,” and “have often been subjected to unfair bias and exclusion in American society.”

The resolution also takes a shot at deeply religious voters, who are accused of using their religious beliefs to oppress other groups.

It said “those most loudly claiming that morals, values, and patriotism must be defined by their particular religious views have used those religious views, with misplaced claims of ‘religious liberty,’ to justify public policy that has threatened the civil rights and liberties of many Americans, including but not limited to the LGBT community, women, and ethnic and religious/nonreligious minorities…

DNC chair Tom Perez has been openly critical of church-going Americans in the past.

Perez said in December 2018 that Republicans have an advantage because “people buy” what they hear at church.

“It should come as a surprise to no-one that that person has elevated the issue of courts to the top because that person on the pulpit is saying ‘ignore everything else that this person has done and is doing, we have to focus on one issue of Roe vs. Wade.’ And people buy it. Because that’s their only source,” Perez said. (“DNC Resolution Celebrates Democrats’ ‘Largest Religious Group’ — And It’s Not Christians,” Daily Caller, Peter Hasson, senior reporter, 8/30/19)

The “religiously unaffiliated” designation is used to avoid “we are against any governance by any deity” label. America is still a nation that has a significant remnant of God’s people, and the Democrat elite know it. They are masters, it seems, of luciferically inspired language.

Nowhere is the growing war against true believers in Jesus Christ more pronounced than within the so-called higher education institutions of America. We can read or hear news reports almost hourly of professors ranting against the way America was founded. They always bring the slavery issue into the mix of their vitriolic condemnation of the Founding Fathers. They ignore the goodness within the Founders’ intention to, ultimately, bring about realization and acceptance that all men are created equal and that God is that Creator who favors no human being over another.

One example in American academia today of the hatred for all that is Christian is Jeff Klinzman, an adjunct English professor at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He claims to be in sympathy with the domestic terrorists called Antifa, and posted the following on Facebook. “I know who I’d clock with a bat.”

He was referring to President Trump, who had said previously: “Antipas are Radical Left Wack Jobs who go around hitting…people over the heads with baseball bats.”

The professor also wrote that he wanted to “stop evangelical Christians” and posted a poem that said, “Kill them all and bury them deep in the ground.”

Klinzman explained why he shared the poem, “It’s not pretty, and I’m not proud, but seeing what evangelical Christians are doing to this [country] and its people fills me with rage, and a desire to exact revenge.”

When contacted by Cedar Rapids ABC affiliate KCRG, Klinzman said he was part of the group, “I affirm that I am antifa.”

Antifa is a far-left group that often goes to rallies to fight white supremacists or groups they perceive to be racist. They also have a history of attacking journalists covering the protests. Jesus’ own words immediately came to mind when observing the treatment of that aberrant member of the Democrat Party’s most active membership, the man who stood with the microphone claiming Jesus as the answer to all problems.

They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.  (John 16:2-3)

Just as the pious Jews sought to kill those who believed Jesus was Messiah, the elite of that Democrat Party gathering seem to be of the mindset reflected by the words of the professor as given above.

But it is not just those within the Democrat Party who are waging war against Christ. The whole world is going mad with the reprobate mind that has infected mankind because of collective resistance to Heaven’s governance. They are primed, sad to say, to accept their false Christ, who will soon appear on the world scene. Antichrist will wage the ultimate war against Christ. He–and all who follow him—will meet their devastating end upon the killing field called Armageddon.

Don’t be part of that end-times war-making. Accept Christ as prescribed in God’s Word.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9-10)
